Room was smaller than thought. Forth bed was a makeshift camp bed squeezed in the corner. There was no pool or bar facilities as advertised. Host did not offer transfer to beach at any time. Location and view was great. Breakfast in room was also very good. House maid was very friendly. Host was limited in English but this was okay and they tried hard to please and understand.

The manager cheated on us that there is no posiibility to find a place to park in the town and the price 90 EURO PER DAY is normal practice. He said that we must pay for 5 days right now. I paid and then I found parkings with price 35 Euro per day. I took my car out of the parking but they refused to give my money back. Terrible PLACE!!!

Deserves 2 stars. We arrived with our car, was charged 300$ for parking 100$/night because they can cuz it’s Positano. There are couple of items on the included breakfast menu: Croissant, 1/2 cup OJ and coffee and if you don’t ask for it you don’t get it cuz they bring it to you. The hallways smell like vomit. Shower barely works and so on.. it is a family run 2-3 room I don’t know what but not a hotel ! no I do not recommend this please!

Parking cost was overly priced, 200 Euros for two nights The washroom door did not lock The bathroom stand up shower - the drainage would clog The mini fridge items overly priced- especially bottled water 5.00 Euro The hotel room was overly priced for what it offers. The location was not bad as it was beside the connivence store and walking distance to the town of Positano Staff greeted well, rooms were cleaned daily.

Elijan cualquier otra opción mas cerca abajo. No muy buen trato del señor en recepción.

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel and it left me disappointed. The pictures online painted a luxurious picture, but upon arrival, I found the reality to be quite different. The room was smaller than expected, and the furnishings were worn walls scuffs all over. The amenities mentioned were either unavailable or required additional fees. Overall, the experience did not live up to the price tag, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others seeking a high-end stay. In addition parking was $100 a day and private tour we booked through them which was canceled for weather is yet to be refunded 10 days since cancellation. The private tour we booked for a boat excursion was over priced too- at the port the same excursion was $650 cheaper. Should of done our homework instead of trusting the hotel.

The Palazzo Marzoli Resort does not have all of the trappings of a typical resort. It is more similar to a B&B run by caring people who are genuinely concerned about their guests comfort. The room was spacious and clean and the pictures are accurate to what the facility looks like. My only complaint is the 100€ per day garage parking fee. I thought the parking fee was a bit excessive even for Positano in the high season. Otherwise a nice place to stay for a few days.

The ports of electricity wouldn’t work, the beds were very uncomfortable , the a/c doesn’t work very well , Their is no sauna no gym no spa … when I looked up the property it showed that this was included .

The attention in general is good but the parking of the car they charged me 80 euros per day and they had told me that it was between 40 and 50 euros. Outside in the parking spaces they charge 40 euros per day Breakfast is nothing special, very simple: coffee, eggs and bread, if you want something extra they charge you

Our stay was excellent. Very nice clean room with a private terrace with a sea view. We liked that the breakfast was served to the room so we could enjoy the view with our breakfast. Best part was the staff and the service, very kind and loveable people who made us feel like home here. The location was a bit further from the center so many many steps but we didin’t mind because we wanted a nice view from our hotel. I strongly recommend if you don’t mind some steps because the staff will treat you very kindly, definitely the best treatment here in all of the hotels that I have stayed. <3

The view from our room's balcony was unreal! The hotel was clean and in good shape. As long as you're willing to walk the 750 stairs up from the beach, this is a great place to stay!

Did not get the rooms we booked. Booked two deluxe sea view rooms and received one family room, with only one bathroom to share between 4 adults. The hotel gave one of our rooms to other people. Also rooms not cleaned properly. They charged euros 240 to garage the car for two nights. Most unhappy.

My reservation was for an ocean view room at the resort. However, we were put up in a completely different building, La Caravella Residence. La Caravella is a very old and outdated apartment building. While it is directly across from the beach, it does not feel or look like a resort. The room we were put in wreaked of cigarette smoke and had a view of beach umbrellas. I called the resort office about the difference in locations and to complain about the smell (supposed to be nonsmoking) and the man ended up hanging up on me. I was frustrated and reached out to Expedia and also wrote a Google review, which led to the property manager contacting me to explain that my original room at the resort had a bathroom plumbing problem that couldn’t be addressed, so I was moved. He then gave me an option for a different room on the second floor at La Caravella, which we took as it had a better view and didn’t smell like smoke. Manager should’ve been honest from the beginning. Very rude man. All in all the location is perfect, but the facilities are very outdated and would benefit from some investment - especially new mattresses, pillows, and towels.

The outside appearance, location, and views of the hotel were the only things satisfactory. The manager didn't speak English and was not accommodating or hospitable. Leo and Eva were kind and trying to be a helpful as possible. They upcharged for a ride anywhere and charged different rates ($25-$50 USD per ride).The bedspread and couch had stains, were dusty and never cleaned/washed. The manager didn't explain that we had to leave our key with them in order to have them clean our room which is a security hazard as I had items in the safe. The breakfast was not good and they charged for anything cooked. Overall, I'm disappointed for spending this kind of money on this stay as I was paying hefty for a view and that's it. Loved Positano but not this hotel.

The resort is very beautiful with a professional staff! Me and my both children had a wonderful time in the room with the sea views and Positano from above! Our breakfast was served as scheduled in our room every morning! It is very easy to find from the main road uphill! Very clean and well maintained! It is minutes away from the local restaurants! Highly recommend it while visiting Amalfi coast!

Do not stay here! I repeat do not stay here! This place charged me for minibar items I had not used. The beds are hard as a rock. I thought I was Fred Flintstone sleeping on the mattress. The management also doesn't know one thing about running a business

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel and it left me disappointed. The pictures online painted a luxurious picture, but upon arrival, I found the reality to be quite different. The room was smaller than expected, and the furnishings were worn walls scuffs all over. The amenities mentioned were either unavailable or required additional fees. Overall, the experience did not live up to the price tag, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others seeking a high-end stay. In addition parking was $100 a day and private tour we booked through them which was canceled for weather is yet to be refunded 10 days since cancellation. The private tour we booked for a boat excursion was over priced too- at the port the same excursion was $650 cheaper. Should of done our homework instead of trusting the hotel.

The staff/ owner was very attentive and kind to us. We enjoyed the view and having breakfast brought to our room each day. The only suggestion would bento have more water pressure for the 3 rd floor. Shower was a trickle. Beautiful place!

It’s not worth what I paid. This place is way high up in positano. Hot water was just like Luke warm more like cold. Shower size is very tiny. Bed is uncomfortable and loose. Same breakfast every day in the room. No other option. Very limited choice. Very disappointing. I am sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. No lobby at all.

The views are picture perfect and the atmosphere is serene and elegant. We booked the suite and I completely recommend it. It was spacious, luxurious, and offered sweeping views that felt like waking up inside a dream. The balcony alone was worth every penny. What made the stay truly special was the incredible front desk staff. They were the kindest and most attentive people I have ever met in my travels. From offering local recommendations, to assisting with transportation, to greeting us with genuine warmth every time we walked through the door, they made us feel not like guests but like family. Palazzo Marzoli is situated quite high in Positano. The positive is the extraordinary view from the balcony. The downside is quite many steps to the area around the harbour. To me, Positano is all about the view, and the view from the balconies is one of the best in Positano. There are quite many good restaurants nearby. The hotel is next to a road, so traffic can be heard. Great service at the reception. Only a small discussion at check out as the reception had registered beverages consumed, and which they fairly deleted from the final invoice. Extras from the minibar are very expensive. All in all a fantastic experience, and I hope to be back soon!

Great stay and beautiful clean rooms, my only problem was the Wi-Fi it was really bad and it would logged you out every minute or so, they kinda push for you to purchase an extra wifi service to avoid this issue so not very happy about that, also the breakfast is very simple, only offering drinks and croissants, for very very expensive extra charge you can get fruit, eggs, cheese and meats, we got the cheese and meats for 10€ and we literally got 3 slices, absolutely ridiculous, besides that, very friendly staff, clean and great views.

It felt more like I was staying at someone's grandma's beach house if she had a housekeeper and a butler. When we first arrived, we had to pay the €16 city tax in cash, which seemed really sketchy since I didn't see it in the listing, but was actually in the fine print. The location of the property is beautiful for the views, but impractical to walk to anything except for Yogoloso down the street which was our lifesaver. If you do happen to venture off, beware that Google maps isn’t exactly accurate and the steep climbs are difficult to get back up if you're not used to it. This led to us asking the front desk for a ride to our reservation by the water. He told us it would be €35 in cash, but we didn't have the cash on us so he said we could pay it the next day. We got a ride back that night and gave them the €70 the next day. We bought some extra items to supplement the free breakfast, which was a wonderful experience and very convenient. They came in and set it up outside and it was delicious. One night, we ordered dinner through their menu, but it was actually food from down the road that they prepared on plates and made look nice. It was fine though, they set it up outside like they did the breakfast. The real problem I had was when we checked out, the total we owed in cash was a bit more than we had calculated ourselves and when I asked for an itemized receipt, he wouldn't give one to me and claimed he was unable to do so. Heed the warnings and beware.

When you arrive, use the porters to take your luggage and enjoy the 40 flights up to this roost. Views are fab, room is all you need. Reception staff is a little sketchy - immediately hit me up for cash for a “city tax” no receipt. B’fast in the room was average. Wine in the mini bar was forgettable, and when I checked out and offered to pay because the house keeping didn’t pick it up- again reception wanted another 10€ over the cost shown in the room. I declined to pay. I have had such warm hotel staff through out my travels in Europe - this was unexpected and a turn off.

The outside appearance, location, and views of the hotel were the only things satisfactory. The manager didn't speak English and was not accommodating or hospitable. Leo and Eva were kind and trying to be a helpful as possible. They upcharged for a ride anywhere and charged different rates ($25-$50 USD per ride).The bedspread and couch had stains, were dusty and never cleaned/washed. The manager didn't explain that we had to leave our key with them in order to have them clean our room which is a security hazard as I had items in the safe. The breakfast was not good and they charged for anything cooked. Overall, I'm disappointed for spending this kind of money on this stay as I was paying hefty for a view and that's it. Loved Positano but not this hotel.

We were disappointed in how far it was. We didn't realize the location was so far up the hill. Front desk was 24 hour service, but never once did they open up the door for us. They wanted to keep our key at the front desk and we felt very uncomfortable. Worse breakfast of our lives. Honeymoon suite was incredible though. Just very very far walk from center let alone Beach.

This hotel was great! It was located at the TOP of the hill overlooking Positano, which gave us an amazing view from our balcony, where we had our breakfast every morning and a drink every night. It is located at the TOP of the steps to the beach, which were strenuous in the heat. It was probably around 1000 steps to the water. But the bus was cheap and there was a bus stop 500 feet from the hotel, so that worked out well. Breakfast was fresh and brought to your room, and staff was helpful and courteous. Recommend!

This was an amazing experience! The room was beautiful and the view is something we will never forget. Breakfast was delivered to our room and it was delicious. The staff were very welcoming and sweet, made us feel at home. Would do it all over again. Grazie!

This is for sure not 4 star hotel! First, compare ro other hotels 4 star in Positano, this one is very high on the hill, which means many many stairs to the beach and restaurants. It's on the main road with the buses that lead to Amalfi or Sorrento, which make it very noisy the whole day!! We reserved a room with continental breakfast, but eggs are 10€ extra, frutis are 8€ extra, cheese and ham are 8€ extra... croissant and coffee are NOT a continental breakfast. I never saw that price for a coca cola or water in a mini bar- 8€ for a small can!!! Moreover, it was 13 celzius outside at night, but the air-condition in full power didn't work! In the bathroom we got frozen after showring cause there was no heater there, not even to dry our towels! The hotel didn't open the jacuzzi saying cause of covid restrictions, but all the other hotels we visited during the last week had their pool and jacuzzi open. How come? Try to avoid this hotel, and trust me- never book hotels rated less than 8 here!

The outside appearance, location, and views of the hotel were the only things satisfactory. The manager didn't speak English and was not accommodating or hospitable. Leo and Eva were kind and trying to be a helpful as possible. They upcharged for a ride anywhere and charged different rates ($25-$50 USD per ride).The bedspread and couch had stains, were dusty and never cleaned/washed. The manager didn't explain that we had to leave our key with them in order to have them clean our room which is a security hazard as I had items in the safe. The breakfast was not good and they charged for anything cooked. Overall, I'm disappointed for spending this kind of money on this stay as I was paying hefty for a view and that's it. Loved Positano but not this hotel.

We were disappointed in how far it was. We didn't realize the location was so far up the hill. Front desk was 24 hour service, but never once did they open up the door for us. They wanted to keep our key at the front desk and we felt very uncomfortable. Worse breakfast of our lives. Honeymoon suite was incredible though. Just very very far walk from center let alone Beach.

The staff/ owner was very attentive and kind to us. We enjoyed the view and having breakfast brought to our room each day. The only suggestion would bento have more water pressure for the 3 rd floor. Shower was a trickle. Beautiful place!

It’s not worth what I paid. This place is way high up in positano. Hot water was just like Luke warm more like cold. Shower size is very tiny. Bed is uncomfortable and loose. Same breakfast every day in the room. No other option. Very limited choice. Very disappointing. I am sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. No lobby at all.

Great stay and beautiful clean rooms, my only problem was the Wi-Fi it was really bad and it would logged you out every minute or so, they kinda push for you to purchase an extra wifi service to avoid this issue so not very happy about that, also the breakfast is very simple, only offering drinks and croissants, for very very expensive extra charge you can get fruit, eggs, cheese and meats, we got the cheese and meats for 10€ and we literally got 3 slices, absolutely ridiculous, besides that, very friendly staff, clean and great views.

The attention in general is good but the parking of the car they charged me 80 euros per day and they had told me that it was between 40 and 50 euros. This hotel was great! It was located at the TOP of the hill overlooking Positano, which gave us an amazing view from our balcony, where we had our breakfast every morning and a drink every night. It is located at the TOP of the steps to the beach, which were strenuous in the heat. It was probably around 1000 steps to the water. But the bus was cheap and there was a bus stop 500 feet from the hotel, so that worked out well. Breakfast was fresh and brought to your room, and staff was helpful and courteous. Recommend!

I stayed for 2 nights, and my stay was amazing, we did Ocean view and it was spectacular, the room was very clean and beautiful decor the bathroom was a scene with beautiful tile and everything available. You can get to the hotel walking distance 16 min from the ferry but lots of steps or you can take a taxi which I recommend if you have luggage. The staff was amazing, very professional sweet and attentive, we had complimentary breakfast and the food was fresh and delicious I cannot get over the croissants and coffee. They also helped me rent a Vespa which I recommend a lot if you are going places since it's a long walk for shops and also booked private transportation for my time of leave since it was very early, they spoke English and I got to practice my Italian as well very sweet people would recommend my stay and would def. come again!
