We absolutely loved our stay at Stables - we wish we'd booked for longer! Check-in was really simple (once we'd figured out to head into the pub next door) and the room was spotless and felt luxurious. It had lots of great features, like the coffee machine, underfloor heating in the bathroom, luxury bath products and complimentary drinks in the fridge - but the show stopper was the hottub! It stays at one temperature for the duration of your stay, so it's really simple to use. Would highly recommend a stay at Stables!

Overall a fantastic stay. However as we are in our sixties and my husband is 6”5’ the hot tub was on the small side! The staff and food were incredible . Thankyou .

Great little hotel. Clean and beautifully furnished room with small balcony and intimate 2-person hot tub. En suite was very nice and the whole suite gave a luxury feel. Room service was very quick. Adjoining pub's food was excellent both for dinner and breakfast.

We had a fantastic anniversary stay at the Stables. The room and bed was very comfortable and the highlight was the Japanese hot tub in the balcony! It was just perfect! We also enjoyed having dinner at the Bowling Green steakhouse and had breakfast brought to our room by room service. We look forward to staying again.

A late Valentines night away. We stayed in the superior room which had everything you could ask for. The Bath tub is a must and the spa facilities were perfect to unwind after a freezing cold day! We dinned in the Bowling Green for tea and breakfast. Location is ideal right next door The steaks were lush, and the potato hash for breakfast you need to try! Staff and service was amazing. Will definitely come back again.

The Stables is a wonderful place to stay, particularly for access to Alton Towers. The private Japanese hot tub is a brilliant addition to the room, which was bath temperature and ready for use on arrival. The rooms are well furnished and clean. Complimentary soft drinks and fresh milk are a lovely touch thst add to the experience. The adjacent pub the Bowling Green was excellent for dinner, but be mindful it doesn’t open until 9am if you want to have breakfast here. If I am ever back in the area, I will be sure to stay at the Stables again.

We had a lovely stay at the stables. The room was clean with lovely decor and everything we needed was available and more! The hot tub was lovely and the robes and slippers were a nice touch. We got room service and had breakfast the following morning and the food was delicious. We would absolutely recommend!

The stay was amazing, the quality of the room the comfort of the bed, the cleanliness of the whole place was amazing. The food in the pub its connected to was also outstanding as was breakfast. The staff really helpful and friendly and I cant fault it. we booked for easy access to Alton Towers and would defintely both return again and recommend to others. A great find, maybe next time book the top grade rooms so i can use the spa though I didnt look into that properly but that was my failing.

WOW! We had one night in the junior suite. I booked this with my Tesco Club card vouchers. The first time I’ve used them for a hotel stay & what a place to stay for our first time!!! It was the perfect half way stop home after a busy long Halloween day in Alton Towers. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after hours of walking and waiting for rides. I cannot rate this place high enough. Everything from the decor to the room service, it is all so well thought & of high standard. Immaculate in cleanliness. The meal from the pub delivered to your door was the icing on the cake for us as we were far too exhausted to start getting ready to go out again. The quality of food was utterly beautiful & the steak was to a standard I’ve not had in some 5* restaurants. Credit to the chef it was exceptional!! Staff were so friendly & welcoming. The outside area around the hot tub was very private & beautiful. The bed was soooooo comfortable! My husband is 6ft 4inch we often find staying away we rarely find a bed that’s both comfortable & big enough…this was both! Such a wonderful stay, already recommended to family & friends. We will certainly be back! Thank you again

Great place to stay, modern room and great food at the pub next door. Staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. Great walks only a few minutes away. Road A515 in and out of Ashbourne was noisy with hgv’s. Definitely stay again and highly recommend. B

Amazing! We came to relax and did exactly that. The room was beautiful, then there’s the extra details such as the nespresso machine, bottled water in the fridge, luxury toiletries, super comfy bed with a pop up tv. The deck was private with a freshly filled Japanese hot tub. The pub next door offers room service which we took advantage of for our evening meal and also for breakfast, the food was delicious and the staff were lovely. We'll definitely be back.

A beautiful property with excellent amenities. The food was equally excellent, and the service was personable and professional. The accommodation had everything you would require and the location was within walking distance of the town. Would highly recommend a visit, as there’s many local sites to visit.

Great place to stay, modern room and great food at the pub next door. Staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. Great walks only a few minutes away. Road A515 in and out of Ashbourne was noisy with hgv’s. Definitely stay again and highly recommend. B

Can’t fault the rooms, they were very clean and spacious.. the only downside was breakfast the following morning, we sat for 40 mins before getting are drinks, as they had forgotten about us, then another 20 mins for our breakfast! The toast was very hard.

What a fantastic find! Excellent rooms which have been finished to a very high spec with fantastic fixtures and fittings. Staff were very welcoming and made our stay superb. We hadn’t booked breakfast, but the lovely girl on reception arranged room service of a delicious breakfast of our choice. Cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be coming back!

Great little hotel. Clean and beautifully furnished room with small balcony and intimate 2-person hot tub. En suite was very nice and the whole suite gave a luxury feel. Room service was very quick. Adjoining pub's food was excellent both for dinner and breakfast.

The stay was amazing, the quality of the room the comfort of the bed, the cleanliness of the whole place was amazing. The food in the pub its connected to was also outstanding as was breakfast. The staff really helpful and friendly and I cant fault it. we booked for easy access to Alton Towers and would defintely both return again and recommend to others. A great find, maybe next time book the top grade rooms so i can use the spa though I didnt look into that properly but that was my failing.

A beautiful property with excellent amenities. The food was equally excellent, and the service was personable and professional. The accommodation had everything you would require and the location was within walking distance of the town. Would highly recommend a visit, as there’s many local sites to visit.

WOW! We had one night in the junior suite. I booked this with my Tesco Club card vouchers. The first time I’ve used them for a hotel stay & what a place to stay for our first time!!! It was the perfect half way stop home after a busy long Halloween day in Alton Towers. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after hours of walking and waiting for rides. I cannot rate this place high enough. Everything from the decor to the room service, it is all so well thought & of high standard. Immaculate in cleanliness. The meal from the pub delivered to your door was the icing on the cake for us as we were far too exhausted to start getting ready to go out again. The quality of food was utterly beautiful & the steak was to a standard I’ve not had in some 5* restaurants. Credit to the chef it was exceptional!! Staff were so friendly & welcoming. The outside area around the hot tub was very private & beautiful. The bed was soooooo comfortable! My husband is 6ft 4inch we often find staying away we rarely find a bed that’s both comfortable & big enough…this was both! Such a wonderful stay, already recommended to family & friends. We will certainly be back! Thank you again

The Stables is a wonderful place to stay, particularly for access to Alton Towers. The private Japanese hot tub is a brilliant addition to the room, which was bath temperature and ready for use on arrival. The rooms are well furnished and clean. Complimentary soft drinks and fresh milk are a lovely touch thst add to the experience. The adjacent pub the Bowling Green was excellent for dinner, but be mindful it doesn’t open until 9am if you want to have breakfast here. If I am ever back in the area, I will be sure to stay at the Stables again.

A great location for visiting this lovely market town. Really nicely appointed and furnished room with everything we needed including the added luxury of a hot tub. We had breakfast and lunch at The Bowling Green pub attached and had one of their famed pizzas delivered to our room. Staff were really pleasant and very helpful. A fantastic stay all round.

WOW! What a brilliant little place!!! Tucked away on the edge of a pretty little market town, the facilities and attention to detail are flawless! This is the perfect place for a couples getaway! The pub next door serves good food and offers friendly service. We will certainly be making a return visit and would recommend Stables to anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway

A late Valentines night away. We stayed in the superior room which had everything you could ask for. The Bath tub is a must and the spa facilities were perfect to unwind after a freezing cold day! We dinned in the Bowling Green for tea and breakfast. Location is ideal right next door The steaks were lush, and the potato hash for breakfast you need to try! Staff and service was amazing. Will definitely come back again.

A lovely, comfortable hotel. A good location overlooking Ashbourne with plenty of parking in the pub carpark across the road. The bedroom and bathroom were warm and cosy during a very cold night. Complimentary milk, soft drinks and water in refrigerator - a wonderful touch. The breakfast in the adjoining pub was delicious. Will definitely be returning

The room was lovely and we loved the hot tub. Didn't manage to go to the Bowling Green for dinner as it was fully booked - but it looked really nice, so I'd recommend reserving a table in advance!

We had a fantastic anniversary stay at the Stables. The room and bed was very comfortable and the highlight was the Japanese hot tub in the balcony! It was just perfect! We also enjoyed having dinner at the Bowling Green steakhouse and had breakfast brought to our room by room service. We look forward to staying again.

Great hotel they really thought of everything. The hot tub on the balcony is was perfect and we were lucky to have a gorgeous pink sky in May. The pub/hotel staff were lovely. Quick little walk down the hill to the little town which has really kept up with the times but still has that old England vibe. Highly recommend

Rooms were fantastic, very comfy bed. It was a very hot day and the air-conditioning was brilliant. Staff were very polite & friendly. Breakfast was great lots of choice. Would definitely stay again

The Japanese hot tub is the main reason we stay here, as my partner loves it. The beds are huge, the food is pretty good, and it’s a nice base for a day out. Parking can be a bit awkward, and it’s quite a steep walk into town.
