We had an incredible stay for my sister’s wedding. Our room was clean, beautiful, and quiet. The pool and hot tub were clean and so much fun. The staff was helpful, accommodating, and wonderful to be around.

We live this hotel. I only wish they had a bigger Hottub. Too many people in there after a ski day.

Love this hotel, clean rooms, new furniture and modern design. Beautiful view cause it’s located right next to the mountains. It’s far enough from the city to enjoy peace and quiet atmosphere, and convenient enough to drive out to different scenic locations and mountain peaks. Parking is free and always available. One thing I didn’t like is that the bar is closing early at 10PM and you can order dinner only between 5 and 8PM. However they do offer nice breakfast selection 7:30 to 9:30AM and there’s a few restaurants in minutes of walking. Definitely recommend staying here.

I did not have any meals. The pool and hot tub are closed due to construction which was unexpected, I was n ot informed until arrival. Some outdoor area for the guests would have been nice

Everything was amazing except the look warm hot tub. It seems ridiculous that it would cap out at 99 degrees in the spring in Utah.

This is a great facility and fairly brand new. Area seems to be upscale. It’s about 20 mins from downtown. No EV chargers nearby for those of you wondering. Would be a perfect place to stay if visiting Utah for snow activities.

The location is great! Rooms were really clean with all the essentials. The mini frig and microwave were a plus. There is a coffee shop within walking distance that is amazing called Alpha Coffee. Get the breakfast burrito or egg and sausage croissant sandwich! There is also a 7-11 nearby that is open late. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful! Our flight was delayed so we didn’t arrive until 3am. The front desk staff helped check us in at 3am with ease. I would stay here again!

Yes, clean rooms and friendly staff

First off, I paid more for a king room. When I arrived they gave me a double, I asked if I could get the room I upgraded to and they said basically through Expedia they just give you a room they have left, and they were all booked for the night. Second, I slept terribly walls are pretty thin and there were people running up and down halls both nights. I travel a fair amount and this was by far the noisiest hotel i've been in. Last, I can tell they don't vacuum the carpet. How do I know that, I cut my foot on a glass shard that was on the carpet.

Room was very clean. Had everything we needed. Great location. Staff very nice.

Gorgeous location at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Minimal visibility of staff making it difficult to address issues at front desk and to order at bar. Inside and outside tables dirty - never saw staff cleaning these areas. Had to get new room keys made daily - stay said they were changing how they programmed their keys. Was inconvenient for us. I do not recall having to pay $15.00/night to park at a Courtyard in the past.

This is one of the cleanest properties I have stayed at!

Had a great stay in the state of Utah. Hotel was a pivotal factor: clean room, quiet with friendly staff and close enough to everything I needed. Also, I have to mention great views from my room and outside roof top patio. Very calming and relaxed atmosphere.

This property is in a nice location. However, upon arrival, the room was clean, but the cleaning towel was left there by the maid. No big deal, we set it aside and it was fine. The room never got cool enough to sleep comfortably. We were on the west side of the building on the second floor, and with the huge windows and the evening sun, that probably made it difficult to cool off. The bed was a bit firmer than I would care for, and my hubby thought it was great. The pillows were the standard Marriott pillows, which are too poofy for either of us. I guess we are picky with our sleep system,m but hey, who isn't? We slept and woke up to head out on some medical errands and come back to the hotel while waiting until we got a call. When we arrived back at the hotel that morning at 10 AM, our belongings were in the maid's laundry bin, and our room had been remade for the next clients. We had asked for a late check out the night before and the regular check out time is at noon so it is concerning that the maid assumed that we had left when we hadn't. The manager, Heather, took care of us and gave us a refund for 20% of our bill. She was very kind and hospitable. In the 20+ years that I have been a travel consultant and online social media content creator, I have never experienced something like this before. It was very frustrating and not something I'd expect from a Marriott. One more thing is that there is a $20 charge for parking. I didn't see it listed on Expedia. Heads up!

The property was like new, and the room was nice and spacious (standard King). Free parking easy and accessible on site and REALLY close to mountains/ski runs. A few good restaurants closeby. The hot tub was definitely a perk after long days of hiking.

Very beautiful property, lucked out on the room placement and only complaint is that the shower was very slippery.

Hotel was excellent for the price. The only things I would not are the shower design can cause water to get on the floor easily and the TV and bed are not aligned correctly.

The bed was not a king size - it was closer to a standard queen size bed, we actually measured it. We called down and they said they’ve gotten other guests saying the same but did not seem apologetic or offer any remediation (especially since you could tell the hotel was not at full capacity). We also got a room nearby the elevator and it was quite noisy. The best thing about this hotel was the housekeeping, who did a fantastic job cleaning. The front desk is mediocre at best. The tall woman working in the evening was not very friendly and was quite short when spoken to. Also, the receipt I received via email after my stay was blank. No idea why that would occur. In terms of location; There are two restaurants (not opened during the day) and a coffee shop but the location isn’t great for proximity to the city and/or airport. Otherwise, look for other options as you’ll end up paying more in rental car fees or uber if you stay here.

What a lovely place! My room was large and fully accommodated all my needs. I loved the shower and the generous amount of towels!!! I had a corner room on the main floor. It was awesome!!!Brenda at the Front Desk was terrific. She went way above and beyond to accommodate my requests with consideration!!! She is an asset!!

The hotel was excellent, the issue I had was with the person at the front desk. I booked a room and wanted to add a night the day before my reservation. I had booked a double queen room originally so I called, was told that there was a double queen room available the additional night I wanted, despite not being able to see one online, and was told if I booked a king room through Expedia it would save me a little money and when I checked in they’d put us in a double queen. I even called back a second time to confirm this was correct and was assured that I’d be put in a double queen room both nights and it would be the same room to prevent us from having the hassle of checking out and back in. When I arrived to check in, the employee that eventually came to the front desk was wearing a yellow Champion crew neck shirt, not a uniform, and didn’t look like she even worked at the hotel. I explained to her that I had called about an hour before and spoken to her about adding a day to my reservation and she proceeded to tell me that it wasn’t her that I spoke with and that only king rooms were available and that the next day I’d have to check out by 11am and couldn’t check into my other room until 3pm. This was the situation I was trying to avoid and she kept saying she didn’t know why someone would have told me that. When I asked to cancel she said I wouldn’t be refunded. Since she advised me into a situation I couldn’t get out of, I’ll be calling corporate with a formal complaint.

Excellent! Loved our check in experience! The young woman was friendly kind and professional. Exceptional grooming and knowledgeable.

Check in was at 3:00. But when we arrived at 3:30 no rooms were available. That was a bit of a inconvenience due to we wanted to get ready for the wine festival at 5. So for this I can not give it a 5 rating.

We had a wonderful stay at Courtyard Salt Lake City Cottonwood. The rooms were spotless, modern, and very comfortable. The location is perfect—close to the mountains, downtown, and lots of great dining options in the area. The Porcupine (our favourite) and 8 Settlers restaurants were recommended by hotel staff, and did not disappoint! The pool area was relaxing and well-maintained. Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options and the made to order items were a nice bonus. Saturn at the breakfast bar —was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations with its clean facilities, great amenities, and especially its amazing staff. I’ll definitely be staying here again when I’m in Salt Lake City.

Facility was clean, and well kept. my only issue was the front desk staff member when I walked in. I stood waiting for her, could hear her talking to someone else in the office, no biggie, cleared my throat so they would know I was at the desk as there is no bell or anyway to let someone know you are there. A few minutes she pokes her head out, then comes out to check me in. Not a hello, not a oh sorry I didn't see you, nothing. Coldly asks how she can help me. Checks me in, the minimum effort across the board. You are the face of the business, be cheerful, be warm, be polite, these are free things.

This was our third time staying there. We thought we liked it but after we checked out we realized we had left 4 days of our favorite clothes in the room closet. We called the front desk about 5 hours after we left. They said they didn't find our clothes. They said there was a new guest in the room so they couldn't go in and look for our clothes. I called 9 times over the next 2 days to see if they found our clothes, they did not! The front desk and manager didn't seem to care that someone stole our clothes totaling about $700.00. Also, the 3 days that we stayed in the hotel, the lights were out in the parking garage. We were not told the garage lights were out so we had to use our cell phones to find our way to the elevator just to find out that the elevator wasn't working. Then we still had to find our way out of the garage in the dark. These issues didn't seem to matter to anyone working at the property. I do not recommend staying at this property in Cottonwood Heights, Utah.

We have friends in Salt Lake and also Sandy. This hotel is the perfect in between. I can hop on 215 and be in SLC in 15 minutes. And I can jump on Wasatch and be in Pepperwood in less than 15. It's quiet, clean, and reasonably priced.

A modern, clean, great-looking hotel close to the nearby ski areas. We enjoyed the ski-themed decor, heated pool, and the two restaurants "next door". The staff was super nice and professional.

Nice new hotel. Very convenient for both Big & Little Cottonwood Canyons. Breakfast is EXTREMELY limited. Small amount of food, not a “skier’s breakfast, expensive ($20 for a small cooked breakfast & medium Americano), not much choice and service was quite slow. I’ve 3 decent places within walking distance for dinner: The Porcupine pub, 8 settlers distillery and Saola.

Beautiful location. Great staff especially the baristas at the Bistro - Saturn and Imari were such a positive memory of our stay there. They were kind and welcoming and made the best coffees. Breakfast was wonderful too.

Limited late night food

The hotel is good ! House keeping every other day , coffee shop very week customer service. I paid for 2 bagels with cream cheese so he /she gave me 1 bagel with cream cheese I came back to ask he /she said sorry all bagel frozen Not even bother to return my money or sorry

I stayed here for a week trip of snowboarding on nearby slopes. The location was excellent as I was able to get to all the mountains easily. I had originally attempted to upgrade my room, shortly after booking it, but was not allowed to do so. While my room met my needs, comfortably, it was disappointing that breakfast offering was purchase only and not an included as a benefit of staying here.

The website says there will be free breakfast and there is not. In addition, the cafe hours where you can buy food on site were not actually staffed the whole time. Frustrating when there are little food options in the nearby area.
