This is a beautiful newer property. It is located close to a restaurant, so that was a good thing, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The room needs a fan in the bathroom! The pool was dirty and very cold!

Very nice ! Only small problem was the elevators were not working. Luckly my wife & I have no problem climbing to the 3rd floor

The room was clean and up to date. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was attentive and friendly. The elevator was out of order but they had arranged for staff to carry bags up the stairs. Very helpful and friendly.

The pool is closed in winter

New, Pool did not work - CLOSED ! Breakfast was crap

Pool was closed indefinitely. Pool was the primary reason for booking this rather than normal spot downtown.

At check in they said they didn’t have a king bed as was confirmed. Ended up with 2 queen beds, not our preference. Was told we were on the 2nd floor and the elevator is not working, not convenient at all. Overall a clean room, but disappointed overall.

I don't think most people head to Winnemuca to stay there, like us it is probably a stop over on a road trip. I think the Fairfield Inn is probably the best place to stay in the town. It's clean, newer hotel and convenient to getting on and off the 80. They have a good fitness center, but the pool is very small. If you need to stay in Winnemuca this should be your place.

This is a new property, the staff is excellent. Restaurant is next door. Easy access on and off the freeway. Ample parking, even for an RV

Front desk excellent service, however stayed three nights and each morning requested my room be cleaned. The desk clerk would write down the request in his notebook and each evening when I returned nothing had been cleaned. Finally second evening I had to request towels which the clerk apologized and returned with towels. Second time I’ve stayed here with same results. Shame on me for excepting this service and shame on them for not verifying services requested.

Clean comfy room parking was great and my experience was enjoyable.

There was no soap in room and bathroom floor had small hairs all over.

Room and hotel were clean and well taken care of. Only bad part was the pillows, terribly uncomfortable.

Nice Hotel, But a Few Surprises Await! We stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Winnemucca, Nevada last night, and while it’s a nice, newer hotel, there were a few things that gave us some memorable moments—though maybe not the kind we expected! First off, the room was clean (mostly), spacious, and had a walk-in shower with a pretty great showerhead. Kudos for that! However, the sliding door on the shower sounded like it was auditioning for a horror movie—it scraped loudly every time we moved it. Minor fix there, I’m sure. Now, about the bathroom… It had this lovely “sewage chic” aroma that lingered. We couldn’t quite figure out where it was coming from, but it was a little hard to ignore. Oh, and there were no tissues in the room! Maybe they were hiding? I checked everywhere. The kicker: we found a pair of men’s underwear on the floor by the bed. I’m assuming they weren’t a complimentary gift from the hotel? I left a note on the ground sotheyd be sure to find them before the next guests arrrive. On the plus side, there was plenty of parking, though no EV charging, which is something we hoped to see in such a new hotel. Breakfast was decent, but they ran out of coffee (I know, tragic!) and didn’t refill it. For some of us, that’s an emergency situation! Check-in was smooth, and the front desk clerk was friendly, so no complaints there. But I do have to warn you: the walls and windows are thin—really thin. Great hotel! Clean, quiet and great staff. Only suggestion would be a hair dyer in the room. This is not a big deal. Definitely is my new place to stay in Winnemucca.

This was very disappointing. When I opened the door to my room I was hit with a strong detergent or perfume odor, I’m guessing to cover up the fact that the room wasn’t very clean. The bathroom was especially bad. The toilet had stains in it and a dirty towel sitting on top of it. The sink area had water stains all around. The shower also had water stains all over the glass doors, as well as thick discolored streaks from the poor attempt at cleaning. In general it didn’t feel like the bathroom had a proper cleaning in some time. I didn’t even want to take a shower in there. I just got up and checked out the next day. The TV had no remote control, which I had replaced at the front desk. When I did get the TV working finally it was stuck in demo mode, with constant pop ups displaying the TV features.

All was well with the exception of a “sewer” odor in the bathroom. Although there was an odor the overall cleanliness was great.

Hotel is clean, staff friendly. Easy access from I80. My only complaint is the Wi-Fi access you have to create an account and it will didn't work and the heater in our room literally sounds like a dryer running (will update front desk in the morning)

The walls are a little thin. We could hear most conversations of the people in the rooms next door.

The bed was horrible. The sheets didn’t fit the bed and they kept falling off.

Their phone line never works. You cannot call then for any details. The AC in the room is extremely loud. At check out when I went to front desk and tell them that, they don’t even care. They only say ok and “sorry about that”. Not even eye contact nor asking for more details. The hotel is also far away from everything, I don’t think they care about location either. Adding one more, their milk in breakfast is rotten. I am not sure how long they have kept the milk. Doubt they care either.

Nice new hotel a plus for Winnemucca.. Disappointed in king room it was size of closet and bathroom door would not stay open.. i was told there was a bathtub no tub . so very sad..

Wonderful. Very comfortable room. The accessibility tub & bathroom is one of the best we've had. Only problem during our stay was the door shutting. Door is heavy & was a bit tough for my wife to hold open while going in or out w/ the walker. Thanks!

Don’t accept a room next to the stairways. You’ll hear every foot fall up and down the stairs.

Room doors too, too heavy. No light light in bathroom.

Although newish (2022, I believe), this is probably the most poorly designed Marriott property that we have stayed in. When using the key card to open the door, the dead bolt extended and stayed there, In order to close the door after entering we had to use the key card again and hold the interior handle down to keep the deadbolt retracted then close the door. Automatic closure on entry door waaaay too powerful making it hard to manage with luggage, etc. Definitely a two person operation for us older folks. Room decor spartan to a fault. Bathroom sink cracked. Rack w/shampoo, etc mounted too high. Pump handles 5'4" above shower floor. How do you expect kids and short people to use? Whimpy shower head. You should explore High Sierra brand shower heads for excellent performance at 1.5 GPM. It took almost 5 minutes for shower water to get hot at 6:00 AM. No plug at coffee maker. Bathroom door swings wrong way, making entry in dark difficult. Since it swings out into hallway (which incidently blocked the hallway making access to the bathroom from the sleeping area very awkward) there is no reason why this shouldn't have been reversed. No clock of any sort in room. One of bedside light bulbs bad. Most of these issues are bad design.Marriott can and should do better

Hotel was impeccable like brand new with nice colors and finishes, extremely clean, etc…negatives were breakfast- artery clogging biscuits, gravy, sausages..and electricity went out twice while blow drying my hair - nice that panel was in room… next NO bath towels noticed after leaving shower- had to call but promptly came up and last- standard king room was super small.

First room toilet didn’t work. Then in the middle of the night, the heater noise was so loud, you couldn’t sleep. The staff was great though and put us in another room at 3:40am just to sleep. Heater this morning is quiet again but sure disrupted our night.

Love this location and property. 2nd time staying here in the past 10 days. Nice stopping point from the commute from Seattle-Vegas and return trip. Lobby is clean and inviting. Smells really good too. Staff has always been great. We get the king unit. Have had both standard king and king suit. Lots of room in king suite. However standard king is fine. As we aren’t there long and space isn’t a factor. Super comfy beds and linens. On site breakfast included an added bonus to not have to stop for breakfast when we leave. Nancy in the breakfast area works hard on keeping the area clean/stocked and very accommodating to guests. As well as the rest of the staff on site.

Very helpful and friendly staff- rooms were clean - sports bar next door had good food as well.

Had to wait about eight minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check in at 9 PM and then they were not too friendly

Friendly staff. Clean and inviting lobby/reception area. Parking area was adequate and felt safe. Our standard king room was clean well appointed. One thing that was annoying is the bathroom door seemed to open backwards. Weird setup for entry and exit near the hotel room door. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in at a hotel. Decent linens and the bed was neatly made with sheets well tucked corners like hospital corners! Quiet nights sleep too. Breakfast dining area was clean, and staff was constantly making sure tables and serving areas were serviced. Scrambled eggs, sausage links, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereals, waffles, coffee, tea, juice, milk for the breakfast that was included. Definitely would stay again.

I stayed with my two little girls and just before midnight an employee walked in waking us all up and scaring us so badly we hardly slept. When I call down to the office they Sainz “we knocked first”, at midnight! And then they promised a refund but I never got one. At first they offered to sign me up for their membership program they would give enough points to and continue to make excuses. Their most important job is to know what room is vacant. Plus the towels were stained. It was an awful experience.

the host was horrible

My cologne was stolen by the cleaning staff, and the one of my friend that was in another room was also stolen the same day. This is a systematic problem in this hotel. Watch out if you plan to stay in this hotel.

Great location to highway. New rooms. Very comfy.

Super easy to get on and off freeways. Great stop over while driving through... Nice to have a warm complimentary breakfast before hitting the road.

The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was good. There was plenty of parking. However, the location requires that you must drive to go anywhere, but other than that, everything was excellent.

probably the best spot between Reno and Elko to say. Feels very new/clan and staff were extremely nice. Room was quite and very clean. No complaints. Because it’s somewhat in the edge of town, views of desert were nice, no traffic or noise associated with staying in town.

On far end of town, no amenities near or within walking distance.

Fairfield Inn and Suites in Winnemucca is a solid choice for a comfortable stay. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located. It’s just a short walk to a decent restaurant, which was very convenient. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I’d definitely consider staying here again!

Clean quiet and close to the livestock arena. Smelled like money outside but was nice indoors.

Nice common area, good for families, felt safe. Easy access to area restaurants and stores.

Breakfast was pretty meager. Not much selection compared to their competitors.

Great place! Very clean, good breakfast, helpful staff

The staff was great especially the breakfast staff. The breakfast wasn’t up to our standards as we usually stay at Hampton inns and best western pluses. We’re used some sort of yogurt or egg options. The sausage was very good.

Shower needs redesigned. Soaps too high to reach and at wrong end of stall Breakfast was COLD, bland and very limited.

Terrible breakfast

The breakfast presentation was wonderful. I have quite a few dietary restrictions and was so happy to see there was gluten free options and milk alternative. Nancy went above and beyond and even heated up my husbands waffle. She was very friendly and accommodating. The night staff was also amazing and upgraded us to a suite because our fist time here, our room had a very noisy AC.

The breakfast is so limited, very disappointing for the price. And that's best case scenario. If they run out of something it's done, they're not restocking it. Strangest part of this stay is that we were waiting in the lobby alone for over 10 minutes waiting for the receptionist to come check us in.
