Our room was very nicely decorated in a Chinese motif. After a 6 hour drive, the last thing I wanted to do is haul our luggage up three flights of stairs (a fact that should have been disclosed)

The owners were very friendly. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated and were neat and clean. The shower door did not like to stay closed though and another screened window would have been nice. Parking was easy to access and close. The breakfast was tasty but a little too much sweet. The coffee was great and the dining and common areas were lovely. It is a lovely old house with antique furnishings in a quiet area that is an easy and close walk to downtown. We had a great stay!

It was all good with the hospitality of the hosts and it is a beautiful home. but we got there after dark and in having to park behind the house where there is a long driveway to get to the front entry, it is not lite at all. This is an easy fix, but instead is a situation for an accident waiting to happen. That said, we would go there again, just need to be careful.

Pangea House is an amazing place! Tranquil, relaxing, comfortable, elegant, and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The grounds are lovely (including a fire pit and a view of the river!) and the neighbourhood is safe, pretty, and walkable. Pangea House is located right near the downtown, just a short walk over a quaint bridge over the river. We loved the common areas of the house - library, games room, cozy front porch and a parlor. The hosts are wonderful people - kind and helpful and welcoming. And the breakfasts are yummy. Highly recommended and exceeded all expectations. We are definitely going back!

We had a great stay at Pangea House. Such a beautiful property and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We had the best breakfast of our whole stay in Canada here! (And that’s saying something, as we stayed in quite a few hotels during our trip). The room was decorated nicely (we stayed in the Africa room). We were only a short walk from town and the restaurants and shops. We’d recommend the Maple Leaf restaurant for a unique Czech dining experience. The only things I would note to future guests are to be aware there’s no lift and quite a lot of stairs if you are on the top floor. I’m sure you can request ahead of your stay to be on a lower floor if needed. Also, the air conditioning unit in our room was a bit dated and very noisy, so possibly needs updating. This wouldn’t put us off staying here again though, we had a great time! :)

A lovely and unique bed & breakfast, with very welcoming hosts Jody and Geoff. The rooms are all different and the house is grand with seating areas in the garden. The home cooked breakfasts by chef Geoff are different every day and we’re all delicious. Recommended.

Fantastic hosts! I highly recommended booking this hotel/ B&B. The owners are friendly, the food was incredible and the property was very well cared for. The location is walking distance to everything: restaurants, shops, water/harbour and the local theatre. Thank you Jody & Geoff for a memorable weekend.

This waterfront house was elegant and spacious, in a lovely part of town. The room was clean and functional. The owners were very friendly and breakfast was delicious. The sound of the water cascading over the dam was a very nice plus.

We would definitely book this accommodation again and can definitely recommend it! The house is very nicely renovated and there are many common rooms downstairs that can be used. We stayed in the Asia Room: the room is very large, there could be more storage space. The entire accommodation was really very clean and we felt very comfortable. The only small "drawback" was that there was no fixed heating in our room, but only an electric heater (whoch also headted everything up, although it was a small device). Jeff prepared an incredibly delicious two course vegetarian breakfast every morning for all guests. Very varied, healthy and just incredibly tasty! A great base to start the day and explore the 1000 Island region. For guests wanting to explore this region be sure to book within the season - in October the lookout tower and Bolt Castle (two of the biggest attractions in the region) close. However, there are great hiking trails, boat tours run year round, and if you're not afraid of heights, you can walk across the 1000 Island Bridge and enjoy the views.

Had a great stay at Pangea House - Geoff and Jody were so welcoming, breakfast was delicious and the bed was super comfy! Short walk into the town centre where there were quite a few places to eat. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!

This is a beautiful home with spacious rooms, both for your own personal use but also in the common areas. The Owners of the property are extremely personable and make a genuine effort to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Our room was quiet and the bed extremely comfortable - we heard nothing from other rooms or from the outside throughout the night. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding and everything, including the tea was served hot.
This is a beautiful home with spacious rooms, both for your own personal use but also in the common areas. The Owners of the property are extremely personable and make a genuine effort to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay at Pangea House. Geoff and Jody were excellent hosts and provided tips on things to do and wonderful breakfasts. The bed in the Arctic room was extremely comfortable and had luxurious bedding. The location is within walking distance of the main street and scenic. We would highly recommend staying here!

The house was so cozy and comfortable. We used some of the extra rooms. The breakfast was outstanding. I was disappointed in the bed. Not the greatest, IMO.

We stayed here for two nights because we wanted to do the Thousand Islands cruise. We had booked the ‘Africa’ room because it had a separate sitting area where we could relax. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was served downstairs and it was delicious. Thank you to the owners who are the hosts for making your house available for visitors to the beautiful Thousand Islands.
We stayed here for two nights because we wanted to do the Thousand Islands cruise. We had booked the ‘Africa’ room because it had a separate sitting area where we could relax. Beautiful old home with the typical squeaky floor boards. Lots of areas to sit and relax or play a game but room was cramped with little space for luggage. If going for a weekend it would be fine but we were travelling for over a week. No offer to open doors when trying to move luggage out.

Fantastic hosts! I highly recommended booking this hotel/ B&B. The owners are friendly, the food was incredible and the property was very well cared for. The location is walking distance to everything: restaurants, shops, water/harbour and the local theatre. Thank you Jody & Geoff for a memorable weekend.

The owners were very friendly. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated and were neat and clean. The shower door did not like to stay closed though and another screened window would have been nice. Parking was easy to access and close. The breakfast was tasty but a little too much sweet. The coffee was great and the dining and common areas were lovely. It is a lovely old house with antique furnishings in a quiet area that is an easy and close walk to downtown. We had a great stay!

Had a great stay at Pangea House - Geoff and Jody were so welcoming, breakfast was delicious and the bed was super comfy! Short walk into the town centre where there were quite a few places to eat. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!

Wonderful comfortable period home in a great location in the 1000 Islands. Jody and Geoff were fantastic hosts who went out of their way to make our visit memorable. Chef Geoff made fantastic and varied breakfasts each day and his 5 course dinner is not to be missed.

We were greeted upon our arrival at Pangea House and given a tour of the home. The hosts were very friendly and we can not say enough about how great our experience was. The meals were presented by Geoff with a complete description of the preparation of each dish. It was evident that he took great pride in his preparing of the meals. We stayed in the "Asia Room" and the themed room was exceptional. The rooms in this home offered a glimpse of earlier days. Jody gave us a brief history of Pangea House. We can not forget to mention her charming manner and willingness to ensure that all of our requests were met. We would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a premium experience.

My husband & I stayed here for a weekend getaway, and we are so happy to have found this gem! The historic property is beautiful and Jody & Geoff were wonderful and warm hosts. Breakfast was fantastic. We had the most amazing 5-course dinner prepared by Geoff, which we cannot rave about enough. He is an amazing chef! Location was within walking distance to downtown, which had some cute shops and restaurants as well. Was just a half-hour drive to Boldt Castle in New York, which we also enjoyed for a nice day trip. Would highly recommended staying here!

We loved staying at Pangea. The location is great for walking around Gananoque. It is especially close to Riva Restaurant, which I highly recommend. Jeff is a wonderful chef and will adjust your breakfast to meet dietary needs. Jody is super friendly and happy to sit and chat at breakfast. Gananoque is a charming town.

Pangea House is an amazing place! Tranquil, relaxing, comfortable, elegant, and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The grounds are lovely (including a fire pit and a view of the river!) and the neighbourhood is safe, pretty, and walkable. Pangea House is located right near the downtown, just a short walk over a quaint bridge over the river. We loved the common areas of the house - library, games room, cozy front porch and a parlor. The hosts are wonderful people - kind and helpful and welcoming. And the breakfasts are yummy. Highly recommended and exceeded all expectations. We are definitely going back!

We had a lovely stay. The bed and breakfast is ideally located in a quiet neighbourhood yet easily within a 5 minute walk to some lovely shops and restaurants. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly too. Highly recommend.

This waterfront house was elegant and spacious, in a lovely part of town. The room was clean and functional. The owners were very friendly and breakfast was delicious. The sound of the water cascading over the dam was a very nice plus.

We had a terrific 5-course dinner prepared by the co-owner, a former Toronto chef. I particularly enjoyed that he came out before each course to tell us a bit about it. Also, the dinner was BYOB so we were able to bring a nice bottle of wine -- no corkage! Oh, and the best sticky toffee pudding I've ever had!

Jody and Geoff are wonderful hosts. Very welcoming. Geoff will cook you up a very special breakfast and you could also ask for his winning chef's dinner. This historic house is on the Ganonoque River, a short walk to downtown pubs, restaurants and shops.

Lovely property and setting. Very welcoming host. Very nice breakfast. Only shotfalls were very minor - things that may not have been considered unless one had actually stayed in the rooms. E,g. Over sink in bathroom a small (maybe glass) shelf under mirror to place toothbrushes, paste, makeup, deodorant type things would have been appreciated. A cup holder and glass, for those of us who take meds. Also, we who read to go to sleep at night would be grateful for a headboard and a small night table with a lamp on either side of the bed, Certainly these small suggestions would not deter us from returning in the future or recommending Pangea to our traveling friends. Just extras that traveller's much as ourselves notice.
