The weather wasn’t great the entire week, so we didn’t get the true experience of a tropical vacation- no fault of the resort. The beach was gorgeous with a close by bar and plenty of seating. The pool was nice, but beach chairs were snapped up early and the staff didn’t really help out with this. Drinks and food were readily available. The entertainment area is being upgraded - not fully open-and wasn’t the best for our group. We enjoyed the bands in the Rendezvous lounge though. Food was not of the quality of the Secrets Akumal location we went to last year. Tried to go to Dreams- sister location- but found the restaurant staff very unfriendly and the Gaucho restaurant inaccessible- it was closed even when the app said it was open and the day it was open the wait was 90 minutes. The spa was lovely. The fitness center adequate. I really hope they can organize the tennis/pickleball with a pro and sign ups for lessons or play. A great tennis center within walking distance is the Rafa Nadal Center. Another guest told me about that. All in all- I wouldn’t recommend a stay until the renovation is complete- 4/25 to12/25. Hard to judge or criticize because they are working to improve the property- but we were a bit disappointed for this vacation. Hopefully they will work to improve the sports complex, food and activities.

The resort was huge. I loved my beachfront room w its own infinity pool. The preferred beach beds were lovely. The preferred club was worth it. Oceana for breakfast was awesome. A little noisier than I typically like, but it was ok. Restaurants good but need more vegetarian options. Don’t go on the trip to Isla Mujeres as it was very crowded and tacky.
The resort was huge. I loved my beachfront room w its own infinity pool. The preferred beach beds were lovely. The preferred club was worth it. Oceana for breakfast was awesome. A little noisier than I typically like, but it was ok. Restaurants good but need more vegetarian options. Don’t go on the trip to Isla Mujeres as it was very crowded and tacky.

First time to this property. Pros - normal portion size for food and drinks. They were amazing! Service impeccable. Anything we needed (toothbrush, more towels) was delivered within 15 minutes or sooner. No reservations required for dinner. Plenty of Chairs/umbrellas on the beach with drink service. Beach was super clean and beautiful, not busy at all. Cons - small swim up pool - no ocean view. Palapas are available to rent (100 to 200 per day) on the beach but they are in the dunes with no view. No chairs available in the pool area. People take them by 7-730am ish. Must ride a golf cart to lobby, gym, and some restaurants. There are a few restaurants within walking distance to the rooms so we went there most of the time. No point in doing your hair if you take the golf carts. Lol. Lines can be long to wait for a ride.

Place is nice. Would have liked to know that their closing soon which made it understaffed. Some areas such as night club and other entertainment were not available. Golf carts moving people around facility were very inconvenient time wise moving from area to area. One night we had to wait about 30 min to be picked up.

The staff at the pools were great however, the staff at the restaurants were awful. Every dinner was over 3 hrs long and the food was mediocre. The pools was very cold. If you want a slightly warmer pool you have to head to Dreams. The hot tubs were warm but not hot. If you want a chair by the pool you have to get up by 8am to reserve them. The night time entertainment was fun.

This property is very overrated and advertised wrong! Half the restaurants were not open and would rotate days being open. Coffee shop advertised being open 24 hours, was not. There was no sports bar, was "coming soon". The room was not very nice and foliage outside by patio with mosquitoes so could not use. The drinks at the pool were very diluted down... could do many shots and not even feel any alcohol. We were very disappointed with this property and vacation.

Resort is beautiful except where we had our breakfast buffet the ceilings have tons of water damage and holes this should get fixed to nice of a resort to leave this unattended. We were treaded bad by the day bartenders especially at swim up bar. They are racist I speak fluent Spanish and had to act as if I did not speak Spanish to get treated better. They expect tips first before the good service that’s not right I had to buy my self the servís this is not correct.

Food and rooms were just average. Our room had a very musky/moldy smell that didn’t dissipate even when doors were left open. Pool area was fantastic. Everyone was very kind and service was great.

Overall resort was ok first room we were put in had dirty panties behind nightstand, nowhere to plug phones in near bed so pulled out night stand to find dirty panties. 2nd room we moved to ac stopped working and flooded the entry hallway no big deal stuff happens however the staff made it sound as if it was our fault saying this room was inspected very well are we sure the bathroom was not flooding as we see it leaking from ac vent. After that the stay was ok poolside service seemed to lack service as if they were understaffed, to me it seems they are taking the money in and not putting any back into the resort because remodeling is coming soon. I will give the resort another shot after remodeling as there were things we enjoyed but would not stay until updates were made.

My friends and I spent a few days at Secrets Playa Mujeres, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was extremely pleasant. Juan from the Barefoot Grill was awesome. He always made sure to say hello and chat when he saw me. The food was terrific, the highlight of the dining establishments was the Bordeaux restaurant (Mario is quite the character). The pool and beach areas were well maintained. The rooms were a bit dated, apparently they will be renovating the resort soon, which is a good idea. The doors to the back patio were tough to open, and there was some funky odors in certain areas, not a huge issue, but still something to note. Overall, I would rate this a 4.5 out of 5, but as a half star is not an option, I marked it down as a 4

Very disappointed that we went out to the pool area at 9 am. Came back around 3:30pm room wasn’t made up. Cleaning lady came around 4:30pm. Asked her to come back at 6pm. We left for the evening at around 5:30 came back around 10:00pm expecting our room to be made up. Needless to say she never cleaned our room also disappointed that the Brazilian restaurant was closed

I had an amazing stay at Secrets Playa Mujeres in Cancun. The food was delicious, the staff provided excellent service, and the daily activities were fun and well-organized. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend this resort for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Rooms were clean little old Our group waa roomed in same area/ floor and all had problems with the rooms. 2 rooms noisy due to pumping room right underneath 1 room same floor but at the entrance of the building very noisy due to people coming and going while talking the doors are not well sealed Last room basement room had mold smell staff rectify by spraying air freshener ??? The resort we stayed at was disappointing considering the high price we paid. The beds were extremely hard and the rooms were outdated. Despite the exceptional amount of money we paid, the only positive aspect was the excellent client service.

The restaurants were not five star, not that great. There were places on the website that were open but when we got there they had been closed. We were without AC for over 24hrs and when we asked to get some kind of comp they said they couldn't because we went through Expedia not Hyatt, even though we are members of Hyatt they wouldn't give us anything.

Enjoy the space and the relaxation! Only cons for us was there are definitely due for a rehab and will be going down in August to have one. With that said they were repairing the walls outside of our room at 8 am after a rain storm with sanding and spackle for a couple days. I’d still visit again but would be after they come back up of course.

Food and rooms were just average. Our room had a very musky/moldy smell that didn’t dissipate even when doors were left open. Pool area was fantastic. Everyone was very kind and service was great.

The property is beautiful and clean!! Our room was spacious and also very clean. However, the design of the vanity in the restroom was a bit user unfriendly. Beside the fresh fruit, the rest of the food was mediocre. In my humble opinion, even the food in the nicer restaurants (seafood, Italian, Hibachi, etc.) was not very authentic or delicious. The drinks are also watered down- I suggest you taste your cocktail first. If you don't get easily frightened of leaving the resort, please do so. It is the only way to get decent, authentic, fresh food.

The resort was huge. I loved my beachfront room w its own infinity pool. The preferred beach beds were lovely. The preferred club was worth it. Oceana for breakfast was awesome. A little noisier than I typically like, but it was ok. Restaurants good but need more vegetarian options. Don’t go on the trip to Isla Mujeres as it was very crowded and tacky.

The property is beautiful. Staff is extremely nice. My biggest issue was the temperature of our room. We had no a/c. A repairman came to the room on our last night, but the air still did not work. If I were to visit again, my first priority is ensuring my room’s a/c is functioning. The front desk was are because we were told others had complained about there rooms as well.

My friends and I spent a few days at Secrets Playa Mujeres, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was extremely pleasant. Juan from the Barefoot Grill was awesome. He always made sure to say hello and chat when he saw me. The food was terrific, the highlight of the dining establishments was the Bordeaux restaurant (Mario is quite the character). The pool and beach areas were well maintained. The rooms were a bit dated, apparently they will be renovating the resort soon, which is a good idea. The doors to the back patio were tough to open, and there was some funky odors in certain areas, not a huge issue, but still something to note. Overall, I would rate this a 4.5 out of 5, but as a half star is not an option, I marked it down as a 4

Walls seemed paper thin. You could hear every footstep outside your door. As well as a very very load AC UNIT in room. Almost felt like there was a washer or dryer above your bed. Not worth the money to upgrade our room and get no sleep.

Air conditioning didn’t work for 3 days, ants crawling in our bed, golf carts rarely picked us up to be transported around resort. Spoke with their chief concierge regarding our issues in which she said there was nothing she could do.

Very put off by the upsells, vacation club sales and time they waste of you vacation for the sales presentations. They offer a lot in rerun for your time but if I came to one of these properties again I would stay far away from this program. When you get there just say no!! You paid to be on vacation not to be sold repeatedly.

The property was very nice and clean, well kept. Check in was easy but not quick, was hassled about booking vip service and such. We were just wanting to check in and get to our room after a long day of traveling. The service at the restaurants was not good, service was extremely slow and the food was usually warm or even cold. Did not recommend many of the restaurants. Have had better experiences at another secrets resort.

I have no idea how none of the reviews on here are talking about how they try to pitch you timeshares at every available opportunity. Within 24 hours I was pitched the timeshare 6 times, including 4 calls to my room. And they do not take no for an answer. Usually I'm pretty friendly but it got to the point where I had to be mean and walk off to get him to stop. They also set up a little scam center in the lobby with the pool table where they bus people in from other resorts to try to sell them timeshares, so if you don't get enough of them trying to sell to you, you can listen to some of those instead! The beach is actually really nice but the rest is sub par. Our fridge and TV were broken on arrival, we found an old fry by the sink, and they don't restock your minibar. One time they didn't even replace the towels and we had to order more on the app. I do tip, so I assume that maybe that is the "good" service. The food is bland, the drinks are good, the wine is so gross. Not only am I mad that I paid a lot of money to basically spend a week at a scam center, but every time they do it they waste your precious vacation time that you paid them for already. It is scummy and I will never stay at a Hyatt property again.

The staff here is just amazing!! We didn’t have to worry about anything. They were friendly and always made sure we were taken care of. Their recommendations were so helpful… we ate at the restaurants they suggested and did many of the activities. Travel was always there for us.. amazing experience cannot wait to come back!

Beach was actually clean and pretty much clear of seaweed. Was able to hang out in the water and not feel like I was in a salad. Which was shocking considering the last few years of trips to Cancun.

Its a luxury resort. Rooms are clean and excellent service. Its pretty secluded, so you are away from the hotel zone and other central activities. The food is not that great. We had better meals when we visited the local restaurants at hotel zone area especially if you like Mexican food. Night entertainments were great!

Everything was great and the services was excellent. However, we didn't know that most places to eat at the property required long pants for men, which we didn't pack for. So just a heads up if you plan to stay at this resort men must wear jeans or dress pants to be able to eat at the restaurants.

This was a great vacation getaway. The property is a little outdated and the food is just ok. We ventured over to the Dreams resort and the Brazilian steakhouse was amazing! I will say the Dreams resort seemed nicer and had options I felt would have been more appreciated at the adults only Secrets location. The staff was amazing and attended to your every need!!! I will say staff at all the Secrets resorts I have visited have been amazing. Shout out to Thomas the golf cart driver he made the golf cart ride fun!!! Overall it’s a nice resort.

Very nicely kept. Bordeaux restaurant and Andraway ( waiter) were excellent. Beautiful beach!! We loved the outdoor dinners on Thursday and Sunday. Live entertainment at the pool was very good—especially the electric violin artist on Monday.

Staff were amazing. Food was very good and was far above the average Cancun resort. Beach was perfect. I've been coming to Cancun since 1992 and this resort experience is definitely in my top 2 as far as ratings. I would definitely recommend.

This property is very overrated and advertised wrong! Half the restaurants were not open and would rotate days being open. Coffee shop advertised being open 24 hours, was not. There was no sports bar, was "coming soon". The room was not very nice and foliage outside by patio with mosquitoes so could not use. The drinks at the pool were very diluted down... could do many shots and not even feel any alcohol. We were very disappointed with this property and vacation.

This is our 3rd time coming to this hotel. We love it because it’s a great experience. Beautiful place with great amenities and the staff goes above and beyond to meet our needs. Always great food as well.
