We were in town due to a death in the family and ened up staying 11 nights. The location has easy access to everything and tons of places to eat on Hall Rd. It has a nice pool although we never used it many guest did, spacious room with all the amenaties you could ask for. Free guest laundry area was nice with 4 washers and 5 dryers. I would stay there again for sure.

The hotel was great. Friendly staff, pool was open, plenty of parking, coffee in the lobby 24hrs. We stayed for Metallica weekend and took the bus from nearby Hamlin Pub. Lots to do in the area, but the hotel was quiet. Would stay again. Nice to cook breakfast and late night snacks in our room.

Ryan at the night desk was outstanding! He was helpful and kind. Very professional. We enjoyed the kitchen facility in room! The exercise room was great. Wonderful coffee in lobby. We will come again. Health issues and chemo therapy are going on at Henry Ford Hospitsl and only a short drive away. Due to this situation we appreciated the quality of this hotel. I have told others about the convenience!

Great hotel, very clean, kitchenette is very nice, dishes, pots, pans provided. Was on ground level near laundry, fitness room and elevators with very little noise. Great AC system. If you want to brew your own coffee, bring coffee filters so you don't have to use the supplies coffee packs

Check in was quick, room is big and beds are comfortable. Nice having the full fridge and kitchenette, as well as separate bedroom. Pool looked clean, coffee is fresh. My room was a bit dusty but overall great stay.

We have stayed here several times in the past. Unfortunately this time the room smelled bad, like a gym locker room. Normally the rooms are spotless. This time the bathroom floor & walls were dirty along with the bar odor.

I could hear people slamming doors all night, and i could hear dogs barking. A/c unit was extremely loud. Only thing included for breakfast was coffee, and the front desk staff wasnt sure how to get that to work. I def wont be back. Room was clean but everything else was not worth the money.

The room was very spacious and the beds were really comfortable. Unfortunately, the pool was temporarily closed and that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel, and our room didn’t have a shower curtain, which was really weird. I would stay here again.

My room electric plugs didn’t work an the usb was broken red stains on carpet the floor still had stuff on it when entered the room no silverware had to go to the front desk they gave plastic spoons so I couldn’t cook

Didn't quite get the room I thought I had reserved, but that wasn't a huge deal (expected a walk-in shower, got a tub). The bummer was ending up in one of those adjoining rooms. People on the other side weren't even being loud, but could hear them almost as if they were sitting next to me. Whatever they cooked in there came right through those doors, too.

The biggest problem was, during a 4 day stay, we advised the desk on the 2nd day that the toilet was leaking around its base. They said they's fix it and it was never addressed. Unfortunately, we had to use all our towels to contain the leaking and after a certain time in the evening there were no other towels available. The walls are not very sound resistent-on our second and third nights, there was a baby next door that cried almost the entire night.

Paid for a king room. Arrived at 1pm and asked if we could secure the room (without needing to go to the room) check in and have the keys, even if the room wasn’t clean yet, as we knew we were going to be arriving back late after our event and didn’t want to risk having our room given to someone else. Answer was NO. Employee said room would not be given away. Got back at 10pm. Got the room key and noticed the invoice said Queen bed. I said I paid for king, employee said there are none left. If we had it reserved, why were there none left. Went up to the room, bed was a mess, basket of towels on the floor…room hadn’t been cleaned. Back down to the lobby, had to give us another room. After all that, the room was clean and comfortable.

The manager Joe personally called me when he was off to respond to multiple calls not returned by other managers. He took his time and listened to my concern. He quickly revolved the issue. All front desk and housekeepers were very nice and friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks also to Cam for relaying the message that resulted in a same day call back!

We chose this location as my mom was in a nearby hospital at the time I booked it. That and it was close to Buddy's Pizza and National Coney Island, which are two places we need to visit when we get to the Detroit area. The room and lobby were pleasing and very nice. I would book there again if the need comes up.

This hotel is on a main thoroughfare that has all the stores you need for convenience i.e dollar store, grocery, malls, home improvement, etc. Next time I am in the Detroit area, I will be staying at the Candlewood. Clean rooms and facility in a convenient area.

This property is newer and super nice! Everything is updated. I was a little surprised there wasn’t a continental breakfast and the coffee station could Use an upgrade but overall the place is great!

Bed was very hard and car alarm out side my room was sounding every hour all night long. Never got any sleep. Workout room smelled of old sweat and there weee no towels and garbage overflowing. Check in person was the only nice thing about my stay.
