Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort & Hotel Spa

This hotel is a resort around a neighbourhood of the same. About a 20min walk to the Strip, which is Albufeira’s party area. The pool and beach areas were great. Check was noon for us but they allowed us access to all amenities until we left around 4pm. Free parking. It was a great relaxing break in our vacation full of exploration and excursions.

The resort is located on a beautiful strip of beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The free shuttle into the new and old town was really great. Breakfast was delicious, value for money and lots of choice.

Beach at the Hotel was amazing. But prices at the different Outlets are quite expensive. And the food is not on a 5 star level. You have in the off season only 2 fix times using the indoor pool. Outside this times you have to pay 20 Eur/Person/hour. That is not acceptable.

Exceptionally beautiful and well-run hotel. We stayed in a self-catering villa and it's certainly the best hotel we've stayed at for these rates per night (and preferable to having bed and breakfast at a lesser hotel). Fantastic beach and location. The only negative being the rather rusty and dated equipment in the gym. Overall, highly recommended.

Wasn’t impressed with having to pay to use gym. The property offers things. But for a price. Prices were overpriced when you could go into town and get this for a 1/4 of the rate. Children galore. They should have an adults only pool.

1 indoor and 2 outdoor pools PLUS the beautiful beach and ocean!

This is not a five-star property. The spa facilities were under construction and the pool, steam rooms, sauna were all unavailable, very disappointing because the pools were packed with young children and the hotel has no adults only pool. The food quality and service in the restaurants was good, but hard to enjoy a meal before 9pm with so many screaming children. The hotel should have disclosed the spa under structuring. We did not use the beach facilities as there were so many people. Luckily, we found some day activities so we didn’t have to stay around this hotel too much.

Terrible. The price includes nothing. We were turned away from an empty restaurant because we did not have a reservation we never thought we would need to make in April. Each day we went down to the beach located directly on the resort and we’re denied chairs!! Everything closed at 6. Since the resort is about 15 min from downtown we felt uncomfortable venturing in alone and the shuttle service ended at 5. I would not recommend this hotel. The beach is gorgeous but you can’t get a chair from the hotel without extra cost. Terrible communication, would NOT recommend!

Petite escapade avec mon petit garçon de 8 ans. Très agréable Hôtel 5*, avec kids club, piscine intérieur ( à réserver dés votre arrivée) et accès direct à la plage et parking gratuit. Personnel souriant et accueillant. Point négatif : le buffet du petit déjeuner décevant pour un 5*. Jus de fruits industriel, charcuterie et fromage non réfrigéré ( mauvais aspect et peur d'une intoxication), pas pain et de viennoiserie sans gluten, pas de produits laitiers sans lactose. Toutes la viennoisserie et gâteaux tous industrielles.

This is an amazing property! Great beach and pool areas. I assume it gets really crowded in July and August. June the crowds were manageable. All restaurants and bars were good. Easy ride into Old Town Family friendly with kids areas and pizza restaurant option. Good for grandparents also, although a lot of walking if you want yo get down to beach. Know that beach chairs and umbrellas aren't included. Extra charge. No extra charge for pool area. Night Club wasn't opening until July Highly recommend

We stayed in a 2 bed apt with small kitchen and garden view - everything was decent but very average upkeep; the property is dated as are the amenities; staff are friendly but on a number of occasions were confused with how to do their jobs efficiently.

The location, the staff and manager were wonderful and they did what they could to make a bad situation better. What happened was ... a cockroach (4 inches) was found in my bathroom. I understand bugs are everywhere but it had never happened to us before. Note: The hotel seemed clean to me and we never saw any more. For our troubles we were moved to a smaller newer roome with a better view and then moved back to the same size room we'd had previously. We were also given a bottle of wine with cheese. Frankly I expected more.

We did see some small ant like insects in the room near the balcony doors..

The staff was very welcoming. The hotel landscape is gorgeous and clean. Our room was spacious but had a mildew smell. It was clean and functional for our needs. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting the area.

Wir waren bereits 2018 + 2019 da, nach Corona wollten wir es nochmal wissen. Es war enttäuschend, im Hotel wurden Bar und Restaurant umgebaut. Ein neues Restaurant mit keinem einzigen einheimischen Menu und schlechtem Service. Die Bar bietet auch nicht mehr viel Auswahl. An der Poolbar, gibt es ebenfalls nur noch wenig Auswahl und die Preise dafür wurden mehr als verdoppelt, für die gleichen wässrigen Getränke versteht sich. Anstatt das Geld in ein neues Restaurantkonzept zu investieren, gäbe es so einiges anderes zu machen. Im Poolbereich stolperten regelmässig Leute, da die Latten schon so kaputt sind, eine gefährliche Stelle wurde gar mit Pylon gekennzeichnet. Viele Liegestühle sind defekt. Im Hotelzimmer, schaute im Bad einfach eine Schraube aus dem Boden, war wohl mal der Türstopper. Das Bad hatte Schimmel in den Fugen und allgemein waren die Möbel sehr abgenutzt oder gar defekt. Sauber war es leider auch nicht. Für Fitness oder Spa muss extra bezahlt werden, für mich nicht einem 5 Sterne Hotel würdig. Am letzten Tag ging unser Flug spät, weshalb wir den Pool noch geniessen wollten. Früher durften wir einmal in einem Zimmer und einmal im Spa duschen. Nun hiess es wir sollen die Duschen am Pool nutzen, nicht sehr gästefreundlich. Bisher waren wir sehr gerne da, aber das war leider unser letztes Mal, kann es leider nicht mehr weiter empfehlen.

Very happy with my stay. Friendly staff,the hotel was spotless. I would say the food and drinks were a little on the expensive side. But i would happily stay there again.

Ran down property. Room was dirty and in need of updates. Not organized well. Lack communication as far as offerings, charges, etc. Definitely a 2-3 star hotel. Location is good, but the beach is over crowded with public access.

Overall was great. Only thing is the furniture could be updated.

Nice hotel with friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Could use some upgrades and some things not in service, including tennis courts and tv smart connection. Overall the property could use some upgrades including the gym and the bathrooms. Views of ocean were excellent.

We booked a comfort double sea view room and were ever glad we did! What a view. The room was renovated and looked beautiful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom did not get renovated and was dated. It really didn’t go with the room but the view solved any doubts we had. The breakfast was excellent. Location was phenomenal and did I mention the view? We used Bolt to get to around in addition to walking You definitely stay here again.

We chose this resort to celebrate my birthday with friends and it was a fantastic choice. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa which had plenty of space and was perfect for us - the pictures are very accurate. It was a short walk to the main building, and then further to the beach, but the property is well maintained so it always felt like a pleasant stroll. The staff were all very friendly, housekeeping was very responsive when we needed anything, and the hotel even arranged for a very thoughtful recognition on my birthday - an unexpected surprise and very well received! I would be happy to stay here again.

Hotel and location was great. Plenty of staff who were very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast outstanding. Room spacious and beds comfortable. Only drawback was there is hardly any wifi in our room that was on the 2nd floor. We could only get 1 bar and that would drop off after a few seconds. A small area downstairs in the lobby and the bar was the only place for internet connection. Consequently people who were there to work took up all that area. That is our only complaint.

Place was great, only minor complaint was that room was by kids pool which was a liuttl noisy during the day.

The Jr suite was very large and plenty of room. The staff was very friendly and the food was fantastic. We never got the temperature controls to work so we were either too hot or too cold. They did attempt to fix but since we were there only two nights we just suffered through it. The couch in the room had stains and the place was a little worn. I think it is more a 3.5-4 star place.

Great location with a great view and access to the beach. The hotel is a little dated, but in a good condition. Perfect place to chill during the off season. Good breakfast.

Fantastisk ophold! Hotellet er af lidt ældre dato, men virkelig kvalitet - men vores hotelværelse var helt nyrenoveret og wauw hvor var det lækkert og flot lavet! Vi havde havudsigt og det har så skønt. Stranden er flot, og alt er dejligt nemt til. Maden har virkelig lækker, noget af det bedste vi har fået på hoteller her i Portugal. Vi vil meget gerne komme igen en anden gang.

Room was great. The hotel itself was a big disappointment. Very outdated and not well maintained facilities. Pools are tiny but clean. Charged to use beach chairs which was ridiculous at the nightly rate we paid. Tons of seaweed on the beach - no clean up by staff. Slow front desk, not friendly. Wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

We stayed two nights at the Grande Real. It was okay but not amazing in my opinion. I felt the staff was not as friendly and accommodating as I am used to when staying at resorts. Some staff members were annoyed with our general questions and requests. This included desk staff and restaurant staff. The restaurants were inconsistent, not having food items we were told they would have - and a lot of it was sub par food and really expensive. Everything also closes pretty early so at night we felt the resort was pretty dead. Beach area was nice and pretty, but pools were small and bombarded by families with kids. We enjoyed ourselves more outside of the resort truthfully and would likely do a different option if we returned to Albufeira.

Very quiet, lovely hotel for great value, food options not the greatest but it was out of season so understandable, staff all very friendly and accommodating. Would absolutely visit again but probably in season. We loved our visit to Portugal and found all locals very friendly.

There were multiple added charges, 14 euro to "rent" a beach chair? Isn't it an expectation to sit on the beach when traveling to a beach resort? Also wanted to charge for the indoor pool use... Yet when we asked for our complimentary water to be delivered (yes, we had to ask) because they did not leave it during the day, we got that's not my department twice. Finally got it, but it seems there was always someone to collect the added fees, but not when you needed the complementary!

For a resort of this caliber I expected to have access to an umbrella without paying a large sum every day and not have availability sometimes. I also would have liked to have a cocktail bar at the beach instead of having to walk up to the pool to get a drink. The breakfast was great, the other restaurants were ok. We were given a free drink voucher upon arrival and tried to use it several times and several different bars/restaurants and were either told we couldn't or were told we could not get the beverage we requested (a basic cocktail). Some staff were very helpful, others were slightly rude.

Was looking for good resorts near al bufeira but didn’t want to spend too much money on cause I didn’t had much time to enjoy resort but area, when I found this hotel which offers 2 bed rooms suite with unbelievable price tag immediately I booked. It worked out very well checked in mid night didn’t took long when we get to our villa it was three bedrooms which was too big for us, with kitchen and stuff free water bottles and some fruits which was nice, huge resort they do offer buffet breakfast I think 20euro pp. didn’t get much time to enjoy resort as we had only two nights stay but if I m back in beautiful faro then def gonna stay here beach front was good free parking indoor outdoor.

1-Staff were rude and unhelpful; they were annoyed about our questions and in one occasion snapped at my friend. 2-We booked a couple of tours with them. They made mistakes with the times and we were about to miss our tour. 3-They also took the money for the tour in cash and didn't mention on the receipt that we paid and we got into trouble with the tour company. 4-We had to stay in line to enter the breakfast room. Cooked breakfast items were very oily and the fruits were not fresh. Sometimes the orange juice was fresh and other times it was from a box. 5-There was nowhere to get water without having to pay. 6-The cash machine charged a lot. It charged €3.95 for a €50 withdrawal. 7-At the beginning they gave us a room classified as sea-view, however it was on the ground floor and didn't really have any view. We managed to change the room after the first night. 8-The air condition in the second room was not working for one night.

Excellent beach front property. Situated on a stunning beach Friendly staff and excellent food. Bit out on its own. A 15 minute walk to the first bars.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff are very attentive. Direct access to the beach. Breakfast is super. The hotel is a bit remote but they do provide a free shuttle bus service to the town.

The hotel was fine but had a weird smell. I didn’t like the area at all. Felt very touristy and not the vibe we were after.

Beautiful location and an excellent hotel to relax and enjoy surrounding area. Accomodation was exccellent and enjoyed an excellent breakfast every morning.

It was way over priced , limited places to eat on property and very expensive for the food they did have !! Qualify of food very average . Beach and views are Great!! Grounds are very good shape ! Rooms a little beat up especially if they are calling themselves a five star ! Stayed at better alinclusive with better food included 4 stars in Mexico!

Hotel is marketing itself as a 5 star resort.I have never seen in any hotel but this a 40-45 min queue to the breakfast room.Unbelievable,this was due to staff dispositioning,but it should never happen in any hotel. Pool area nice.Some of the restaurants way overpriced.

Beachfront location that can’t be beat. Dinner at the beachside Atlantico restaurant was one of our best. Hotel is very nice but the staff seemed tired after the summer crowds
