Friendly, helpful staff. Simple, clean facility. Nice outdoor area with games, bbq area, and a big hot tub. A comfortable room and bed with a beautiful view of Mt. Shasta from our room made it a wonderful place to be!

I would absolutely stay here again! While the property is about a mile outside of “downtown“, the advantage is having tons of parking, peace and quiet, a swimming pool and hot tub and they also have a communal kitchen that is fully furnished! The decor is dated, but you will completely forget about that while enjoying the peace and good vibes.

This property is really close to the Mt Shasta Ski Park which makes it ideal for ski trips with kids or with friends. While my soccer mom days are in the rear view mirror, this property would also be a good choice if you're travelling for sports (with your kids). I travelled with 2 friends and stayed in a double queen room because the suites were all booked. We loved soaking in the hot tub after 2 days of skiing, and enjoyed fabulous sunsets. The free breakie was on par with what you get at extra charge at the chain hotels like Best Western - toast, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit & juice, danish, coffee, cocoa and hot tea. Even better, they had some suprising touches that have convinced me to stay here again, like a communal shared kitchen with basic utensils that we used to make dinner, because we were just too tired to drive into Shasta or elsewhere. The towels were thick and much better quality than I expected and I appreciated the use of paper goods rather than styrofoam. The decor is a bit dated but who cares when you're just staying there to sleep after a fun day outdoors??? Best tip ever from a family friend who regularly stays here.

This motel has been nicely renovated and maintained. Very clean. All rooms have at least a partial view of Mt. Shasta (our room would have a much better view if they would chop down some trees haha). The location is very convenient off the freeway while also being on a quiet side road. It does require a drive into town vs. walking to go to restaurants, etc but the location further from town makes it quieter.

Wonderful older property with beautifully re-done bathrooms. Spacious, clean and comfy bed. We would stay again. Breakfast is packages pastries and fruit - fine for our needs with coffee pot, frig and microwave in the room.

I stayed at this property 3 nights while on a road trip with my 16 year old daughter. The room was clean and quiet. The area was safe and parking was convenient . The staff was helpful.

I liked that they included everything that one needs for a quick get away, and the free breakfast was great. The room did smell a bit like cigarettes though. Besides that I enjoyed my stay and even got to enjoy the hot tub.

Last time I stayed at this hotel was over 10 years ago. It has since been taken over by new management, and recently been totally remodeled. The remodel is very nice, with nice tiled shower and and tasteful redecorating. The beds are very comfortable. The room was nice and clean, TV was wide-screen and functional. The manager was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was just carbs, no protein, but most of the motels in town don't offer anything, so that puts them above. I would stay here again, highly recommended.

Was fine for an overnight stay. Room smelled a bit like stale water. The top cover on the bed had a strange smell and looked worn out. Had to keep windows open to let fresh air in. Otherwise room was in good condition. Breakfast had some nice options.

Very clean and in a good shape room. Nice and clean bathroom. Liked the pillows, one is firm and one is soft (very smart) Just a suggestion: The room paint is off-white, if one of the walls were to be painted in a sharp charming color that would make the room more attractive at first glance.

Pros: Great continental breakfast, very clean, comfy bed, lots of channels on the TV. Cons: The hottub is only open from 3-10 so I missed out on it because my plan was to hit it in the morning. The lighting in the room is pretty awful, very cold white light, no lamps.

Remodel of bathroom is very nice and modern and warm. Lovely view out back window. Pet friendly but pet fee alittle pricey. Could really hear the people moving around above us. Close to sledding and skiing. Hot tub amazing. Pool closed during stay but looked nice.

Very small rooms & bathroom. Beds & pillows were old & lumpy. Breakfast was continental. A nice view tho & quiet. A nice hot tub.

Very nice older property in a great location. Very clean and updated. Very good staff. Rooms are small with a very small bathroom. Water pressure was low at the time i used the shower. wasn't a problem to others who showered, so it must have been the load at the time i used it. Nice continental breakfast.

This hotel was just ok. The pictures are misleading, this is a old hotel in need of updating. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The heater in the room did not work well, but it was enough to be passable. I would not stay here again.

The room, bathroom, and the beds are a bit on the small side and the walls are pretty thin, but beyond that the place was pretty great. Beautiful location and we enjoyed the quality and style of the room.

Nice property but the promised views of Mount Shasta are through the rooms' small back windows. A bit underwhelming. Hotel is far from downtown restaurants yet charges the same as those in town.

Very reasonably priced, updated facilities, easy access off the highway. Office was supposed to be open at night and "Open" signed on the door, but didn\'t answer the phone and door was locked when we had a problem. It was 11:30 and I woke him up. Also a hanging multiple plug in extension cord cord had alot of things hooked up to it and had to unplug something to plug the microwave in and switch it back.

We love the Swiss Holiday Lodge! This is our second stay and both visits were great. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Great coffee for breakfast! We'll be back!

Very convenient location to the ski resort, and close to the freeway. No road noise at all; very private place. Short drive to town. The hosts were very friendly and helpful during our stay.

I can't express how much we loved this lodge. Wonderful, friendly and informative staff. We got info on what to do in town and the hot tub was open every night. I'm already counting the days until we return. Highly recommend!

Pleasant surprise. We were exhausted and were pleased to find easy parking with a trailer, friendly staff at 1am, very clean room (towels eve even smelled like laundry soap). The loop to northbound I-5 to US by has stations asks a Starbucks with very nice employees. Great area, great place to stay.

We reserved two double beds. Checked in an around 8pm and manager said he gave our room to a disabled woman who needed to be on the first floor. Although, at first in was silently annoyed I understood a person w/ a disability cold not use the stairs. However, I later found out the room (that I reserved w/ 2 beds) he gave to her was on the second floor. Made no sense.

This motel has been nicely renovated and maintained. Very clean. All rooms have at least a partial view of Mt. Shasta (our room would have a much better view if they would chop down some trees haha). The location is very convenient off the freeway while also being on a quiet side road. It does require a drive into town vs. walking to go to restaurants, etc but the location further from town makes it quieter.

just needed a place to get a quick nap in before taking on the hike up mt shasta. about the closest property to the clear creek trail head but still an hour away. ez check in. clean spacious room. would recommend as a jump off spot but was only there for about 3 hours so don’t know how the amenities were beyond the room as I departed at 2am well before the complimentary breakfast.

Very reasonably priced, updated facilities, easy access off the highway. Office was supposed to be open at night and "Open" signed on the door, but didn\'t answer the phone and door was locked when we had a problem. It was 11:30 and I woke him up. Also a hanging multiple plug in extension cord cord had alot of things hooked up to it and had to unplug something to plug the microwave in and switch it back.

The place is small and is not in the town center, so it is very quiet, even the traffic from I-5 down the hill is hard to hear. Guests can watch Mount Shasta quitely from every room.

Very convenient location to the ski resort, and close to the freeway. No road noise at all; very private place. Short drive to town. The hosts were very friendly and helpful during our stay.

I would absolutely stay here again! While the property is about a mile outside of “downtown“, the advantage is having tons of parking, peace and quiet, a swimming pool and hot tub and they also have a communal kitchen that is fully furnished! The decor is dated, but you will completely forget about that while enjoying the peace and good vibes.

The staff is very friendly. The place was cute and affordable. The grounds are well kept and there is a beautiful view of Mount Shasta from each room. It’s off the main strip, so it’s not as crowded. I loved it!

Nice property but the promised views of Mount Shasta are through the rooms' small back windows. A bit underwhelming. Hotel is far from downtown restaurants yet charges the same as those in town.

Wonderful older property with beautifully re-done bathrooms. Spacious, clean and comfy bed. We would stay again. Breakfast is packages pastries and fruit - fine for our needs with coffee pot, frig and microwave in the room.

Hot tub was warm…not hot and there was no way to turn up the temperature. Shasta Mtn view was blocked by trees. Free breakfast but no dining room so you had to bring it back to the room to eat. This is the closest hotel to the Shasta Ski Park and delivers good value for the price.

Last time I stayed at this hotel was over 10 years ago. It has since been taken over by new management, and recently been totally remodeled. The remodel is very nice, with nice tiled shower and and tasteful redecorating. The beds are very comfortable. The room was nice and clean, TV was wide-screen and functional. The manager was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was just carbs, no protein, but most of the motels in town don't offer anything, so that puts them above. I would stay here again, highly recommended.

This property is really close to the Mt Shasta Ski Park which makes it ideal for ski trips with kids or with friends. While my soccer mom days are in the rear view mirror, this property would also be a good choice if you're travelling for sports (with your kids). I travelled with 2 friends and stayed in a double queen room because the suites were all booked. We loved soaking in the hot tub after 2 days of skiing, and enjoyed fabulous sunsets. The free breakie was on par with what you get at extra charge at the chain hotels like Best Western - toast, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit & juice, danish, coffee, cocoa and hot tea. Even better, they had some suprising touches that have convinced me to stay here again, like a communal shared kitchen with basic utensils that we used to make dinner, because we were just too tired to drive into Shasta or elsewhere. The towels were thick and much better quality than I expected and I appreciated the use of paper goods rather than styrofoam. The decor is a bit dated but who cares when you're just staying there to sleep after a fun day outdoors??? Best tip ever from a family friend who regularly stays here.

It was good. The breakfast space is bad. No tables to sit at. It was crowded, the office is small, at breakfast time, they bring out a coup of tables with all the breakfast stuff, leaving just enough room to walk around. The staff, room, hot tub, and pool were all very good. This is an older hotel but they have done a good job maintaining and updating the property. The views of Mt Shasta are spectacular especially while enjoying the hot tub! The breakfast was good, more of a continental style and the set up is in the lobby due to space limitations however there is ample outdoor seating including those with a view of Shasta.

To start off, we were very happy with how cute the set up of his lodge was. However, the room was extremely small, that was OK, we are not picky. The reason why I would never recommend this lodge… On an extended road trip wanting to make it the best for the kiddo. Pay the extra for the place w/a pool. Otherwise would have gotten a cheap hotel out of town if it was just a place to crash. We checked in just shortly before the pool closed so I promised my eight-year-old son that we can use the pool the next day Check out is at 11 AM, as well as the pool opening at 11 AM. So we patiently waited for the pool to open as I promised he can swim for a little bit before we hit the road. The moment my eight year-old child jumped into the pool, a young staff member rushed over and told us we could not swim since its the day we are checking out. Wow. I have stayed in many hotels and have never experienced this. I then had to tell my kid to get out of the pool just seconds after he jumped in, even though there was not one patron other than us. As well as we were being quiet and respectful, we were still informed we were not allowed to use the pool.. I was under the impression we paid for use of. Shocking. For the rest of the trip, I joked about it with other hotel managers when I asked if we can use the pool after checkout and they said yes, of course. I regret spending so much money thinking the pool was an option the next day and for such a tiny room. Complete waste.
