With a police station nearby, it was excellent in terms of security and was near a historic tourist attraction(白象街), so there was a nice building and lots to see.

The property has 24/7 reception. Great views to the river and good access to tourist attractions and downtown. Staff are very helpfull and friendly. The restaurant and breakfasts arrangement are generous and provide a great break fast variety. We would stay here again, great facilities and room layout. El personal no es el más cálido comparado con los otros 4 hoteles en los que nos hospedamos en China pero estuvo bien. Solo el último día nuestra tarjeta no pasó para el desayuno y la que nos atendió en la entrada no fue muy amable y tampoco hablaba nada de inglés así que fue un poco incómodo pero en general bien. Overall the hotel was excellent with good breakfast, the room was like a fully equipped apartment rather than a hotel room, the staff were very helpful. As for the location it was right on the river with easy access to walk along in the evening, the metro was a taxi ride or a 30 min walk.

Room was very big! Got the studio premier and it exceeded our expectations, didn’t expect there to be lots of space and even a washer/dryer duo in the room. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good mix of Chinese and Western food. Staff was extremely helpful and spoke some English. Not a far drive from the main areas but still far enough to be nice and quiet. Highly recommend!

We had the best stay at Somerset - hands down the BEST! They upgraded us to a 2-bedroom suite and it was enormous! The view of the Yangtze was magical. I didn’t want to leave the room - I just wanted to sit by the window and watch the river flow. Everything in the room worked perfectly. The beds were super comfortable. The pool is a major perk- so is the robot that delivers drinks and snacks. Definitely order something from the robot! I’ll always stay at this hotel when I’m in Chongqing. It honestly felt like home.

Good sized room, clean, checkin and checkout efficient, not sure about the location as I didn't get chance to walk around much! Perhaps 15 minutes from the subway but didi is cheap enough. Used the place as a hotel rather an apartment so didn't need the kitchenette etc but it all looked decent.

I like it. Their staffs are friendly and nice. The room is clean and welly kept. It is safe and secure with a police station in next block. The MTR is not nestby. Public transportation is not convenient. However, the local attraction, the “White Elephant Street" just 3 minutes uphill walking in the back of the hotel. This is also the walking shortcut to other local attractions and lot of local dining choices within 15 minutes. After you know this shortcut, you won't feel any inconvenience anymore.

Besides the sofa cushions that have old stains, the bed, bathroom and kitchen are clean and neat. Love the attentive services by the staff. The morning buffet was crowded as the seating space is limited, gotta share tables. The buffet has a good spread of local and western. However the hygiene level can be improved. Examples, the buffet food are not covered, when ordering the noodles to the chef behind the counter, we are literally talking over the dishes at the counter. The dining place is warm as the sun shines right into it, fans were placed around and tends to blow used serviettes and food crumbles over the table onto the floor.

One of the best travel decisions I’ve made. The accommodations were like a 2 bedroom apartment. Perfect for a family. Comfortable and much cheaper than two separate rooms at a comparably rated hotel. I will absolutely stay here again!

The staff here has excellent attitude in helping guest to resolve their issue. We left a jacket in one of the Didi ride. Fiona helped me to navigate through the complex process of reterieving a lost item through the Didi app as a local phone number was required. We managed to get back our jacket. Kudos to Fiona and the team!

Great for a short stay, especially if you need a washing machine mid trip. The hotel has everything you could need, a shop a few doors up and plenty of cheap taxis just a few minutes wait away. Chongqing is a very hilly place (obviously) so be prepared to have to walk up lots of hills, the hotel is at the bottom of a hill near the river so unless You take a taxi, you’re pretty much going to encounter a hill to get to where you’re going. Would stay again

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and has a pleasant scent. We booked the 1 bedroom executive and the room was very grand in size and impressive. The river and city view was spectacular. The bed & bedding was very comfortable to relax and sleep in. We had an issue with the laundry machine in our room and the staff were very quick to service us immediately and resolve the problem. Darcy went above and beyond for us and we are grateful for her. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the clean rooms and exceptional staff. The breakfast buffet offered Asian and western foods and was very delicious.
