Stayed 3 nights

This place is a nightmare, I don’t understand how hotels.com lists it as an option. It could not pass any hygiene inspection. My room was so dirty and rancid smelling, reeking of cigarette smoke. No lights in the windowless bathroom. The carpets and furniture were beyond stained and yucky. I slept for a few hours as I just had a transatlantic flight, drove five hours and checked in late, around 10 pm. I did not feel safe there, it looked like some of the other occupants in my building were homeless people. Checked out the next morning at 4 am. Avoid at all costs!

I always carry lysol to spray the sink, shower bed, toilet etc. But I was disgusted when I pulled back the covers and saw the dirty sheets. The pillows were slept on, you could see it. After we told management he ssid we dont have extra sheets. I said do how do you change linen for new clients when I leave? Puke ! I will never, ever go back.

Stayed 1 night

June 2026: “The Radford Inn” does not exist. It’s a dumpy Econolodge. Online it looks like something else. In person, expect a gross room, bugs in your room, and gross people staying with you. For $50 a night… you get what you pay for. Let me rewind. After my 5 hour drive, I arrived at a semi-okay small hotel. GPS, lead me to another building, The Quality Inn. No reception was available immediately. There was a sign saying to call a phone number, so I called. The young man arrived within 6 minutes, he was actually really nice. Poor kid had to explain everything to me that this is not the building I’m staying in. The Radford Inn is actually The Econolodge, down the hill. He checked me in and gave me a key. First impression as my kids and I were rolling down that hill into that building was immediate regret. Unkept overgrown grass was the first sign of trouble. No signage. An old building falling apart. It looked like an abandoned motel. The room was operational: water, sink, shower and AC and tv worked but it wasn’t comfortable at all. Probably the cheapest and worst bedding and pillows I’ve slept in for the last 30 years of travel Add in the peppering of crackheads standing out front smoking at any given time. If they weren’t crackheads, they were rough looking folk. Whoever owns or runs this hotel is the worst cheapskate in Virginia. I feel embarrassed for you that you would charge people to stay in this dump. It was a terrible experience for me and my kids.
