Awesome stay! Super convenient location to the woolen mills and Blarney Castle (you can walk!). On-site restaurant Christys was really good and convenient so we didn’t have to go into Cork City Center. Also very nice that they offered a small discount at the woolen mills to hotel residents! One of the most comfortable stays of our whole 2 week trip.

We were excited to spend time at Blarney Woollen Mills because of its close proximity to the Blarney Castle and Gardens and because I had visited on a bus trip and wasn’t able to learn about the Mill or spend much time in the area. We learned lots about this family-run Mill and the importance to the Blarney community. The service and staff were exceptionally kind, which made up for some quirky things that others would likely not tolerate.m. The gym was in deplorable shape, weights strewn everywhere and looks like it has been vacant for years and no one has cleaned it in decades. The rooms were renovated and clean but the bathrooms were in need of a renovation. The wifi was spotty and the lack of room service meant you had to walk to the restaurant outside of the hotel to get a drink and then escort it to your room. The staff were so lovely and helpful that we left feeling taken care of but the overall feeling is that they need more staff and resources to return the hotel to its former glory.

This hotel is in a very good location and nice to say in however the hotel lacks in facilities for its guests nothing happens in the hotel the bar area the christie’s bar is only a restaurant they don’t stock a lot of Choice when it closed there is nothing else to do at the hotel it feels like they just want you to go to your room and not bother them even when you have breakfast in the morning it’s not a pleasant experience as you have to go into the large cafe that is for the bus loads of people that arrive to visit the castle near by you have to go to the furthest point in the café be seated and everything I ask the server to order me from the menu the response was “I don’t think we can do that as we only have a microwave on the frying pan” not the servers fault it’s the hotel not having a good Focus on its guests

Fabulous hotel! The staff were lovely, the room was clean and comfortable, and the communal areas were just beautiful. The decor was stunning! Breakfast was incredible, and having the pub right next door was very handy - we had dinner and checked out the jazz band. Easy drive into Cork and 5 mins walk to Blarney Castle, so location is very good. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough!

Very cozy hotel. Wonderful high tea. Christy’s pub next door is excellent. For location, you’re right next door to the Blarney Wool Mill and a one-minute walk from Blarney Castle and gardens. We drove. Lots of cars and buses but no problem finding a spot. Love. Love. Love this place. So peaceful and beautiful in autumn as the ivy covered buildings change colour.

Great property. Very clean and accommodating. The attached restaurant had great food and it’s in the center of town and everything is more-or-less walkable. Within walking distance of Blarney Castle. Didn’t get to try the breakfast/cafeteria style dining, but it looked busy.

The hotel is an absolutely beautiful building, the comfortable, stylish, opulent entrance/reception area is gorgeous. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. Loved the artwork throughout the hotel. My room was very clean with quality bed linen and comfortable bed, the ensuite was well equipped and although the shower over the bath seemed dated l was grateful for the bath after a long journey. No bar fridge or wine glasses in room which coming from Australia would be standard. Tea/coffee/Water and delicious biscuits provided. Breakfast selection was very good and available until 11 or 12 am which is great. The only (slight) letdown was the very young service staff at breakfast, their inexperience was obvious, more guidance could easily fix this. Unfortunately l think it’s too late to say the same for the rude male bartender at Christie’s. Loved the huge Irish shop on sight. Overall the hotel is great value and l wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it or to stay there again.

The bed was like sleeping on a box spring, so incredibly uncomfortable. And there was even a note that this was a new bed! There was also a fan right above the shower with a hole about 5 inches wide that looks right into an upstairs room of some sort. It was really creepy. However, staff was friendly and their recommendation of eating at Christy’s pub was much appreciated as it was one of the best meals we had in the country with excellent service.

The rooms were very small however a real king sized bed was nice. But the bed was hard and the walls are very thin. Our snoring neighbour kept us up for hours. Also couldn’t get Netflix to work and you need to give your email address to access wifi. Hope I’m not going to get spammed by them now.

Checked in very late and the night porter was very good. The room and bed were clean and spacious. TV, free water, tea and kettle were all good. There was some sort of vent outside my window (room 208) that was noisy and made sleeping difficult. The pillows were very uncomfortable also I found. Late checkout at 12 was a good plus as was late Sunday breakfast. The food quality was ok. Coffee was terrible I thought. Overall for the cost of room I wouldn’t see myself staying here again unless absolutely necessary.

Hotel.com nous indique avoir essayé de modifier la réservation auprès de l’hôtel, sans succés. Nous avons contacté l’hôtel qui n’a pas souhaité/pu modifier notre réservation, même avec un supplément et alors même que la chambre est disponible à nos dates. Nous avons donc payé une nuit dans un hôtel sans pouvoir y aller. Nous mettons donc cet avis sur le caractère peu commercial des interlocuteurs que nous avons eus (aussi bien chez hotel.com qu’à l’hôtel). Nous déconseillons donc cet hôtel à moins de ne pas avoir besoin de modifier votre séjour. Nous ne recommandons bien évidemment pas non plus l’application hotel.com qui manque de fiabilité et de service après-vente. Cette réservation était notre dernière sur cette application.

We stayed here as part of our road trip around Ireland, and what an experience it was! From the moment we arrived, everything felt spectacular. The landscaped entrance is stunning, parking was easy, and the reception area immediately set the tone with its warm ambience. With olde-world charm and quirky displays, there was so much to take in—we didn’t know where to look first! Our room, while on the smaller side, had almost everything we needed, though an extraction fan in the bathroom would have been a welcome addition. Dinner at Christy’s Bar was absolutely delicious, and the wait staff were brilliant—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Breakfast the next morning was equally nourishing, with plenty of choice to start the day well. And of course, no visit would be complete without exploring the Woollen Mills shopping—what a fantastic variety, perfect for browsing (and buying). Overall, a truly memorable stay in a beautiful and unique setting. We would happily return and highly recommend it to others visiting Blarney.

Both the check-in girl and check-out girl had horrible attitudes. Very unwelcoming and went out of their way not to be helpful. Location is fine to see the wool history but after that 30min there’s nothing else around. The tv’s had access to the internet but they refuse to share the internet for the tv with guests even though it is a smart tv with a smart report so you’re stuck watching 5 basic channels. Room was extremely small compared to photos. I even asked about upgrading (willing to pay for it obviously) and front desk girl says “your room is good enough”. When getting ready to head out my husband asked for a bottle of water to go bc they gave them for free in the rooms and she said uh you can buy one in the store. With the most rude facial expression. He said oh we received them to our room all day yesterday. She said yeah I don’t do that. Well thanks we won’t be back or recommending to anyone visiting Ireland.

Got a reservation same night at this place, after a long day at a hospital with my dad. The lady at the front desk was SO FRIENDLY, and give me a quick brief history of the hotel, along with went above and beyond to make sure that I could care for my dad with two separate rooms. It was wonderful with an elevator, lots of beautiful designs in the front reception, and very fresh rooms. Close to literally everything, I had one of the most amazing burgers at the bar downstairs, and then we were able to watch the Blarney Castle and gardens, just a 5-minute walk away, well taking advantage of the free parking! This was one of the highlights of our trip, so I highly recommend it to others.

Front desk was too busy to acknowledge guests. Bad customer service…not friendly. Room was burning hot. A small fan rattled al night. The bathroom was sweating with heat. No washcloths. One positive was the lady working at breakfast. She was kind and breakfast was ok. Not recommended.

Two of our three nights here were at the weekend. We should have anticipated this and maybe stayed elsewhere, but on Saturday and Sunday, well into the evenings, the Woollen Mill Shopping Complex (as opposed to the hotel) was very busy and noisy, with parking needing a hunt until a space was found, often a fair way from the hotel's entrance. However, otherwise the location and suroundings are idyllic. Monday, all day, was quiet and bliss, which made a huge difference to te ambience. Our room was spacious enough, adequately equipped and comfortable. Though with no air-con and only a small window that opened, in merely warm weather it became rather stuffy. A supplied desk fan mitigated this to some extent. The inclusive breakfast, whilst not as comprehensive as other hotels on our tour, was adequate and tasty, but the service was slow. We think this is not the fault of the staff, who couldn't be more helpful, but just not enough staff.

Lovely hotel clean and modern. Good breakfast with friend quick service. Not great checkin told restaurant was open to 2130 so didn't get a meal on route. Arrived at 2100 and restaurant closed. Overal would stay there again.

This hotel was just overall excellent. Though ranked a 3 star hotel, it reall is much more. Check in was friendly and efficient. Our room was so spacious and warm. The bathroom has everything you needed, but it was a bit dated, I'll admit. Breakfast was brilliant. Big choice of cooked breakfasts and served to your table. Big choice of fresh fruits, cereals and breads. So tasty. But the gems of this hotel are the staff. Friendly, courteous and professional. Nothing was too much for them to assist you. We will be back

❤️Friendly check-in, comfortable beds, fans really help with air circulation in the room, best parking in Ireland, proximity to everything, great restaurants and shopping, could happily stay for an extended vacation. 💔 Showers are awkward and take almost 10 minutes to heat up, breakfast service needs attention and an attitude adjustment, customers were ignored, avoid Eggs Benedict in The Loom…it’s horrible.
