The Mona is centrally based for all attractions. The communication with the hotel was excellent before departing the UK. Due to very late didn’t arrive at Mona until 0300. No matter room ready night staff expecting us and seamless process. The decor is brilliant around hotel and in room. Room was spacious clean and we loved it. If that isn’t enough breakfast was sensational. The final twist is the roof top honesty bar where you get a wonderful night time view of the illuminated Acropolis.

We loved everything about this hotel. And every single member of staff were amazing. Breakfast was delicious (and served beautifully) and the rooftop bar was such a treat. It’s also in a great location. Would recommend and definitely stay again if we’re lucky enough to find ourselves in Athens.

Chic hotel with a really delicious breakfast. Unfortunately the hotel focuses slightly too much on form over function, both loo and bathroom are only separated from the room by a curtain (leaving little to the imagination). The shower was an extension over the bath which led to a lot of water on the floor, towels and said curtains. Also there is a fairly hard sell on items in the hotel, with products and price tags all over the room, while the arrival chat included a point to the online shop. Lovely rooftop bar and if asked in advance breakfast can be served up there.

What a cool unique property. It’s in an old textile mill. They have kept many unique parts from the mill. Hotel has an amazing rooftop bar. You couldn’t ask for a better location for dining and nightlife. The hotel staff was so very helpful. Breakfast in the morning was awesome!

there was sewer smell in our room (which did get better each time we turned on air conditioner, but air conditioner automatically went off each time we left room) I told them about it when we checked out (only there 2 nights) and they apologized and said they would look into it but did no compensation. Rooftop bar and breakfast were very nice. They had a "wine tasting event" which just ended up being an outside wine rep who poured you about 10 drops of 2 different wines and wanted you to buy a glass or bottle directly from him.

The quirky and creative ‘industrial cool’ design concept for the interior definitely stands this hotel apart, as well as the location, and the quality of the breakfast menu which was excellent, and on the whole communication was good when done via the iPad, however there are some areas that could improve the experience of staying here. The noise from the lane into the early hours needs to be addressed, and attention to detail for this price point is lacking. For example, the broken washing machine left us finding a local self service laundromat to do our washing ourselves. This issue could have been resolved by staff rather than simply apologising for the inconvenience. Some surfaces, while intentionally textured for the industrial feel are showing signs of wearing. Most days the spaces seemed to be in use for other purposes(?) with people busy on laptops and mobiles and guests wondering whether to avoid intruding. The space certainly has a strong design vibe, probably best suited to a young design savvy audience. More face to face hospitality and connection and engagement between guests and staff would not go astray. Probably would not stay again.

The rooms were clean but there was a lot of noise from the bar downstairs until late at night. If your room is on the lower floors, you may have difficulty sleeping. The street where the hotel is located constantly smells of urine. There is constant discomfort when entering and leaving the hotel. There is no problem with the location or cleanliness of the hotel, it is very good.

It’s very central and no more than 15 minutes walking to almost all the places we wanted to visit. I was initially thrown off by the number of homeless people outside and on the road adjacent, but they do not bother you. The staff are helpful and friendly. Check in is easy. The rooms are very large and really good value. So picturesque, although dark. I wish the full length mirror was in the entrance if the room rather than the toilet. The iPad was very useful and there is a speaker so you don’t have to bring your own. Everything is clean. The breakfast is delicious and since there are not many options, you can try everything even if you have a short stay. The best Orange juice I’ve had! My only gripe is that it can be noisy on the street outside so if you are a light sleeper, please be aware. We did stay over a weekend, maybe it’s quieter in the week and my boyfriend did open the window. Overall, I loved my stay at Mona and would stay here each time we visit Athens.

This hotel had great staff, delicious breakfast and was in a lively location. The room felt like it was decorated by an artist. The cons were that the room was tiny, no chair or room for suitcases and the toilet area was only separated by a curtain from the sleeping area.

The breakfast is next level - practically gourmet and substantial. Location is fantastic. All the sites are in walking distance and there are loads of restaurants and bars and shops around. Very close to the metro if you use it as well. The room is spacious, bohemian and rustic. Like an art studio. Super comfortable bed, and you get lovely amenities in the room. There's an ipad you can use you easily communicate, watch shows, connect to the Marshall speakers and use their custom playlist. Bar the first night when they had a private event in the basement and it was like trying to sleep in the middle of a club ( I was on the first floor), Mona is perfect.

Underbart ställe, mycket vackert, precis lika fint som det ser ut! Personalen var väldigt trevlig, läget toppen! Frukost var jättegod (men för en kaffe-älskare hade det varit trevligt om mer än en cappuccino per person ingick i priset)! Rummen är som ett inredningsmagasin, men var uppmärksamma på att vissa rum inte har avskild toalett (toaletten är bakom ett skynke i rummet).

This was a great little hotel. Everything is design forward with special care given to the details. The rooms are a bit small, but consistent with the norm in Europe. The room also has a big soaking tub which is awesome, but packed a "normal" shower. Again, pretty typical hand shower for Europe, but some Americans may want a traditional shower. The biggest thing to note though is that the toilet is only separated from the rest of the room by a curtain so you better be on good terms with anyone else in the room because you're going to get to know things about each other you may not have wanted to know. Despite some of these quirks though. I did love my stay there. So convenient to everything, incredible warm staff, and lovely design. Would recommend!

Mona is one of the best hotels i’ve ever been and has been my second time here. This time we managed to book a smaller room without balcony. As updated in the hotel’s ownnweb page, the room is quite intimate in the sense that there’s no separate toilet, it’s just separated by a curtain. Besides, the bath tube comes with a shower type itself but since it’s not a shower area, floor gets rather wet when you try to use it as a shower. Unfortunately the saddest part of our stay was the extreme noise from the bar downstairs. Being open until 4 o’clock in the morning, i hardly recommend staying in lower floors. Firts time we stayed in 4th floor i guess and our bed was not directly located on the top of the bar, i suppose so it made a huge difference. The staff, the breakfast, the terrace, amenities all were perfect as before. I never regret staying there but would consider choosing the room suitable for my needs, next time. Thanks to the amazing Mona team, again 💜
Mona is one of the best hotels i’ve ever been and has been my second time here. This time we managed to book a smaller room without balcony. As updated in the hotel’s ownnweb page, the room is quite intimate in the sense that there’s no separate toilet, it’s just separated by a curtain. Besides, the bath tube comes with a shower type itself but since it’s not a shower area, floor gets rather wet when you try to use it as a shower. We loved everything about this hotel. And every single member of staff were amazing. Breakfast was delicious (and served beautifully) and the rooftop bar was such a treat. It’s also in a great location. Would recommend and definitely stay again if we’re lucky enough to find ourselves in Athens.

What a cool unique property. It’s in an old textile mill. They have kept many unique parts from the mill. Hotel has an amazing rooftop bar. You couldn’t ask for a better location for dining and nightlife. The hotel staff was so very helpful. Breakfast in the morning was awesome!

We truly enjoyed staying at Mona. My husband usually doesn't hold a strong opinion of hotels, but he stated multiple times how much he loved our room and how it was one of his favorite hotel rooms he's ever stayed in! Every concierge we interacted with was kind and helpful. They were quick to address any question we had through their efficient texting service. The attention to detail is unmatched, from the organic bedding and vintage decor to the natural wine that is offered and the music that they have playing as you enter your room that comes from your very own bluetooth speaker. The breakfast service that was included was wonderful and delicious! The one and only complaint we had is that the hotel is right next to a bar that remains open until 3am and because of the age of the building the windows are thin. If you do not have some kind of white noise going you can easily hear every noise coming from the bar as some of their customers stand or sit outside which kept us up our first night until we found a white noise app to play through the speaker at night. With the white noise playing we slept just fine. This one flaw did not at all change our opinion of the hotel. It is an exquisite hotel and the cost for our stay was incredibly reasonable given the quality of the hotel and its service. I would choose this hotel again over any other in Athens. You won't be disappointed.

I was initially thrown off by the number of homeless people outside and on the road adjacent, but they do not bother you. The staff are helpful and friendly. Check in is easy. The rooms are very large and really good value. So picturesque, although dark. I wish the full length mirror was in the entrance if the room rather than the toilet. The iPad was very useful and there is a speaker so you don’t have to bring your own. Everything is clean. The breakfast is delicious and since there are not many options, you can try everything even if you have a short stay. The best Orange juice I’ve had! My only gripe is that it can be noisy on the street outside so if you are a light sleeper, please be aware. The breakfast is next level - practically gourmet and substantial. Location is fantastic. All the sites are in walking distance and there are loads of restaurants and bars and shops around. Very close to the metro if you use it as well. The room is spacious, bohemian and rustic. Like an art studio. Super comfortable bed, and you get lovely amenities in the room. There's an ipad you can use you easily communicate, watch shows, connect to the Marshall speakers and use their custom playlist. Bar the first night when they had a private event in the basement and it was like trying to sleep in the middle of a club ( I was on the first floor), Mona is perfect.

Beautiful hotel! Amazing customer service and delicious breakfast in a fantastic and convenient location (easy walk to all the main sites and a direct train from the airport). Only criticism is that the walls are thin and we could hear everything from the room next door, as well the toilet is separated from the room by a curtain only, not everyone will be comfortable with this. Overall had an incredible stay in a stunning and carefully designed hotel, would recommend and will stay again!

Hôtel accessible facilement de l’aéroport avec le métro. Joli roof top vintage avec vue sur l’acropole. Ce boutique hôtel pourrait être vraiment mieux s’il était totalement fini, les plafonds et beaucoup de murs sont laissés brut de décoffrage, c’est un concept mais l’hôtel n’a rien d’industriel donc ça dénote vraiment! Notre chambre n’avait qu’une seule fenêtre qui donnait sur les Wc et la baignoire donc nous étions obligés de fermer les rideaux pour avoir un peu d’intimité (or nous avons été surclassé). Quant à l’environnement, les rues sont bourrées de graffitis et de SDF qui vous empêchent de dormir une bonne partie de la nuit. Malheureusement très déçue surtout à 140€ la nuit!

Also there is a fairly hard sell on items in the hotel, with products and price tags all over the room, while the arrival chat included a point to the online shop. Underbart ställe, mycket vackert, precis lika fint som det ser ut! Personalen var väldigt trevlig, läget toppen! Frukost var jättegod (men för en kaffe-älskare hade det varit trevligt om mer än en cappuccino per person ingick i priset)! Rummen är som ett inredningsmagasin, men var uppmärksamma på att vissa rum inte har avskild toalett (toaletten är bakom ett skynke i rummet).

Our stay was much more than perfect! I really don’t know how I would stay in any place rather than here in terms of comfort, service and design. One of the very best experiences of my stays in a hotel. So thankful to the team and the owners for all the details. A fantastic boutique hotel that easily feels like a strong 4-star property despite its official 3-star rating. The rooms are unique and full of character, the rooftop offers an amazing view of the Parthenon, and the whole hotel has a stylish, hip atmosphere. It delivers far beyond what you’d normally expect from a 3-star hotel. Highly recommended.

The hotel was beautiful designed and the room was great. We had the intimate room which was still great for a couple and so well designed. Had all the amenities you needed - with great bathroom accessories, coffee machine and teas etc all available in room. The iPad with music and easy assistance was also very well done. Breakfast and the space were really lovely and every member of staff were friendly and very helpful with anything you needed. Only stayed for one night but would return and stay longer. The roof terrace is also an amazing space for relaxing and having a drink. Great location easy to walk around the city, get to attractions, the metro and lots of restaurants etc.
