Really nice, quirky hotel. Polar bear theme is really cool. Room design is fun and very spacious room. Comfortable.

Good restaurants, especially breakfast and the Biergarten. Good for walks and cycling and touring with car. Berncastel Kues 5mins, bit of a disappointment except fabulous Zylinderhaus museum. Air conditioning a bit poor, but not a problem as it was a cool week in July!

Greeting upon arrival was simply "rude" as was the service provided at that time. After another like experience with another rude staff member in hotel dining area on first night we left and ate at other locations for the remainder of our stay. But the breakfast staff, room attendees and checkout staff were excellent. Breakfast was superb as was room
