Very kind reception for our early evening check in Coffee, tea,cold water, dvd movies, books, board games, dog toys all available for all to enjoy Great recommendations for local sites and bites On a small bluff above the beach with a very large lawn area, fire pit, and easy stair access to the beach below. Our guest room had a front door to the parking lot and a back door opening to a large covered patio, the lawn and beach.

Easy check in. Very quaint place. Old for sure, but everything was working. Bed was pretty firm, but got a good nights sleep. Pillows are pretty flat. Best part is just the location. Walk out back door to covered patio, benches, chairs. Then a grass area with a fire pit leading to stairs to go down to the beach. It's probably about 150-200 FT, so not far at all. Great stay!

Has a great view of the beach from benches along the cliff. What a great view of the sunset last night, awesome. Nice set of stairs down to the beach. Such easy access to a stroll next to the waves.

This place is like the cleanest, most “Oregon Coast thoughtful” roadside hotel I’ve ever been stayed. Rooms cleans. Beds comfy. Heater in the bathroom. Nice person on check out. Nice person on checkout. And probably the most incredible beach access on the coast. Incredible incredible view from the back (covered) patio. Picnic tables and chairs (in the field for sunny moments, under nice cover when not). Board games, movies, a wall of books, and local knowledge of the area.

Very clean. Coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave in room. Very quiet even though it’s on 101. Highly recommend an ocean facing room. Best part: you can walk barefoot from your room down to a beautiful beach. Lovely place!

Lovely, path directly to beach. Room was spacious with extra seating, clean, comfortable, with all amenities (fridge, microwave, etc.). Nice bathroom too. Very nice!

It is very nice set up . You have your own fenced in outside area with picnic table . Steps from the beach . Room are updated and very clean and spacious. Only downside was we got room 20 , which is clover to Hwy 101. So lots of traffic noise.

Large area behind hotel overlooking the ocean. Picnic tables and bbq grills a Chairs and benches are available while looking at the ocean. Watching the sunset was spectacular. Room was very clean and parking was at the door. Staff was friendly and answered questions regarding the area. Many restaurants are available with an about 15 minute drive. Worth the drive to enjoy the piece and the property has. Would stay again if in area!

The smell of bleach in the room was terrible. We left and kept the windows open for a few hours while we went to dinner. We were able to tolerate it, but not pleasant.

The room reeked of bleach like the second you walked in. That’s all you smell the whole time. I just felt like I was breathing in chemicals. It was horrible. The bed was uncomfortable. The room was small and the furniture and appliances were ancient and almost unusable. I really don’t know why this place has such good reviews?! It’s terrible! Just because the people are nice doesn’t mean anything. I had a horrible time. It was a scary stinky motel room. I would not recommend this place at all.

The room was super clean and nicely decorated. Comfy plush bedding, cute cozy and neat decor, proximity to the gorgeous beach, friendliness of the staff..it was the best motel experience ever. Frankly, it was better than most higher end hotel experiences. I highly recommend and I would seek out this motel to stay at next time I need to stay in the area.

Excellent option for a road trip waypoint. Staff was super friendly. All good things to say except for the overwhelming smell of bleach in the room. I had to wipe everything down, including the floor and leave the windows open for a few hours to make it passable. I’ve read other reviews stating the same. Switch to a non-bleach cleaner and this would be a 10/10. Great location.

This hotel is small and old, but I loved it. It was very clean, well cared for, and provided all the comforts possible. I loved the covered but open space that reveled a flat area that was walkable to the beach when we stepped out the back door. The cute electric fireplace was a sweet touch. The bed was very comfortable and had crisp clean linens. I definitely would stay there again.

We love staying here, it is a quiet oceanfront spot on the coast of Oregon away from the bustle and crowds. The staff is fantastic and the rooms are always clean. At the back of the property are benches to sit on to enjoy the coastal view, or you can take the stairs down so you can walk along a beautiful, quiet beach. Cell coverage, in general, is not great along the coast, but they have great WiFi so you can stay in touch or look things up. The beds are very comfortable and we slept great. We do bring our own pillows because we are generally picky about those no matter where we are. We love eating at the Hilltop Cafe in Waldport when we come here. It’s close and really good food! Yachats and Newport are not far off you want more options. You can’t go wrong staying here, it’s a cute, clean, quiet oceanfront spot to enjoy.

Great little gem, friendly staff, beautiful view. Rooms are older, but very nice and updated. My only complaint would be that it would be nice to have a bigger tv. Hard to see from bed. Lol!!

Our expectations were high, as the room was ranked 9.6/10. It's nice enough, and clean, but I 'd rank it 7/10. The mattress is fine, but not high end. The furniture is old but serviceable. The breakfast consists of whole fruit and donuts from a box. The management is excellent, with friendly, helpful employees.

The room was very clean and the bed was soft and comfortable. The idea of a throwback motel style lodging was cute. In reality, the walls are thin and we could hear our neighboring room’s occupants each time they used their bathroom. The door had air leaking around it and made for a chilly and damp feeling room. While the property faces the ocean with nothing blocking it, there is a wide expanse of grass before the beach area and the ocean sounds are too far away to really hear them. Also, the beach area is a very narrow strip of sand against a tall cliff. The front desk clerks were very friendly and were an asset to the company but we wouldn’t choose to stay again.

I have been to this cute little motel few times now. One thing to be very aware before booking this location is if you are a traveller that requires phone service or wifi to do remote work it can be quite a problem. During our stay the wi-fi network was extremely intermittent (basically unusable). And what made things worse was the phone reception is so poor that there is no LTE or 3G service signal at all. But other than that... beautiful location and great staff.

It was a nice stop along the coast. The property looked a little older, but very clean and friendly. Little warm at night, during summer. Could have used a fan, but otherwise, nice!

Easy parking. However, if you choose to pay the the property, this hotel does not honor that. Come to find out, they charge your card days before your arrival and make it near impossible to refund that if you planned to pay with another card. Rather shady business practice.

I accidentally checked into a non-view room and had a short window to get down to the beach before sunset. There was no way to upgrade the room, except going through Expedia and waiting for more time than I had , even though the hotel was mostly vacant. It was very disappointing.

A bit dated. Many areas need some paint touch up. Too bad the rear of property isnt watered. What a lovely lawn there could be.

We were very impressed with our stay, The staff is super friendly and the rooms are clean, comfortable and great for the age of the place and our pet was welcomed. The property has a great beach view and stairs to access the beach.

Friendly helpful staff that truly made our stay convenient and comfortable. We were running late, as always, and the staff that leaves promptly at 9 not only called to warn us, but made special arrangements so we could conveniently check in. Big spacious rooms and quiet. Would definitely stay again next time in or through town

Arrived at the property, and the hostess/desk clerk was very nice. Slightly hard to find our room and had to pass by the room next door’s 2 barking dogs. Found the room. Very nice, clean and nice view of ocean with picnic table on shared patio( with the dogs). Almost immediately we were told by our neighbor’s with the dogs that there was a Tsunami alert for the area(low and close to the beach), and they had decided to leave. .. The desk clerk had failed to mention this. I returned to the desk, and she did verify that there was an alert on, and showed me an escape route map if the evacuation sirens came on. Hmmmm. Rather than stay up all night to wait for the sirens we decided to leave. The next day I called Expedia to ask for a refund. They called the motel and the person they spoke with (a man) said there would be no refund and hung up on the Expedia representative. I really feel this was not a very good way to handle the situation- there were plenty of vacancies, and we did not use any of the rooms facilities. Not like they turned others away! They could have at least offered to give us a credit for another date. The place was cute and clean and appeared comfortable, and has a wonderful location right on the beach -really perfect if no Tsunami threat. We will of course not be returning because of the poor customer service attitude.

This mid-century motel is comfortable and has a friendly staff. They were able to tell me about activities in the area, as well as best photography areas. The best thing about this motel is its location. It's on a cliff above uncrowded Tillicum beach with easy stair access from the property. I will definitely stay here again.

This is an older property but large & clean. Staff were friendly & helpful. It is 3.5 miles from the delightful town center. The best part is that you walk through a grass area, down a flight of stairs to a wonderful quiet beach.

This was a very clean simple motel, nice size room & comfortable beds. It is oceanfront but it is on a cliff with a long staircase down to a beautiful secluded beach. We booked thinking it was in Yachats but It is a couple miles to town & so not in walking distance to anything, if that is important.

Enjoyed the beach front motel. Clean, comfortable bed, morning coffee and donuts. Was a great location for driving north along the coast we would definitely stay here again and recommend it too.

It was nice. I like the back deck with picnic tables. Easy beach access. Not wirth 250-300.00 a night. It is over priced. Breakfast is fruit ( apples and oranges) and donuts. Coffee was not good. Not the worst place I've stayed on the coast and not the best.

We had a great time. The motel was very clean, comfortable bed, welcoming friendly staff and service. The location is excellent with beautiful view of the ocean and fantastic local restaurants nearby. The bathroom shower was wonderful with hot water and terrific water pressure and provided shampoo, conditioner and body gel in a cool dispenser. A high recommendation!!!

I loved this place. When I checked in, I was given a bag of goodies for my dog (Including a bowl, treats, poop bag, towels and a sleeping mat). Right on the beach. Great area for walking around. The front desk clerk gave me valuable guidance on local restaurants and places to see.

Fantastic location for the view and walk on the beach. Nice remodel for age of building. Comfy bed and great hot water and pressure. So so coffee and doughnut situation

The staff was warm and welcoming upon arrival. The room was clean and perfect for what we needed it for. Had a nice patio with a small bbq. I loved that there was a path to the beach. They offer fruit, donuts, coffee & tea in the morning. Overall a super cute place at a great price. Would definitely stay here again!!!

This was advertised as a beachfront property, but our room had the view of a car with a flat tire, NOT the beach. The bathroom sink had no room for toiletries. The rest of the room was spacious and well appointed with plenty of outlets and comfortable bed. Good shower and towels. Only a donut and coffee for breakfast.

Great location steps from the beach. Staff very friendly. Close to yummy food. I would definitely stay there again.
