Fox Kandy was well set up. There were a few villas but they were cleverly positioned, so it felt like only an exclusive place. We were given a great room with a glass shower leading to the bedroom. Wide variety of food, excellent staff. The pool was amazing- infinity pool in the clouds. Only con; suprisingly- a lot of bugs here, which is nice if you like nature. I loved Fox Kandy and would stay here again.

We had a suite which was great. Strange to have a dining table instead of proper seating area. If this was changed it would have been even greater. Dinner was OK but nothing to write home about. Breakfast was better. Dining area felt a bit like a school dinner hall. The staff were very helpful. Can get a bit noisy when the wind blows from the east. Rattles the large glass doors. Apart from that we would come back. The pool is good but loungers are limited. Gets busy about 4pm.

Very nice quiet place (except for the occasional barking dog at night) on a hilltop outside Kandy. The road up was a bit challenging for our guide's car, but it managed eventually. Super friendly staff and VERY cheap laundry service. Also a nice restaurant with a good selection and a nice little pool area.

This is a very nice modern hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff all excellent and breakfast was great too. Lovely infinity pool. The hotel is right at the top of a mountain so access is a bit tricky but the views are stunning. We were informed that the hotel didn’t have a liquor licence. However, they can actually sell wine and beer - it would have been helpful to know that.

The property was beautiful. We had the suite which was extremely spacious and really well appointed. The infinity pool was very nice and relaxing. The food was really good as well. The staff very attentive. I think the only drawback to the hotel is that although the view beautiful at the top of the mountain, it is quite difficult and takes time to get up there so it is not convenient if you want to go back and forth from the city below. Other than that, the hotel is perfect.

The staff were so kind and could not do enough for us. A lovely welcome drink of fresh juice. Amazing views from the dining room and pool area. Buffet breakfast was substantial and international. If you are driving, the hotel is at the top of a hill and the roads are challenging. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Very friendly, going all the way to make your stay a pleasant one. I got stomach issues after my first night and told the restaurant staff. I received a call when I got to my room to ask whether I need anything as they heard I got sick. They offered to make me a breakfast/ lunch box for the next day as I had a 5-hr drive that day. A couple it improvements: please offer organic juices and not from a package, which is loaded with sugar. The AC is placed in front of the bed and it was uncomfortable feeling the cold wind blowing directly on me. I turned it off during my entire stay. The bathroom is quite small while the bedroom is spacious. The sink is large but there is no vanity space to put your toiletries on. When it’s windy, which this isn’t something the property can control, the pool is too cold to swim. Expect a day to be spent inside your room bc of the cool temps. If you heat up the pool, that would be a great perk! Also, after dinner, there is nothing to do than to go back to your room. Think of offering a 60-minute cultural performance: dance or music. Offer some entertainment as there is literally noting than a cold pool in which no one swims.

Lovely hotel sat overlooking Kandy and a sanctuary away from the business of elsewhere. As per other reviews, the road up is quite steep and winding but all of the drivers we had were very careful - use the Pick me app (Sri Lankan Uber) and it will cost about £1.50 in a tuk tuk and £2.50 in a taxi We found the staff to be exceptional - from the very moment you arrive in reception the whole team make you feel so welcome …special mentions to Gobi who was super helpful and Oliver and Olivia who give fantastic massages in the spa. Food in the restaurant was a good standard and reasonably priced, but whether it is there, your room or the infinity pool, this place is all about those beautiful views

Locate on the peak of the mountain, have to drive a very narrow way to the top, too many insects in the room otherwise it was perfect experience, shower is wide and super nice, staffs are very friendly and helpful, great view of the valley, worth every penny.

A unique hotel very high above Kandy. The compound and rooms are pleasant, and the food at breakfast and dinner were tasty. It is quite a steep, long drive up the hill, so don’t book this hotel if you need to make multiple trips into the city each day.

Beautiful room in a lovely hotel located at the top of a hill overlooking Kandy. The hospitality shown in this hotel is 5*. Dinner is buffet style and was lovely freshly cooked local dishes. The breakfast was also really good. Highly recommend this hotel. One word of warning. The road to the hotel on Google Maps is steep and windy. The better route is coming behind Kandy hospital

Fox resort property is an amazing find, its placed on the top of the mountain and views are amazing. I booked a suite and it has so much space for family and amazing views. Would recommend to book a suite. Staff is very helpful, courteous and also smiling. Restaurant has amazing room service. I highly recommend this resort if you are in Kandy.

We had a lovely stay here, fabulous views and very friendly staff. Food was typical Sri Lankan, good standard and the curry’s were a delight. Perfect location away from the very busy kandy city. Room was spacious and had great. views of the mountains and we saw a beautiful sunset. A great choice. if you prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of a major city.

The property and staff were all amazing. The breakfast and dinner was good. Getting a ride via pick me can take some time as not all drivers want to come up the hill. Make sure you a lot enough time for travel. We were going to be late for our train because a PickMe driver canceled. But the hotel made some calls and arranged for a quick Tuk Tuk ride and we made it right in time.
The property and staff were all amazing. The breakfast and dinner was good. Getting a ride via pick me can take some time as not all drivers want to come up the hill. Although our first night was spoiled because our room was booked next to a married family and friends whom talked/laughed and were very loud and obnoxious between 3:30am until 8am despite staff asking them to keep it quiet in the early hours. However, as soon as staff became aware of the problem they jumped on it and tried their best to help us. The manager apologized and was very kind and friendly. Also they brought us breakfast in-room so we could sleep in due to loss of hours. Also because we missed dinner as we came back after midnight after our outing, the manager arranged for us to have sandwiches and fruit, coffee and juice waiting for us in the room. On our last day because we were checking out early, they packed us breakfast for our journey out. Views are beautiful from the room. It takes about 20-25 minutes by car from town to the hotel through windy but beautiful local mountain road. Got some great sunrise photos. Everything we ate was delicious. Thank you Fox Resorts!

This is a very nice modern hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff all excellent and breakfast was great too. Lovely infinity pool. The hotel is right at the top of a mountain so access is a bit tricky but the views are stunning. We were informed that the hotel didn’t have a liquor licence. However, they can actually sell wine and beer - it would have been helpful to know that.

The staff were so kind and could not do enough for us. A lovely welcome drink of fresh juice. Amazing views from the dining room and pool area. Buffet breakfast was substantial and international. If you are driving, the hotel is at the top of a hill and the roads are challenging. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Had four great nights in this hotel. Been in Sri Lanka for over 15 years but this was my first visit here. It’s a place of rest and recovering. The staff was actually one of the best I ever had. I guess the manager doing a great work with his team. For sure I will comeback again.

As per other reviews, the road up is quite steep and winding but all of the drivers we had were very careful - use the Pick me app (Sri Lankan Uber) and it will cost about £1.50 in a tuk tuk and £2.50 in a taxi We found the staff to be exceptional - from the very moment you arrive in reception the whole team make you feel so welcome …special mentions to Gobi who was super helpful and Oliver and Olivia who give fantastic massages in the spa. You’re better off using Uber and it’s far cheaper. Overall it was a pleasant stay. We didn't like the food at the breakfast or dinner buffets unfortunately. The quality was lacking in many of the options.

The property was beautiful. We had the suite which was extremely spacious and really well appointed. The infinity pool was very nice and relaxing. The food was really good as well. The staff very attentive. I think the only drawback to the hotel is that although the view beautiful at the top of the mountain, it is quite difficult and takes time to get up there so it is not convenient if you want to go back and forth from the city below. Other than that, the hotel is perfect.

We had a lovely stay here, fabulous views and very friendly staff. Food was typical Sri Lankan, good standard and the curry’s were a delight. Perfect location away from the very busy kandy city. Room was spacious and had great. views of the mountains and we saw a beautiful sunset. A great choice. if you prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of a major city.

We had a suite which was great. Strange to have a dining table instead of proper seating area. If this was changed it would have been even greater. Dinner was OK but nothing to write home about. Breakfast was better. Dining area felt a bit like a school dinner hall. The staff were very helpful. Can get a bit noisy when the wind blows from the east. Rattles the large glass doors. Apart from that we would come back. The pool is good but loungers are limited. Gets busy about 4pm.

The property and staff were all amazing. The breakfast and dinner was good. Getting a ride via pick me can take some time as not all drivers want to come up the hill. Make sure you a lot enough time for travel. We were going to be late for our train because a PickMe driver canceled. Nice hotel! Very kind and helpful staff! The hotel is located far up in the mountain. It does not take 4 minutes down to kandy lake as it says on the advertisement it took us 20-25 minutes. We also had trouble with car and tuktuks not being able to drive all the way up there because the road is so steep, narrow and winding. The food in the restaurant at the hotel was average. The message we got from the hotel before checking in said they could not sell alcohol because they were in the process of obtaining liquor license. This information is not up to date as we were able to buy alcohol. Very nice pool!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Fox Kandy. The hotel is beautifully designed, and its hilltop location provides perfect views over Kandy and the surrounding hills. One of the standout moments was the morning mist covering the lower parts of the city and hills, leaving the peaks visible above it. It was a beautiful sight. The staff were exceptional, and the food and dining experience were also very good. The infinity pool is a must after a day in town. The road up the hill is a little winding, but once you arrive, it is clearly worth it. After a full day exploring Kandy, I’d suggest taking a tuk tuk back up to the hotel.
