We had a wonderful week staying at Aldea Kuká. Staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The property is lovely. Food and cocktails are awesome. Definitely the nicest sun loungers out of all the properties along the beach. Love that you can easily walk into town and to all the restaurants. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back and stay again!

Nice looking hotel, great breakfast and the best sunbeds I saw in Holbox. Biggest drawback is noise. This is both for the rooms which don’t have noise isolation and the beach area due to the constant back and forth driving from the side by sides and fourwheelers, right by the sundbeds. The fact they where doing construction work with concrete demolition wasn’t great either and the reception handled that really poorly

Me gusta el estilo minimalista de las cabañas, ya que sin muchas amenidades ofrece una serie de actividades para poder relajarse, como una tina en tu habitación con sales de baño, cama súper cómoda, hamaca, entre otros. Ahora en cuanto a amenidades relajantes con costo están los masajes, que la verdad no consideré en mi estancia y que sí son bastante costosos, nada que una persona extranjera no pueda pagar sin problema. El desayuno incluído 10/10, hay bastantes platillos para elegir y es un salvavidas ya que todo en Holbox es carísimo y esto ya te ahorra un poco tu estancia, además de que mientras estés aquí no hace falta que compres agua, ya que el agua de la llave en la habitación es potable y muy refrescante. Ojo, el hotel por lo visto no es (adults only) ya que hubo niños por doquier y la piscina casi todo el tiempo estuvo ocupada por ellos, así que si buscan algo sólo para adultos, este no es el lugar. El área de playa estuvo excelente, los camastros son muy cómodos y ofrecen una vista muy buena al mar, lo malo es que sólo pueden usarse hasta las 7pm. Tuve con una vez en este hotel, fue para mí luna de miel, pero sí lo recomiendo ampliamente.

We had a great time at Aldea Kuka. It’s a really lovely hotel, it’s super relaxing and the staff were all so friendly. Our room was great and the location is fab. They gave us a lovely welcome Cocktail and dessert platter, which was delicious. They offer free yoga and Pilates classes every day, which is a really nice touch. It was very easy to book excursions and bikes through the reception. We walked into the town every night along the beach road and it was so nice to be able to wander to Mosquito beach in just 10 minutes. I thought the location was perfect and I’m glad we chose that end of the island instead of the other end. There were a few issues with the hotel. The soundproofing of the rooms is pretty much non-existent. You can hear your neighbours’ every move in the rooms above and either side. The other letdown was the food. While the breakfast menu was extensive, we didn’t think any were that good. The fruit plate you get each morning is nice. We had lunch on one of the days and that was ok but decided not to eat at the hotel again as there are many better options in town. Having said that, we didn’t try the sushi restaurant. We had guacamole one day and it was the most expensive guacamole we had on our entire trip (£16!) and nothing to write home about. Spa treatments are expensive. We thought for this type of luxury hotel it was missing the finer details (robes, slippers and maybe a few treats you usually get at 4/5 hotels) but would definitely stay again

¡Increíble hotel! Tiene un gusto exquisito en el diseño y la atención es de primera, en especial el capitán Israel y el mesero Luis. La alberca es espectacular, el lugar perfecto para disfrutar del atardecer, en mar literal enfrente con camas muy cómodas. La ubicación es inmejorable, ya que puedes llegar caminando tanto a Punta Mosquito como al centro. Sin duda, volvería a hospedarme aquí. ¡Muchas felicidades por el excelente servicio!

Had a great time at Aldea Kuka! For us, we loved that it was a 15 minute walk from the town core and was very quiet in the evenings. The room was a bit strange as it had no chairs or tables, even on the balcony, but there were large cushions that were comfortable to sit on. The music during the day was repetitive and WAY too loud, but we had some noise cancelling earbuds, so we were all good from that standpoint. Breakfast was outstanding, staff were VERY helpful and kind, and the gym is an awesome addition that we used every morning!

The service was wonderful at this property. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They went up and beyond to make sure we have a pleasant stay. Especially Orlando is such a gentleman and a problem solver. Him and Ignacio (nacho) our heroes. On our last day there was a state of emergency due to a high waves taking over the island. There were no means of transportation in the island. They did everything to protect us and make us feel safe and comfortable. They arranged all the transfers for us to make sure we make it to our flight. very grateful for this team, knowing so many people got stuck cause their hotel staff abandoned them. The free breakfast was pretty awesome. They provide freshly cut fruits, granola and yogurt as a starter and let yo choose and entre from the breakfast menu, fresh juices and coffee and it goes until 12pm. The pool is heated and The beach at this hotel is the best among the rest of island. It's exactly like in the pictures, turquoise color flat water looks like heaven. do not go during windy days then the ocean gets rough. The food at the hotel was average, I recommend eating out at downtown. There is a bit walking distance from downtown but it totally worth it to be right by that beach cause the shore near downtown is not nice. Even though it has a old rustic look the rooms and facilities are new, nice and very clean. There are yoga sessions 3 times a day everyday. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Amazing location, very nice hotel with the best beach we saw on all of Holbox. There biggest downfall is that they charge more than anyone for drinks and food on the Island. Would stay here again but will drink and eat elsewhere. One other thing if you have trouble with stairs get a ground level room as there are no elevators.

Room was immaculate, service great and beach is amazing. Luis stood out as an employee. Luis remembered our names, drinks and was just terrific. All staff were courteous and friendly. Always a chair available on the beach. We look forward to another stay at Alde Kuká!

DONT GO TO THIS HOTEL .Decided to stay here for a night. At check in, an hour after the standard time, the room wasn’t ready, they asked us to wait for 15 minutes which turned out to be 45. They give us a room which was in front of construction workers who could see inside of our room and made construction noises non stop. We asked to be moved to another room, they moved us to a room right next to the first one. At 4,50 am I went to the toilet and the toilet wasn’t working cause there wasn’t water in the wc. I go to the reception (5 am) there is no one there, completely closed and nobody around. I walk around the property at 5 am looking for someone to help me, I couldn’t find anyone. I went back to the room, couldn’t sleep and couldn’t use the toilet. A couple of hours later, around 8 am a loud banging noise begins and won’t go away for at least 1 hour. I go back to the reception, nobody goes to check on the noise, nobody says anything besides we are sorry for the inconvenience. I asked for a refund since I e couldn’t use the toilet and couldn’t sleep due to the noise and the lack of water. They offer a massage ! This hotel calls itself luxury but the only luxury part is the price, the people Working there at reception are useless and didn’t solve anything. The manager is useless and reception people are helpless. The only people working there and providing a good services are the restaurant and cleaning staff. A 700 dollar nightmare and a waste of money

Las habitaciones bonitas pero no limpias. Huelen a orines. El colchón y las almohadas no cómodas. Huelen a humedad. La regadera la encontramos con arena lo que supone que no fue bien limpiada. La secadora del pelo no funcionaba.

Nice hotel overall, but not truly 5-star. No elevator (we were on the third floor), and at checkout we had to carry our luggage ourselves due to no response from reception. The beach is beautiful, the pool is small and far, and housekeeping once arrived at 6 PM despite saying it’s until 4 PM. Food is tasty but expensive. Good for two nights longer stays get uncomfortable because of the sand and limited cleaning.

Muy buen lugar para hospedarse y pasar unos días de relajación. Lo único que no me encantó fue que al ser madera se escucha muy fuerte cualquier ruido que hagan otros huéspedes. Pero fuera de eso es un lugar tranquilo, camas y almohadas súper cómodas. Limpieza todos los días, te cambian toallas y sábanas. Personal amable.

The property was situated in an ideal spot on the beach, beautiful walking and views of the ocean. The hotel itself is well appointed and looked very picturesque. The downside was there was absolutely no noise buffering, every night and every morning sounded like a rugby match being played upstairs. ( as late as 11pm and early as 7 am) When I complained to the front desk on my 2nd morning and asked to switch rooms- they said they would talk to the room above mine and kinda just dismissed my issue. nothing changed, the rugby match continued . Also, on my first night, a giant cockroach was climbing down from the curtains, added stressor for sleep. The hotel also experienced frequent power outages.. I ended up leaving the property several days early because of the noise issues and only upon telling them I was checking out did they offer to give me a different room- but after four night of very little sleep and poor sleep at that, I would rather fly all the way home then take a chance on another room. While the staff were very friendly, it did little to alleviate my concerns. The restaurant food was subpar. For the prices they were charging, I would expect chips to be not soggy, cheese pizza to be somewhat edible, and at least some local dishes on the menu. This is a hotel for an American who wants an American experience and will eat swill with no complaint. There is no local flavor to be appreciated. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel is really nice, clean and accomadating and it was great to have breakfast included daily. The only negatives I would say is that you can hear everything through the floors, so bring ear plugs. Also, we booked this room for the amazing stone tub (hard to find in Quintana) and the hotel doesn’t have hot water. We thought it was just a problem with the water but we asked and no, they actually don’t have it and the weekend we were there was stormy and cold for august. That was disappointing to not be able to enjoy the bath. Would stay here again, but not for the tub :)

O espaço é muito bonito e confortável, e muito limpo também, toda a equipa é muito cuidadosa com a aparência e limpeza do espaço exterior. a praia é linda. O staff é simpático, pequeno almoço excelente. Os únicos contras são a falta de insonorizarão dos quartos, as paredes e tectos são papel, pelo que parece que os hóspedes vizinhos estão ao teu lado, ouve se absolutamente tudo. Contudo a partir das 10 pm não há muito barulho na rua, só se ouve mesmo os hóspedes, o que pôs si só não é bom. Água quente nunca tive nem no horário estipulado.

This resort is absolutely stunning. Extremely luxurious whilst also feeling natural and relaxed. Our room was spacious with a large outdoor area. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

Es un lindo hotel, limpio y da una sensación de tranquilidad, nosotros estuvimos 5 días, y el primer día todo excelente, hasta les enfundo día que se ocupó la habitación de arriba, por que todo el Ruido se escuchaba, si movían una silla, si caminaban, si subían las escaleras, nuestros vecinos llegaban muy tarde y todas las pláticas y risas nos despertaban y en la mañana madrugaban, y también escuchábamos todo, el ruido, es un gran problema por que no nos daba oportunidad de descansar como necesitábamos, escribimos a recepción (por qué la única forma de comunicarte es por WhatsApp) pero nadie atiende después de las 11pm, entonces no pudieron ayudarnos con el problema, y el día siguiente que lo reportamos en persona, tampoco pudieron apoyarnos, quizás se debe a algún tema de privacidad de cada habitación (la cual no existe para todos)

Room was clean, a bit sparse. No dresser, tv and no door on the bathroom- def something to keep in mind. Room faced the road and it was a bit loud early in the mornings. Resort itself is gorgeous, beach and pool- beautiful. No issues with hot water. Staff were all great. I didn’t love the food but husband thought it was good. Breakfast was great considering it was included. I would stay again and I would recommend it but a different room.

This is a beautiful hotel! The island is mainly boutique hotels and this was one of the best. The exterior was beautiful and clean. The pool was gorgeous and the restaurant staff waited on us in the pool. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Negative #1: the mattress was not comfortable at all. We even ordered extra comforters to pad the bed and that didn’t help much. I slept on the chaise the last night which was actually very comfortable. Negative #2: if you are on the bottom floor you can hear literally everything. Every step, every word, every pin drop. Because the floors are made of wood with seemingly not insulation all the extra noises echo. Although the interior of our room was beautifully crafted from all real wood the acoustics were unpleasant. Thankfully we had 3 nights with not upstairs neighbor but day 1 and day 5, not so pleasant. The restaurant food was delicious with fun entertainment. Staffed with Chef’s and obviously well trained culinary professionals, the hotel restaurant and sushi bar did not disappoint. The beach front was just past the gorgeous pool with white soft sand and clear blue waters. Even with the negative aspects I pointed out I would still highly recommend Aldea Kuka. Thank you for having us.

Everything was amazing, location, staff, amenities, food, etc. Except that in my room I could hear every movement and talk of the guest on the room above mine. I woke up because of the other guest alarm two days in a row.

This was our third time staying at this hotel. We have always loved it in the past but this time we booked a room with two beds because we had family traveling with us. The noise from upstairs was unbearable. We could hear the other occupants talking, screaming, moving furniture, and everything else. We would stay here again but not in one of these type of rooms.

Wunderschöne Anlage die sehr gepflegt ist vor allem Die Außenbereiche werden täglich sehr sorgfältig gereinigt! Sehr liebes Personal bis auf einen Herren an der Rezeption Mario. Uns wurde gleich zu Beginn diverse Wertgegenstände sowie Bargeld aus dem Zimmer gestohlen ( der Safe funktionierte am 1.tag noch nicht!) dies sollte natürlich generell nicht passieren und in einem Hotel dieser Klasse noch weniger. Wir wurden von Mario indirekt beschuldigt, selber schuld zu sein da wir ja die Sachen nicht im Safe hatten. Ich packe doch nicht jedes Wechselgeld, iPad Pencil etc. In den Safe! Das war sehr ärgerlich und ich hätte mir einen anderen Umgang gewünscht! Ansonsten war es sehr schön alles ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet das Frühstück ist sehr lecker:) Wünschenswert wäre noch die Möglichkeit, Trinkwasser am Strand zur Verfügung zu haben. Immer Mineralwasser zu bestellen wird auf Dauer etwas teuer. Zimmer sind leider extrem hellhörig man sollte versuchen nicht im Untersten Stockwerk zu sein - teilweise dachte ich die Leute laufen durch unser Zimmer …

My family and I spent the entire week at Hotel Aldea Kuká, and I can say without a doubt that it’s one of the places where we’ve experienced the kindest and most attentive service of any hotel we’ve ever stayed in. At reception, Mitch, Gladys, and Abigaíl; and in the restaurants, Eduardo, Israel, and Mike—all of them were truly dedicated to making us feel seen, welcome, and cared for. I believe Holbox is a paradise. The beaches, the sandbars, the crystal-clear water, and the fact that you can walk hundreds of meters into the sea without the water rising above your knees—it’s honestly hard to put into words. The hotel is beautiful and well-maintained. The beds are comfortable, and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. The food is excellent in all the restaurants, and the pool is also a lovely space where you can easily spend long stretches of time. In short: the hotel is stunning, the location is divine, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. They genuinely go out of their way to make you happy, and if something goes wrong, they make sure to fix it immediately. We were truly happy in Holbox, and that was largely thanks to the team at Hotel Aldea Kuká. Highly recommended.

The service was terrible. They were rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional. All hotels, start with good customer service. They have potential because the property and beaches are beautiful. They need to change how things are run. It’s obvious that the management is the problem. Or lack of. Secure knocked on our door one night, or I should say pounded, and told us we were not allowed to talk in our room. Never had an experience like that. He made us feel unsafe and threatened in our presidential suite. Unacceptable!! Any other hotel will have better service than this one!

Nice hotel overall, but not truly 5-star. No elevator (we were on the third floor), and at checkout we had to carry our luggage ourselves due to no response from reception. The beach is beautiful, the pool is small and far, and housekeeping once arrived at 6 PM despite saying it’s until 4 PM. Food is tasty but expensive. Good for two nights longer stays get uncomfortable because of the sand and limited cleaning.

I booked this hotel for my parents and the following is their review: “Very nice structure, but terrible service. Conclusion: Avoid this hotel, as on the island, there are plenty of better opportunities. We spent 2 nights in this hotel and had several issues with the way they attend to the clients: we booked a tour, but they canceled it 15 minutes before the start, leaving us without options and losing one day out of three. We had breakfast included, but it starts late (8:00). We asked to have breakfast at 7:45, as the tours start at 8:00, and they asked us to pay the full price because it was out of the planned time (a scam). While we were enjoying the beach, they sent us away because of a private event. They have a small number of sunbeds, but they let people occupy them even if they stay away for several hours (resulting in several clients occupying them early in the morning and then going around the island). In addition to all this, the rooms are not properly designed, and you can hear any noise coming from other rooms or from the traffic outside (impossible to sleep without earplugs). As partial compensation, they gave us a 3-hour complementary late check-out, but it was definitely not enough for all the problems they've created.”

The service was wonderful at this property. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They went up and beyond to make sure we have a pleasant stay. Especially Orlando is such a gentleman and a problem solver. Him and Ignacio (nacho) our heroes. On our last day there was a state of emergency due to a high waves taking over the island. There were no means of transportation in the island. They did everything to protect us and make us feel safe and comfortable. They arranged all the transfers for us to make sure we make it to our flight. very grateful for this team, knowing so many people got stuck cause their hotel staff abandoned them. The free breakfast was pretty awesome. They provide freshly cut fruits, granola and yogurt as a starter and let yo choose and entre from the breakfast menu, fresh juices and coffee and it goes until 12pm. The pool is heated and The beach at this hotel is the best among the rest of island. It's exactly like in the pictures, turquoise color flat water looks like heaven. do not go during windy days then the ocean gets rough. The food at the hotel was average, I recommend eating out at downtown. There is a bit walking distance from downtown but it totally worth it to be right by that beach cause the shore near downtown is not nice. Even though it has a old rustic look the rooms and facilities are new, nice and very clean. There are yoga sessions 3 times a day everyday. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Disappointing Experience During Our Honeymoon We recently stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon, and our experience was far from what we had envisioned. The hotel is extremely noisy, especially if you find yourself allocated a room near the front entrance. The constant traffic from golf carts driving by late at night, coupled with loud music, made it nearly impossible to get a restful night’s sleep. Even when we moved to a room at the back of the hotel, we encountered the same issue; the thin walls allowed us to hear everything which was quite disruptive. The situation took a serious turn when we discovered that approximately £450 of our money had gone missing. We reported this alarming theft to the manager, who assured us that he would review the CCTV footage. However, the communication barrier proved to be a significant challenge, as the manager, Fernandez, had limited English skills. This led to further frustration, as we had to rely on front desk staff to interpret our concerns. Initially, we had requested an upgrade to make our honeymoon more special, but our request was denied. Ironically, after the theft incident, the manager offered us an upgrade as a gesture of goodwill. This felt insincere, especially since he acknowledged that thefts had occurred at the hotel before. Overall, we were deeply disappointed. The lack of security, combined with the noise and communication issues, overshadowed what was meant to be a joyful occasion. We will be filing a complaint.

The most beautiful hotel and beach, that we have ever visited. Great overall service in reception (we changed rooms, better view, and some construction work got stopped after we mentioned the noise). The staff was increadible friendly and very helpsome. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was very nice. Only two things were not ok. We had booked the christmas dinner on the hotel (it was double in prize compared to other nice restaurants and the food was not great, main cource especially). The other thing was a feeling, that the hotel was very keen on making money. You saw it in the small things. No water was put in hotelroom, only 4 nespresso tabs for a 10 night stay (100 pesos for aditionals). We broke a drinking glas in the room and was asked to pay for it (which we refused and reception ended up saying ok, but not a good experience). But overall a fantastic hotel og the most beautiful beach, that we have ever seen.

We had a great time at Aldea Kuka. It’s a really lovely hotel, it’s super relaxing and the staff were all so friendly. Our room was great and the location is fab. They gave us a lovely welcome Cocktail and dessert platter, which was delicious. They offer free yoga and Pilates classes every day, which is a really nice touch. It was very easy to book excursions and bikes through the reception. We walked into the town every night along the beach road and it was so nice to be able to wander to Mosquito beach in just 10 minutes. I thought the location was perfect and I’m glad we chose that end of the island instead of the other end. There were a few issues with the hotel. The soundproofing of the rooms is pretty much non-existent. You can hear your neighbours’ every move in the rooms above and either side. The other letdown was the food. While the breakfast menu was extensive, we didn’t think any were that good. The fruit plate you get each morning is nice. We had lunch on one of the days and that was ok but decided not to eat at the hotel again as there are many better options in town. Having said that, we didn’t try the sushi restaurant. We had guacamole one day and it was the most expensive guacamole we had on our entire trip (£16!) and nothing to write home about. Spa treatments are expensive. We thought for this type of luxury hotel it was missing the finer details (robes, slippers and maybe a few treats you usually get at 4/5 hotels) but would definitely stay again

¡Increíble hotel! Tiene un gusto exquisito en el diseño y la atención es de primera, en especial el capitán Israel y el mesero Luis. La alberca es espectacular, el lugar perfecto para disfrutar del atardecer, en mar literal enfrente con camas muy cómodas. La ubicación es inmejorable, ya que puedes llegar caminando tanto a Punta Mosquito como al centro. Sin duda, volvería a hospedarme aquí. ¡Muchas felicidades por el excelente servicio!

A wonderful 4 night stay, the staff were all so lovely and helpful. Hotel is beautiful, quiet but a 15min walk to the town. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon. My only feedback would not too charge extra for a cappuccino for breakfast, things like that go a long way.

Amazing location, very nice hotel with the best beach we saw on all of Holbox. There biggest downfall is that they charge more than anyone for drinks and food on the Island. Would stay here again but will drink and eat elsewhere. One other thing if you have trouble with stairs get a ground level room as there are no elevators.

Beautiful hotel, we loved being a bit further down the beach from town, giving us beautiful walks each day. Staff were really friendly, the rooms were large and had everything you needed

Great location on the beach front; relaxing pool area (music rather loud), nice wooden architecture, rooms in excellent condition. Breakfast without varieties, service appears sometimes unmotivated; Asian restaurant offers rather average sushi. Great base to explore the Island, but eat out.

Aldea Kuka is an absolutely incredible hotel that exceeded all my expectations. The location is perfect, right on the beachfront, offering stunning views and easy access to the sea. The service was exceptional—every staff member was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The accommodations are beautifully designed, very comfortable, and create a relaxing atmosphere that blends perfectly with the natural surroundings. One of the highlights is the variety of dining options. The bar, restaurant, and sushi bar are all top-notch, offering high-quality food and drinks that delighted us every time. The facility is very nice. Staff is extremely friendly. Some rules such as no outside beer allowed on the beach when 3/4 of the selection offered was unavailable! Seems extreme. We order al lobster pizza prices at 1026 pesos assuming it’s a nice place it should be good…. Was disgusting, frozen crust and gross disappointed with that for sure.

Fantastic spot up the beach from the hussle of town. Perfect beach front with lovely staff, great food and the right mix of entertainment. Would stay again
