The staff were fabulous, super friendly and helpful. The location right on the waterfront on Pango beach is beautiful. The huts were lovely. Outdoor dining by the pool was a great experience, good food and excellent entertainment every night. We loved our stay and we’ll be back.

Great location just out of Port Vila on the beach front with public transport available. Comfortable accommodation although bathrooms could do with an upgrade. Italian restaurant food was very good. Wed has a Melanesian Buffet evening with local entertainment & Fri is Fire Night. Other evenings have free live music. We really enjoyed our stay.

We made a spur of the moment decision to travel to Vanuatu for our 24th wedding anniversary. We stayed at Breakas for 4 nights and it was pure heaven and indulgence. We were given a beachfront bungalow that couldn’t get any closer to the water. It was perfection itself! The service is so good, everyone is friendly and kind. The breakfast was beautiful - so much lovely fruit and those pancakes are divine! The infinity pool, crystal clear ocean, friendly local sea turtle just added to the magic - oh and the Friday night fire show!

The resort is absolutely beautiful. It's in a wonderful location offering a private beach and beautiful infinity pool .. best of both worlds. Very impressed with the staff how accommodating and friendly they were. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious and there was entertainment provided every night while enjoying your meal. Thoroughly recommend Breakas Beach Resort.

Lovely quiet relaxing resort for a kid-free getaway. My favorite night was the cultural night with local food buffet - delicious and fun! Very tidy beach sand grounds around the beach bure's, handy snorkeling and water sports gear

Didn't want to leave, staff were very friendly and helpful, easy to access by bus, the snorkeling right outside the resort was amazing! I would definitely recommend spending your holiday here. The food is pretty pricey for the quality, but there are a couple of good restaurants within walking distance and the bus ride to the city is cheap and easy

I went here as a solo female traveler and felt very safe and well looked after. The rooms are beautiful and secluded. The private beach was lovely to swim in as was the pool. Area is walkable to a few restaurants and it was very easy to get transport.

This resort has so much potential with a lovely pristine setting on lovely beach. The Villas were nice, friendly staff. However, much could be improved - no working television anywhare which would help on days of inactivity due to rain. Alternative activities could be improved - such as table tennis, pool table,, beach volley ball - there was little to do for us while in rained. Also Wifi signal strength was weak - only available in small area. Please expand and improve your wifi. Even better - provide it near the villas!!. Enjoyed our stay, but it could be so much better for liitle effort. Steve

We had an amazing time at Breakas Resort. The staff were fantastic and it was lovely to be in an 'adults only' resort which made it very peaceful. Highly recommend for a beautiful, relaxing break with a great pool and fabulous ocean views

I had a magical time, all the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The place was spotless! Beautifully kept! The food was delicious and the entertainment was brilliant! We stayed 5 nights, a room that was very close to the road. At night you heard people parting from the local kava bar across the road and a small business grinding and hammering till after midnight every night. We woke most mornings at 5am as the staff used a leaf rake on the paths around the room and talked loudly. The bathroom had green mould on shower walls. The bed was constantly covered in ants. We had to spray bug spray on the bed every night and clean ants off before sleeping. The mossie net does protect you from the gecko poo landing on you while sleeping. The breakfast was average. Dinner was good but expensive. The place is tired and needs a facelift. The wait staff are lovely. Was easy to get taxi and tours from just outside the gates. We stayed at another place too which was much nicer. We won’t stay here again.

The pool and ocean views were as advertised. The snorkeling off the bay was fantastic even though the gear provided was not well maintained, would advise to bring your own. The rooms were ok, but the fixtures were very old/dirty and there were often dead cockroaches on the floor. The service was pretty bad in the sense that you had to seek out the staff to ask for anything you wanted and sometimes got an eye roll in return. We can give compliments to Elsa & Cindy who were very friendly and knowledgeable and were engaging at all times. The food was mediocre.

This is definitely not a 5 star resort more like a 2 star. Booked and paid for an ocean view hut but none available so moved into a garden room. Met several other people in the resort who also had the same problem. Rooms are open to the elements so when it rains (which it did every day) the bathroom was covered with debris, and also the wild life came in (the rooms came with bug spray and mosquito coils what more do I need to say). The room was covered in ants every day, geckos then came to eat the ants, there was no air conditioning and several days no hot water in the showers.There was no where to get away from the heat in any part of the resort. There was no comfortable chair anywhere in the resort. There were a total of only 12 deck chairs for the whole resort which were on the beach, none near the pool. The pool was surrounded by sand, there was only sand paths to the rooms. The service was awful - 50 minutes to get a cocktail over an hour to get a pizza. Worse place I have ever been and more like a bad caravan park than a 5 star resort. Everyone we spoke with at the resort said that they would never go back again.

Way overrated considering other options like Thailand and Fiji. Very expensive food. No wifi in rooms, only wifi around the lobby. Access to rooms is via paths of sand so wheelie bags have to be carried by porter or lifted from the ground yourself. The room is a great size and charming with mosquito net over the bed which is comfortable, and bathroom open to the elements... if you have a shower when it is raining you get wet before you turn on the shower. Controlling hot water temperature is fiddly but the water pressure is good. Full of bugs so an ecological experience. The included breakfast buffet is adequate... cereal, bread, fruit (surprisingly no bananas or papaya today but apparently they ran out by 8am), pastries, cake, coffee, tea. And you can order bacon and eggs at an extra charge. The staff are friendly and warm and in the most part really try, and are lovely but sometimes inefficient... forgetting orders, slow in replenishing empty bowls, resetting tables once people have finished, organising airport shuttles. Right on the beach. Breakas treat you to a unique accommodation experience. Staff are very friendly and willing to help in anyway possible. The bungalows are not air-conditioned, but have cieling fans. Gor me personally this is a plus.

Very welcoming reception with local drink and necklace. We booked a beach cabin which was at a beautiful spot overlooking the beach and ocean. The cabin is simple inside with semi outdoor bathroom but you are outside anyhow. The people of vanuatu are the friendliest we ever came accross.

Beautiful and idyllic beachfront location. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was high quality. Rooms are basic but more than adequate but it gets extremely hot and there is no AC in the room, only a ceiling fan. Wifi is only available in public areas. Overall a fantastic experience

We thought location was good, proximity to beach was excellent. Pool was lovely. Restaurant was expensive. No wifi in rooms was frustrating No a/c was also a bit hard to take. Rooms were very hot. Overall the place was nice. Staff were great

Amazing location and loved being able to use reef shoes, kayaks and snorkelling equipment. I found the staff lovely but a little disappointing that once I had enquired or asked them to do something they never followed up with me. This was in regards to a dress I had left behind on a tour and about the accommodation package. All in all I would recommend but cannot give 5 stars.

Beautiful scenery, quiet and peaceful, staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately because it was still off season all the entertainment was cancelled which was disappointing, also the system of putting any meals and drinks on a room tab was not a good system, some where along the way we were charged more than we spent, we kept a record for ourselves on a daily basis so were aware of what we had spent on food and drink by the end of our stay. In fact, another guest had put down our room number for at least one of his meals, it was a genuine mistake on his part but the hotel staff didn’t pick up on the mistake until we queried our final bill and they had to look through all the receipts they had kept to verify this charge. Like I said we were not happy with this charge system and would highly recommend that during your stay you check your ongoing balance daily so you can keep track for when you get your final balance.

Breakas was the perfect location for our honeymoon. The staff were fantastic!! They were helpful, friendly, and spent time to make us as comfortable as possible. The security guard who is on duty between 6am and 2pm (i didn't catch his name) was so lovely. He always made sure he flagged us down a good bus and took the time to talk to us. The staff in the bar and restaurant were lovely, always offering to bring cocktails and food right to us on the beach. It was such a great experience. The farès were comfortable and kept clean, you always felt like you were in your own private paradise. It was close enough to port vilas main strip that getting in and out was a breeze. Any bus we got on the drivers and locals made us feel comfortable. Highly recommend breakas for an adults only getaway!

The resort is absolutely beautiful. It's in a wonderful location offering a private beach and beautiful infinity pool .. best of both worlds. Very impressed with the staff how accommodating and friendly they were. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious and there was entertainment provided every night while enjoying your meal. Thoroughly recommend Breakas Beach Resort.

Average room with minimal amenities. Poor service from staff. Barista at the bar was the only hospitable staff. Minus point for the staff at the reception, no accountability, they were too lazy to work. Expedia should not have this property as VIP access hotel because we felt misguided by Expedia. I do not recommend this hotel, it’s a motel stay with premium price. There are other nicer hotel in the area.

Great location just out of Port Vila on the beach front with public transport available. Comfortable accommodation although bathrooms could do with an upgrade. Italian restaurant food was very good. Wed has a Melanesian Buffet evening with local entertainment & Fri is Fire Night. Other evenings have free live music. We really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent resort in Vanuatu. We stayed in a garden villa and the rooms were nice without the high standard 5 star rooms in other parts of the world. Vanuatu in general is less developed and thrives on its traditional life. Don’t except all the trimmings that come with other resort in other parts. Not far from central Port Vila. There is a grocery store opposite the entry and you can get drivers easily into town. Public buses come through regularly for cheap trips. Island life rules in Vanuatu and service is very good but it is slow. Take in the atmosphere and enjoy not being in a rush. It is what Vanuatu is all about. Breakfast is more than adequate and food off the menu is very good. The pool is not heated and provides a shock when you first get in, but is of good temperature once you are in and adjust. Prices are not cheap, but either is Vanuatu. Pay cash as they hit you with fees. Highly recommend Breakas

Didn't want to leave, staff were very friendly and helpful, easy to access by bus, the snorkeling right outside the resort was amazing! I would definitely recommend spending your holiday here. The food is pretty pricey for the quality, but there are a couple of good restaurants within walking distance and the bus ride to the city is cheap and easy

I went here as a solo female traveler and felt very safe and well looked after. The rooms are beautiful and secluded. The private beach was lovely to swim in as was the pool. Area is walkable to a few restaurants and it was very easy to get transport.

If you like Glamping (glamorous camping) this is the place to stay. The beach is lovely and easy to relax upon, the beach bar is nice and restaurant dinners are really good. The rooms are very basic and are basically a queen sized bed, small fridge and outdoor bathroom. There is nothing particularly comfortable about the room and your paying for the beachfront location. Breakfast is basic…tinned fruit, cheap breakfast cereals and bread, instant coffee. Suggest going to Cafe Vila down the road for a decent breakfast and skipping breakfast all together.

We were disappointed in the food. Only had dinner there the first night and it was very disappointing and expensive so we found other places much better. The breakfast, both the complimentary and a la carte were also ordinary. Everything else about the property is lovely.

Good resort, very clean, nice setting. Staff is lovely, their travel desk can be a bit pushy in offering only their tours (Pele island didn't exist because they didn't offer a tour to it for instance...). Thing to improve is the breakfast. Pancakes, canned fruit, Vegemite and some very dry pastries and that was it. Anything else had to be paid for.

My husband and I had a lovely restful week in a beachfront fare which was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly, the amenities were fantastic and the rooms were serviced everyday promptly and properly with lovely clean towels and linen daily. The only complaint I may have is the continental breakfast. It lacked variety and with no fresh tomato, cheese or fresh healthy options to put on your toast it was somewhat disappointing. Apart from that everything was great.
