This is very close to Bon Echo Provincial Park and that is why I chose it. I stayed one night so I could get an early start in the park. There is a gas station and convivence store opposite the property. Parking lot does need to be repaved, that is an upgrade the property should undertake. It is a rural area so keep that in mind. It has a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Their restaurant is only open on certain days, and that is true of the entire area. I brought my own food and made it in the room. Otherwise I would have had to travel far for food that was available. So just keep that in mind when planning. It was a good nights sleep.

Must be new owners. Has improved tremendously. Rooms have been redone and very clean. New toilets and sink. Parking at front should be repaved. Back of building is very dark if you need to park there.

Absolutely loved staying here with my kids and toddler. Great staff, great restaurant, great rooms and amenities. We've already booked a follow up visit for next year!

It has a nice bar with live music that could no be heard from the rooms. There was no room service during our three days stay, so we have to make-up our beds. Not big deal to arrange our own beds, however, for the price I paid, I would expect a higher service level.

Hotel just changed hands and is now under new management....so things might change. The rooms are a good size, all newly renovated. Unfortunately, the plumbing is less than stellar. Showers have no pressure and hence the stream of water is small/powerless to none existent. The restaurant is at the moment closed. But there is a a Country Style across the street serving all the necessities. The staff is extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. The firepit in the back of the building is a huge plus....loved it! And the location is unbeatable, 10min from Bon Echo

My friend and I were staying in Cloyne so we could go kayaking in the area. The Inn may look a little dated but the rooms are very clean and appear to be updated. The hotel was very quiet and the beds very comfortable. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful.

Staff had a very difficult time checking us in, and were seemingly having the same difficulty with a party checking in after us. We left immediately after entering the room and deciding it wasn’t a place we felt comfortable staying. We had no cell service, and all of the businesses in the area including this establishment seemed to be suffering lack of internet as well. There was no soap in the bathroom; the tv did not seem to be working; there were bugs on the drapes and the floor in the room… true to policy the hotel refused to offer even partial refund - disappointing.

Lakeside Inn is a quiet property, not on the lake vut located close to Bon Echo. Rooms are basic but have been recently updated and our room was very clean. Bed was comfortable enough, a/c in room noisy but efficient. Mini fridge and microwave as well in our room was nice feature. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good place for a night or 2!

Stayed for a fundraiser. The room was disgusting and dated. The furniture looked like it came from the side of the road. The bathroom was not cleaned properly and tub was full of rust. The licking systems for the rooms is sketchy and we were licked out many times. The staff that was running the bar ripped people off for their change when purchasing a drink. The restaurant is a entire other story. Cook was smoking didn't wash hands before going to the kitchen. Thw food was horrendous.. bavon vheese omelets were a paper thin egg spead out with a kraft cheese slice tucked inside. No bacon but charged for it.. absolutely disgusting wish I took picks. Avoid all restaurants in this area unless you want to get sick.

The beds were ok, and the shower was clean. I was very disgusted with the dirty spotted floors. I thought maybe the dark spots on the floor were hard to remove tar or stains. I took a cloth with jyst water and was able to remove a spot. Its lack if effort to get down and scrub. Same in the halways.

Lisa was a wonderful host this week during my stay at the Lakeside Inn. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of the area. My room was renovated and had all the essentials after a long day of work. I had a wonderful home cooked meal at the restaurant and really enjoyed seeing the friendly cats outside and great conversations on the patio! 5 stars for Lisa and her team, they make the motel a home away from home!

Our room was clean but the A/C was quite noisy. The restaurant had a limited menu (compared to their website) and it closes at 7:00pm on Sunday evening. No breakfast available on Mon and Tue. Staff are very nice people.

Very nice staff. Really sucked how the restaurant nor the bar were open though. There isn’t much in that area for food or anything so it was a big let down finding out it was closed. My door handle fell off as I was closing the door. Very runned down location, but for the price it’s not bad. Decently clean rooms though, definitely need new beds though!

The ladies that run the hotel are super sweet! They go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable., they bust their butts in that hotel, day and night, whether it's cooking, cleaning, or making sure the guests have a great stay. The staff were so lovely. An absolute pleasure to deal with. The ladies were so helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. One of the TV's in the room was not working and they immediately changed it. For an oversight stay in a camping area, it was a great location. Thank you!

They need more staff. They had one lady working and she cleaned, did registration and worked the restaurant by herself and was the Manager. She should have more staff to help.

There appears to have been a change in management fairly recently and there is still a transition period in training the staff. I had issues checking in as I arrived at 11pm and the buzzer by the front desk did not seem to work, I waited for 10 minutes and contemplated leaving and asking for a refund later, but then I tried the buzzer by the front door and finally someone came out. The room that I was initially assigned was not cleaned so I needed to get another room, but the man working the front desk sorted out the issue. I do hope that they will sort out these issues soon, I still find it a conveniet location given its proximity to the North Frontenac Dark Sky Preserve.

This is a good budget option only about 10 minutes from the entrance to Bon Echo Provincial Park. The rooms are comfortable and a decent size. Be aware the hotel restaurant is not open every day, and that the nearest other restaurant is a 15 minute drive; the gas station across the street has some basics but not a ton. I suggest bringing your own breakfast supplies.

Lakeside Inn is a quiet property, not on the lake vut located close to Bon Echo. Rooms are basic but have been recently updated and our room was very clean. Bed was comfortable enough, a/c in room noisy but efficient. Mini fridge and microwave as well in our room was nice feature. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good place for a night or 2!

10 minutes away from Bon Echo Provincial Park. The Inn has been renovated recently, mist noticeable is the washroom. We wouldn't mind staying here again next time in the same area. Please note that the restaurant does not open on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The ladies that run the hotel are super sweet! They go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable., they bust their butts in that hotel, day and night, whether it's cooking, cleaning, or making sure the guests have a great stay. Location is close to Bon Echo Provincial Park, but it’s quite difficult to find food close by especially when the hotel restaurant is closed due to short of staff. The room is clean enough, hot water & wifi are working well. They need to put bath mat inside the bathtub so it won’t be too slippery.

Overall it was a nice and quiet stay. The room was clean and fresh when we arrived and the lakeside restaurant closed at 9pm so we were able to have a nice dinner.

This is very close to Bon Echo Provincial Park and that is why I chose it. I stayed one night so I could get an early start in the park. There is a gas station and convivence store opposite the property. Parking lot does need to be repaved, that is an upgrade the property should undertake. It is a rural area so keep that in mind. It has a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Their restaurant is only open on certain days, and that is true of the entire area. I brought my own food and made it in the room. Otherwise I would have had to travel far for food that was available. So just keep that in mind when planning. It was a good nights sleep.

Didn’t like that the restaurant only opened at 9 and they don’t freshen up the rooms everyday and we had to ask for new towels but otherwise rooms were good

Stayed for a fundraiser. The room was disgusting and dated. The furniture looked like it came from the side of the road. The bathroom was not cleaned properly and tub was full of rust. The licking systems for the rooms is sketchy and we were licked out many times. The staff that was running the bar ripped people off for their change when purchasing a drink. The restaurant is a entire other story. Cook was smoking didn't wash hands before going to the kitchen. Thw food was horrendous.. bavon vheese omelets were a paper thin egg spead out with a kraft cheese slice tucked inside. No bacon but charged for it.. absolutely disgusting wish I took picks. Avoid all restaurants in this area unless you want to get sick.

Our room was clean but the A/C was quite noisy. The restaurant had a limited menu (compared to their website) and it closes at 7:00pm on Sunday evening. No breakfast available on Mon and Tue. Staff are very nice people.
