Beautiful Setting, But Domes of Corfu Falls Short for Families with Older Children The Domes of Corfu is a stunning hotel set in an ideal beachfront location, but its focus on families with very young children makes it a less appealing option for families like mine with older kids. Here’s my honest take: Highlights: \t•\tStunning design: The architecture and overall design are truly impressive. \t•\tBeautiful rooms: Stylish and comfortable, great for relaxing. \t•\tFriendly staff: Welcoming and attentive throughout the stay. \t•\tLovely beach: Warm, clear waters in front of the hotel with Blue Flag certification—a definite plus. Areas for Improvement: \t•\tRepetitive food: Breakfasts were monotonous, and we found ourselves heading elsewhere in the evening for more variety. \t•\tSmall, untidy bathrooms: Cramped for two people and in need of better cleaning, with limescale and grime. \t•\tLimited storage: A couple of drawers and a small IKEA-style wardrobe made it difficult to unpack properly. \t•\tNoise disturbances: A nearby beach club blasts music from 6 pm, and early morning noise starts around 7:30 am, making relaxation difficult. \t•\tUnclean sunbeds: Visible stains and wear made the sunbeds unappealing. \t•\tCrowded beach: By midday, the beach was overrun with umbrellas and Bedouin-style tents, making it feel cramped. \t•\tFamily-centric atmosphere: The resort was teeming with young children, which felt overwhelming for those with older kids like my 13-year-old son. \t•\tHousekeeping issue

Sehr stylisch eingerichtetes Hotel, schöne Kosmetik im Bad, sehr gutes Essen morgens und abends, nettes Hotel-Team, toller Strand in einer hübsch gelegenen Bucht, zwei Pools, schön begrüntes großes Gelände, Bars mit Meerblick… was will man mehr.

Die Lage und Architektur sind top. Das Hotel liegt am Ende einer wenig befahrenen Straße direkt in einer kleinen Bucht. Der Strand ist ein reiner Sandstrand, es geht sanft ins glasklare Meer. Die Außenanlage ist schön, die Pools auch, nur gibt es keinen Service für die Liegen, man muss die selbst zusammensammeln, Handtücher suchen, weil fast überall die immer aus sind und wenn Gäste weg sind, liegen deren Hinterlassenschaften noch eine Weile rum. Das Essen in allen Restaurants und auch am Buffet ist sehr gut (wobei die Auswahl in den Restaurants für Vegetarier unzeitgemäß gering ist)und die Preise sind sehr moderat. Die Weinauswahl ist leider wenig international und wenig beeindruckend. Was nicht passt, ist der Service. Am ersten Tag bekamen wir erst das Essen, nach einer Weile und nur auf Nachfrage das Besteck und als wir fast fertig waren die Getränke. Der Service ist auch hinsichtlich housekeeping einem 5-Sterne-Haus nicht würdig. Die Zimmer sind am untersten Ende der Größe was ich in einem neueren 5-Sterne-Haus erlebt habe und was gar nicht geht ist, dass man krumm und eingeengt in der Badewanne duschen muss. Und auch hier wieder der Service - es wird damit geworben, dass es Zimmer mit Badewanne oder Dusche gibt - ich bat frühzeitig um eines mit Dusche, hat leider niemanden interessiert. Abends in der Bar arbeitet eine fleißige und aufmerksame Mitarbeiterin alleine, so dass es zu Wartezeiten kommt, obwohl sie sich sehr bemüht.

The Glyfada Hotel building is modern and well laid out with good facilities (air con. lifts etc) and leading onto the lovely Glyfada Beach, Because of the design of the reception area, it is stiflingly hot in hot weather and when vehicles are arriving outside so noisy that you cannot hear the reception staff speaking. The cleanliness of the poolside grassy areas lets the hotel down as does the Adult Pool area ( tired and in need of modernisation ) and the gym and yoga facilities (both inadequate).

Our stay at Domes of Corfu was truly exceptional. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and impeccably clean. We were fortunate to have a corner room with an amazing view, which made our stay even more special. The food options on the property were all fantastic, offering a variety of delicious choices. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, clearly passionate about their work. While the resort is popular with families with small children, we appreciated the quiet, adult-only pool by the spa and fitness center, providing a peaceful retreat. Overall, Domes of Corfu offers a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury, making it an ideal destination.

One of the Elevators was off for 36 hours.. Too many children!! And not enough sunbeds in the adults pool area.. Music outdated in the lounge and around the hotel in general. Nice touch with the outdoor the theater night.

It’s not clean at all. The cleaner didn’t even wipe the bathroom floor and kept on forgetting to refill the towels. The sun bed were so dirty. Everyday we had to wipe it ourselves. Many parts of the resort were broken for example the toilet flushing buttons and the toilet locks on many floors of the common toilets.

I stayed at this wonderful hotel with my sister. The staff are very courteous and friendly. We had booked half board. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. There were always different variations, especially in the evening. The quality of the bar was also a 10/10. It's located right by the sea, which is just fantastic. There are also sun loungers available that are exclusively for hotel guests. If you want a party vacation, you won't find it here. But it is 100% recommended for relaxing. I felt very comfortable and would come back at any time.

No other Hotel in Corfu pretending to be 5* compares to the Domes of Corfu! If you stay here you won’t be disappointed, it’s magical from the moment you arrive, new, modern, spotless, just perfect. The staff are so lovely and it really is the small things like putting the heating on in our complimentary upgraded room so that when we arrived in the night it’s warm and cosy, the chocolate bunny Easter egg and candles and the gift they gave us when we left and a complimentary late checkout 😌. They just consider everything and really think about what you might need without even asking. Yes it is further from the airport but who cares! It’s only 20mins! You have everything you need right there and a fantastic beach with views of the mountains, a beach restaurant, bar and just a lovely vibe that I haven’t felt anywhere else. We loved our stay so much and have not stopped talking about the hotel since we left.

I will start with cons: -Hygiene is not at five stars level.1.When we arrived we were invited to sit and had welcome drink while waiting for our check in. The table which they sited us at was dirty. Then we went to the beach restaurant and so was the table there. I wrote this as a comment for check in experience and since this moment all the tables in all restaurants were cleaned. 2.The room cleanliness is not what it should be: the windows were dirty, the big mirror in the room was dirty, I wrote on it “clean me” and in a week during our stay nobody noticed. Go to room 424 and look at the mirror, I can bet that my message is still there. The mirror in the bathroom was the same story, they didn’t clean it at all. 3.Nobody cleaned the terrace, the ashtray was emptied on the third day of our arrival. 4.The housekeepers did not clean the floor, only made the bed and clean the sink. 5.All the surfaces in the room were covered with dust. -The room: the room was not big and was painted in dark colours, so it looked smaller. There was no mosquitos net and nowhere to hang wet swimming suites. Pros:1.The hotel is located on a beautiful sandy beach.2.The staff is kind, helpful and the service is good.3.The food is delicious, with big variety.4.The beach is quiet, the sun beds are very comfortable, the sea water is clean and is shallow far out at sea. When swimming guests can see fish all around. 5.The hotel’s garden is beautiful and well kept. 6.The breakfast is til 11:30!

Leider keine Möglichkeiten, um außerhalb des Hotels etwas zu unternehmen - während das Freizeitangebot auf der Hotelanlage ebenfalls sehr begrenzt war. Das Speiseangebot ist nicht groß und mit hohen zusätzlichen Kosten verbunden. Am Pool waren die Liegen täglich morgens bereits besetzt, sodass man nur die Möglichkeit hatte, an den Strand zu gehen. Während unseres Aufenthaltes wurde der Feuermelder drei mal ausgelöst (Fehlalarm). Die Dusche war leider extrem laut, die Müllabfuhr hat um Mitternacht den Müll geholt, weswegen eine ruhige Nacht nicht möglich war. Die Sauberkeit war gegeben und das Personal meist hilfsbereit.

Only pro about the hotel is the beach apart from that stay away from this place. Rooms are noisy impossible to sleep, we had to change our room.

The main issue was the food- which other reviewers mention as well. The main restaurant is a buffet- which we do not love. The buffet food was okay and there were lots of kids (there is an adult seating section- thankfully). It's really hard to get reservations in the other restaurants on property- you have to call 4+ days in advance, and we were not there in high season. I can't imagine high season. I wish the hotel were more guest-centered in their approach- they put it on us that we hadn't made reservations 4 days in advance- but we were only there for 2 days.... I think they should re-think that to be more guest-centric. There are some wonderful places in Pelekas to try- but you have to drive 10-15 minutes. If you are okay with buffets or off property dining- this place is perfect.

Though we were lucky enough to be given a beautiful updated suite (purely by accident, as we only requested a regular room), some visitors complained of the rather poor conditions of their rooms on the 1st floor (units looked “tired”): chipped paint, torn bed sheet, stained or old toss pillows, tired-looking sofa bed/couch. Not sure they mentioned all this to hotel management. They expected nicer, newer-looking accommodations for the cost of their rooms. We were incredibly lucky in getting a beautiful updated suite purely by accident.

Unfortunately the hotel is nowhere near a 5* establishment, lacks standards and consistency. The rooms are not at all worth the price they get you pay. Rooms at tiny even at Suite level but the worst is the bathroom which is the tiniest I have ever seen and where you need to close the door to move. The room need a serious renovation if they want to keep charging the price they do as they are VERY old or badly maintained.The cleanliness is also a BIG no. Service is extremely slow at the restaurants and bar. Overall they need to review quite a few things before charging what they do as this is a 4* hotel

Excellent hotel - wonderful junior suite - overall good value for money

The staff were lovely , very friendly and did their best to assist where they could. The rooms are a big let down , definitely not 5 star. Very small and pokey , bathroom basic and dated … could barely walk around the end of the bed … small balcony sea view but overlooking a building flat roof ! Food 6/10 …. The hotel has very pleasant public spaces but there is a lack of attention to detail a 4 star hotel at best .

Our family of five (kids aged 13, 12, 9) had a wonderful time at Domes Corfu. We enjoy travel and have stayed at many 5 star properties in USA and in Europe and loved our experience at Domes. Staff were warm, thoughtful and helpful, and we especially appreciate Nicholas and Thalia’s knowledge. We found the Sapphire three bedroom to be perfect room for our family and appreciated the Haute Living options included in our stay. Comfortable beds and great AC led to excellent nights sleep. The location of the hotel on the calm bay in Glyfada was perfect. Highly recommend especially for families!

We didn’t plan an itinerary in Corfu. We had been to other Greek islands and had a general idea what we wanted to do. Nicholas at Guest Services went above and beyond to organize excursions for us. The highlight was a private 3 hour boat tour of the west coast. We had the best time and really appreciated the thoughtfulness and attention to detail on every aspect of our trip. Domes was gorgeous and was easy accessible to glyfada beach.

Direkter Strandzugang mit tollem Sandstrand. Schöne Einrichtung und sehr guter Zustand. Der Ort ist etwas abgelegen, wenn man sich außerhalb des Hotels bewegen will, braucht man ein Auto. Service teilweise sehr langsam und Preis-Leistung der Bars/Restaurant nicht das Beste.

We found the Sapphire three bedroom to be perfect room for our family and appreciated the Haute Living options included in our stay. Comfortable beds and great AC led to excellent nights sleep. The location of the hotel on the calm bay in Glyfada was perfect. Highly recommend especially for families!

The property is located on a beautiful beach with great views. It is a 20 to 30 minute car ride to the old town. The hotel is very nice, however, would choose to stay somewhere else in the future for the cost that is charged.

Beautiful Setting, But Domes of Corfu Falls Short for Families with Older Children The Domes of Corfu is a stunning hotel set in an ideal beachfront location, but its focus on families with very young children makes it a less appealing option for families like mine with older kids. Here’s my honest take: Highlights: \t•\tStunning design: The architecture and overall design are truly impressive. \t•\tBeautiful rooms: Stylish and comfortable, great for relaxing. \t•\tFriendly staff: Welcoming and attentive throughout the stay. \t•\tLovely beach: Warm, clear waters in front of the hotel with Blue Flag certification—a definite plus. Areas for Improvement: \t•\tRepetitive food: Breakfasts were monotonous, and we found ourselves heading elsewhere in the evening for more variety. \t•\tSmall, untidy bathrooms: Cramped for two people and in need of better cleaning, with limescale and grime. \t•\tLimited storage: A couple of drawers and a small IKEA-style wardrobe made it difficult to unpack properly. \t•\tNoise disturbances: A nearby beach club blasts music from 6 pm, and early morning noise starts around 7:30 am, making relaxation difficult. \t•\tUnclean sunbeds: Visible stains and wear made the sunbeds unappealing. \t•\tCrowded beach: By midday, the beach was overrun with umbrellas and Bedouin-style tents, making it feel cramped. \t•\tFamily-centric atmosphere: The resort was teeming with young children, which felt overwhelming for those with older kids like my 13-year-old son. \t•\tHousekeeping issue

Dome is beautiful- it's on a quiet, lovely beach with lovely views. The property is gorgeous. They upgraded our room- so it was large with a balcony overlooking the water (thank you, Domes!). The main issue was the food- which other reviewers mention as well. The main restaurant is a buffet- which we do not love. The buffet food was okay and there were lots of kids (there is an adult seating section- thankfully). It's really hard to get reservations in the other restaurants on property- you have to call 4+ days in advance, and we were not there in high season. I can't imagine high season. I wish the hotel were more guest-centered in their approach- they put it on us that we hadn't made reservations 4 days in advance- but we were only there for 2 days.... I think they should re-think that to be more guest-centric. There are some wonderful places in Pelekas to try- but you have to drive 10-15 minutes. If you are okay with buffets or off property dining- this place is perfect.

Sehr stylisch eingerichtetes Hotel, schöne Kosmetik im Bad, sehr gutes Essen morgens und abends, nettes Hotel-Team, toller Strand in einer hübsch gelegenen Bucht, zwei Pools, schön begrüntes großes Gelände, Bars mit Meerblick… was will man mehr.

Great stay, super experience at check in. Really nice location, gym etc.. however seems like dinner and breakfast buffet was above capacity.. too crowded and seemed to many people for dining area incl service.

Stunning beach and pool facilities. Dirty plate left out side out room for 24hrs. Reception unable to get us into any of the hotel restaurants (in May!!) for dinner so can only imagine that it must be a nightmare over the summer months and you’d have to book your dinner reservations weeks in advance of your stay. Staff all super friendly and helpful.

Our stay at Domes of Corfu was truly exceptional. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and impeccably clean. We were fortunate to have a corner room with an amazing view, which made our stay even more special. The food options on the property were all fantastic, offering a variety of delicious choices. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, clearly passionate about their work. While the resort is popular with families with small children, we appreciated the quiet, adult-only pool by the spa and fitness center, providing a peaceful retreat. Overall, Domes of Corfu offers a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury, making it an ideal destination.

I stayed at this wonderful hotel with my sister. The staff are very courteous and friendly. We had booked half board. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. There were always different variations, especially in the evening. The quality of the bar was also a 10/10. It's located right by the sea, which is just fantastic. There are also sun loungers available that are exclusively for hotel guests. If you want a party vacation, you won't find it here. But it is 100% recommended for relaxing. I felt very comfortable and would come back at any time.

Direkter Strandzugang mit tollem Sandstrand. Schöne Einrichtung und sehr guter Zustand. Der Ort ist etwas abgelegen, wenn man sich außerhalb des Hotels bewegen will, braucht man ein Auto. Service teilweise sehr langsam und Preis-Leistung der Bars/Restaurant nicht das Beste.
