Fantastic stay at L'HÔTEL du LAC, Hanoi I stayed at L'HÔTEL du LAC for a week and a half in October and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is perfectly located in Hanoi’s Old Quarter — close to many sights, cafés, and shops, yet quiet enough for a restful stay. My room was spotless, very comfortable, and well maintained throughout my visit. The staff were exceptional — genuinely warm, attentive, and with great attention to detail. Their hospitality really made my stay memorable. The hotel’s **Le Ciel Sky Bar** is a highlight — the evening city views are beautiful, and the cocktails are creative and expertly made. I also visited **La Maison Spa**, where I had one of the best massages I’ve ever had — truly first-class service. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Hanoi, and I’d happily stay again!

Normally I don't give reviews for hotels. I stay at many hotels that I have gold status but this time at this hotel I simply want to tell something . The staffs and I express that all staffs are so nice and helpful as I have not experienced in other hotels. breakfast is varied so you don't get the same kind of breakfast every day. you get autentisk vietnamese breakfast too. The staff at breakfast were also sweet and helpful. The hotel also has a rooftop bar with 360 degree views of the city. The cocktails tasted amazing and again the staff at the rooftop bar were superb We really really enjoyed our stay.

Clean and cute rooms, loved the rooftop bar, the staff was super friendly. For us, the highlight was the breakfast, better than all other places we stayed at. We still talk about it a week later! We enjoyed our stay very much. The one downside was that we could hear a little bit the noise from the hallway, but not too much. I would still say the place was quiet, we slept well.

大きくないホテルですがとてもオススメです。 まず立地が良いです、ハノイの市街をいろいろ歩きましたが、ホテル周辺には美味しいフォー、バインミーなどありますし、ちょうどいいお土産屋さんもたくさんあります。湖までは歩いてすぐで、夜９時過ぎでも安心して歩けました。 そして、スタッフの方々のおもてなしが素晴らしかったです。チェックイン時のウェルカムドリンクのハーブティとドライフルーツが美味しくて、お土産に購入しました。滞在中はホテルに帰るたび笑顔で迎えてくれて安心です。 チェックアウト後も、荷物預かりはもちろん、着替えとシャワーのために部屋を貸していただけましたし、最後にはプチギフトをいただき、至れり尽くせりでした。 朝食も充実していて美味しかったです。部屋も清潔で広いです。ルーフトップバーもこじんまりしていますが、生演奏もやっていて雰囲気良かったです。

L'HÔTEL du LAC is absolutely beautiful - would give 100 stars if I could. The artwork and decor inside the hotel are stunning. The hotel is in a great location inside the Old Quarter which has plenty to do. We stayed in the Sunset Terrace Suite which was beautiful beyond words. Communication from staff was great even before we arrived and they were very helpful organising our trip to Hạ Long Bay, as well as airport pick up and drop off. Breakfast was great as were the cocktails in the sky bar which had amazing views of the city. Special shout outs to Lilly who made us feel very welcome, but especially Chloe whose knowledge and passion for Vietnamese culture left a lasting impression on us - we will remember her for a very long time. All staff had immaculate attention to detail and we felt very cared for during our stay. Would highly recommend and we can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel du Lac in Hanoi and would happily give it 5/5 across the board. The hotel is in a great part of town—easy to explore, lively, and well located for food, cafes, and walking around. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. We also used the spa services and were really impressed—the treatments were excellent and the value was fantastic compared to what you’d pay elsewhere. Clean, comfortable, great service, and a relaxing place to come back to after busy days in Hanoi. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Old & outdated inside the room even the outside doesn’t look too bad. The images they posted on the media are not accurate. The real property is way smaller. The neighborhood always so busy, very hard to have taxi stops to pic you up.

Great choice for staying in the Old Quarter. Lovely hotel, super attentive staff, well appointed rooms, like the little balconies over the street and, despite being in the middle of the Old Quarter, it wasn't noisy. Nice breakfast and even room service if you like, also they kept our luggage when we left Hanoi and returned a few days later.

We loved our stay here. Very walkable and convenient location. Great rooftop bar and breakfast which is included. Most of all the staff were amazing! Very helpful and went out of their way to provide the best experience. We left to the airport at 11 pm after checking out in the morning, and they kindly offered us a shower and chance to freshen up after a long day of sightseeing. Highly recommend this hotel!

Nice property, great location. Great breakfast and staff. Day staff very friend and helpful. Hotel needs to add staff later in the evening, only one person working to check in multiple groups arriving late at night forcing people to sit and wait to get into their rooms.

Our stay at this hotel has been amazing. The staff could not do enough for us, special mention goes to Lily and Chloe. Liky welcomed us and booked us in, Chloe assusted us with our up coming Lan ha bay tour and the our transfer to our next hotel. I cannot say enough about this hotel.

The staff was genuinely nice and professional. Everyone had a welcoming smile and I really enjoyed interacting with them. The location of the hotel is great for walking around, shopping, and visiting some historical and cultural sites of Ha Noi.

Very clean hotel, beautiful design and artwork, the service is beyond amazing and all the staff are so thoughtful! I've stayed at a lot of high end hotels (like recently the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills) and the staff at L'hotel du Lac provide a far greater service! They remember your name and any detail you've told them, open the doors when you approach the entrance at any time if the day, remembered when our departure date is and where we were traveling to next and offered to set up and tours or rides, when we missed breakfast (that's included in our stay) when we slept in, they offered to send up tea, fruits and breads to ensure we've eaten breakfast, and they even provided a really nice departing gift! And the breakfast was astounding!! We got the Vietnamese traditional breakfast items like pho, fried sticky rice and traditional coffees and they were better than most of the popular restaurants we've tried around Ha Noi! I booked this hotel as a last minute hotel change since I wanted to be in the Old Quarter and couldn't be happier with the choice, it's perfectly located, walking distance to the main attractions like train street, the lake, popular shopping streets, the cathedral, and popular restaurants. If I visit Hanoi in the future, I will be coming right back to this hotel.

I've traveled overseas quite a bit, and Hotel du Lac is the absolute best experience I've had. Hotel arranged transport to/from airport. Upon arrival, staff met us on the busy street to help us out of car and take luggage inside. Sit down check-in with hot tea, map, and explanations of hotel amenities and area restaurants and points of interests. After helping us to the rooms with luggage, we were ready to go with the information they already gave us! EVERY time we passed through the hotel, hotel staff greeted us by name and gave us information when applicable, such as ride information to HaLong Bay. This team was absolutely perfect and made the holiday so much more enjoyable. EACH and every one of them. The rooms were good, clean and everything we needed, plus fresh bananas, water, coffee, and tea. We also ate at the hotel one night, and the food was superb....a little more expensive as expected, but worth it for a no-hassle meal. The morning included breakfast was a beautiful buffet, and they also offered to cook western breakfast if wanted. But again, the staff at this location provided the most personal stay ever....words really cannot express our gratitude. Thank you team....you are all so special and will be remembered. Next time in Hanoi, there will be no question on where we'll stay. Praying that this beautiful city retains its culture so we can continue exploring more. We had an excellent stay at L’HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi! The staff is what really makes this place special. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, they gave great recommendations for nearby sites in the Old Quarter, arranged our transfer, and helped to safely navigate our baggage through the hectic stream of motorbikes. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever had in a hotel, it was tough to get out of bed in the morning - but well worth it considering the delicious breakfast buffet. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re a first time or returning visitor to Hanoi!

My family and I booked two rooms for 5 days and chose it for the great location. The staff went above and beyond during our stay- starting from a late flight check in, to ensuring our rooms were right next to each other, booking amazing day trips to Ninh Binh & Halong Bay, to booking a shuttle to the airport and ensuring we had coffee for our departure. We were already blown away at how attentive the staff was but after our departure to our next city it was the cherry on top. My mother forgot an item in her room. We contacted the Hotel and not only were they able to find the item in a few hours, but they also shipped it to our next hotel! My mother was elated and we are so thankful for the patience and kindness that the staff has for each guest.

I comfortable, affordable, central, and fantastic option for your Hanoi trip. The staff were very friendly and receptive to our needs. The rooftop bar offers great views of the nearby areas. Close enough to plenty of dining and lounging options, making it the perfect home base for the Old Quarter area. Breakfast was more than adequate.

The hotel is located on few block blocks away from Lake, means easy to access middle of Hanoi and not too noisy specially in weekends. Sky bar at roof level have great view and drink, service. Also have super market to buy small staffs to drink and eat. Hanoi church is only 5min away from hotel, means lot of things to do around hotel. Of cause staffs are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back when we visit Hanoi again.

L Hotel du Lac is an excellent hotel so close to everything. The lake is a two minute walk, shopping and dining are right outside the front door as it is located right in the heart of old town. The staff were outstanding, willing to accommodate our every request and very kind.

What a wonderful hotel. I wish I could give the staff here 10 stars. Everyone was so considerate and helpful most spoke English very well and were quick to offer assistance and suggestions. The rooms are on the small side but quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of Vietnamese and western choices. The location is perfect only 2 blocks from the lake with easy access to shopping of all levels. Wonderful stay

The interiors of this property make it stand out they are beautiful and unique. The hotel has a good breakfast and is very central so was able to walk around and see sights easily. The staff were very accommodating and helped me book a transfer the next day.

We were happy with the beds and quietness of the hotel at night. We had two rooms in the back of the hotel, very quiet at night despite traffic. The breakfast was incredible. I do suggest getting only one Vietnamese coffee, it was strong, and two made us vibrate. lol, great experience!
We were happy with the beds and quietness of the hotel at night. We had two rooms in the back of the hotel, very quiet at night despite traffic. The breakfast was incredible. I do suggest getting only one Vietnamese coffee, it was strong, and two made us vibrate. lol, great experience!

Great hotel. Recently refurbished, dark elegant and fancy colors. It is a narrow building and yet the rooms were relatively spacious. Comfy beds and nice service, they offered some fruits BUT the water was not free. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Gave us recommendations for a great restaurant and arranged for transport to and from airport. Breakfast is so-so. Overall very good four stars hotel.

Great small hotel in the center of Hanoi. Easy to walk many places and also to get out of Hanoi from there. Comfortable, except from the pillows. Nice rooftop bar.

Overall a wonderful stay at this hotel. The junior suite is on the small side by American standards, but well appointed, and the staff work hard to please the clientele. The rooftop bar is wonderful as this is the tallest building in the neighborhood, and you can enjoy truly excellent food from the lower level restaurant while taking in the view. There is construction in neighboring buildings beyond the control of the hotel so there is some noise during the day, although it didn’t bother us.

Great little hotel! Although the pics make the room look much larger, it was a fine size for me. Bed was very comfortable. Pretty hotel lobby. The breakfast was good with a nice selection at the buffet and they will make eggs, omelettes, pancakes, etc… at your request. Very nice sky bar with tasty appetizers and drinks. Staff was warm and welcoming. Minor gripe was the toilet didn’t work well from the start and although they “fixed” it, it never did flush right. Also, the shower leaked out into the bathroom floor a lot. The floor mat was always soaked after a shower. Great water pressure though!

This is a wonderful property and the staff are so e of the best I have experienced. I was dealing with a bad cold during my stay, and they checked on me and assisted with medication. The property is great.
