The Kartrite Resort and Indoor Waterpark

From waiting 2 hours for the room, to being in the waterpark for 45 mins with limited attractions open due to short staffing on a holiday weekend,then the fire alarm goes off had to wait outside soaking wet for 30 minutes only to return back in and they close the water park, all food options were closed no staff, then the sent out emails saying arcade is open till 11 but closed at 10 due to staff not being aware they extended the hours. It was overcrowded and no supervision of children.

The water park and outdoor area is fantastic, however the hotel has gone down hill in the last few years. Showers and toilet are old and many things are broken. Video arcade has many broken and out of order games. Wi-Fi is working only half the time. The hallways are not cleaned often so food and crumbs everywhere. Food is just ehhh.

Upon arriving at Kartrite, we checked in at 4:00. The room was not ready until 7:30. During this time, my two children bounced on the blow up pillow outside. The pillow was only open for another 15 minutes because the children’s activities are run by the same staff in different increments, so only 1 children’s activity runs at a time. The arcade is great for the kids and is probably the highlight outside of the waterpark but may be very costly. The waterpark has a lazy river, slides, a surfing station, and an area for toddlers as well as an infinity pool. 1 attraction-basketball and a cross the pool on lilypads station was closed for the majority of the time we were there. I do give them a plus for safety in the waterpark. There were many lifeguards available at each station and they quickly responded to an accidental incident. There are also many tables and chairs around the park so you could place your items around a table. The waterpark kept the young kids occupied for 5 hours. They had lots of fun but after repeatedly going on the same things multiple times, they were ready to leave. In the morning, we went to a slime making activity. We were lucky to get in because after taking 5 kids immediately, the staff member running the activity ran out of supplies and had to turn many kids away. As far as food, it appeared only 1 restaurant would be opened at a time. We opted for brkfst. off site as options were limited and high priced. 1 night is enough with children.

We went on Easter day and the property was clearly short staffed. The lazy river didn't open until 5pm, the Surfside grill was only open from 1:30-4pm- but food was served within a reasonable time. The poolside bar only had 1 bartender-- friendly and efficient!!! One of the 3 restaurants didn't open at all for dinner. The staff they did have were very accommodating and kind!! Overall it was a great trip, but be prepared with snacks/ drinks for your room! There is 3 far food restaurants and a Walmart within an 8 min drive from the property.

Clean property, rooms are little wonky with sink outside the bathroom, but overall enjoyed the weekend water park isn’t HUgE but super clean and didn’t smell which is huge in my book. Little difficult to find seating but overall good time even on a super busy holiday weekend

After the charge card was processed we learned the lazy river & activity pool were closed for 2 days. There were 2 slides closed & the cannon ballers area were closed day 2. The outdoor bounce was closed day 2. The rope course & rock climbing were not open on day 3. They had no diet soda, day 1 by the pool, they had no salad left day 2 at poolside cafe. They did not come to clean room until after 3:30pm. The managers were very busy, seemed short on staff.

Only cons is EV charging station. 2 out of 4 were not in service. Other 2 were occupied by the car that was fully charged and never reparked the vehicle. Last one gad regular car parked

Our family had an amazing time. The waterpark is the best we have ever been to - short wait times for the slides and an awesome lazy river. The room was spacious and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Very clean room and friendly staff

Unfortunately we will never go back and advise other families to stay clear. They have cockroaches in the rooms (yes more then one roach) we brought it to front desk they did absolutely nothing. So at 10pm I’m not looking to argue I packed my kids up and home we went because no way no how am I having cockroaches crawling on my kids or their things. This is a huge issue. Not only does this mean this place is dirty but it’s seriously not cleaned properly at all. Now let’s talk about front desk help. ZERO Mel and Gloria stared at me like I was crazy for being so upset and against zero help they all walked away told me mangers aren’t in until noon. No refund because I booked through Expedia. Totally fine I’ll call Expedia but the lack of care and concern is crazy. I will NEVER return and we are local residents. BEWARE

Rooms are well kept everything was just right Family friendly and the life guards are extremely vigilant and caring. There was a feeling of safety all around. Cleanliness was visible all around both indoor/outdoor. Great changing rooms with shower option was a plus. Loved every moment of my stay .

We found black dirty socks under the sheets that was there so obviously the bed was not cleaned before we arrived !! Dirt behind the nightstand also !! Terrible to see this !!

Saw a lot of dust in the room, towel was not clean found hairs.

When I first arrived, it felt like I was kind of rushed to give my room key. Nothing was really explained, it’s my first time there so I need to know a couple things. I went to my room and saw that the shower looked a bit cruddy, like it needs to be bleached and cleaned, they ended send someone and when I came back the room had such a strong smell that I had to keep the door open and turn on the fan in the bathroom and the room. The desk next to the TV needed to be wiped down, the remote control was very greasy like that was never wiped down. The towels in the bathroom had hair on it and stains. They give you one little round piece of soap to wash your hands with also, the body wash in the shower and the shampoo, which is the body wash, and the conditioner is all cheap products. There was also limited waterpark rides. It looks like the staff is a little Miserable on some of the stores. A lot of of the fire pits weren’t working only one. Someone really hyped this place up, but it’s not worth the hype and it’s overpriced for what they offer. They don’t even offer feedback or anything which they should’ve, which would’ve made things better. Needless to say, I don’t think me and my daughter will be returning back.

We were in room 308 the room wasn’t that clean we found a soda can and a water bottle in the sofa bed the room needs to renovate It was dirty

This resort is located in a secluded section of the mountains with no large cities nearby so plan accordingly to pack what you need. The grounds and lobby were beautifully maintained and thestaff were kind, attentive, and a pleasure to interact with. The place felt very family friendly with multiple families hanging out at the fire pits after the pool closes, kids tossing footballs in the nearby field, laughter, it was a great atmosphere. The room was spacious, spotless, and stocked with plenty of towels and toiletries for our stay. There were a few food options on site, a large arcade/game room area, and a little play area in the lobby with games, activities led by staff, and crafts for kids. The waterpark was clean, the water did not have that over chlorinated smell, and they have a giant hot tub that extends outside into a heated pool, very relaxing. The slides, pools, and splash pad were consistently monitored for cleanliness, lifeguards were attentive and even the other guests we interacted with were pleasant. Overall this was a great value for the money and a reasonable drive to legoland for a much better price.

Excellent! My family and I loved our stay. A little disappointed the tv wasn't a smart tv to stream our apps. Nonetheless it was great!!

The hotel room was clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows very comfortable.

The size of the resort was perfect. We have been to others where thinking of walking back to your room felt like a forever track. Not Kartrite...it's the perfect size. We stayed in the two bedroom suite w/balcony...plenty of room for all to have their own space and worth the extra money.

The hotel was beautiful and staff were extremely caring and attentive. Only downside were the kids running in the hallways at after 1 a.m. every night. They were loud and it was pretty annoying. After spending the day in the waterpark I was pretty tired and didnt really get much rest w all the noise.

The property was kept clean, however the room next to me and above me had kids running around and jumping at 1am. So much for quiet hours to rest.

I went with my family to celebrate my birthday. We loved all the attractions that the resort had to offer. The room was big and spacious and the hotel was clean and quiet. I did not like the buffet breakfast options for the price. I think it is best to try diners in the area. We will surely return to this location. My son loved it!

Go there for on time check in and was told there wasn't a clean room, but they charged me the resort fee and told me they would text me when a room was ready estimated it would be an hour. Luckily it wasn't an hour but it was inconvenient due to my plans for the evening. The room had an air conditioner which was loud as a freight train and the wall thermometer didn't work. Very noisy and hard to sleep. The room safe didn't lock, again inconvenient. At checkout we were reporting these issues to staff and another customer was there, we had patiently waited for this customer to ask several questions of the staff member and when another staff member walked by the other customer started questioning her. Instead of answering the staff member started calling out to the staff member in the midst of our conversation, it was rude and the staff member doing so didn't seem to care that we were in the middle of a conversation. For this reason during check out times it may be better to have more than 1 person manning the desk. She did reimburse our resort fee. We didn't use the waterpark so I can't comment on that. Bur overall, terrible stay.

I took my daughter to The Kartrite Resort for her birthday, and we had an amazing time! The staff was friendly, the place was spotless, and the vibe was perfect for families. Such a great experience we’ll definitely be back!

Couldn’t check in until 7:00 pm when check-in is supposed to be at 4. The majority of the staff were very rude and showed no hospitality. The food was terrible so we had to go to a different place off the property to eat. The bathrooms were disgusting. The rooms were dirty. This was the 2nd time we have came here and it will definitely be the last! Spent almost 2000 for NOTHING.

I come to this Waterpark multiple times a year and this is my first bad experience. Front desk notified me that I had to pay a resort fee due to 3rd party booking which I never had to do before. Bar staff at the water park were horrible at customer service. One of them saw me and was about to come and took my order and got sidetracked and went to help another customer. Others were busy talking to each other when there were multiple people waiting. Only one staff member was very helpful every time I went to the bar. It should take over 15 minutes to get a drink if there are 4 staff members working. I don’t like to leave a bad review on any organization especially if I have a good experience from the same place I go multiple times a year.

We loved the water park and pools. The hotel room was also clean and comfortable. However, we had two major issues within upon arrival. One person in our party was injured while seated in a chair in the main lobby. The front LEG fell off. It’s been two days and we’re still waiting to hear back regarding an incident report. The water park restaurant did not open on time and did not have all of the food options advertised online. Unsure if we will return because staff do not make customers feel valued or safe in their facilities.

If they know the property is going to be sold out they need to bring in more cleaners so they can help turn our the rooms faster. We drove 4hrs away just to get to check in which was suppose to be 4pm but we didnt get our rooms until like 630pm. The water park closes at 7pm and we was only here fir 1day. It was a very big inconvenience because i traveled with my 10 kids who just wanted to put they stuff down and go play. Although the girl at the corner was very polite and tried to accommodate us by putting our perishables in the fridge it just was a big inconvenience because i tried to time it just right and the resort dropped the ball. Also when we did get to the water park the floor in the lazy river was slippery and my 5yr old fell and got a huge cut so it should be mandatory for water shoes. Other then that we had a good time.

Upon arrival i called And spoke with Wendy about my upcoming arrival and she was very friendly and assisted me with my questions and with making sure she can get my rooms as close as possible with me having to last minute book another room. When i arrived She assisted me at the desk with a smile very pleasant and welcoming. Her service was impeccable and made me want to return and recommend. Thanks again Wendy at the front desk

This was my second visit, and I must say, it did not disappoint. Firstly, I would like to extend my thanks to Gloria at the front desk for the fantastic welcome. Her recognition from my previous visit truly set the tone for an enjoyable stay and highlights the exceptional hospitality service provided. Furthermore, the staff at the food court were extremely helpful and pleasant, and the lifeguards were equally commendable. Their efforts did not go unnoticed and contributed significantly to the overall enjoyment of my visit. I have had the pleasure of visiting many resorts, but Kartrite Resort remains my favorite. The consistent excellence in service and dedication to guest satisfaction is unparalleled. Thank you to all the amazing staff for exceeding our expectations and making our stay memorable.

We arrived Friday about 7pm there was 1 person running the front desk. Once it was our turn, check in was quick. The entrance to the resort was clean and nice with a lot going on, which made the lobby busy. (movie playing & other activities) lobby/check in area (not a lot of staff around). We went to our room, which was easy to get to (6th floor) the room was clean and a nice size. We had king bed, pull out sofa and 4 bunk room. (We had 6 kids 12-16 yrs with us) main lobby had a bar area open, 1 sit down restaurant open - no available seats untill 9:45pm. bar area did not serve food, and only had 1 bartender, another cafe in lobby but it was closed. Downstairs, at bottom of the stairs was a large bar with bowling ally/arcade games, this bar was NOT open the entire weekend. It would have been nice to have drinks, and bowl. Further down the hall was a buffet, it was open Friday night with a Mexican theme food, the hostess was gossiping with 2 other staff members, was rude as if I interrupted her! The buffet was sparse we did not eat here. We had to order Uber eats Friday night annd left resort to eat Saturday. The ice cream, candy shop which was open all weekend. The big arcade had many activities but it was very under staffed, so many of the activities were closed, finally Sunday after check out our kids were able to do laser tag and rope course only. The water park was large, clean and well staffed but only open 11am to 7pm!

Its a small, quiet and a cozy waterpark. Staff was excellent. We enjoyed the lazy river. There are limited rides, dining options. You have to pay extra for room service. There arent much activiites around the area. Overall we enjoyed the quiet, small, cozy feel of the place. Good for preteens and younger.

Hotel is good, nice and clean, the room smell humid but we understand why! There is not much food option and is too expensive, but have some fast food places about 10 min away and I prepared some before just too heated on the microwave. Waterpark beautiful and fun, mi kids enjoy 10 of 10. Well the water was so bleached, I think because was a very busy weekend (memorial day) I definitely coming back!!!

The grounds outside had fun activities set up for children to do before the water park opened. There was a walking trail, yard games, a jumping pillow, and fire pits for night time.

Our family trip was amazing! Kiddos loved the indoor waterpark and actitivies. We all enjoyed spending time around the fire pit and toasting marshmallow. So excited to see deers very closed by, and some cute beavers. You won't forget the morning breezes and peaceful moments.

This was perfect for what we needed as a family. Went to see a show at Bethel Woods Pavilion and the kids have a fun time at the water park and arcade. Perhaps it is off-season (although I would guess Memorial Day weekend is a popular time), but the facility was understaffed. This caused delays while waiting for breakfast, floors and garbage not being cleaned up properly or at all, and the Memorial Day BBQ took over an hour to get food. Not all the slides were open nor all of the restaurants. And again, long delays due to understaffing. I would recommend but it would be hit or miss if they are properly staffed.

Great location. We made great memories there. I definitely recommend it!

Everything was close by. Even able to visit casino after eating.

Not to many "restaurant" options at the resort but glad there was other food choices near by and even a Walmart. Other than that, the family enjoyed everything!

My only complaint was the minimal options for food service(including extremely long wait times) and the hours. Water park opens too late (11 am-7pm and closes too early! Arcade doesn’t open until 10 am so what are we supposed to do from 7 am until then? Check in is at 4pm so we only have 3 hours to enjoy the park.

The hotel is very good,also the water park. My kids really enjoyed it! but the Restaurant inside the hotel is open just Saturday and Sunday very limited hours. My family had to go out for dinner and breakfast on Friday. Saturday we tried breakfast at EEE, it costs 100$ for 4 including gratuity. There also have a cafeteria but as the restaurant very limited hours. Option for food is poor, that’s the only negative point for me.

The rooms were well-equipped. They had a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, etc. I didn’t like that they only have a restaurant open on weekdays. So, you have to eat the same food every day.

The waterpark and room was great, but there were only two options for dinner: a very small, limited buffet -- or an expensive restaurant where we had to wait 90 minutes for our food. Not convinient when you have toddlers.

The room was clean ans very spacious and we love the activities that they had to offer. I did not like the choices that were offered for the buffet breakfast for the price. Nevertheless I will return with my family.
