Beautiful, quiet setting with a ton of history. The owners are very engaging and accommodating. The fire pit, with a drink from the VERY well stocked bar was an added bonus at the end of the day! Only wish we had more time at this wonderful property.

If you like old properties with creaking floors, very slow running water, so a good shower is out of the question, and not able to walk into the spa and book a massage, then this property is for you. It took 3 days for them to call me back to confirm our stay, I would not recommend it.

I loved the ladies who worked there. The breakfast was perfect…especially Sonia’s smoothies. The bed was comfortable. The tub was clean and inviting. The spa did a great job on my pedi. It was close to quaint towns to visit.

Maison ancestrale magnifique avec un jardin agréable où flâner. Le personnel est accueillant et gentil. Midweek romantic getaway at the Stevenson had a lot of great things going for it. The property is beautiful as is the bucolic setting but Allison is not far if you need anything. A few downsides : 1) our room, the Elspeth en-suite was great but wallpaper was pealing and the room could do with a refresh. And daily mais service would have been a nice touch. However loved the tub and old furniture. 2) breakfast. The continental is underwhelming. Toast, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee/tea. Bare minimum. No cheese, cold cuts, homemade items. You could pay $25 for a hot breakfast supplement but that seemed steep. It wouldn’t have taken much effort to have a far better breakfast. We would definitely stay again because the old house is simply beautiful and filled with old furniture and accessories. It’s just the basic hotel stuff that could be better.

Our stay was short but spectacular! Such a warm welcome and amazing hospitality. The room was super clean and so cozy. The inn is breathtaking. We didn't have the time this visit to enjoy the spa... Looking forward to a second stay :)

We were in town for a hockey tournament and were looking for a place to relax rather than the big hotels with lots of teams. We had the most amazing time at the inn, quiet, peaceful and it turned our busy weekend into a relaxing holiday. The room was great; cozy and we all slept great. It felt like we had our own private home from home. Breakfast was perfect to pick up and go when we had to be out early and the staff were warm and friendly, taking care of us so well. We'll be staying again, hockey or not!

Second time staying here while visiting friends. The staff is unbelievable, and very accommodating for dietary restrictions. It's a very quaint, vintage spot and is very stylish. Will always chose this spot when I'm in the area.

Stevenson, the owner was really unique & his hospitality was par excellence. I stayed here for 2 nights & experience was memorable. Although we had taken the small rooms but we were provided anything we asked for. The service was amazing. It’s an old building but one can feel the ancient atmosphere. I will highly recommend the property for at least one time experience.
