We had a beautiful large room at the hotel. It was beautifully decorated and so spacious. The breakfast was delicious.

DON'T DO IT. JUST DON'T. So I was booked to stay here several days, and left after 1 night. That should be enough said, but to be precise about the problems, they are as follows: (1) There's no climate control. So there's no AC, but also, each room has ONLY an A4 (8x10ish) sized single window pane that opens, so it's not possible to cool the room AT ALL. (2) bed is old and extremely uncomfortable (3) Room size is uncomfortably small- like New York sized hotel room small. Only you're in ummmmmm Blarney. (4) There are no light blocking window treatments so it's super bright (5) The WiFi is unusable; 1-2 Mbps down, 1 mbps up- I measured it. Which means you can't stream ANYTHING. (6) The TV is so ancient, it has no HDMI in and (obviously) isn't a smart TV so you definitely can't cast or watch anything together (7) I think the location is actually rather inconvenient- for much less money, you could just stay in or near Cork and have access to all its amenities. The common areas are nice looking, but I have to presume that you're not staying on the sofa at reception. No issues with the staff, who are pleasant and helpful.

Ridiculously hot in the room. Two electric fans were left in the room (to blow hot air around?)but the old style windows barely open and little breeze (on a reasonably breezy day) could get in to cool the room. The breakfast was good though and parking was plentiful. Didnt use the amenities.

Blarney woolen mills hotel is a very quaint little hotel. Just a short walk to the castle. The town is v cute. Quite a few restaurants in town. The woolen mills shop is great. A large selection of woolens. All in all, I would highly recommend the place.

This is a beautiful hotel with antique furnishings and picturesque rooms from the lobby to the individual rooms. And you can’t beat the location for access to multiple food options, shopping at attached mill store and walking distance to Blarney Castle. Well worth the trip.
