We arrived at short notice - same day booking - to stay and we were given a lovely chalet for 2 overlooking the lake. It was a beautiful sunny fall day so we spent quite a bit of time on the dock admiring the view and throwing a ball for our dog into the water. The bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped and stay was delightful.

It’s a true cottage, bring bedding, soap(s), wine glasses etc. It has no ac so it was very hot. The location is amazing, but small things would increase the experience. It was great to see kids fishing off the dock and you can rent canoes and kayaks. And it’s dog friendly.

Stayed one night arrived at dark left at 7am. Nice spot having a drink on the deck listening to the loons was nice! Would go again. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Mixed bag of a stay Pros: beautiful landscape, really nice lake with a dock for swimming, free lifejackets for the kids, nice firepits and BBQs at each cabin, good communication from front desk lady Cons: no air conditioning, so it was extremely hot in the cabin even with windows open and fans on. Cabin was quite rustic and rundown -- cracked windows, front door doesn't close properly, parts of the floor collapsing. The pullout couch frame was broken so we had to put the mattress on the floor. Beds were not comfortable at all. Was told there was a fully stocked kitchen but there was the bare minimum imo (no salt or pepper, no mixing bowls, not enough cookware, etc). Worst part was they charged us for every little thing (wood, towels, even bedsheets!!! Shouldn't bedsheets be included?!) and it felt like we were being nickle and dimed -- just include it in a higher overall price.

Excellent location, on the lake. Friendly staff and fishermen around. Family swam and enjoyed that. The "cottage" we stayed in was more like a cabin than a cottage. It was very rustic. Dishes were older and not enough cutlery for all of us. Kitchen table and chairs were wobbly and breaking. It did the job for 1 night, but there was a smell coming from the sink/behind stove that wasnt pleasant. I reported to staff, and they said they would look into it. We spent 3 days and 2 nights. Management was very inviting and responsive to our needs. The cabin was immaculate and had all the things we required for our stay! It was a ten minute drive to town for groceries or other needs. The only concern we’d have is that not all patio chairs were in the best of shape, so not all of us necessarily had something to sit on while out on the deck.

The bathroom had a dirty towel on the back door. The floor trim had black mold by the sink. The floor needed to be swept and washed down as well. The cabin could have used a good cleaning. But the views were amazing. We had a good stay but cleanliness was lacking.

Use less detergent when washing towels and sheets. The smell is unbearable. You can see that a lot of it has been renovated and is very new. The surroundings are very nice, but the facilities are old and a bit dirty.

We did not know we needed to bring our own towels and sheets. I did not see that mentioned. The cabin needed a really good cleaning. The bathroom was dirty. The floor had debris on it. The floor board by the sink had black mildew growing on it. For the price of the cabin it should have been clean. A dirty hand towel left on the back of the bathroom door and a men's pair of boxer shorts left under the bed. Not a good thing for a group of women to experience. The views were fantastic of the lake.

We had the perfect room with a deck right off our room overlooking Lange Lake. It was a stunning view and location for sure. Our room had a sauna, and we had a hot tub on our deck at our disposal. We also had a barbecue grill which we were able to use to grill in the evening and a lit little stove and kitchenette for cooking breakfast as well. Jenn, the property manager, was extremely friendly and helpful to any of our needs. It should be mentioned that the units do not have air conditioning, thankfully the breeze off the lake helped keep the rooms cool at night for sleeping. Thank you, Lang Lake resort for a wonderful night stay!

Communication, the web site describes a restaurant on site, it doesn’t exist. No one was available to greet us and to tell us how to get to our cabin. On the morning of our expected arrival I received a text saying there was trouble with my payment. ( I had believed that I had paid for the stay at the time of the booking ) at that time he also sent me a pre arrival form, it asked about wether linens and towels were needed and how much (?) The cabin itself was cute A frame with beds available on the 2nd floor up a very steep stair located perilously close to the wall. There were soft spots on the floor covered by relatively new laminate. It was clean. Coffee maker, kettle, microwave, stove fridge were clean and available to use ( no coffee). Having never been to this resort before or having had rented a cabin before it really would have been nice to have it communicated. It was expensive for what was provided.

This is a drop dead beautiful location at the end of a wilderness lake. We had a renovated cabin but the beds were beyond belief bad and staffing minimal to none.

Cottage was lakefront, view was great. Washroom a little tight. Had rain all night when we stayed and lots of killer mosquitoes next day. Still reeling from mosquito bites lol. Pack good amount of repellents if planning to stay. Very serene and quiet for relaxation. Only twelve minutes drive from town of Espanola. Mark and his dad were were very accommodating and communicative. Overall, it was great.

We had the perfect room with a deck right off our room overlooking Lange Lake. It was a stunning view and location for sure. Our room had a sauna, and we had a hot tub on our deck at our disposal. We also had a barbecue grill which we were able to use to grill in the evening and a lit little stove and kitchenette for cooking breakfast as well. Jenn, the property manager, was extremely friendly and helpful to any of our needs. Mixed bag of a stay Pros: beautiful landscape, really nice lake with a dock for swimming, free lifejackets for the kids, nice firepits and BBQs at each cabin, good communication from front desk lady Cons: no air conditioning, so it was extremely hot in the cabin even with windows open and fans on. Cabin was quite rustic and rundown -- cracked windows, front door doesn't close properly, parts of the floor collapsing. The pullout couch frame was broken so we had to put the mattress on the floor. Beds were not comfortable at all. Was told there was a fully stocked kitchen but there was the bare minimum imo (no salt or pepper, no mixing bowls, not enough cookware, etc). Worst part was they charged us for every little thing (wood, towels, even bedsheets!!! Shouldn't bedsheets be included?!) and it felt like we were being nickle and dimed -- just include it in a higher overall price.

Communication, the web site describes a restaurant on site, it doesn’t exist. No one was available to greet us and to tell us how to get to our cabin. On the morning of our expected arrival I received a text saying there was trouble with my payment. ( I had believed that I had paid for the stay at the time of the booking ) at that time he also sent me a pre arrival form, it asked about wether linens and towels were needed and how much (?) The cabin itself was cute A frame with beds available on the 2nd floor up a very steep stair located perilously close to the wall. There were soft spots on the floor covered by relatively new laminate. It was clean. Coffee maker, kettle, microwave, stove fridge were clean and available to use ( no coffee). Having never been to this resort before or having had rented a cabin before it really would have been nice to have it communicated. It was expensive for what was provided.

Lovely location and accommodation with a real cottage feel. The place was warm and cozy when we arrived and views over lang lake in autumn were beautiful. The lake was at our doorstep and we brought our own bedding, but they will provide if needed. They are very accommodating Hosts.

We arrived at short notice - same day booking - to stay and we were given a lovely chalet for 2 overlooking the lake. It was a beautiful sunny fall day so we spent quite a bit of time on the dock admiring the view and throwing a ball for our dog into the water. The bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped and stay was delightful.

Cottage was lakefront, view was great. Washroom a little tight. Had rain all night when we stayed and lots of killer mosquitoes next day. Still reeling from mosquito bites lol. Pack good amount of repellents if planning to stay. Very serene and quiet for relaxation. Only twelve minutes drive from town of Espanola. Mark and his dad were were very accommodating and communicative. Overall, it was great.

The area is beautiful and views from the room were great. The description claims there is Wifi which we did not get, and a restaurant/room service which is not true. Cabin 4 does not reflect well on this property. It sits behind a parking lot, tucked into the woods. It is old, run down and quite frankly, smells musty, mouldy and of septic backup in the bathroom. The stairs to the loft are treacherous to the degree that we did not use the loft beds. These stairs also block access into the bathroom. There was exposed wiring and the smoke detector was not installed or functional. Nothing seemed to work properly and we stopped asking for things that were missing. All of the contents seemed like leftovers from other cottages. Mismatched silverware, chipped dishes and a confusing stove. This cabin is grossly overpriced. The staff tried hard to please us and the property location is beautiful. We switched to a different cabin for 2 nights (for extra $). It was nearly perfect.

This was a disaster. We had booked for two nights. The “cabin” we were assigned appeared to have been a previously abandoned cabin in the woods. The beds were in a loft that had a rickety ladder for access. My wife and I are in our seventies and I could not imagine climbing up and down that ladder 3-4 times a night. When we complained we were told we could use the fold out bed. We told them we were not interested in a fold out bed in a run down dirty old cabin. We told them we were leaving as we did not feel safe and requested a refund which was denied. Be very careful renting here and shame on Hotels. com for promoting this facility.
