Safe parking The last hotel on the strip so more secluded and less busy Right on the beach You can ask the restaurant onsite for free water bottle refills Room was decent - dated furniture and sheets but does the trick for one night Bathroom needed a serious deep clean and upgrade Tv has English channels - you just need to know what button to press on the remote as there's Spanish/English versions for each channel They give out beach towels The hotel restaurant is very good but closes at 6pm Tip- when driving into Manuel Antonio and the security people stop you to ask to pay just say you stay at the hotel and you don't have to pay them

This is a no frills place but yet has everything you need. Clean, quiet, tours that can be booked. Across the street from the beach, lots of restaurants close by. Right beside a path that takes you to the park. The bus stops right outside. Needed a blow dryer which the front desk had. Convenient parking. No pool but we purchased a day pass at a close by hotel.

Excellent location! Easy, convenient and free parking. Restaurant is adjacent with excellent breakfast. Very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy access to National park and to free beach perfect for body surfing. Highly recommend and we hope to return!

Spectacular location. The hotel is at the end of the road across from the beach parking is at a premium in the area and free with stay. Lots of great food in the area with special note for Magic Bus, Marlin and Baldi restaurants.

Overall is good. Very close to the beach and Manuel Antonio park. Nice landscaping. Good quality rooms. No swimming pool on the property and no breakfast included. We had to move the beds around the room because the air conditioner was blowing cold air right at us and we were afraid to get sick.

This hotel is in a great location. We loved being able to walk right out to the beach and eat dinner at night overlooking the ocean from the hotel’s restaurant. The food at the restaurant was really good. We probably would’ve eaten there even if we weren’t staying at the hotel.

The pictures shown do not match with the actual room. Everything is old, worn out and outdated. it really requires A LOT of repair and renovation for it to look better. The hotel needs to be torn down and rebuilt. The garden outside looks very impressive but not the inside. The worst thing is we saw a big cockroach running in the room. We managed to kill it. when there is one cockroach in the room, it implies there can be more.

If you are looking for location and close to the beach this is perfect but The room I was in was a little dated, the bed and pillows were horrible. The glass block in The shower were cracked and dirty maybe even some mold. The room did not have a refrigerator, the safe you could open with a butter knife. The $87 I spent a night i feel you can get a better place. Would not recommend.

Don’t do it. Dirty and smelly. So bad they make you sign a “no prostitution” agreement. Rooms are actually dirty with filth and smell. Worse than any motel I’ve ever stayed in and not even cheap! Walls are dirty, furniture is dirty. The staff are nice and apologetic but that’s it.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is pretty basic and not very modern, but it is always clean and outside areas are very well kept. Beds are comfortable and the location is excellent.

This property is an amazing option for staying in MA. The location in relation to the beach, national park, taxi access, and local shops is better than any other of the hotels around Espadilla beach. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the staff's hospitality. The room cleaning service was more meticulous than literally any hotel I have stayed at (regardless of star rating). The room was spotless and fully cleaned every single day. The front staff was also great at accommodating quality excursions around the area. When our boat trip canceled last minute, they found us a better boat trip option for the same day at a better price, all in under 15 minutes. Highly recommend Hotel Manuel Antonio.

Las habitaciones huelen a humedad, el olor no me dejo dormir, tuve que acabarme medio perfume para quitar ese olor tan desagradable, las instaciones de las habitaciones viejas, el techo con manchas, el ventilador oxidado, la regadera se inundaba. Para ser tan exigentes en sus reglas tendrian primero que mejorar las instalaciones. Recuerden que la atencion al cliente es lo que da buenas recomendaciones, por el precio tan excesivo podrian quedarse en otros lugares mas economicos y con alberca. Ojala mejoren saludos.

The location was perfect since we were going to the park and we walked there. Our room however, said ocean view and all we saw was buses parked in front all day. The room smelled stuffy like urine maybe the drainage.

Property is older and while clean still felt like it had a layer that needed to be washed off. It’s in a great location if you’re going for the beach. No fridge or microwave which was a bummer since I have meds that need to be refrigerated. Staff was friendly. All in all they delivered exactly what was promised and nothing more.

At shoulder season prices this place offered a great value considering its ideal location. You're across the street from a beautiful beach and a 10-minute walk to the Manuel Antonio National Park. The office staff was helpful and the servers in the open-air restaurant were friendly. The rooms are in need of an update, but they're clean and the grounds are well maintained. I enjoyed my stay.

The location is great. You can’t stay any closer to the Parqeo Manuel Antonio. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are well maintained. But the hotel is dated and showing its age, particularly in the rooms which are pretty basic. A bit of mold in the bathroom. Then again, it is rated as two-star.

To get to the hotel you have to run a gauntlet of the unofficial parking maifa controlling the road and stopping you 5-6 times with a whistles to try and force you to park your car in their parking space for $10! Extremely confronting any annoying if you are driving in and out a few times a day. If you get past all of them, the hotel has free parking. When you get there, the first thing you will notice is there is no refrigerator in any of the rooms to keep anything cold. There is also no kettle in the room to make a tea or coffee. These are simple things that make a big difference when staying in a hotel. Drinking water is not provided and the only tap in is the bathroom sink which makes it impossible to fill a water bottle, only a glass. The hot water also wasn’t working for the shower. Across the road from the hotel on the beach there were uncontrolled parties with loud music which made it hard to sleep. Lastly, a friend was joining me to stay halfway through my stay and because he arrived after 10pm he was not allowed to check in. even though the manager came back to the hotel, we were told that their check in policy was Strick and he couldn’t check in. they actually turned him away and had to find another hotel. This was completely unflexible and really awful experience. Aside from that experience, the staff during the day were polite and friendly, but its not worth what you pay.

My wife and I started and ended our honeymoon here Our first stay was in room #3. Very comfortable bed and nice room. Our second stay was in room #11. Very UNcomfortable bed, but still a nice room. If we go to Costa Rica again, we would not hesitate to stay here again, with the hope of having a comfortable bed!

I would not recommend staying here. The front office was rude, very limited dining options within walking distance, beds were uncomfortable, and the overall quality of the hotel is poor. Additionally, there are dozens of vendors and people trying to get tourists to buy things and to pay to park - and they start early and stay late. The beach is nice and walking to Manuel Antonio is convenient but overall I would skip both the park and the hotel. I was very disappointed and deliberately left the area, driving an hour plus to the Uvita area to experience something better.

Son muy estrictos sobre el check in y el check out. Los controles de la TV casi no tienen alcance. La estancia es hermosa las habitaciones limpias ordenadas, bonitas con mucha atención q los detalles, el restaurant estaba reservado y no me permitieron comer ahi

This property is an amazing option for staying in MA. The location in relation to the beach, national park, taxi access, and local shops is better than any other of the hotels around Espadilla beach. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the staff's hospitality. The room cleaning service was more meticulous than literally any hotel I have stayed at (regardless of star rating). The room was spotless and fully cleaned every single day. The front staff was also great at accommodating quality excursions around the area. When our boat trip canceled last minute, they found us a better boat trip option for the same day at a better price, all in under 15 minutes. Highly recommend Hotel Manuel Antonio.

To get to the hotel you have to run a gauntlet of the unofficial parking maifa controlling the road and stopping you 5-6 times with a whistles to try and force you to park your car in their parking space for $10! Extremely confronting any annoying if you are driving in and out a few times a day. If you get past all of them, the hotel has free parking. When you get there, the first thing you will notice is there is no refrigerator in any of the rooms to keep anything cold. There is also no kettle in the room to make a tea or coffee. These are simple things that make a big difference when staying in a hotel. Drinking water is not provided and the only tap in is the bathroom sink which makes it impossible to fill a water bottle, only a glass. The hot water also wasn’t working for the shower. Across the road from the hotel on the beach there were uncontrolled parties with loud music which made it hard to sleep. Lastly, a friend was joining me to stay halfway through my stay and because he arrived after 10pm he was not allowed to check in. even though the manager came back to the hotel, we were told that their check in policy was Strick and he couldn’t check in. they actually turned him away and had to find another hotel. This was completely unflexible and really awful experience. Aside from that experience, the staff during the day were polite and friendly, but its not worth what you pay.

Very convenient location, just across the road from the beach, and only a 5min walk to the National Park entrance. Slightly noisy during the day because of the vendors that set up outside the hotel, but they at least play soothing music in the mornings!

At shoulder season prices this place offered a great value considering its ideal location. You're across the street from a beautiful beach and a 10-minute walk to the Manuel Antonio National Park. The office staff was helpful and the servers in the open-air restaurant were friendly. The rooms are in need of an update, but they're clean and the grounds are well maintained. I enjoyed my stay.

Chose here because it is close to beach and Entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. Good hotel if you surf. Next time I'd opt to stay on the hill where most other hotels and restaurants are, with great ocean views. The restaurant on site was under contraction so we couldn't eat there most days, which was a bother. Baldi Fresh down the street had good food!

Next time I'd opt to stay on the hill where most other hotels and restaurants are, with great ocean views. Excellent location! Easy, convenient and free parking. Restaurant is adjacent with excellent breakfast. Very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy access to National park and to free beach perfect for body surfing. Highly recommend and we hope to return!

This hotel is in a great location. We loved being able to walk right out to the beach and eat dinner at night overlooking the ocean from the hotel’s restaurant. The food at the restaurant was really good. We probably would’ve eaten there even if we weren’t staying at the hotel.

Perfect place to stay while in Manuel Antonio. Right across from the beach, so you can just walk across with your car safely parked, and also less than a 5 minute walk to the National Park, which is super convenient too. The restaurant next door offers good food, but breakfast is not included, and they do not provide toiletries like the other hotels, that was one down side.

Excellent location, very close to entrance to national park, and across from the beach (sea view room is definitely worth it). Good a/c and decent shower, but the property is a bit tired (especially bathroom could use an overhaul). Does not come with breakfast and the restaurant connected to the hotel is closed on Tuesdays. However, there is a supermarket and several restaurants within walking distance AND bus to Quepos comes by every 10-15 minutes.

We were really looking forward to enjoying our stay near the beach, but unfortunately, the condition of our room and the hotel’s response made this a very disappointing experience. As soon as we entered the room, we noticed an overpowering smell of urine. At first, we thought it was coming only from the bathroom, but the odor was present throughout the entire room. We immediately notified the front desk, and an employee personally came into the room to inspect it. He confirmed that the entire room did, in fact, smell like urine. Despite confirming the condition himself, he told us it was too late in the evening to move us. He promised that we would be accommodated the following day, but no one ever followed up or offered any assistance. Moving the next day would have already been extremely inconvenient because we had an early departure and activities planned back to back. In the end, we were left with no option but to return each night and sleep in a room that the hotel’s own employee had confirmed smelled strongly of urine. We had also requested a rollaway bed and were told one would be provided, but it never arrived. Once again, there was no communication or follow-up from the staff. When I raised these concerns at checkout, the young woman at the front desk responded with a dismissive and unpleasant attitude. Estacionamiento muy bien . Ubicación excelente , por desgracia como está separado el hotel de la playa por una calle haciendo malecón hay mucho ruido en la madrugada , personas nativas del lugar se van en sus vehículos a hacer fiesta frente al Hotel y no dejan dormir. Ahí todo muy bien el Hotel es un poquito viejo necesita una renovación y a lo mejor un ser Viva y otras cosillas que podrían mejorar está limpio pero definitivamente necesita un poco de cuidado la construcción, hemos disfrutado mucho es un hermoso lugar y por todos lados hay restaurantes con comida deliciosa, el personal muy agradable y servicial
