This hotel came highly recommended by a friend. It is ideally situated 5 minutes\' walk from Piazza San Marco, and the water buses at San Zaccaria which can rake you to the airport in an hour, or to the Santa Lucia train station in 30 minutes. Breakfast is available, served in the palatial first floor dining room by quiet helpful staff. Fresh fruit, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, are all avaliable on b and b basis, but a la carte dishes come at a price and include smoked salmon, avocado, and omelettes cooked to order. The rooms are serviced daily, with fresh towels. A tiny lift takes you up to your room. Our small twin room on the 3rd floor was clean and adequately furnished, and the beds were comfy, but the bathroom needed updating. The shower was over the bath and there was no hand rail to help get in and out, and no slip mat. The nightmare hair dryer was a tube attached to the wall, activated by pulling on it, but pulling on it made it come off the wall and stop.working! It also had extremely low power, so bring your own haurdryer! The front desk staff were extremely helpful and chatty, and provided maps and recommendations of restaurants close by for dinner. They will print off documents if needed. There is a \'garden" on the ground floor, but it is just a small courtyard with a bench and a few plants. There is a little bar by the entrance for aperitifs or nightcaps, but it was always empty, and we got the impression it was more for the night staff to sleep in!

I felt like a princess staying in this room. The chandelier in the bathroom probably cost more than my house! We stayed in the annex and had a beautiful terrace to relax on. The room was spotless and cleaned every day. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning felt great after being out in the sun. It was also very close to the square and the dock where you get dropped off. We only had to walk about 2 blocks with our luggage. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay, staff were so helpful and friendly. We stayed in the annexe which was lovely bright and airy with a small lounge and garden area. The annexe was only about 20 steps over a little bridge from the main hotel, had a secure pin coded door and was lovely and quiet. Our room had a lavazza coffee pod machine with a selection of coffees filled up daily along with a shaded terrace area which was very welcome in August. The whole hotel was spotless, i didnt see a speck of dust - amazing for a 3 star hotel compared to UK standards. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a variety to choose from including pastries, cold meats, cheese and a variety of breads with plenty of strong italian coffee to wash it down. Location was perfect, really central just a few minutes walk to St. Marks square and the grand canal for catching a vaporetto or a gondola. All in all an excellent stay, would definitely recommend!

The location was great with a 5 minute walk to all shopping and St. Marks square. Rooms are small but beautifully decorated. The garden area is best for end of day relaxation. I very much enjoyed the breakfast and terrace area for dining.

All I can say is AMAZING! Our room was small but well appointed and had a beautiful patio with an excellent view of the clock tower. The hotel is close to everything but not too busy/noisy. The staff were lovely and helped us with everything we needed. I would 100% stay here again!

We had a lovely junior suite room for our stay here. The hotel is gorgeous and overlooking a canal. Our room was large with an incredibly comfortable bed. The only problem was the people above us were incredibly noisy banging around in the wee hours of the morning, but thats hardly the hotel’s fault!

This hotel is beautiful, like Venice, and in a great location. However, the staff was outstanding and made this an exceptional stay. Great attitudes, friendly, and extremely helpful. I believe Elianna is one of the names (apologies if I messed that up) but all of the others were great. Booked two tours during the stay, one with the hotel and another online. The hotel-recommended tour was way better and very reasonably priced. The tour guide's name is Serena. Very nice and animated. Watched an NFL game on a computer in the hidden courtyard very late at night. The person at the desk instantly became the bartender. Served us drinks, turned on the heater, all with a smile. Regretted leaving, and hope to get a chance for another stay there someday.

It was a hidden gem. Our Google maps couldn’t find this hotel. Found out later on there is another hotel casa Verardo and another casa verardo close by. So spell out the entire hotel name so you don’t get lost while hauling the luggage.

This hotel location is excellent and 2-3 min walk to St. Marks square. San Zaccaria, when you can get water buses and water taxis, is 5 min walk from this hotel. The only reason I rated it low is that during our stay the AC didn’t work appropriately and with small rooms, it was a bit uncomfortable stay. Otherwise, the hotel is clean, well behaved staff, decent breakfast and quiet rooms.

Wonderful hotel! Can’t say enough about how good this hotel is. It’s minutes away from St Marks square, near a small and beautiful canal. It’s also very close to the vaporetto station, we were did an easy 5 minute walk from the station to the hotel. The rooms are renovated, great beds, and a quiet area. Breakfast is great. Finally, the staff is extremely helpful and nice. I definitely recommend.

We loved our stay, it was delightful. Room was cosy, clean and had a great comfy bed. The property is at the convenient locations, you can reach main areas in just 5 minutes. Staff at the reception, particularly Hansa was great. Polite and helpful. Definitely stay again.
