Good location with plenty of choices to eat and drink within walking distance. Supermarket nearby. Rooms are a generous size, a little dated but clean and bed is comfortable. Excellent air conditioning. Lovely pool area with enough sun loungers when I was there. Direct access to beach. Bar and restaurant located by the pool, food reasonable and not overpriced. Staff were friendly, some smiled more than others but not rude. Certainly a reasonable place to enjoy Barbados from.

This property offers rooms with kitchen facilities there are grocery stores close by as well, making it easy to select items for breakfast or whatever. Room was spotless, house keeping every day ! The beach is right there and it’s not crowded and there are loungers. The pools and garden area is lovely this property offers very good value for your vacation dollars. We will be back!!!

This is a cheap and cheerful beachfront hotel. It is quiet, clean and the staff are just wonderful. The location is perfect, 10 mins walk to the main part of the Gap, right by Dover Market for all your grocery needs. Taxis readily available, 2 min walk to Bliss Cafe. We loved it. The beds were more comfortable than the 5 star we stayed at last summer. Microwave and kettle and fridge came in real handy for making small breakfasts or heating up leftovers! The restaurant Seagrape had delicious breakfasts and amazing staff. Only complaint I have is that it’s called “Dover beach hotel” - there were no beach chairs for us, unless we stole some from 5 stars next door. There were maybe 8 chairs for our hotel on the beach. We ended up walking to the main Dover beach by Sapphire and paid for chairs daily. This is a true 3 star, but the staff, cleanliness and location Made it a 4 star for me! We’ll be back for sure!

The main building was ocean front but the other two were not. Expected a kitchenette but got only a fridge and microwave and kettle. Two cups and saucers but no plates or cutlery. These were supplied on request. Building is old and rooms badly set out. Lots of wasted space. Nothing happening in the evenings bar/restaurant closed about 8! Breakfast was ok but didn’t eat in the restaurant. Lots of places to eat nearby.

This 3-star hotel is a favourite of ours for the price. The location in St. Lawrence Gap is close to many restaurants. It fronts on a rocky beach, but right beside the sandy Dover Beach. Rooms vary in quality and age, but are clean and the WiFi is good. The on-site outdoor restaurant serves good good and drinks. They now have two buildings and two pools to choose from.

Clean and ideally located. Small hotel with friendly staff. Good value for the price. Wish the towels were more readily available. We were told that they had to wash the towels in our room in order to replace them. Gym equipment was dated and one machine did not work. Overall my fiance and I had a good experience staying there. We would stay there again.

Great location and prices on site and in area around location were nice as well. Loved that with beach access, restaurant and pool i could have a resort like experience if i wanted but with location could easily walk into town. The town area was also calm but lively but with easy access to St Lawrence Gap.

The hotel is in a very walkable area convenient to 2 beaches, restaurants, and a grocery. The a/c worked perfectly. For a "budget" hotel, the guests receive a lot of value. A clean facility with restaurant, bar, & helpful staff. My only complaint - the very friendly bartender serves a measured drink no matter how much you tip. I realized early on that a generous tip would not get a generous pour. Consequently tip was reduced. Front desk staff very helpful. I have only good thigs to say about my stay.

I like the location and staff were friendly and helpful rooms are clean snd well presented. My only complaint is the bathroom was dirty black tile grouting toilet could do with a good clean the sink was cracked. Could not use the mirror as the tv was placed right in front of it. The mirror in the bathroom was ok but not enough light in there.

Very wonderful, amazing and helpful staff. Unfortunately I must warn that some of the rooms are in a building outside the main hall. The wifi doesnt really work in that building, and the hallway is opened all day and connected to the main road. In my opinion that is not safe. The food options around the hotel are very overpriced and honestly not great. Hotel food is very expensive - so much so I didnt try it. Rooms did not come with bottled water. I found the rooms looked a little dirty and the paint and so on is certainly outdated. But again the staff is good and they have a solid gym. The problems at the hotel are not due to the staff.

Great for long term stays since there is a fridge, microwave & electrical tea kettle. It's been around awhile, but it's clean and has 24 hour security along with 2 pools and a restaurant. The standard room was very large with lots of storage area, large bathroom, good hot water in the shower stall and sink. The space is larger than some apartments in desirable areas in Manhattan (NY). People in the open areas talking makes it a bit noisy

The walls are paper thin. You can hear both sides of phone conversations in the next room! The noise in the hall was loud, people talking, yelling, slamming doors. The TV didn’t work. Pool looked nice.

The location is great and service from the staff is great. Restaurant is perfectly fine and have a great breakfast. But the walls are paper-thin between the rooms. I heard the people in the room next to mine coughing and snoring all night long. As well as conversation carried right through the walls. It was the only issue.

If you like walking to a coffee shop every morning and trying out great restaurants then this is a good location. The hotel itself is quite tired but kept clean. Our room was facing the ocean and you can't manufacture that view. It is spectacular. The kitchenette is very limiting. You could pull of a simple breakfast with cereal/toast and a cold lunch. There is NO OVEN and the stove has to be lit with a match. One day our fridge turned off so we had to through out some juice. When we got there we had to ask for a coffee maker. We ended up not using it because the Cake Lady was a short walk away and they makes great cappuccinos. The bed was no uncomfortable but lacked in sheeting and blankets. The textiles we shabby and need to be replaced. In a pinch I would stay there again but only for a short time. ( 3 days)

Wonderful stay at a very comfortable and extremely friendly staff. Every one was outstanding! Big shout out to Natalie for all the special work she put into making our stay special! Great shopping and restaurants in walking distance. Had an issue on our last night with the AC and was promptly moved onto another room without any issues whatsoever. The staff is incredibly helpful and a professional!

The restaurant staff are in dire need of customer service training. We had to seat ourself, find our own menu and cutlery and dust the sand off the chairs and tables before sitting. Ordered a soup starter and mains and for some inexplicable reason everything was served to us all at once. By the time we were done with our soup which was unbarebly sweet for a "vegetable soup" our mains were cold. Food lacked flavour and staff were cold and unprofessional. When done with the meal no one showed up for us to sign off on the bill....we had to go find the staff ourselves. Overall a very dissapointing experience.

The service was terrible. I got there and the front desk was closed. The security showed me to my room but did not offer to take ny bag up the 2 flights of stairs. Just responding to a question seemed like pulling teeth. The service sucked.

My rating for the staff was based on the restaurant staff and one of the receptionists. My overall stay was scary and unpleasant. 1- on the first night I had a very unpleasant experience with one of the guards, I felt like he was following me to my room; when I asked him about it he told me relax, then he turned around and walked in the opposite direction. I asked to be relocated for the remaining of my stay 2- still on the first night in my first room the neighboring guests were noisy and I could hear everything and I mean EVERYTHING even intimate moments. Not sure if these people were having a party but there was loud talking, laughter and slamming of doors throughout the night. I was relocated for my second night stay and that room was better, I finally got a good night rest, so I thought “this place is actually not that bad”. I was WRONG 3- on my final night guess what, someone opened the door to my room at 9:12pm. Yes I said opened, used a key card turn the lock and entered the room, thank God I had the chain on so they didn’t gain full entry. I started to scream and the person on the other end apologized. I reported the situation to the Front desk upon my checkout and they were shocked and apologized - they asked me if I requested any service to my room “AM NO”, the “do not disturb” tag was on the door.

The attitude of the staff at the restaurant was absolutely disgusting. Because family and friends felt so upset about the way we were treated by the staff, it ruined part of our vacation. The food as well was really horrible. There was one front desk staff that was really wonderful when we checked in but on the second day the front desk attendant attitude was absolutely horrible. We will never be staying here again.

Easy walking to the main road and public transportation. Great spots nearby to grab a bit and find entertainment. Excellent beach out back if you don’t feel like going too far. All in all a great budget friendly option for your Barbados holiday!

The location of the property was excellent and the staff were friendly. Room facilities good and nice Pool temperature. The beach needs clearing of seaweed and was a bit rough for swimming. There was also some building works next door but not too much disturbance. Happy Hour at the Bar was Midday and 5 pm. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Second time staying at this hotel, it was worth repeating! We have had a wonderful stay at Dover Beach Hotel. The hotel is right on the beach and has a friendly authentic feel to it. In a great position looking out to sea yet close to the bus stop to get around the island. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Breakfast is wonderful. Fabulous place to watch the sunrise and sunset. Thank you for a beautiful week.

Dover Beach Hotel is a small but clean hotel where the beach and main road are easily accessible . The Sea Grape restuarant served a simple menu of tasty meals. The staff at the hotel were always friendly and ready to assist with transport or tours. The room was tidied every day and the ac worked well, especially on the extremely hot days when we came back from a tour or the beach. I would stay there again!

From start to finish, this hotel was everything I expected but sadly the evening food wasn't good at all in the restaurant.when I ordered room service in the mornings, the food was good and the delivery was fast.Housekeeping and maintenance took excellent care of my room whenever I had to call if I had a problem.Unfortunately this was my last time to visit Barbados. so I'll say my Goodbyes and thanks to the staff at Dover Beach hotel in St Lawrence gap.

We had an amazing stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The on site restaurant was a little over priced food wise. Located perfectly at the end of the st Lawrence gap where it’s still quiet but close to everything. The only downfall to this hotel is the drug dealers constantly bugging you as soon as you walk onto the beach and occasionally yelling to me as they walk by my balcony.

The staff were friendly and ready to make your vacation the best. T shirts at gift shop were affordable, drinks at restaurant were yummy especially the rum punch. My husband enjoyed his local beer. Beach was excellent. We swam where people were. Was fun to hear and see everyone having a happy time. Pool was like a lovely hot tub
