The hotel was budget friendly but it was just that. Rooms were clean, but walls seem to be paper thin. Could hear guest slamming door and running up the halls. Pool(which is indoor) was closed, but we were not made aware of until we walked to it. The only reason we booked this hotel was the indoor pool. Breakfast was a waffle maker, cold cereal and some no flavor eggs(from a mix) and I am guessing sausage. Location is good for shops and outlets. A ways from Busch gardens though. In the end, you get what you pay for. Will probably not stay here again as we feel there are better option available but sufficed for this trip.

We did a quick 2 night stay to enjoy time for birthdays at Busch gardens and we found a great priced hotel that offered a clean environment and nice little breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable also next to lots of shopping and dinning. I would say they need to get some air circulating in the pool area because it’s so hot and muggy in there from no air flow it’s hard to stay long but other than that great stay!

Wonderful hotel. Newer property and very modern room. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Only two minor issues—self-serve breakfast area was small and very crowded and the only ice machine was on the first floor (we were on 3). Other than that a great motel.

Everything was great...very little parking right at the hotel if you are late coming in. Hotel is very clean and presentable. Morning breakfast is good but busy! Would highly recommend this for stays in this area.

I stayed at a Wyndham hotel after years as I wanted to crash for the night after a long day at the park. The hotel was good and clean but I had some issues with the room where the water from the tap was too slow and bathroom was not very well maintained. I was highly disappointed with the breakfast and it was very average, they did not refill the food very often and they did not have any options for vegetarians apart from bread or cereals. The fridge was empty throughout and I was expecting them to refill with yogurt or something else. They also have electric car chargers which is a big plus as I drive a Tesla. All in all a good stay if you dont expect much from the breakfast.

The hotel was clean including the pool area. The accommodations were accommodating. There was not a place to hang clothing that was efficient. And the breakfast was not the greatest. Please note the railroad is directly behind the hotel and can be frustrating if you are trying to sleep.

Liked that we had a fridge and microwave to help us save money on eating out. Renovation was nice-loved the curtains for sleeping in. Plenty of pillows. Room smelled funny, though. Nice heated pool. Breakfast was decent but not enough room for the amount of guests on the weekend. Also not enough elevators for the size of the hotel…often had to wait, but we did not mind all of this as we were not in a rush, the price was great, and the location was convenient to the attractions. I noticed negative reviews on the staff, but they were fine for us. Not over-the-top friendly but not unhelpful, either. They were just there. Really great place to stay overall.

The breakfast food was ok. Not that many choices. As for the EV charging it is for Tesla cars only so I wasn’t able to charge my Jeep. Staff were very friendly. Not to much noise. We did hear a train and a few big trucks but nothing that would keep you awake. The pool was freezing so we didn’t really swim. The beds were comfortable and well kept.

While the room looks immaculately clean, there is a serious underlying water issue, maybe condensation from AC. In the morning, my clothes felt damp, a cardboard box was damp, and then I noticed above the shower on the ceiling there was black mold! Very gross air quality due to dampness.

Check-in was smooth and easy. The room looked cleaned and well kept. However, the morning after our first (and only night) I woke up to go to the bathroom and found a cockroach. When I told this to the front desk attendant they were unphased. No apology or anything to offer. When I asked what could be done she said the manager was not there and I should look to Expedia for any kind of refund. Expedia was very responsive and quickly called them but the property only was willing to give us a very small percentage back. Cockroaches are not only upsetting but speaks to their hygiene. It should be taken seriously. An apology at the very least would have nice.

The room was dirty, the floor turned the bottom of my socks black. The paint was peeling off of the walls. The room was damp the entire stay, it made the bedding and everything in my room damp. The bathroom sink had no hot water. And the tub was peeling paint as well. The breakfast that was offered was decent, however the coffee runs out after only a few patrons.

The floor was wet and room smelled a lot like mildew and a moldy smell which seemed to come from leaking AC unit. When I told the front attendant she said they were sold out and told they couldn’t get us another room. Gave Wyndham a try but never ever again.

Nice hotel for a good price. It is obviously an older hotel but very clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We will stay there again.

Front desk was helpful and friendly. The room was nice and the beds were comfotable. The room did take a while to cool down and had a bit of a musty smell. The fridge also didnt get very cold. Excellent location.

Room was very clean and comfortable. There is a train track nearby, so if you are sensitive to noise, you may want to reconsider. I didn’t hear the train personally though.

Unfortunately I wanted to like this place but just can’t recommend. Our first room had no hot water. Gave it two days then had to move to a different room. Then that room had a leaky a/c unit and the carpet became soaked. Had to move rooms again. That one was better. There is a train that runs right behind the hotel which runs at all hours of the night and early morning. Woke us up each time it ran by. Beds were ok nothing special. Just can’t recommend based on the train alone.

I have never been in a hotel that didn't provide a closet area to hang clothes. There were three hooks on the bedroom wall but that was it. No closet, no hangers nowhere to hang anything. Luckily we were on a casual warm weather trip and didn't have anything that needed hanging.

Hotel was conveniently located, average condition. Check-in was smooth. My main complaint was the humidity in the room. The sheets were literally wet and stuck to you. It was like sleeping on wet beach towels all night—so uncomfortable—didn’t get much rest. You can tell it’s a chronic problem because the drywall was bubbled in the room. Would not be surprised if there was a mold problem. I expected better from this hotel chain. Breakfast was decent but very crowded.

Water pressure in thw rooms are not only low, you have to run thw water for more than a minute for the sink or tub to get hot water. The rooms were clean; however it smells of mildew. In addition if you are staying for business there is no where to hang your clothes only a dresser to put your clothes in. Could use an upgrade.

The TV worked intermittently. The rooms and hotel were humid and damp. The air conditioner was so loud and noisy it was hard to sleep. The front desk and other staff were rude.

The desk attendant mistakenly charged my card for a renewal. However, after many telephone calls to my bank, the Wyndham Corporate offices, and Hotels.com in addition to several visits to the hotel desk clerk, the matter was resolved relatively quickly. The power in the room failed four times. The breaker kept tripping. I was told my room was the only one with this problem. The management offered to move me, but I was leaving the next day, tired, and 55+. It would have been a major inconvenience. Paula, the morning/afternoon desk clerk was kind enough to offer to check the breaker box often during her shift to make sure there was no tripping. She is a kind young lady and very supportive of guest needs. However, when the afternoon/evening desk clerk, Nick, reported for duty the power went down two times. When I called and asked him to check the breaker box, he raised his voice at me and said he was busy checking in guests and that he would get to it whenever he had time. I reminded him I too am a guest. He could stand to learn better customer service skills. The cleaning is awful. There were four cobwebs in my room, a piece of candy, a dried pasta shell, a large dead insect, and a piece of candy wrapper on the carpet when I checked in. There were also four caterpillars in my room and food flies during the last few days of my stay.
The desk attendant mistakenly charged my card for a renewal. However, after many telephone calls to my bank, the Wyndham Corporate offices, and Hotels.com in addition to several visits to the hotel desk clerk, the matter was resolved relatively quickly. The power in the room failed four times. The breaker kept tripping. I was told my room was the only one with this problem. The management offered to move me, but I was leaving the next day, tired, and 55+. It would have been a major inconvenience. Paula, the morning/afternoon desk clerk was kind enough to offer to check the breaker box often during her shift to make sure there was no tripping. She is a kind young lady and very supportive of guest needs. However, when the afternoon/evening desk clerk, Nick, reported for duty the power went down two times. When I called and asked him to check the breaker box, he raised his voice at me and said he was busy checking in guests and that he would get to it whenever he had time. I reminded him I too am a guest. He could stand to learn better customer service skills. The cleaning is awful. The staff was far from welcoming. They were rude and when I arrive shortly after the check in time (4pm), they looked like at me I was out of crazy because I wanted my room. I had somewhere to be at 6pm and needed to freshen up. They told me to sit down in the lobby and they’d be with me shortly. SEVERAL other families checked in before I was told my room was ready.

We only stayed for one night but unfortunately felt a little disappointed by our experience. We rented two rooms, one of which had two of our kids and a grandparent in it. About two hours after check-in, a stranger walked into their room after letting himself in with a key card. Apparently the front desk had forgotten to mark the room occupied and gave a key card to this man for it. Luckily nothing happened, but it was scary for the kids and parents nonetheless. Both rooms smelled and felt damp - like an indoor pool. The sink in our bathroom was also clogged.

We have always had such bad luck with hotels, but we were so incredibly pleased with how smooth this entire stay was. The staff was responsive, friendly, and professional. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was relaxing, and the breakfast was a huge win for my family. At one point, there was a rowdy neighbor across the hallway late at night, and when we called the front desk, they dealt with it immediately. Within 5 minutes it was all quiet again. Thank you, Wingate and staff, for a wonderful experience.

The staff was so nice and helpful, and check-in was so fast. You can tell the building is old and it could use some updating, including soundproofing (we heard everything going on in the hallway), but the location was great and the price was good.

It was all pretty clean. Just seemed to get noisy. You could hear people running through the halls. Didn't read about the train behind the hotel. Not that they can help it but it did come through a few times while we stayed there. Otherwise it was clean and comfortable and we didn't have any issues

I stayed at a Wyndham hotel after years as I wanted to crash for the night after a long day at the park. The hotel was good and clean but I had some issues with the room where the water from the tap was too slow and bathroom was not very well maintained. I was highly disappointed with the breakfast and it was very average, they did not refill the food very often and they did not have any options for vegetarians apart from bread or cereals. The fridge was empty throughout and I was expecting them to refill with yogurt or something else. They also have electric car chargers which is a big plus as I drive a Tesla. All in all a good stay if you dont expect much from the breakfast.

Liked that we had a fridge and microwave to help us save money on eating out. Renovation was nice-loved the curtains for sleeping in. Plenty of pillows. Room smelled funny, though. Nice heated pool. Breakfast was decent but not enough room for the amount of guests on the weekend. Also not enough elevators for the size of the hotel…often had to wait, but we did not mind all of this as we were not in a rush, the price was great, and the location was convenient to the attractions. I noticed negative reviews on the staff, but they were fine for us. Not over-the-top friendly but not unhelpful, either. They were just there. Really great place to stay overall.

Loud trains come by occasionally. Long lines at the breakfast buffet make breakfast a less than enjoyable experience. The way the setup is organized at breakfast is not conducive to easy access to the waffle maker and other offering. Toilet seat was very loose on the toilet. The check in attendant was not welcoming and did not talk clearly or in a friendly manner. They weren't mean either. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and comfortable.

I love the breakfast!! Whoever oversees the breakfast items and service deserves a promotion. The eggs are fresh the sausages are fresh. I have been to other places that service complete breakfast and this is by far the best. Keep up the good work. I want to mention I only eat breakfast when I travel. I am not a breakfast person.

Quick and easy check in. Nothing fancy but room appeared clean. There had been some quick fixes and patch work done in the bathroom that did not seem the best but nothing to deter me from staying there. Overall we had a great stay.

Nice place to stay the night for business folks. The gym is well-equipped. Good location. Pricing very reasonable. Breakfast above average (included multiple hotbar options of bacon+eggs+carbs (potato chunks / hashbrowns). The first room I stayed in felt a bit mildewy but it was clean and I rested well and had what I needed. The cleaning staff were very nice. I planned to only stay 1 night but needed more time so checked in again. Would definitely stay again on a business trip to Greenville.

Stayed 5 nights with my 11 year old son. Hotel is family and kid friendly, room was clean and spacious with mini refrigerator and microwave. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. Pool area was nice and clean with seats and pool towels available to use. Breakfast was good. All five days they had waffle makers available, scrambled eggs, sausage links, 2 types of cereal, yogurt cups, toast, and juice. They had a fancy coffee machine that did lattes, cappuccinos, coffee etc. but in my personal opinion the coffee out of the machine wasn’t good. I was so happy on the last 2 mornings when the machine was out of order and they had normal coffee available. Laundry room was clean and well kept. I used it twice during my stay. $3 to wash $3 to dry, quarters or they have a pay app you can use. Hotel is convenient location to many attractions, stores, and food. Would stay again if I’m in the area and recommend as a great choice to stay with kids.
