The hotel is at the center of everything, extremely convenient. Room is spacious and exactly like the pictures. It is amazing to know the building is 800 years old, which makes us feel so special about our experience. The breakfast is awesome. We loved the place and will come back again.

Wonderful stay here for 4 nights in Florence. The location is excellent for walking to see the major sites. The great part is how quiet it was. Our room was on the second level of the B&B’s part of the building which faced the inner courtyard and was SO quiet (even tho it was near a popular intersection of restaurants that were very busy at night). We had the 3 person room (as it was all that was left when we booked), so the room was quite large. The bathroom had a tub/shower combo & lots of towels. The beds were comfy-firm (king sized) and the a/c worked great. There’s a small elevator if your bags are heavy. The breakfast in the morning is excellent - seating in the bright, sunny area adjacent the reception area. Incl several baked goods (croissants, buns, cakes, tarts), sliced meat/cheese, scrambled eggs. Cereals, yogurts, fruits, juices and a great coffee machine (espresso, latte, americanos). Would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent facility. Dimitri was so friendly and bent over backwards to please. Large well appointed immaculately clean room with good breakfast. 800 yr old building. Perfect location . Located in beautiful building with elevator. Walk to sites all within 15 to so minutea/. Very good sound proofing when windows closed. Excellent AC . Appreciated help with calling taxi when we left. The only possible issue is entering building - have to call by home cell phone so more difficult with eSIM. Cafe, breakfast, gelato, take our lunch sandwiches , grocery , pharmacy, ATM, all less than 5 minute walk away

My husband and I had a delightful stay at Locanda Orchidea. Luciano runs a great B&B. The rooms were spotless and we enjoyed the daily breakfasts. Luciano was flexible in check-in since we arrived late and he was very helpful in providing logistical information. The B&B was in a very convenient location. I would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Florence.

No geral é um ótimo local, com localização excelente. Host flexível e nos ajudou a carrega as malas. Quarto grande, limpo e com boa infraestrutura tanto do quarto quanto do banheiro. Os únicos pontos negativos foram: cobertura do wi-fi que não chegava na cama, café da manhã não incluso (somente com custo adicional de 7 Euros por dia) e barulho a noite, por estar acima de uma rua movimentada com bares ao redor.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for just a night but had such a lovely experience! Communication was great and the instructions for our late check in were easy to follow. The room was clean and comfortable and the surrounding area was peaceful while still having lots of dining options and being easily walkable to all of the sights and museums around the duomo. We will definitely stay again when we find ourselves back in Florence!

Very nice staff especially Victoria! Delicious breakfast buffet choices. Close to lots of restaurants and stores. Helped us by calling cabs for us, giving us directions.

There was a lot of “self help” required. The desk shuts down at 5ish and it’s back till around 8. Breakfast is optional at this “B&B”, but it’s only €7. The housekeeping was excellent and the shower was great.

Our stay was amazing! We felt well taken care of and the property was very flexible with our check in time. The location is very central allowing us to easily walk everywhere in Florence. Hyggelig og sentralt bosted. Vi hadde problemer med å komme inn fordi resepsjonen stengte kl 17, og vi ankom en time senere. Det ble en del digitale vansker før vi var inne på rommet. Etter det var alt greit.

The owner of the B&B was extremely helpful with directions. Breakfast was a buffet of delicious treats. The hotel was centrally located near all museums and walkable to the train station or the bus stop to the train station. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Perfect location . Located in beautiful building with elevator. Walk to sites all within 15 to so minutea/. Very good sound proofing when windows closed. Excellent AC . Appreciated help with calling taxi when we left. The only possible issue is entering building - have to call by home cell phone so more difficult with eSIM. Cafe, breakfast, gelato, take our lunch sandwiches , grocery , pharmacy, ATM, all less than 5 minute walk away

At first, we had a hard time finding it because it is in the pedestrian zone, so we go stopped off by a cab a short distance away. Once inside, everything was wonderful. Rooms were nice sized, beds comfortable, the host helpful. Breakfast was excellent! It is easily walkable to every thing we wanted. The only bit of trouble was not finding a taxi on the day we left, a Sunday, so we had to bump our suitcases along to a piazza with a taxi stand in order to make our way to the train station, but we can’t fault our host for that!

We had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and comfortable in a charming historic building. The manager stayed a bit late for us so could be there for our check in. The area is wonderful with many quality restaurants nearby and super close to the center. One thing to note: This is not a B&B. There is no breakfast offered. While it is true that breakfast was not mentioned in our reservation, there are pictures of breakfast in the listing and, by definition, B&B is bed and breakfast, so we were a bit confused by that. The gentleman explained that the hotel is under new management and no breakfast was offered. I think Expedia should remove B&B from the title (The hotel plaque on the building does not have B&B) and remove the breakfast photos as well. That would clear everything up. Please, do not let the lack of breakfast stop you. This is a wonderful place to stay! And there is an amazing bakery/coffee bar a block away ;)

There was no breakfast offered there although advertised as Bed &breakfast - Expedia you are breaking the rules as stating B&B when there is none. That said there was a kitchen with a microwave you can use so I just bought stuff from the shop a few doors down - and a kettle with teas coffee in my room. Owners are lovely - only around in the morning to clean. Great location - 10 minute walk from station - follow the map they send you rather than google map it. All other main attraction 5-10 minute walk. There was a noisy bar outside my room and noise went on till around 2am - they do provide earplugs in the room. An excellent place - I marked it down as clearly state’s breakfast when there was none and the noise from the bar - I would however definitely stay there again

Our stay was amazing! We felt well taken care of and the property was very flexible with our check in time. The location is very central allowing us to easily walk everywhere in Florence. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and exactly what we needed for our 3 night stay. Breakfast was good too!

The owner of the B&B was extremely helpful with directions. Breakfast was a buffet of delicious treats. The hotel was centrally located near all museums and walkable to the train station or the bus stop to the train station. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Overall a very good place…walking distance to the Duomo, Mercato Sant’Ambrogio, Santa Croce, the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia, among other attractions/landmarks. Also surrounded by a TON of good places to eat at, as well as some self-service laundromats if you ever need it. And a short walk to a couple of bus stops too, if you ever need a bus to get around. Rooms are well-maintained, really clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was nice and filling. Most of all, really friendly owners. My only concern — and, honestly, just a small one at that — is that I could not get the safe to work even with the instructions provided, merely because the buttons on the actual safe in my room weren’t the same as in the instructions. But…again, just a small concern that doesn’t take away from my satisfaction with the B&B. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Florence.
