Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent breakfast, lovely location only a few minutes walk in to Mevagissey. Rooms perfect and very comfortable. Car parking outside hotel. Excellent views out to see. We had an amazing stay and will be returning.

The weather was brilliant during our stay and the ambiance of this well run hotel certainly matched the sunshine. Clean, bright and friendly. Lovely suntrap terrace with views to die for, especially if you are enjoying an afternoon home made scone cream tea! Our room had it's own terrace, was roomy, spotless and very comfortable.

A lovely stay,perfect hosts nothing to much trouble,superb breakfast, and a great evening meal,hotel was spoless clean and a really comfortable bed. a lovely lounge with a great view,will be coming back next year for a longer stay.

Sam and Roy made us very welcome. The recently refurbished hotel is clean, warm and quiet. There are spectacular views from the very relaxing bar conservatory and balcony.

Very nice couple running this small (11 rooms) at top of the bay, excellent breakfast and large modern room. Views are great, small park nearby with steep walk down to harbour as alternative to road. Parking (free) outside hotel fine. Eden and NT property about 17 min drive. Evening meals (currently) Friday Saturday Sunday ( no comment as not there then) Breakfast excellent, and tea (extra) on balcony was great for view

Lovely hotel situated at the top of a steep hill overlooking the bay. The views are to die for making the short walk from Mevagissey, well worth it. There is a lovely path through gardens which takes the steepness out of the hill and plenty of seats along the way. Arrival at the hotel was exceptional, was able to park the car outside the hotel.Arrived a little early, which was no problem as we were met by Sam who offered us a nice cold drink and was able to sit on the terrace admiring the views. Sam took us to our room, after giving us a tour of the dining room, bar and lounge, which was overlooking the bay, where we were lucky enough to see dolphins in the bay. Room was exceptionally clean and modern, newly refurbished and stunning views. Coffee machine, tea making facilities. Bottle of water and cookies was also a nice touch. Bathroom was exceptionally clean with lovely walk-in shower. Comfortable bed which provided a restful night sleep. Food was exceptional stayed on a bed and breakfast basis arriving on a Sunday with evening meal optional on Sunday and Monday of our stay. Evening meal was freshly cooked with a nice choice available and again lovely views of the bay. Breakfast was also freshly cooked with a great choice. Food was stunning and service was exceptional. Had a good free internet access. There was lots of information available for taxis and local attractions. Highly recommend this small and friendly hotel. It was a great stay in a brilliantly run hotel. The owners are really friendly and the amenities in the room and the hotel are great. Really good to see their focus on sustainability. You cant beat the view you get from the room windows or the patio outside.

I think this is one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely and Sam and Roy are the perfect hosts and the view from the bar is fantastic. We will be returning asap

Mevagissey Bay Hotel is amazing, beautiful, clean and freshly refurbished throughout the hotel the bedroom was no exception. Owners Roy and Sam couldn't be more friendly or helpful with nothing being to much trouble. Breakfast was cooked with fresh local ingredients and Roy's homemade granola is worth another visit on its own. Views from the lounge and dining room are stunning.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Mevagissey Bay Hotel. Sam and Roy, the owners, are awesome and amazing hosts. They were very accommodating and welcoming. The bay views from the hotel were incredible. We had an ocean view room that was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with homemade granola and made to order eggs. Highly recommend.

Honestly, I haven’t seen a bathroom like the en-suite in our room since the 80’s. John and Elica are a nice couple but they have let themselves down. The hand basin had a crack in it and wallpaper was peeling off the wall. It was generally tired and not conducive to the room rate charged. We were on a road trip and this was the only blot on an otherwise enjoyable trip. Frankly, room 6 should not be used until this is rectified. Honestly, as far as condition of the room is concerned, this is the worst B&B we have stayed in for some time. Very disappointed

Sam was a wonderful host and very authentic. We enjoyed being there. We had the cellar room, which was ok burt not liek the pictures. Bad luck, but next time we would come back again.

Very enjoyable two night stay in scenic fishing village with Mevagissey Bay Hotel just a short walk away. Really enjoyed the enhanced continental breakfast with limitless toast and croissants. Very spacious room featured a luxurious walk in shower.

We stayed for 3 nights. Food option was minimal, cooked breakfast was rather small with one option unavailable was told the chef burnt it and had to be completely thrown away then next day no Delivery. They don’t give you time they constantly come over to remove plates/bowls and cutlery that aren’t being used. You feel rushed to eat and go. The bed comfort wasn’t great for me the bed was on the hard side. Welcoming was lovely. Walls are super thin in the rooms I could hear someone down the corridor snoring, conversations within the rooms and even conversations from the main atrium. Rooms are pretty small. We didn’t have main course dinner as we felt we would be rushed and the potion would also be small just like breakfast. There’s a very minimal option to choose from. Overall the experience was okay but I wouldn’t stay there myself personally. I feel the hotel is based more for older people.

Lovely hotel situated at the top of a steep hill overlooking the bay. The views are to die for making the short walk from Mevagissey, well worth it. There is a lovely path through gardens which takes the steepness out of the hill and plenty of seats along the way. Arrival at the hotel was exceptional, was able to park the car outside the hotel.Arrived a little early, which was no problem as we were met by Sam who offered us a nice cold drink and was able to sit on the terrace admiring the views. Sam took us to our room, after giving us a tour of the dining room, bar and lounge, which was overlooking the bay, where we were lucky enough to see dolphins in the bay. Room was exceptionally clean and modern, newly refurbished and stunning views. Coffee machine, tea making facilities. Bottle of water and cookies was also a nice touch. Bathroom was exceptionally clean with lovely walk-in shower. Comfortable bed which provided a restful night sleep. Food was exceptional stayed on a bed and breakfast basis arriving on a Sunday with evening meal optional on Sunday and Monday of our stay. Evening meal was freshly cooked with a nice choice available and again lovely views of the bay. Breakfast was also freshly cooked with a great choice. Food was stunning and service was exceptional. It was a great stay in a brilliantly run hotel. The owners are really friendly and the amenities in the room and the hotel are great. Really good to see their focus on sustainability. You cant beat the view you get from the room windows or the patio outside.

Honestly, I haven’t seen a bathroom like the en-suite in our room since the 80’s. John and Elica are a nice couple but they have let themselves down. The hand basin had a crack in it and wallpaper was peeling off the wall. It was generally tired and not conducive to the room rate charged. We were on a road trip and this was the only blot on an otherwise enjoyable trip. Frankly, room 6 should not be used until this is rectified. Honestly, as far as condition of the room is concerned, this is the worst B&B we have stayed in for some time. Very disappointed

The hotel was set in a lovely area with a fantastic view of the harbour. The staff were incredibly friendly without trying too hard at the same time, especially Sam who answered all of our requests. The breakfast was also exceptional and we now regret not eating an evening meal there which was offered although you do have to book early to get what you want. Overall its a great place to stay and I would recommend it to visitors. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed for 3 nights. Food option was minimal, cooked breakfast was rather small with one option unavailable was told the chef burnt it and had to be completely thrown away then next day no Delivery. They don’t give you time they constantly come over to remove plates/bowls and cutlery that aren’t being used. You feel rushed to eat and go. The bed comfort wasn’t great for me the bed was on the hard side. Welcoming was lovely. Walls are super thin in the rooms I could hear someone down the corridor snoring, conversations within the rooms and even conversations from the main atrium. Rooms are pretty small. We didn’t have main course dinner as we felt we would be rushed and the potion would also be small just like breakfast. There’s a very minimal option to choose from. Overall the experience was okay but I wouldn’t stay there myself personally. I feel the hotel is based more for older people.

A great hotel with a wonderful view of the sea. Sam and Roy were both very welcoming and were brilliant hosts. Very comfortable bed and the breakfast in the morning was really nice. A great find, which I hope to return to! Would highly recommend.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent breakfast, lovely location only a few minutes walk in to Mevagissey. Rooms perfect and very comfortable. Car parking outside hotel. Excellent views out to see. We had an amazing stay and will be returning.

This small (11 rooms) property is more an enhanced B&B than a hotel but lifted far out of what would normally be expected by impeccable personal service from John and Elleke and amazing views of Mevagissey Bay and the picturesque harbour. Handy location for visiting various Cornwall attractions including the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. If you’re driving, the narrow, twisty (and sometimes steep) local lanes require full attention but that’s the only caveat. Recommended.

Fremragende ophold i et helt nyrenoveret hotel med skøn udsigt over Mevagissey bugten. Værtsparret var enormt søde og imødekommende, morgenmaden var høj kvalitet med en mindre buffet og morgenmad tilberedt efter bestilling. Vi spiste også middag en aften hvor vi fik en veltilberedt og velsmagende Boeuf bourguignon. Alt i alt en skønt ophold, og vi kommer gerne tilbage.

Mevagissey Bay Hotel is amazing, beautiful, clean and freshly refurbished throughout the hotel the bedroom was no exception. Owners Roy and Sam couldn't be more friendly or helpful with nothing being to much trouble. Mevagissey Bay Hotel is amazing, beautiful, clean and freshly refurbished throughout the hotel the bedroom was no exception. Owners Roy and Sam couldn't be more friendly or helpful with nothing being to much trouble. Breakfast was cooked with fresh local ingredients and Roy's homemade granola is worth another visit on its own. Views from the lounge and dining room are stunning.

An excellent week's stay at this hotel. Sam, Roy and the team made us feel very welcome. Hotel is very clean and comfortable with a nice well stocked bar! Breakfast was a lovely treat with variety on offer. Fantastic views with a short walk down the hill to good pubs and eateries. Would recommend and hope to return in the future.

Views to die for whether you are in the lounge, dining room or bar. Very clean everywhere and all the staff are very pleasant, helpful and determined to make your stay a great one, The icing on the cake will always be for us The owners and hosts Roy and Sam. We have travelled all of Europe and beyond on our motorcycle for many years and not come across 2 people more welcoming, funny and totally intent on making your stay fantastic. Thanks Roy and Sam for the interesting and hilarious nights in the bar and thanks for just being you. We were genuinely sad to go home.

Sam & Roy the hosts are most welcoming, the hotel sits atop the highest point of Mevagissy overlooking the spectacular bay, there is a room with seating arranged to take full advantage of the view. The hotel is perfectly placed to use as a base for coastal walks and famous local attractions. Breakfasts are generous and freshly prepared, simple food is available in the evening with plenty of local hostelries to pick for an evening out. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend The Mevagissy Bay Hotel if you are considering a stay in the area.
