Wildflower Farms, Auberge Collection

The staff is very kind on site, albeit quite young as a whole. (as is the clientele - we didn't see many guests or staff over 35). The staff prior to checking in is extremely difficult to reach and is unhelpful. I had to call 10 times and leave messages and book appointments (which no one attended) to reach someone who could help me schedule my itinerary. Things I was finally able to book were not in the system when I arrived, though the staff there kindly took care of it. There is not much to do at the resort, which surprised me. I also expected more flowers. It was very, very brown in September, when my gardens are at their most colorful. I saw quite a lot of goldenrod and asters, but not much color aside from that. Personally I would add some colorful wildflower gardens and broadcast native wildflower seeds in the fields. And make all the pots a bit less drab. The one flower garden with a few rows of dahlias, zinnias, and celosia were pretty and I liked that guests could cut the flowers, though I found that out by accident. It's something really great that should be promoted more. They even let us pick vegetables from the farm, which I also found out by accident but which was a fun and unique amenity. They should water and deadhead the dahlias so they grow better - they were quite sad. I get the whole natural thing but it's maybe a bit too extreme. It's very quiet and peaceful, and the cabins are clean and well appointed.

Our stay at Wildflower was incredible- truly a lovely New Years experience! The cabins and property were beautiful, restorative, and uniquely luxe- so different than staying in a nice hotel. Every little detail was paid attention to! We’d brought our dog with us and he had the best time- everyone was so sweet with him and it truly is dog friendly. The real draw that will bring us back again though is how friendly the entire staff was, and the classes led by Ashley! Thomas and Nick and so many other staff members were amazing and the donut focaccia experiences were the reason we booked this place, and will definitely bring us back. The Valley Ritual at the spa was the best we’ve ever had, and we really loved the entire spa staff as well.

Our biggest gripe was the service - for the price they ask, the service is subpar and does not meet the standards of other Auberge properties. We were frequently forgotten, whether at the restaurant, coordinating car pickups (always too early or too late), and/or the front desk constantly seemed confused. We noticed this as a pattern across the resort, with many people getting up from their seats trying to get someone's attention. We also never got a tour of the property, and our bags weren't in the room as anticipated. For dinner service, we were told we couldn't sit for 30 mins, when in fact our table was empty the entire time. They told us they were "pacing the staff" when in fact half the restaurant was empty. Come check out, we asked for an extended checkout, which they obliged, only to call back 10 mins later to say they couldn't accommodate, then sent someone for our bags, in which we weren't ready to leave yet (it was 9:15am for an 11am checkout). We participated in the picnic, Mercedes experience and bouquet-making class. All enjoyable and easy to join (or not) based on your tastes. Overall, the property again is beautiful, but the faulty service left a poor taste in our mouth.

Just 2 hours from NYC...It seems like you are camping in the jungle. Unique Luxury Property, Full of nature and high-end services, Very attentive staff. I Can't wait to go back again.

The property is in a gorgeous setting with beautiful views. It's a truly special retreat. Cabins are chic and cozy. Great trails for short hikes and really appreciated the amenities and activities. The spa and hot tubs are top notch and I enjoyed a pilates class with Lori. The food and beverage program is very well done - plenty of veggie and healthier options. The staff was very attentive and hospitable. If you're not driving, we found it possible to book Ubers with 15-20 minute wait time to Amtrak, so just give yourself extra time.

Beautiful property with luxurious spa and dining facilities with nature all around you. Rooms were very cozy and staff were very amenable. Exploring the flower patch, vegetable garden, and farm animals was a special treat.

Beautiful place. Highly recommend taking advantage of offerings from resort or you will be sitting around alot. Enjoyed Bee Hive expereince and fly fishing off campus. Food & Bev good, but should be better. Slow turns at tables, luke warm dishes and not a true sense of service until the last night we enjoyed a great dinner there. New Paultz worth a drive too. Rent bikes and hit rail trail!

The staff (every single one!) was cordial, personal, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay luxurious. Clay restaurant was beautiful— think ski lodge meets Michelin starred restaurant. Cozy, and comfortable. Wine list was somewhat surprising. I would have liked to have seen more local vineyards and distilleries represented.

Love place, very relaxing but think breakfast should be included in the room rate
