Rooftop pool is closed all day until 4:00PM! Crazy! So when the sun is out, you can’t get se the pool. The staff at the rooftop restaurant are unattentive and very very slow! Ground floor restaurant which is open for breakfast is excellent and has attentive friendly staff. Hotel is clean and in excellent condition, all other staff are helpful and considerate. It’s the nicest hotel in Subic , but it has its issues , the wifi was terribly slow and unreliable I couldn’t even stream a song without it buffering . , the hotel pools are amazing but the beach is so gross garbage everywhere and sewage being dumped into it from nearby stream , some advice to the hotel if you want to invest in your future , hire someone to clean up the garbage on the beach , I know it’s not your fault but it DOES affect your guest experience and willing to return . How much does it really cost to pay someone the Low minimum wage to spend the day cleaning up the mess on the beach right next to you. Anyways I still think it’s the best hotel here which isn’t saying much because the other hotels I’m Subic leave a lot to be desired also . It gets 4 stars almost entirely because of the pools which are once in a lifetime experience

Food was very good - nice flavors and well prepared - lovely view of ocean - but confusing elevator system of call buttons - also no air conditioning or fan in elevator during sunny days made for very uncomfortable elevator rides - but overall very good and we would return - thank you !

This resort is adjacent to the beach and it appears that all room have a view of the ocean and a small balcony, but I am not absolutely sure of this. My room had a modern and attractive design, although it is showing signs of wear and tear and could use some touch up work to repair minor damage to surfaces and paint. The room had a noisy AC unit and when I asked the front desk to address this, they sent a maintenance man promptly who said the noise could not be reduced. Thereupon, the front desk staff offered me another room that was much better. The hotel has two places for dining with each having a swimming pool, which was nice. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, this was a very nice place to stay.

There is a rooftop-pool (open 4pm - midnight) and a pool in the ground floor (open till 4pm). In the ground floor pool, serious swimming is not really easy, because it's usually very cold and there are a lot of obstacles in the water. The rooftop-infinity-pool is very beautiful. Serious swimming there is easier, but it is small and only open from 4 pm. The restaurants have delicious food. They are a little more expensive than the restaurants outside the hotel. When checking in, each room gets 2 bath towel and 2 pool towels. Additional towels cost 100 pesos each. Changing a pool towel also costs 100 pesos. The restaurant on the rooftop has very nice view. The room was very nice. The personnel was friendly and helpful. There's lots of bars, restaurants, cafes and also a Seven Eleven (8 mins walk) nearby the hotel.

We stayed here last night and would like to share some feedback. Unfortunately, we noticed a cockroach in our room (with photo) and there were also quite a few mosquitoes during our stay. We understand that these things can happen, but since this seems to be a common concern mentioned in other reviews, we hope management can look into it and make improvements. Guests would truly appreciate having an insect-free room for a more comfortable stay.

We tried two different rooms and each one had major issues. The first one was worn with wallpaper coming off in spots, tv never worked well, there was no hot tub on property. The next night I upgraded to a Jacuzzi room and the tub didn't work, there was a layer of dust on the furniture, a couple of cobwebs on the walls.

The hotel is in the high-end price range in the area. As such the standards should also be higher. The hotel appear nice but with some strange choices through out. First the good: 1. Beautiful view, beautiful location 2. Very good service from the service minded staff. 3. Very high privacy and discretion 4. Very secure feel without being extreme. 5. Good internet connection These points could be improved: 1. There is only 2 (or 3) towels in each room. No handtowel, no washing cloth. 2. The top-level rooms (5th floor) is very noicy from the live band in 6th floor 3. They have gorgeous pools available on ground floor and top floor. They are however not available at the same time (ground during day, top during night) which is a shame. The available deckchairs in the pools is very limited (3-4 chairs) and it is very hard to find available seats. 4. The top-floor restaurant is non-par with rest of the standard of the hotel. The food is ok but not very good. This is a shame because this has the best view in all Subic Bay and could have potential to be a very popular place. It is acknowledge among locals that the restaurant is non-par with rest of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel, though it is in the pricy end. It does however have so much potential to relatively easy be much better and attractive.

An exceptional Hotel for the area it's located in. Beautiful pools, friendly staff. Wasn't happy that my balcony door wouldn't lock and air conditioner worked good enough. TV was good an excellent selection of channels. Very clean room, large bedroom and washroom. Beach area is nothing special, the hotel is worth spending your day relaxing.

The room was big, spacious & clean & check-in was smooth. The bed was comfortable but the air conditioning unit was noisy. The bathroom was clean, big & inviting. The breakfast offering could have been better if the coffee was refillable for a second cup. The food & drinks on level 6 in the evening was excellent. Even the food I ordered from room service was plentiful & delicious. However, the most basic of things were not complimentary & I found that strange & annoying. I asked for an extra pillow & I was told that it was chargeable per pillow per day. The ironing board was chargeable and the iron was not included. The local food that was ordered comes with rice to compliment the fish but here you had to pay for the rice. One gets the impression that this otherwise nice hotel is trying to fleece customers for many amenities that hotels of a similar category would be complimentary.

Very spacious room and bathroom. It had an ocean view comfortable bed and a modern style desk. It has no microwave but does have a safe as well as a pre-stocked room fridge. It was nice that there was a price list for items in the fridge as well as in the bathroom. Avery nice rooftop, open air restaurant.

Nice property. Problem is that in some rooms the aircon isnt working properly. But the staff are willing to transfer me to another room so that I could be comfortable. Rooms are clean and very nice. only other problem is that the internet is poor in certain spots.

Upon check-in, we had to have our room changed, because both the refrigerator and the air conditioner were leaking all over the floor. The safe in the room didn’t function and we were missing items from the snack and drink area that we were unaware we were missing, so we were charged for them upon check out, even though we were unaware of the amount that was supposed to be there in the first place. The air conditioner, hardly worked in any of the three rooms that we were in, and being in a room that was facing the Main Street, the sliding doors were nowhere near soundproof so all sounds all hours of the night kept us awake all night. The TV into the three rooms we were in did not work well, or hardly had any reception. There was no HD TV at all.

The staff and management group were both exceptional. I had an issue that was brought to the attention of management who went above and beyond expectations. We actually had a typhoon during the stay and everyone ensured we were kept informed and safe.

I was excited to stay at this place as I’ve seen the pictures online. The rooftop pool was nice and I enjoyed the view from there. However, I was disappointed after my stay. I saw cockroaches roaming in the hallway. But the main issue that I had was the customer service. I had booked a king room but due to my grandpa passing away, I had my cousin join me and so I requested to switch to a deluxe twin room. The front desk quoted me the new rate but failed to let me know that it was additional to what I already paid. why would I accept to be double charged for the room???? Made no sense. I will never stay here again due to that experience.

The hotel is in a great location (if you like Barrio Barretto), right on the beach. It is one of the grander hotels in the entire area, with some unique features. This hotel could be great, but the staff ruined it for me. I had lots of problems and the staff always seemed apathetic. They never followed up to see if the problem was fixed or showed any sympathy and didn't communicate well. E.g., the wifi didn't work for many hours; I had to call many times and threaten to check out to get anything done. One day they forgot to clean my room and when I asked for housekeeping at 4:45 and they said they couldn't because it stops at 5 PM. The next time I tried to be proactive by calling at 2 PM to ask to clean my room. They said "sure" but nobody ever showed up. I called back two hours later but nobody answered the phone. I gave up. It really shouldn't be this hard. And so on. Other problems... If I ever left any food in the room, it would be swarming with ants a few hours later, even if the bag was tied. The room was missing a lot of amenities you'd expect at this price...they didn't have Kleenex, bathrobe, hand towel, or tea bags. Oh, and they wanted 50 pesos for some ice (unlike almost every other hotel I've been to). To be honest, I was happy to leave.

Check in was super easy. My flight arrived at 6am and I arrived at the property at about 11. Check in wasn't until 3pm but they had a room ready and was able to accommodate me as I was tired. The front desk staff were super friendly and handled my every need. Bell service was available to handle my bags that was great. I got one of the less expensive rooms but it was still large with a king bed and a partial view of Subic Bay. I was happy. The only thing missing was a microwave. I had left overs from the restaurants and couldn't heat them. There is a fridge with a stocked mini bar with things for purchase. There were chips, several types of beer, coke, sprite, milk and a couple types of juice. I ate several times at the two restaurants. They have large menus and the food was very good. Service was fine and about what you'd expect. Overall the value was pretty good and I'd stay again.

The staff are very rude especially the front desk staff Aila which has the worst customer service Ive ever received in my life. She was very unprofessional, unaccomodating…she lacks basic skills to politely deal with customers. It’s the nicest hotel in Subic , but it has its issues , the wifi was terribly slow and unreliable I couldn’t even stream a song without it buffering . , the hotel pools are amazing but the beach is so gross garbage everywhere and sewage being dumped into it from nearby stream , some advice to the hotel if you want to invest in your future , hire someone to clean up the garbage on the beach , I know it’s not your fault but it DOES affect your guest experience and willing to return . How much does it really cost to pay someone the Low minimum wage to spend the day cleaning up the mess on the beach right next to you. Anyways I still think it’s the best hotel here which isn’t saying much because the other hotels I’m Subic leave a lot to be desired also . It gets 4 stars almost entirely because of the pools which are once in a lifetime experience

There is a rooftop-pool (open 4pm - midnight) and a pool in the ground floor (open till 4pm). In the ground floor pool, serious swimming is not really easy, because it's usually very cold and there are a lot of obstacles in the water. The rooftop-infinity-pool is very beautiful. Serious swimming there is easier, but it is small and only open from 4 pm. The restaurants have delicious food. They are a little more expensive than the restaurants outside the hotel. When checking in, each room gets 2 bath towel and 2 pool towels. Additional towels cost 100 pesos each. Changing a pool towel also costs 100 pesos. The restaurant on the rooftop has very nice view. The room was very nice. The personnel was friendly and helpful. There's lots of bars, restaurants, cafes and also a Seven Eleven (8 mins walk) nearby the hotel.

The property is the best resort hotel you will find in subic. Clean and comfortable rooms and very helpful and friendly staff. I have no complaints about the property, bur the beach itself isnt something to marcel at. The surrounding area is dirty, full of trash and there's a canal that runs from one of the public areas and empties into the beach itself, making you wonder whether the beach is even safe to swim in. There's annoying vendors everywhere that wont take no for an answer and the local folks don't seem to care about the trash and the environment they live in. Its a pity the local government doesn't give a damn about it but that's expected from Philippine politicians who are well known for corruption and theft of public funds

Property is probably the best one in the area. The facility itself can probably use an updating with cleaning up the place a little better. You can tell it's getting old and not very shiny in some places like the restroom. Was really disappointed with the food. Ordered a soup and they gave it to us luke warm. Everyone knows you don't serve soup like that but what really upset me was watching the staff eat their soup for lunch which i saw there soup steaming hot. Hot soup for them and cold soup for the guests. Not cool.

Rooftop pool is closed all day until 4:00PM! Crazy! So when the sun is out, you can’t get se the pool. The staff at the rooftop restaurant are unattentive and very very slow! The room was big, spacious & clean & check-in was smooth. The bed was comfortable but the air conditioning unit was noisy. The bathroom was clean, big & inviting. The breakfast offering could have been better if the coffee was refillable for a second cup. The food & drinks on level 6 in the evening was excellent. Even the food I ordered from room service was plentiful & delicious. However, the most basic of things were not complimentary & I found that strange & annoying. I asked for an extra pillow & I was told that it was chargeable per pillow per day. The ironing board was chargeable and the iron was not included. The local food that was ordered comes with rice to compliment the fish but here you had to pay for the rice. One gets the impression that this otherwise nice hotel is trying to fleece customers for many amenities that hotels of a similar category would be complimentary.

It\'s nice but. We stayed in the Jacuzzi Suite, which was the second highest suite option. It was nice, the jacuzzi was very nice, the shower had a rain shower head, the sink counter was marble. It had a mini bar, a king size bed, and a 60" TV. That said, it has definitely seen better days. The imitation wood floor was warped and corroded in areas around the edge. The areas that aren\'t so visible were worn, the bed was a bit too firm for our taste, and the walls outside on the balcony were cracked and faded. Unfortunately the upstairs restaurant was terrible, the service was pretty good. But, that was the end of the positive. The good was lackluster, the potatoes looked cracked and the whole dish was microwaved. We ate most of it, but we did not want to go back. The "milkshake" was weird and more like a slushy instead of a shake, it was just weird. The worst part, though, was they would only accept cash. Seriously?!?!? A RESORT only accepts cash??? Best hotel in Barretto, standard is like any average european hotel. Rooms are nice and comfy. Nice rof top pool and resto. My first choice in Barretto unless I am on a budget, then there are other options for half the price but the standard goes down.
