This hotel has obviously recently been updated. It appears to adhere to regulations such as fire doors have been installed. There is a sitting room, a bar, as well as the dining room/breakfast room. Our bedroom was clean and spacious and had a lovely shower in the ensuite. Breakfast included cereal, yogurt, fruit, fruit juice. Full English was available and any combination thereof. The hotel also offered smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Overall I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. I would definitely recommend the Orrell Park Hotel.

We had a great stay here. Nice size carpark at the rear of the property. Hotel is located on a residential street and seems a safe area. Orrell Park train station is a 10 min walk away offering easy access to the city. The room was a good double, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Only one bedside cabinet, so maybe add one to the left of the bedside ?? Bathroom was spotless, good size and nice powerful and hot shower. We had a lovely breakfast the following morning (was included in the price). Table service after helping ourselves to cereals, yoghurt, etc. Unlimited hot drinks and toast, all brought to the table. Very pleased all round and would have no hesitation booking again.

Fantastic hotel. Room/bathroom perfectly clean as were the communal areas. Free onsite parking. Staff were really friendly. Breakfast included in the price was really lovely - cereals, fruit, yoghurt, fruit juices, tea/coffee plus a cooked breakfast. The nearest train station was just a 10 minute walk down the road which was perfect for the short journey into Liverpool. Would highly recommend this hotel - a really great find.

I arrived stressed after a difficult journey and found it an excellent antidote. I had a friendly welcome, a comfortable almost homely room and as it was Monday night and their hotel wasn't serving, they let me order takeaway and eat it in the restaurant to save me venturing out again. Good breakfast too, again with friendly staff.

Great little hotel, friendly staff. I didn't try the free breakfast as I dont eat that in the morning but from other people the food looked good. Nice comfy bed, couldn't really ask for much more for the price. Oh and free parking included which is always a bonus.

Nice small hotel with excellent and friendly service. Good position and base for visit with car park facility. The room was basic and very comfortable. We would stay here again and recommend it as it was easy to find.

Food was very nice.staff friendly. I didn't like taking suitcase up the stairs. Room was comfortable. On road parking or a small space behind property but pathway was uneven and it made it awkward getting luggage from car to front door.

A lovely little break away to tour the local area. The hotel was ideal and the owner/staff were lovely. The bedroom was nicely decorated, with ample towels and plenty of hanging/drawer space to unpack your case. The only negative would be that there were no bedside tables to put a glass of water on overnight, but the dressing table stool served the same purpose. Breakfast was lovely and fresh, although the tomatoes could have been hotter. The bar was well stocked and the lounge very comfortable for a night in if you don't want to wander far. Would definitely stay again

The room was really spacious , clean . Bath room was also big and clean . Shower didn’t have enough pressure. The mattresses were not comfortable probably due to the spring mechanism or age . Additional oil heater was provided. Car parking was available at the rear of the property. As it was situated next to the road we could hear every noise from car and pedestrians

Stayed only for a night so can only comment on the room, It was a bit tired needed a bit of repair and a fresh coat of paint. Went for a shower and all I got was freezing cold or boiling hot so had a wash in the sink. Had a good nights sleep mind you I was tired from a 41/2 hr drive, 20 minute walk to the racecourse, 7hrs at the races and 20 minute walk back so I think sleeping on a bed of nails might of felt comfortable.

Well kept property. Breakfast was great which was included in the price. Only issue was that as our room was on the top floor, hot water pressure in the tap was low and even cut off at times.

The beds were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with a choice of cereal and cooked breakfast, yogurts, fruit, orange and apple juice. Two small towels and one hand towel for a two night stay for two adults. One small shower gel/shanpoo and hand soap for two nights for two adults. One small bottle of water although we had booked a twin room for two. No iron available No fan available No toilet brush The toilet cistern ran water constantly throughout the night causing interrupted sleep. Window and mirror had smear stains all over from a wet cloth The bathroom was spotlessly clean

I used this for a work trip ( site is in Knowsley) good location for site etc but the following issues 1)) heating left on all night room Very hot and can’t turn it off. 2)poor water pressure for a shower. 3)not great facilities to work the room but other areas are free should you wish to use them. 4) Full english is ok in the morning. 5)Lots of parking plus close to the major motorways. Overall a good budget business hotel.

The area felt unsafe. The room was freezing. The heating was not on. The hot water existed for 5 minutes. Ridiculous breakfast times and check out times. However, the english breakfast was quite reasonable - even if in my humble opinion, an english breakfast comes with TWO eggs.

We had a wonderful stay at Orrell Park! We arrived late and were met courteously. The room was large, clean and comfortable. It also might have been the best shower in all of Europe! Breakfast was lovely the next morning. I wish our stay could have been longer! Highly recommend!

We stayed as a family of four. The double bed was very low, materess too small for the frame and not big enougb for teo adults. Skirting boards and walls dirty, shower trickled and had no hot water. Best thing was the breakfast! Hot anderved quickly and girls serving were polite

Spacious room and comfortable bed. Good breakfast and range of options. Quiet location with amenities and train station less than 10 minutes walk with a 15 minute journey to central Liverpool with frequent trains. Would stay here again.

Room 5 featured a very soft mattress that didn’t meet hotel quality standards, along with a low bed. The curtains allowed a lot of light to enter and could benefit from better lining. Additionally, this room is located at the front, facing the main road traffic, alot of traffic noise . Cooked English breakfast was excellent, cooked to order .

Fount the bathroom sink was too small which made it difficult to wash our face and brush our teeth. I feel that the beds need to be updated and higher. Due to this I hit my foot on the corner of the bed numerous times on each visit. The bedside draw did not stay closed and kept opening. Although I really like this property I feel that it requires general updating. The service I cannot fault at all. Would have liked a fridge in our room so we could put our drinks etc in.

Fantastic stay, exceeded my expectations. The decor was lovely, very clean and modern. Our room executive double was very spacious, huge bed and bathroom. Would stay here again with no hesitation. Breakfast was delicious.
Fantastic stay, exceeded my expectations. The decor was lovely, very clean and modern. Our room executive double was very spacious, huge bed and bathroom. Would stay here again with no hesitation. Breakfast was delicious.

We were very impressed with this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Due to my husband's issue with stairs we were given a room on the first floor. We were able to order food from the restaurant in the hotel and have it delivered to our room. The food was very tasty and they were able to work around food allergy. The room was very comfortable, clean, and the shower was wonderful. Little conviences tell you that someone is thinking of comforts of home. I wish we could have stayed an extra night at this hotel, as as soon as I walked into the room both my husband & mine stress level decreased significantly and we felt so relaxed and wished we had more time to enjoy the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay. Well decorated small hotel with the loveliest owner. Very comfortable, good breakfast and close enough to Aintree where we were attending an event. In the evening we chatted to the owner and a friend of his, they were the nicest people, very entertaining! We will certainly return if we are in Liverpool again

Owner & staff, location, & full English breakfast biggest assets of this small hotel. Nicely renovated, trendy comfortable friendly dining room, bar and lounge. Easy walk to train station to take trips into Liverpool City, or transfer to trains to explore London, Chester; Manchester, Southport etc. lots of buses to reach famous footy grounds & Aintree Racecourse. Short walk to local shops, small bars/eateries. I highly recommend.

We had a great stay here. Nice size carpark at the rear of the property. Hotel is located on a residential street and seems a safe area. Orrell Park train station is a 10 min walk away offering easy access to the city. The room was a good double, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Only one bedside cabinet, so maybe add one to the left of the bedside ?? Bathroom was spotless, good size and nice powerful and hot shower. We had a lovely breakfast the following morning (was included in the price). Table service after helping ourselves to cereals, yoghurt, etc. Unlimited hot drinks and toast, all brought to the table. Very pleased all round and would have no hesitation booking again.

My two sons stayed here for a match at Anfield and said they were impressed with their stay. Beds comfy, friendly staff however the breakfast finishes way too early and they missed out. I think they said it was finished by 08.45.

The owner was friendly and helpful. The room central heating was'nt on so the room was heated by a fan heater which was ok as it was September. The Sink in the bathroom was blocked and you only got 1 very small bottle of Shampoo for two people. The restaurant food was nice but is not prepared on site it was delivered by Deliveroo. The breakfast was Good.

Breakfast included in the price was really lovely - cereals, fruit, yoghurt, fruit juices, tea/coffee plus a cooked breakfast. The nearest train station was just a 10 minute walk down the road which was perfect for the short journey into Liverpool. Would highly recommend this hotel - a really great find.

A lovely little break away to tour the local area. The hotel was ideal and the owner/staff were lovely. The bedroom was nicely decorated, with ample towels and plenty of hanging/drawer space to unpack your case. The only negative would be that there were no bedside tables to put a glass of water on overnight, but the dressing table stool served the same purpose. Breakfast was lovely and fresh, although the tomatoes could have been hotter. The bar was well stocked and the lounge very comfortable for a night in if you don't want to wander far. Would definitely stay again

The hotel could do with some refurbishment. In bedroom cracks in ceiling, big gaps between skirting boards and walls, partly repaired scuff marks on the walls and very worn carpet. Worn carpet and old paintwork was also the case on the stairs and reception area. Was very hot and fan was quite weak. A small fridge would have been great. Bathroom was very good condition. No issues there. There were no ground floor rooms which I was not aware of. I probably should have checked. So I had to go up a flight of stairs and as I have mobility issues this was difficult. Breakfast was very good and staff very helpful and friendly. Overall it was OK but could be good with some refurbishment.
