Host Amanda was very accommodating. Victorian house is beautiful. Great breakfast . Rooms 1-4 are on the third floor so are only accessed by 2 flights of stairs. Many gaming amenities. Pool was closed for the season but looked like it would be great in the summer. Only stayed one night, but a pleasant stay.

Spent two nights here. Very cute and cozy B&B in the middle of Adamstown. About 15 minutes from downtown Reading. Amanda and her husband have put a lot of effort into making a comfortable and enjoyable stay in this historical home, which feels very modern. Room was spacious, had a big-screen smart TV with streaming apps, a Keurig, and very comfortable bedding. The mini-split helped to regulate the temperature well when it was freezing cold outside. Breakfast was lovely and fresh made each day with a good selection. Self check-in is a plus as is off-street parking. Fun and well-behaved dog who follows everyone around. Not too much within walking distance but there is a diner for breakfast/lunch around the corner as well as a grocery store with local delicacies. Just FYI - the rooms are on the third floor and it is a walkup without an elevator, so those with mobility issues may find it difficult to stay here. Hope to get the opportunity to stay at VAAST again!

Truly lovely B&B with all the amenities, a delicious breakfast, and warm and friendly hosts who were eager to make our stay a delightful one. Convenient off-street parking and an incredible backyard with comfortable poolside seating and lounging spots. This is a beautiful and restful setting.

Wonderful magical place . Hard working inn keeper really making it nice for the patrons . Really welcomes you into their world with all their blessings. Cannot wait to go back . Most comfy bed i have ever slept in. Pool is clean. Breakfast was made with love. All around great place .

We had a great experience during our stay at VAAST Bed & Breakfast. It's a very charming bed and breakfast, with great rooms, excellent hosts and a nice pool. Spent a weekend with family that includes a toddler and an infant. They both had an amazing time as well. Will definitely go back the next time we are in the area.

The host Amanda is warm and welcoming. Spacious rooms with cool old home accents. There is a cat and 3 dogs onsite (that do not go in your bedroom) which are all friendly and add to the ‘home away from home’ feel. Spent the day at the pool and did some light shopping. Def go to Julianna’s Italian restaurant. Massage chair, provided toiletries and all day tea/coffee and healthy granola bars are an added bonus.

I travel frequently and first time staying at a B & B. Stayed in unit 5. Really spacious but not as clean as expected. Bugs encounterd in shower stall. Water stains and holes in ceiling tiles. Hair in the freezer area in fridge.Tom was very nice and pleasant no complaints with him. Breakfast was posted as 7 to 9 walked upstairs was given an awkard look by Amanda to be advised that its not ready , left and came back and was chastised due to she burnt the bacon as if it was my fault? Even though Tom was kind enough to ask what i would like the night before? He made up for it buy bringing bacon to my room. I was advised by Amanda to text her when I wanted bacon? Just akward and odd. Steep driveway. Loud noises from screaming kids at 10:30 pm in front of unit 5 which is a gaming room with air hockey table after trying to sleep after enjoying day. Pool water looked scary was advised pool pump was broken. Will I ever stay at a B & B again? No. The Comfort Inn up the street is a little more money but guaranteed full breakfast , quiter and cleaner and no attitudes.

A beautiful home and very attentive hostess. Holiday decorations were very nice. Room was very clean. Comfortable bed and linens. Overall a perfect visit. On a sister trip to see Koziar's Christmas Village. This B&B less than 30mins from there. Definitely worth a little extra drive. Also great antique shopping all around.

Stairs to second floor room were very narrow and steep. The property was an Antique building with original 19 century stairs. Dangerous to any senior. Room was dirty. Waste basket was not emptied for a two night stay. Same with bathroom, no change of towels and no wast basket emptying for the two days. Heat was provided by a small space heater. Plugged in to a power strip along with lights. Not safe in our opinion. Would not recommend.

This was an amazing B&B experience! We would definitely stay here again. Wish we had had time to stay for the wonderful breakfast buffet that was prepared. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Loved all of the stained glass in the house. Can't wait to stay there in the summer when the pool is open.

This place is fantastic. I recently took a two-week trip through Pennsylvania and this was the best place I stayed the entire time. It put hotels to shame. The building is fantastic and the architecture is interesting. The room was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The hosts were extremely gracious and made me feel right at home. And the four-legged welcoming committee just made the stay that much more enjoyable. I wish they were closer to where I lived...I'd rent a night just for a relaxing getaway. I can't recommend this place enough.

A friend and I only stayed for one night but left wishing we could have stayed longer! The owners of this beautiful home, are friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. The house is beautiful, their pups are super friendly and the room was extremely clean. Breakfast was delicious too! We will definitely be back.

3-story older but charming house with high ceilings, so lots of steep steps to climb! Nice shower, 50Mb wifi, super large TV. Hostess Amanda was very friendly and helpful, and provided a good eggs/bacon breakfast. Lots of toys downstairs – massage chair, pool table, air hockey, misc board and electronic games. The three house dogs are friendly and very energetic! We love dogs, but for those who don't, they might be a little intimidating. Lovely pool and patio in back, though the weather was too cold and rainy when we were there to use them. Beds were average, and the mini-fridge was a little noisy, so we turned it off at night.

Amanda was friendly and personable. The home was historic with lots of wood. We enjoyed playing pool and the prepared breakfasts. They have friendly dogs at the home. We are accustomed to having our room taken care of on a multi night stay, but that did not happen here. The WiFi reception for the television was poor and buffered so often it was not worth watching. Overall a pleasant stay.

It was an adventure. We were going to a totally new place and just needed to crash for one night and we decided to try a B&B instead of the usual hotel. Getting up to the rooms is odd because you have to go up a very steep set of stairs with quote narrow runners, and then through what looks like a closet door and up another set of wooden stairs to the 3rd floor where the rooms are. This is the only drawback - don't bring suitcases you can't carry easily. Otherwise, the room was great. The shower was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. The TV options were so good it made you want to stay up late and watch all of them. The hosts are very nice and their children and dog are adorable. If we ever have to go back to Adamsville, I'm sure we'd stay there again.

a wonderful gem of a place in a small town setting. plenty of room, very helpful and gracious host, and excellent amenities and comfortable room. stayed just 1 night, but would have enjoyed more time there (next time perhaps). all modern amenities in what i would call a victorian style house. totally recommend this place to anyone staying in the area!!

My wife booked this place and we were surprised how nice it was. An older house with an interesting history, beautifully modernized by the owner. The area was very peaceful, the room was very nice and the game console in the lobby gave it a nice touch. The owner even made complimentary cookies for the guests. The breakfast was really good. You can tell there’s a lot of heart and soul put into it, a lot of attention to details that make for a great stay. We would book again if we’re ever around the area.

The host ran down the driveway to welcome us and to help us park! He ran!! How unique is this? Both hosts helped us with our luggage. The home is a Victorian dream, with beautiful oak woodwork and sumptuous wallpaper. Amanda cooked full breakfasts for us, and had other extras available. Location is good for walking.

I travel frequently and first time staying at a B & B. Stayed in unit 5. Really spacious but not as clean as expected. Bugs encounterd in shower stall. Water stains and holes in ceiling tiles. Hair in the freezer area in fridge.Tom was very nice and pleasant no complaints with him. Breakfast was posted as 7 to 9 walked upstairs was given an awkard look by Amanda to be advised that its not ready , left and came back and was chastised due to she burnt the bacon as if it was my fault? Even though Tom was kind enough to ask what i would like the night before? He made up for it buy bringing bacon to my room. I was advised by Amanda to text her when I wanted bacon? Just akward and odd. Steep driveway. Loud noises from screaming kids at 10:30 pm in front of unit 5 which is a gaming room with air hockey table after trying to sleep after enjoying day. Pool water looked scary was advised pool pump was broken. Will I ever stay at a B & B again? No. The Comfort Inn up the street is a little more money but guaranteed full breakfast , quiter and cleaner and no attitudes.

Upon our arrival, we received a warm welcome from Thomas. He shared the history of the property and made recommendations on restaurants in the area. Amanda greeted us in the morning as we enjoyed our breakfast. My wife also loved spending time with the family cat, Tally. We would definitely stay here again.

Charming, Welcoming, and Truly Memorable We absolutely loved our stay at VAAST Bed and Breakfast in Adamstown! The home is a beautifully preserved historic gem, full of character and stunning details that make it feel both elegant and cozy. Amanda and her family were incredibly warm and welcoming—they truly made us feel like part of the family. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with its own private bathroom. The water pressure was excellent, the sheets were incredibly soft, and everything felt clean and thoughtfully prepared. It’s clear a lot of care goes into every part of the experience. Breakfast was delicious and homemade, a perfect start to the day. Amanda’s cooking was just as comforting as the surroundings. We also enjoyed exploring the area—there are plenty of antique shops nearby, and the Green Dragon Market was a fun and unique stop. Our entire family had a wonderful time and would come back in a heartbeat. VAAST is a true gem and a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway!

Spent two nights here. Very cute and cozy B&B in the middle of Adamstown. About 15 minutes from downtown Reading. Amanda and her husband have put a lot of effort into making a comfortable and enjoyable stay in this historical home, which feels very modern. Room was spacious, had a big-screen smart TV with streaming apps, a Keurig, and very comfortable bedding. The mini-split helped to regulate the temperature well when it was freezing cold outside. Breakfast was lovely and fresh made each day with a good selection. Self check-in is a plus as is off-street parking. Fun and well-behaved dog who follows everyone around. Not too much within walking distance but there is a diner for breakfast/lunch around the corner as well as a grocery store with local delicacies. Just FYI - the rooms are on the third floor and it is a walkup without an elevator, so those with mobility issues may find it difficult to stay here. Hope to get the opportunity to stay at VAAST again!

Amanda was the most delightful hostess and made sure everything was just right! VAAST is perfectly centered for all Lancaster activities, and a nice drive to Philadelphia, too. Lovely little town, not far from the turnpike, and lots of charming Amish culture nearby. Walking up two steep flights of stairs at VAAST gave us our exercise for the day, and burned off the calories from visits to several smorgasbords, ice cream shops and Amanda’s delicious breakfasts. I recommend the VAAST B&B for anyone seeking a clean, friendly, convenient, delightful experience. We drove all the way from Texas, and we’re very glad we did!!!

I don't usually write reviews, but I was impressed by our one night stay here. It was on the main street, in a town which had been bypassed sometime ago. There was parking on the street and some at the side of the house for guests. We had room 2, a queen, had a larger than usual shower, water was too hot for me had to turn it down, and the toilet was in the same room. A hand basin was in the bedroom. Room 2 also contained a desk closet, dresser, side tables and a large TV to which the owner had added VAAST Guest id's on Netflix and Hulu for guests (nice touch). Room 2 is up 2 flights of stairs but I'm over 70 and made it up and down them ok. Breakfast was described as continental, but we were served eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes and grits. We didn't touch any of the oats, yogurt etc plus they had English Breakfast tea and a hot water tap on the cooler, I don't often find a decent cup of tea in the USA. Finally a few words on the house. The downstairs was full of interesting things and a lot of them were for sale, there was a picture of an angel in room 2. She looked pretty depressed. I don't often get moved by paintings, I like photos better. Anyway I will be back (as long as it doesn't get too popular and the prices sky-rocket.)

Truly lovely B&B with all the amenities, a delicious breakfast, and warm and friendly hosts who were eager to make our stay a delightful one. Convenient off-street parking and an incredible backyard with comfortable poolside seating and lounging spots. This is a beautiful and restful setting.

The owners, Tom and Amanda, are amazing hosts. Their home is beautiful and relaxing and they are always striving to see to your comfort. Breakfast is plentiful with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, juice, coffee, tea and even fresh cinnamon bread right out of the oven. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Relaxing visit, enjoyed porch and main floor sitting areas several times during our stay. Full hot breakfast with several options, water, coffee and tea available all day. Very clean, easy parking. We were hiking and biking in the area. Stayed in lovely bedroom on 3rd floor with fridge, private bath, excellent A/C, tv options. Super easy and friendly check-in. A few other guests but only saw them at breakfast. Friendly and quiet. Beautiful pool in backyard which we didn't set at because we enjoyed sitting on the large front porch. Family dog named "Sky" is super friendly. All very comfortable and plan to visit again.

VAAST is an adorable B&B. There are some beautifully made pieces of wood furniture. The hostess did a good job explaining the amenities. I would enjoy spending more time there in the future.
