Excellent place to staybwith family. Near by nice beaches and great lake huron. Great hotel supper clean with nice pool and sauna. Firepots and nice trail for a walk. Has kids playground. Owner realy making this place be a great place to stay.

Outside a small country town (definitely need a car), so you can't walk to it, but there's an amusing trail on the property. They have a good charger for electric cars.

Great location 5min drive to beach. My family really enjoyed the large landscape of nature at The Ashwood. We brought food in coolers and used the complimentary bbq. Large tables to sit family to eat outside. The fridge in the room was spacious and cold. The pool is ideal for winter but the sauna is great! The fire is nice you can purchase bag of wood for $10. We brought s’mores. Bring bug spray to more enjoy at night. The nature trail was lovely. We enjoyed the text msg communications. Would stay again for sure. Bring all your summer supplies and would recommend 2day stay or more to enjoy the weather in summer.

Very clean everywhere. The room was spotless. The owners were very helpful and nice people. Couldn't do enough for us. If we called for something, they were right there! We couldn't get over the size of the property. Many things for kids to do over a few days. Best to go for a couple nights on the weekend with kids because otherwise the slow days during the first of the week, not everything is open. We will stay again.

The room was a perfect size for us,clean and 2 small bottles of water left for the Nespresso machine.Contactless checkin via text, very smooth.Nice grounds with a trail,playground volleyball net. I would stay here again

The room itself was fairly clean, but it had a strong mildew/mold smell, so we had to sleep with the window open. The property feels very dated for the price, and our main concern was the possible presence of mold. That said, it served its purpose for a one-night stay while attending a wedding, and the staff was very pleasant.

Room not very clean. No real soap or shampoo conditioner. Over all location was very good, atmosphere outside very nice. I feel over priced for what we revieved. Thank you

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt gar nicht. Zimmer alt und nicht sauber. Besonders das Bad und verstopfte Abflüsse sind ein NO GO. Es befindet sich zwar daneben ein Indisches Restaurant, dessen Essen aber auch zu wünschen übrig lässt und man wird um punkt 21 Uhr gebeten zu zahlen und herauskomplimentiert. Absolut keine gute Erfahrung.

It was off the highway , easy access quiet, the rooms were big spacious , clean , the bed was so so .. the price was alittle high for the room needs alittle upgrade…the don’t,s breakfast could be offer or consider down the road …

We enjoyed our stay, room had everything we needed, was nicely decorated and clean, had a bar fridge and microwave which you dont see too often in hotel rooms. We also were able to watch Netflix free of charge on the tv. The saltwater pool was a nice amenity, we enjoyed an evening swim and the water temp was cool but nice. The hotel was quiet, we didnt run into any other guests or staff due to the contactless check in and out by text message which was a new thing to me, but worked ok. They have a playground onsite and a little trail. Im sure it is a nice setting in warmer weather Overall would recommened and would stay again Is only 2 mins from main st bayfield.

We liked that we could park right outside our room and the location was quiet and easy to get to. The room was clean . Our bed and mattress were old and seemed small in size. It was extremely noisy and creaky. So we didn’t sleep very well. The tv was terrible could only get one station and the rest was pay for view. No written directions for tv use. Cable with a guide would have been better. The bath tub and shower were old and small.

The room was lovely, large and beautifully decorated. There is a badminton net, hammock and woodland path behind. It was confusing at first, as the restaurant beside it has a sign Permanently Closed and we couldn’t find the office to check in. The person cleaning the rooms also did check in and I’m not sure he understood me. We couldn’t find him to check out. The TV was so high tech we couldn’t figure it out. It would be good if someone had shown us.

The unit was very clean, but smelled of cleaning chemicals and it was hard to air it out. Quite comfortable but the room could have done with a table and chairs to eat at or play cards. A large empty space in the room. Also some rugs would have been nice. Some pictures of units showed that. While the unit was fine, it was a quite underwhelming property and there was no one at reception or to talk to.
