Elite Bay Hotel Lalez Durres

A true 4-star experience! We don't understand why they only have 3 stars. We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, which in our opinion could and should have 4 stars instead of 3! The rooms were beyond expectations – wonderfully large, spacious and with plenty of space to relax. The outdoor areas were incredibly beautiful, and everything was swept and cleaned meticulously every single day. It was a real pleasure to move around. The location is also top notch. You can walk directly from the hotel to the sun loungers on the beach via a cozy, landscaped tiled walkway – super easy and very nicely done. The staff also deserve high praise. They were incredibly nice, smiling and welcoming throughout the entire stay. The only small minus for us was the breakfast. The selection was a bit limited, and we missed a little more variety. But having said that, the rest of the hotel's high standard absolutely outshines this. We simply don't understand why the hotel is only rated 3 stars on Hotels.com. It fully lives up to a 4-star experience, and we would love to return!

We had a lovely 4 night stay here,traveling as a couple. Smooth check in experience. They ensured good communication prior to arrival, and arranged a taxi when we landed, although we had not mentioned it beforehand, at a reasonable cost. Well equipped rooms. Quiet and good sleep quality. Air conditioning was a bit sub par. The beach was clean and quiet, brilliant blue waters. Food on the beach is limited. Hotel food was good, though vegetarian options are limited. Location is a bit isolated, and you would need a car or taxi to explore anything other than the immediate locality. Breakfast was included and had a good spread. Pool is nice and clean and photogenic. Special mention to Ornella at reception, Vildma and Philip in the restaurant (apologies if I've misspelled your names!) who went the extra mile to take care of us, including a packed breakfast on the last day for our early checkout. Would definitely visit again!
