We booked this property because it advertised an indoor pool. This was the only reason we booked here. The pool had been closed for a long time, and yet it is still listed on the booking page, complete with photos.

The staff is friendly. April Wilson, the manager is excellent. The breakfast is good and the pool water is amazingly warm. The only "negative" is the bed height. The top of the bed is nearly 3' off the floor. Management has put a small step stool in the rooms for shorter individuals to get on the bed. My wife is about 5' and had to use the step stool.

Spent one night while making a long drive between states. Room was comfortable but humid. The hallways felt nice and dry and cool but it just felt damp in the room and smelled faintly like a wet dog. Pool was great, our son really enjoyed it. Breakfast was pretty standard hotel fare, not bad.

The very first room I checked into was very smelly. They gave me another one it was better but a strong sense of chemicals where present. Booked based on the pool picture but it was nothing close to that in reality the pool facility is hot and humid you can barely be there and much smaller in real life. Some of the towels were not sparkling white. And also the shower pressure was horrible. Shower head was horrible too no adjustments.

Staff was neither welcoming or rude just a general business like demeanor. What I didn't appreciate is prior to booking I spoke with front desk who started their pool was heated and working, upon arrival I once again confirmed the pool was heated. Needless to say it was either not heated or not working as it was freezing cold. Spoke to the front desk who advised they turned the temp up, stayed out there for awhile and it never got anywhere close to warm

Nice hotel room, clean, and spacious even for a two queen. The bath drain did have like a slow drain making me have to add more water to my daughters bath. The pool was also closed which was not put anywhere online but should be. We were disappointed about that. Dawn in reception was tremendous. She came over and talked to my daughters and they ended up hugging her goodbye. The breakfast room left some to be desired with a bunch of two person tables spread out and hard to sit together as a family of 4 but the couch in the middle near the fireplace was super nice.

Room was decent and minimal, bed was soft but saggy. Overall clean enough and no smells. Hallway had strong food smells and stairwell had dog waste smell and dirty walls. Outside front door also had a strong dog waste smell and dying plants in pots. Check in was awkward, not polished but employees are trying to do with less it appears. Tea and coffee were awful and zero fruit or non dairy options. This hotel is ok in a pinch - it was clean - but misses the extra hospitality pluses one gets at Hilton and Marriot, usually.

Nice hotel close to major highway. The room stayed very damp despite the ac running. I was moved to a new room on day 2 and the updates were nicer there. I think the aca need to be maintained so they dry the air.

There was mold everywhere in each of the rooms we checked into. Mold was also in the and coming out of the bathroom vent. Management refused to refund and also lied to Expedia when they said there was none. I tried three rooms all had the same issues. This was a terrible hotel, the front door didn’t work and also smelled liked smoke everywhere. I’ve never complained about a hotel or business until now but I’d never ever stay there or use best western again. The manager said they would do what they did when Expedia called and inquired and unfortunately they lied about the mold in the room

Older hotel, but it’s been updated and the room was clean. Beds were comfy. No real complaints there. When we first walked in, the room felt super humid, which was strange because the A/C was already running. Not sure what was up with that, but it was definitely noticeable. The bathroom didn’t have a fan or vent, which isn’t great, and the shower had one of those low-flow heads that just kind of trickles on you. Breakfast was solid though. Pretty typical hotel stuff, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, waffles, but all of it was actually pretty good. The staff was friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. Overall, not a bad stay, just felt like we paid a little more than we should’ve for what it was. Clean, decent, but nothing special.

The hotel was priced similarly to the hotels around it. It’s lit and decorated as an upgraded property. It even has been refurbished. The proof is in the pudding though. We sank into bed and slept badly. The lighting in the room was dim and uncomfortable and there is 0 ventilation in the bathroom, so it turns into a sauna the moment you have any steam. It’s those details that really end up mattering. Can I sleep well, can I get ready in comfort around a shared bathroom.

A bit noisy with all the truck traffic right out front of the building. Wanted a copy of my receipt for the visit. But, desk clerk unable to give me one because I purchased via third party(Orbitz). However, I opted at booking to pay at the property not pay ahead. So, I should have been given a an invoice receipt for my visit but didn’t.

Overall, this place was convenient & clean, with excellent service at the front desk. Daily housekeeping was a nice surprise. There was no recycling option but I don't think there's much of that in the Harrisonburg area. My only complaint was that our room often smelled of cigarette smoke, perhaps because the outdoor smoking area was below us. This only happened at breakfast time and in the evening. Perhaps the smokers can be given a spot away from the building?

Do not believe the photos online. The hotel has an extremely foul, stale oder. There are areas where you can see pain over spaces that clearly need to be repaired/replaced. There was visible mold in our shower and when we reported to the hotel staff his response was very dismissive. I was extremely uncomfortable but because the booking was nonrefundable we were forced to stay. Take my advice find another hotel!

I’ve stayed at many BW Plus hotels and this one was was definitely not up to par with my previous positive experiences I’ve come to expect. Overheard a manager talking about being understaffed while sending home an employee saying they were cutting hours??? Better choices in the area

Due to weather conditions, we had to modify our plans very last minute, we were leaving from Montreal and going to Cocoa florida. We contacted customer support, who contacted the hotel to cancel our reservation, which was past the delay, and it was none negotiable to reimburse us, this was very deceiving considering the last minute change of plan which was for our own security.

When you walk in the facility it is very stark & unwelcoming. The receptionist was very nice & efficient. The hook that holds the shower head was broken so you had to hold the wand while trying to shower. What happened to the plain old stationary shower heads. Why switch to a hand held shower head? The bed was comfortable & the room was clean. When I went for breakfast around 8:30 A.M. the staff was having breakfast & in the way of customers trying to get their food. If the staff is going to eat breakfast it should be before or after the paying customers have eaten.
