Absolutely loved our stay here and will be back. Beds are comfortable, daily class options are excellent and varied, staff is incredibly friendly, food at the on-site restaurants is delicious and healthy, and the spa was world class (loved the aquatherapy circuit).

We had a really nice stay, the beds are comfortable and healthy options for dining. Only one recommendation, they need EV charging stations for their guest. Other than that the location is relaxing and overall a great place to decompress.

The service needs improvement. At the spa, I waited to be let into the locker room, for the tour, after 5 mins they said I can just go back and let myself around. The lockers were not ready and the massage rooms were not decorated at all. The bar area was large but had big areas with no furniture.. The pool had a ripped umbrella and the pool deck had chips and chunks of the decking, so unfortunately not a barefoot area.

Loved the classes and that the pools are accessible any time of day. The spa is beautiful and relaxing. The room was great. Cocktails and dinner are great, but don't order dinner before you finish your appetizer or you will get them at the same time. Also, skip the farmers breakfast sandwich; it was barely edible so dry. I definitely got the peace I was needing, just going out for breakfast and dinner next time!

I had high hopes for this place based on feedback I got from people I knew that visited in the past. With that being said, I wasn't that impressed especially for the price. I will start with the things that I liked/enjoyed. The overall cleanliness of the facility was excellent; landscaping was gorgeous especially with variety of birds and some bunnies. The gym area was good in terms of size and equipment variety. The pool areas were nice and the fact you can order food was a plus. I didn't like the fact that you had to purchase a spa service to access the saltwater pool. For the things I didn't like... The class schedules could have been better as well as the number of participants allowed. If you're going to have a cap then offer the class more than once, maybe a morning and evening option. They are the point of contact for many things and often only one person manned the front leading to long waits. Food is a bit hit or miss. My initial room smelled like a fart but they were able to move me. Every issue I brought up was addressed so kudos for that.

Stayed for a solo vacay for my 35th property is nice very clean an peaceful only issue I had with my room was my bathroom mirror light did not work an no one ever came to fix it after complaint. It’s also very expensive with alot of healthy food if that’s not your palate you’ll want to find other options which I did using DD.

Went here for a girls weekend, paid $500/night because of all of the classes that were included. They only let you reserve 2 classes prior to arrival, and once you get there most of the classes are full and you can’t add more. Lots of the classes you also have to pay extra for. The pool was filthy, it was obvious nobody was cleaning it regularly. The same bandaids and dead bugs were floating around in it over the 3 days we stayed there. Dirty carpets with stains. Candlelight yoga class didn’t have any candles. Staff was hit or miss. Some of them were exceptional and very kind, others were rude. Would not stay here again at this price point, definitely not worth the money.

I recently stayed at the Civana Wellness Resort for my first solo trip as an African-American woman, and it was absolutely perfect. This was the best place to relax, restore, and refresh. I left feeling so healed and renewed. The resort grounds are beautiful, everything was spotless, and my room was very spacious. I also felt completely safe the entire time, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and every detail was well taken care of. I had such an amazing time here and would highly recommend Civana Wellness Resort to anyone looking for a peaceful, rejuvenating getaway.

The property was overpriced, had to call to request housekeeping after our room wasn’t cleaned on the second day. Housekeeper came with a big attitude. Limited menu choices at two dining options on site. During lunch with 3 friends on our last day, restaurant server kept coming to the table and interrupting our conversation - obviously we didn’t need anything. $67.76 “experience” fee charged per day, even if you don’t take any classes. Few are good, some are very corny. Spa is very expensive and most certainly not the best spa experience I’ve had. Finally, they allowed one of my friends to add herself to my room, didn’t take her credit card, so little did I know I had to pay for all of her extras and classes that were charged to the room - which Civana never got my authorization for in advance. Will not return to this resort. Did not end my trip feeling relaxed or reset. Left very annoyed by the waste of money.

Resort was very nice, with clean rooms and we'll appointed areas for guests' use. The food and beverages were amazing and had plenty of healthy options to help you commit to the wellness theme of the stay. Staff was friendly and service was good. Would definitely recommend and likely will return!

This was a lovely resort with amazing staff and wonderful classes and amenities. Our room was right beside a door that opened and slammed and there was a loading dock behind it so that wasn’t ideal for sleep and sound. Otherwise, it was a lovely place to reset and relax

Very much enjoyed my stay at Civana, including taking advantage of classes and the spa. The team members working at Civana were uniformly lovely, welcoming, and hospitable. Overall Civana is lovely but it falls short in a few areas. Front desk needs more staff. They are the point of contact for many things and often only one person manned the front leading to long waits. Food is a bit hit or miss. My initial room smelled like a fart but they were able to move me. Every issue I brought up was addressed so kudos for that.

The service needs improvement. At the spa, I waited to be let into the locker room, for the tour, after 5 mins they said I can just go back and let myself around. The lockers were not ready and the massage rooms were not decorated at all. The bar area was large but had big areas with no furniture.. The pool had a ripped umbrella and the pool deck had chips and chunks of the decking, so unfortunately not a barefoot area.

We started off rocky, they could not find my reservation and we were waiting around for 45 minutes trying to figure out what went wrong. Either the ball was dropped on Expedia's side, or on Civana's end, but in any case the manager and staff worked hard to make sure that our stay was worth while! The classes we attended were fantastic and the Spirit of the Desert spa treatment was the highlight of our stay. It is a bit pricey, especially the food which comes in very small portions, especially the dinner items. But overall a nice getaway and the scenery is beautiful and the town around is very cute and quaint. I enjoyed myself and credit my positive experience to the staff's effort.

Yasmine was a staff member who was so friendly, outgoing and helpful—she’s a star in the making. We were treated by all on staff with incredible kindness. The property was overpriced, had to call to request housekeeping after our room wasn’t cleaned on the second day. Housekeeper came with a big attitude. Limited menu choices at two dining options on site. During lunch with 3 friends on our last day, restaurant server kept coming to the table and interrupting our conversation - obviously we didn’t need anything. $67.76 “experience” fee charged per day, even if you don’t take any classes. Few are good, some are very corny. Spa is very expensive and most certainly not the best spa experience I’ve had. I loved the spa & the amenities. The staff there were very attentive & friendly. My message was amazing, Thanks Teri! As before, I love the aesthetic of the room, classes & property. The only issue was I wanted a direct sunlight room. I called & was told I would get a call back about that & didn't. I knew I wouldn’t in the back of my mind & went on to enjoy my stay. The waitress at the bar at Terras seemed a bit annoyed Saturday night. Me & 2 other ladies sat down to eat & drink. I went to the restroom, not sure what happened as I was gone, but I came back to some intense uncomfortable energy. The attitude we were getting was different from the night before. Absolutely loved our stay here and will be back. Beds are comfortable, daily class options are excellent and varied, staff is incredibly friendly, food at the on-site restaurants is delicious and healthy, and the spa was world class (loved the aquatherapy circuit).

The property is beautiful. The classes are excellent the way the instructors explain the purpose of the class and you get take this home with you. I had a deep inner connection. The staff went way beyond my expectations they made sure you had the best experience. I recommended to all my friends. Carefree is beautiful if you do leave the resort. Restaurants are great and the locals are very friendly.

OMG! What an amazing pick this was! After researching multiple resorts I picked Civana since it seemed such a perfect combination of modern elegance, idyllic setting and checked all my boxes - Spa, pool, mountain views and peaceful atmosphere. Civana was all this and more! For a Vegan, this is a haven of delicious smoothies, wraps and desserts that are clean, healthy and mouth watering! Definitely returning with family and friends.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Civana! The classes were all super well organized, all of the instructors were very knowledgable and made everyone feel welcomed. The staff was very courteous and professional. The two closest towns were quaint, safe, and had very zen vibes to go along with Civana's same atmosphere. The spa was great, the massage was AMAZING and love that with this service you get to enjoy the amenities of the spa all day. Only thing I would like to see would be more food options, dinner was a bit pricey but wonderful tasty healthy food. I would highly recommend Civana for anyone looking to re-charge and re-connect with your best self!

I liked the variety of classes and that most were included in the price of the hotel stay. I liked the spa and the services I chose during my stay. What could have been better for me is the food options. Seed closes at 4pm. If I didn’t plan ahead and purchase 2 things at lunch then I either did not eat or stuck getting something from Terras. Terra’s food is ok I would have liked to get a smoothie from Seed or a sandwich rather than a full meal. I also could have done without the several small groups of women who chose to not respect others nor the quiet area signs. The loud laughter and immaturity displayed is not what I expected from a Wellness Resort. I feel I shouldn’t need to wear my ear pods in the quiet area of the spa to block out the loud and obnoxious conversations. Maybe alcohol should not be served. Most of these women seemed to enjoy the bar. By Sunday the resort was much nicer. The small groups seemed to have left and the serenity that I hoped for was finally present. Would I go there again? Maybe. If I bring my own snacks, remember my air pods and don’t assume everyone knows what “quiet area” means.

Resort was very nice, with clean rooms and we'll appointed areas for guests' use. The food and beverages were amazing and had plenty of healthy options to help you commit to the wellness theme of the stay. Staff was friendly and service was good. Would definitely recommend and likely will return!

Loved the classes and that the pools are accessible any time of day. The spa is beautiful and relaxing. The room was great. Cocktails and dinner are great, but don't order dinner before you finish your appetizer or you will get them at the same time. Also, skip the farmers breakfast sandwich; it was barely edible so dry. I definitely got the peace I was needing, just going out for breakfast and dinner next time!

I had high hopes for this place based on feedback I got from people I knew that visited in the past. With that being said, I wasn't that impressed especially for the price. I will start with the things that I liked/enjoyed. The overall cleanliness of the facility was excellent; landscaping was gorgeous especially with variety of birds and some bunnies. The gym area was good in terms of size and equipment variety. The pool areas were nice and the fact you can order food was a plus. I didn't like the fact that you had to purchase a spa service to access the saltwater pool. For the things I didn't like... The class schedules could have been better as well as the number of participants allowed. If you're going to have a cap then offer the class more than once, maybe a morning and evening option. The food was not the greatest, the only saving grace was breakfast. Lunch and dinner options were not the best in my opinion especially for the price. Luckily, I had a rental car, so I ventured off and grabbed some good food in the surrounding area.
