We booked this hotel knowing it was rustic and were not expecting luxury. Unfortunately, our disappointment had much more to do with inaccurate information and unhelpful staff. Before booking, I specifically called about the stairs because there are no elevators and I have a very bad back. I was told there were only two or three steps. In reality, there were two or three LANDINGS of stairs—a significant difference for someone with mobility issues. We arrived around 9:30 p.m. after driving from the airport and asked if anywhere nearby was still open for food. We were told delivery could take three hours and received no other help. We got back in the car and discovered several open restaurants less than a mile away. Had we listened to the staff, we would have gone to bed hungry. The bed was extremely lumpy and creaky. There were black hairs on the counters (my sis & I are blondes) and in the bathtub. Towels were minimal. We could have overlooked much of this had the staff been kind or helpful, but they weren't. We decided not to stay our second booked night. We were told only the manager could issue a refund, so we had to leave trusting that it would be handled later—which was uncomfortable after already receiving inaccurate information more than once. To the manager's credit, she did process the refund later that day without any hassle, and we appreciated that.

We rented a room with the jacuzzi tub and it was very nice. The only issue we had was the family above us were extremely loud. Kids running around until 11pm. I try to think they are just kids but the parents should have thought about others that were staying there.

This place is a hidden gem! Each room is quaint and individually decorated with wood accents and lovely bedspreads. The gift shop is excellent and the fact you have the animal zoon in the back makes it all the more reason to stay here. We found this place by accident on the way to Fallingwater and have recommended it to three friends before we even checked out. Definitely stay here!!!

Our First room . 105- the jetted tub sounded like it was going to blow up. I called. They did switch me to another room by this time. The lady at the front desk left at 11 o’clock so no one else was there once we got situated in the other room and took a shower we realized the TV did not work and would not turn on at all. Also the room was so hot we literally had to sleep with the door open . It was so bad we tried to see if the previous room was still unlocked to go sleep in there . Since it was so hot we couldn’t use the tub anyway . Was not a great experience.
