This stay was incredible. The shuttle from the train was so easy and convenient and our driver was SO friendly. The rooms were amazing for families with kids. We had a view of the Matterhorn from our deck. The pool was amazing and as it’s indoor we could use it no matter what. Our first night we ate downstairs in the pub and our server was incredible. If I ever make it back to Zermatt, there’s no where else I’d rather stay.

This is such a fun stay in Zermatt. The hotel has such an awesome aesthetic with great restaurants on site. The pool/spa area is absolutely amazing. We visited during off season and had the outdoor hot tub to ourselves. It was blissful after a day of travel. The rooms were super comfortable and the food at the restaurant was satisfying. Very cool vibe overall and it would be a pleasure to stay here again!

Charming hotel with 2 restaurants on site, gorgeous pool, afternoon tea and chess. Room was very spacious and perfect for our family. Town is walkable from hotel. Delicious breakfast buffet included. Really lovely stay.

J’ai passé un séjour incroyable à l’Alpen Resort Hotel Zermatt. Dès mon arrivée, j’ai été accueilli avec une grande chaleur et un professionnalisme exemplaire. L’établissement est impeccable, d’une propreté remarquable, et le coin piscine/spa offre un cadre idéal pour se relaxer. J’ai également eu le plaisir de dîner dans l’un des restaurants de l’hôtel, où la qualité de la cuisine et le service attentionné ont su me conquérir. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel pour son ambiance familiale et ses prestations de haute qualité. J’ai d’ores et déjà réservé pour mes prochaines vacances de ski, et j’espère revenir également cet été. 5 étoiles bien méritées !

What can I say? After two weeks in Switzerland and Italy, Alpen Resort was our FAVORITE of the 7 places we stayed! The room was comfortable and clean (the only thing that would make this room better would be a fan)! The Matterhorn was out, weather was perfect, included breakfast buffet was great and the pool/hot tub was fantastic! Great job!

Alpen resort was by far the best hotel I’ve been to. The room, pool & spa were all very clean and well-maintained. The spa here was the highlight of my Zermatt trip. The shuttle service is very convenient, and if you don’t have too much luggage, you can walk to/from the station! I’d HIGHLY recommend this place to all my friends and family and I’ll definitely stay here if I visit Zermatt again!

This hotel was a highlight of our Switzerland trip. We've got upgraded to a panoramic room and watching the sunrise hit Matterhorn in the morning never gets old. Large room, spa, breakfasts, ice cream at 3 o'clock - everything was top notch. The only thing I wanted was for it to be closer to the other side of town. It's hard to drag your feet across the whole town after an all day hike in the mountains.

Wonderful place. Family room for 5 was comfortable, quiet, and had great balcony with a beautiful view of town and mountains. Breakfast, pool, and hot tub are all great. Grounds are nicely landscaped and location is convenient. Added convenience of bars and restaurants on site.

We loved the top roof room. The staffs prepared the room perfectly for my baby too. One thing we suffered was the stairs. There was no access to our room by elevator but only narrow stairs. Therefore we always had to take our baby out from the stroller even if the baby is sleeping. Going to a restaurant in the night after she fell asleep was also difficult.

the spa is amazing and very nice breakfast. Overall , it's a very nice hotel to stay. but the service was a bit chaotic for us. we waited at the taxi station for more than 20 mins, no one came to pick us up, despite we called several times. we walked to the hotel with our luggages, the reception staff just explained that they were busy. I know you might be busy, but you could explain to me on the phone, or offer something alternative.

We stayed here on Christmas eve, check in with Anna was amazing, so freindly, polite, helpful and knowledgeable. She was a pleasure to deal with and is a credit to the hotel. Made our Christmas stay extra special. Beautiful room with a view. Breakfast was really good,so much variety. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The room was good, but it was a 10min walk for doing anything like food, shopping or train station. I faced one off scenario like my kid started throwing up and Diarrhea in the middle of the night and tried to reach out to front desk came to know there is no onsite service in the night until 7 or 8AM. Even medical kit, bathroom tissues anything you need incase of emergency you need to wait till morning 8AM. This is not okay for me.

This hotel was a highlight of our Switzerland trip. We've got upgraded to a panoramic room and watching the sunrise hit Matterhorn in the morning never gets old. Large room, spa, breakfasts, ice cream at 3 o'clock - everything was top notch. The only thing I wanted was for it to be closer to the other side of town. It's hard to drag your feet across the whole town after an all day hike in the mountains.

Property is at the north end of Zermatt but still within walking distance (5mins) of the railway station. A shuttle bus is available on request though. Nice comfortable rooms over 2 or 3 sites packed close together in traditional Swiss chalet design. Road through to the main Zermatt centre runs alongside property and it's an easy few minutes walk to many shops and train stations to the Gornergrat and Klein Matterhorn as well as some lovely walks just around the surrounding valley.

Just a 5 minute walk to the train station although they also have a small shuttle to pick you up or drop you off (which helps if you have much luggage). There is a grocery store just 2 minute walk as well and it’s about 10 minutes to old town area. The shuttle train to the viewpoint for the Matterhorn is just across the street from the train station. Accommodations, food, and staff were terrific.

This is my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Compared to other places in Zermatt, this one was very affordable given the great quality and amenities. Five minute walk from the train station, great dining options right inside the hotel, and very friendly/helpful staff. Room was so clean and modern, loved the rainfall shower.

Charming hotel with 2 restaurants on site, gorgeous pool, afternoon tea and chess. Room was very spacious and perfect for our family. Town is walkable from hotel. Delicious breakfast buffet included. Really lovely stay.

We stayed here on Christmas eve, check in with Anna was amazing, so freindly, polite, helpful and knowledgeable. She was a pleasure to deal with and is a credit to the hotel. Made our Christmas stay extra special. Beautiful room with a view. Breakfast was really good,so much variety. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Wonderful place. Family room for 5 was comfortable, quiet, and had great balcony with a beautiful view of town and mountains. Breakfast, pool, and hot tub are all great. Grounds are nicely landscaped and location is convenient. Added convenience of bars and restaurants on site.

J’ai passé un séjour incroyable à l’Alpen Resort Hotel Zermatt. Dès mon arrivée, j’ai été accueilli avec une grande chaleur et un professionnalisme exemplaire. L’établissement est impeccable, d’une propreté remarquable, et le coin piscine/spa offre un cadre idéal pour se relaxer. J’ai également eu le plaisir de dîner dans l’un des restaurants de l’hôtel, où la qualité de la cuisine et le service attentionné ont su me conquérir. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel pour son ambiance familiale et ses prestations de haute qualité. J’ai d’ores et déjà réservé pour mes prochaines vacances de ski, et j’espère revenir également cet été. 5 étoiles bien méritées !

Had a wonderful stay as a solo traveler. Got a free upgrade to a double room with a view of the Matterhorn which was so special. Spacious and comfortable room. Spa access after a long hike the day prior was very needed. Staff were all very nice and responsive - I communicated my arrival time through WhatsApp and had to change my time. They got back to me with a confirmation and a porter was waiting at the train station for me. Staff member came to my room to show me how to turn on the hair dryer. Breakfast buffet had many choices. Will stay longer next time. Thank you for making my first trip to Zermatt so memorable. Will be back with friends and family.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Our room was beautiful with our balcony looking out towards the Matterhorn. The staff were so friendly and helpful couldn’t do enough for us. The pool area was really nice and the pool temperature was lovely. Would definitely come back to this hotel.
