Love every moment of this hotel stay. Inside is like part church part historical landmark, with lots of museum level art work, and one of the comfortable bed and room I've stayed anywhere. Entrance to hotel isn't distinct, but once inside, place is wildly fascinating and staff very friendly. Parking off street is abundant and free, easy walking distance to town center, musical venues, laundromat, and convenient stores. Since town is small, not ideal for long stay, but there numerous cute small villages to explore, including Haro, which is capital to Rioja and home to many restaurants featured in Michelin guide, like Nublo, just 19 minutes away. Spa services available at their affiliated location just 5 mins away. I can't wait to stay here again.

Lovely town in easy walkimg distance, which maybe why there is no bar or restaurant. Parking was a limited but there was spaces at either side of the proprty. Building and rooms were great.

Paradores always offer a special ambience and the service is accordingly. We enjoyed the accommodation. The breakfast met our expectations and the dinner at the partner hotel provided the necessary steps after a fine meal.

Lovely Parador in 16th Century convent. Room was excellent. No restaurant on site but only a short walk in to town, which has some good bars and restaurants.On site parking was limited, but plenty of parking in nearby streets which felt safe. Would stay again

Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful building, stately rooms, where you seem to go back in time. Enjoyed the view over the courtyard. We went to the other parador for supper, would have preferred to have the option to stay at our own parador, but booked knowing that this wasn’t an option - we felt the atmosphere was worth it, and were not wrong. Good breakfast, although the coffee was disappointing. Friendly, courteous staff, an absolute pleasure to stay here.

Edificio imponente y personal muy amable, Las camas comodísimas. En pleno centro de Santo Domingo. Los baños quizá ya necesitan una actualización. Desayuno no tomamos (hay varios sitios alrededor muy buenos para desayunar, quizá no de la misma calidad que el del Parador obviamente) El tamaño de la habitación bastante espacioso y reseñar que no es necesario poner esa cantidad de colchas y sábanas en pleno verano, pues es un trabajo de más para las señoras que arreglan la habitación y para el alojado que luego tiene que quitarlas)

Beautiful old convent with amazing art & architecture. We did the half board (breakfast & dinner). Breakfast was great, dinner was just ok. The dinner was at another location but it was a 5 minute stroll so not an issue. We asked for ice the first night and got it no problem. The second night we were told it wasn’t possible to get ice. When I pushed back we got ice. Weird. We really loved the little town and would go back.

Went during pilgrimage and loved this Parador. So close to everything and so quaint. We did the Camino de Santiago, St. James original, and without knowing, this was on the Camino. Loved seeing all the Peregrinos. Staff was super friendly. Left my adapter in last hotel, and they even had a US adapter for me. Will definitely be back when I do the Camino.

Wir hatten einen Special-Preis für ein 3Bettzimmer gebucht da wir ein großes Zimmer wollten und bezahlt! Als wir zu zweit im Hotel ankamen, erhielten wir ein Zweibettzimmer ohne Kommentar! Am nächsten Tag sprachen wir den Mitarbeiter darauf an und dieser meinte, das Zweibettzimmer unterscheidet sich nicht groß von dem gebuchten, es ist alles ok! Da wir Pilger sind, wollten wir nur einen Kaffee und kein Frühstücks- buffet! Es war in diesem Hotel nicht möglich nur einen Kaffee zubekommen! Entweder ein Frühstück zu 12.50 € oder nichts! Das ist uns auf dem gesamten Weg nach Santiago nicht passiert! Schade, denn das Hotel hat wirklich Charme, nur der Mitarbeiter sollte dringend ausgewechselt werden!

Two reasons to visit this charming hotel on the Pilgrim route are the attractive town and the superb restaurant in Villalobar which is only about 6-7 minutes drive. We hope to visit the Parador again.

Went during pilgrimage and loved this Parador. So close to everything and so quaint. We did the Camino de Santiago, St. James original, and without knowing, this was on the Camino.
