As you drive up through the palm trees, you can tell you’re in for a treat. Peaceful, beautiful grounds surround Casa Hotel Turrire- and include lovely walking trails through the jungle. The rooms are comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.

Nice and charming in nice sourendings. Excellent food. Only one bad thing was that the waterpressure that did not prperly so we could not use the jacuzzi.

Driving up driveway to property, this is stunning! A beautiful palm-tree lined drive that takes you up to a gorgeous manor surrounded by rich vegetation. The check in was easy with an English speaking person at the desk Parking was easy and close. When entering, the architecture was just as described with grand ceilings, inviting spaces with comfortable seating areas. There appeared to be no elevator and we took our bags to our second floor room up the stairs. The two queen bed room was nicely appointed with linens and the balcony beckoned with the birds chattering outside which could be heard through the screen door. Although shaded, the room was HOT - the large ceiling fan did not keep the room at a comfortable temperature. There was no AC. Many aspects of the room, particularly the door and the whole bathroom were VERY dated with cracked tiles, outdated fixtures and old paint. The doors looked dirty and very worn. Although the room was charming with high ceilings, these outdated and dirty features made the room less than luxurious. We were disappointed. Although the decor in the hotel was dated, the main hotel had a wonderful charm. The restaurant was welcoming with good food and good service. The pool and jacuzzi were welcoming but the pool bathrooms were outdated. We did not checkout the spa. There were bikes to use and there were a couple of trails on the gorgeous property. With updates in decor, room cleanliness and room AC, our rating would be higher.

This hotel is old and has some deferred maintenance, but it also has a lot of character. Janice at the front desk was great organizing birding tours and transportation to our next destination. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. the menu was limited but very good. The hotel can be noisy when there are large groups gathering at night. The grounds are beautiful. Hire a guide for the birding. I strongly recommend Danny.

Die alte Hacienda hat viel Charme. Das Haus ist herrlich gelegen und hat Geschichte. Die riesige Eingangshalle mit Lounge, Billiardtisch und kleiner Bibliothek lädt ein zu verweilen und im Pool mit beheiztem Jacuzzi kann man prima entspannen. Die Gegend um das Haus ist sehr pittoresk und man kann früh morgens ein wenig spazieren gehen.

Muy bonita opción para hospedarse fuera de lo tradicional. El hotel es muy bonito y limpio, la zona de la piscina muy bien cuidada. La comida muy rica. Tuvimos un pequeño problema con la llave de la ducha durante la noche y costó encontrar asistencia pero se pudo resolver.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the food excellent and the whole atmosphere was very good. We particularly enjoyed walking in the hotel grounds and listening to the amazing birdsong.

We stayed in the master suite and it is beautiful has a nice large balcony where an entire family could sit out and enjoy. The master suite is divided into two floors the only air conditioner is upstairs bedroom turn it on as soon as you get there and close the door to keep the coolness in. The upstairs bedroom is super nice with a huge hot tub. AT first it wouldn’t seal to fill up then when I did get it to seal, it ran out of hot water before you could fill it up. we got in it anyway when we turned it on black mold came out of it so they hadn’t cleaned it. The restaurant is elegant and pretty the wine was amazing and food was either very good or very bad. The black been soup, the chicken, salads the vegetables and the plantain type mashed potatoes were amazing. The Beef tenderloin and the pork tenderloin tasted like they microwaved it and stuck a sauce on it. It was very tough and difficulty to eat. You might say go somewhere else to eat but where you are there’s nowhere else to eat. They had several nature trails which were really nice to walk make sure you take your umbrella because the rain will come and go and you might get caught in a down poor. Overall I would come back, but would not stay in the master suite and would stick to eating what I know was good.

La atención del personal en general fue excelente! El hotel está ubicado en una zona de clima tropical húmedo, por lo que el calor en cualquier época del año es alto y, el hotel debería tener aire acondicionado en las habitaciones, solo hay un ventilador de techo que en nuestro caso no generó en su nivel más alto, una buena cantidad de aire para mitigar la temperatura por la noche. (visitamos en época lluviosa, por lo que la humedad es mayor!). Las sillas cerca de la piscina están muy sucias, deberían dar un poco de mantenimiento. La iluminación de nuestra habitación era débil (fuimos con otra pareja, la habitación de ellos si tenía buena iluminación). El restaurante del hotel tiene un menú variado y de buen sabor. El desayuno excelente !!! (cerca del hotel no hay restaurantes, dado que se encuentra en un lugar poco alejado del centro de Turrialba (10 - 15 mins en vehículo aprox.)

Definitely a place for the outdoorsy person, old country Lodge. Excellent for a quiet in the country feel. Bedrooms were amazingly large with large beds.

Precioso lugar especial para alejarse del ruido y estrés de la ciudad! Necesita sin embargo mejores u más almohadas para mayor comodidad, sobretodo siendo un lugar donde se busca descansar.

We stayed in the master suite and it is beautiful has a nice large balcony where an entire family could sit out and enjoy. The master suite is divided into two floors the only air conditioner is upstairs bedroom turn it on as soon as you get there and close the door to keep the coolness in. The upstairs bedroom is super nice with a huge hot tub. AT first it wouldn’t seal to fill up then when I did get it to seal, it ran out of hot water before you could fill it up. we got in it anyway when we turned it on black mold came out of it so they hadn’t cleaned it. The restaurant is elegant and pretty the wine was amazing and food was either very good or very bad. The black been soup, the chicken, salads the vegetables and the plantain type mashed potatoes were amazing. The Beef tenderloin and the pork tenderloin tasted like they microwaved it and stuck a sauce on it. It was very tough and difficulty to eat. You might say go somewhere else to eat but where you are there’s nowhere else to eat. They had several nature trails which were really nice to walk make sure you take your umbrella because the rain will come and go and you might get caught in a down poor. Overall I would come back, but would not stay in the master suite and would stick to eating what I know was good.

La atención del personal en general fue excelente! El hotel está ubicado en una zona de clima tropical húmedo, por lo que el calor en cualquier época del año es alto y, el hotel debería tener aire acondicionado en las habitaciones, solo hay un ventilador de techo que en nuestro caso no generó en su nivel más alto, una buena cantidad de aire para mitigar la temperatura por la noche. (visitamos en época lluviosa, por lo que la humedad es mayor!). Las sillas cerca de la piscina están muy sucias, deberían dar un poco de mantenimiento. La iluminación de nuestra habitación era débil (fuimos con otra pareja, la habitación de ellos si tenía buena iluminación). El restaurante del hotel tiene un menú variado y de buen sabor. El desayuno excelente !!! (cerca del hotel no hay restaurantes, dado que se encuentra en un lugar poco alejado del centro de Turrialba (10 - 15 mins en vehículo aprox.)

This hotel is old and has some deferred maintenance, but it also has a lot of character. Janice at the front desk was great organizing birding tours and transportation to our next destination. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. the menu was limited but very good. The hotel can be noisy when there are large groups gathering at night. The grounds are beautiful. Hire a guide for the birding. I strongly recommend Danny.

As you drive up through the palm trees, you can tell you’re in for a treat. Peaceful, beautiful grounds surround Casa Hotel Turrire- and include lovely walking trails through the jungle. The rooms are comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.

Hotel Casa Turire was an elegant treat. The hotel is secluded and surrounded by palms. We loved sitting on our patio and listening to all of the birds. The meals and service were lovely.

L’hôtel est situé dans un cadre magnifique : vastes prairies, lac, forêt tropicale. Il a une ferme attenante (cheveux, chèvres). Des oiseaux magnifiques pépient toute la journée. On s’y sent bien. La atención del personal en general fue excelente! El hotel está ubicado en una zona de clima tropical húmedo, por lo que el calor en cualquier época del año es alto y, el hotel debería tener aire acondicionado en las habitaciones, solo hay un ventilador de techo que en nuestro caso no generó en su nivel más alto, una buena cantidad de aire para mitigar la temperatura por la noche. (visitamos en época lluviosa, por lo que la humedad es mayor!). Las sillas cerca de la piscina están muy sucias, deberían dar un poco de mantenimiento. La iluminación de nuestra habitación era débil (fuimos con otra pareja, la habitación de ellos si tenía buena iluminación). El restaurante del hotel tiene un menú variado y de buen sabor. El desayuno excelente !!! (cerca del hotel no hay restaurantes, dado que se encuentra en un lugar poco alejado del centro de Turrialba (10 - 15 mins en vehículo aprox.)

L’hôtel est situé dans un cadre magnifique : vastes prairies, lac, forêt tropicale. Il a une ferme attenante (cheveux, chèvres). Des oiseaux magnifiques pépient toute la journée. On s’y sent bien. We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday, and this place is absolutely beautiful. The property is peaceful, scenic, and truly feels like a hidden gem. The only concern I had was that the website listed kayaking and lazy river tubing as available activities, but when we arrived, we were informed that they do not currently offer them. I think it would be helpful for future travelers if the website information were updated to avoid confusion. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience. A special shoutout to the staff, they were incredibly sweet, humble, and provided excellent service throughout our stay.
