Disappointed no Coffee setup in dining area for early morning risers. Coffee pot in rooms subpar. Complimentary breakfast very good, would be nice if sausage-gravy was added. Very nice to get the Free drink tickets, but would be nice if the hours to redeem was from 3-6pm. No Hot-tub. Very confusing on What amenities are available for ES customers to Marriott and Cavalier. Conflicting answers from ES and Marriott employees about use of pools. We realize you just opened in February. We look forward to a return trip next May! Mike Braner. Mary Anne’s Husband.

Some of the staff and the property info on the links given did not properly explain what was available and included in our stay between the 3 resort properties versus what was a separate additional fee so we had to find out on our own but by then it was too late for us to do get to do some of those things. Example: One of the reasons we picked this hotel was for the hot tubs and possible spa services shown. When asking about the hot tub shown in the hotel pictures one person over the phone told us it was available and included in our stay but other spa services were separate and additional of course but a different front desk person told us it was not available to us unless thru the spa services or if you booked a room w that particular sister hotel only. Although there are two separate hot tubs -the information given was confusing so we did not get to use either the of them.

This is a great place with direct access to the beach. The free breakfast is tricky since it fills up fast you you end up waiting. Dog friendly but the free chairs do not include and umbrella so bring your own unless you want to pay $30 a day. Overall very nice and the dinning options are good and prices are reasonable.

Everyone was friendly from the moment we drove up. Dining options were plentiful within the resort (3 hotels) and extremely walkable. It was very convenient to hit the beach with chairs and towels provided. The complimentary breakfast and free happy hour made each day begin and end in a great way! Would love to bring friends back to visit again!

My room (room 984) wasn't cleaned. After I reported to the front desk, I was told that they knocked my door since I didn't repond, they didn't clean it. I DIDN'T display the sign because I needed the roto be cleaned. A lady who was cleaning the room just nest next to mine (room 982) saw me leaving my room. I hope this hotel doesn't make the decision on which rooms to clean based on how the customers names sound. I am still trying to understand. With the price paid I was expecting better treatment.

No housekeeping during my stay. This was not discussed at check-in so very surprising to come back to find the bed not made, the trash not emptied, and the wet towels still piled in the shower. I expected a lot more for an above average property like this one. Not impressed.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. This collection of hotels feels like a resort. Every area of the hotel was immaculately kept. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. Some things that I would change are the room temperatures. I enjoy a cooler room, and throughout the night it felt as though the temperature crept up. The restaurants were very expensive and one in particular, the Deck, was mediocre in service and quality. The happy hour reception is a very nice gesture!!!

This is a gorgeous hotel with generous sized rooms and amazing views! The staff is friendly and eager to please. Don’t forget to walk the boardwalk, visit the historical hotel on the hill across the street, and have a bite to eat at O’Rions roof for the best view in the city! The location is the best in Va Beach and has the most gorgeous Christmas decorations! Bring the family and be prepared for a fantastic vacation complete with free delicious breakfast, complimentary Happy Hour each evening and everything within walking or biking distance. Park and relax!

Hotel was clean and beautiful. Property is beautiful. The shower had good water pressure and got to a good temperature. The bed was very uncomfortable. Felt more like sleeping on a box spring than a mattress. I woke up with shoulder pain each morning. The room unfortunately was over a roof top with loud machines running - I’m assuming it was the HVAC system. So despite having a side ocean view , all you could hear on the balcony was the loud humming of machines. Which was really bothersome.

I reserved a king bed ocean front view. However during my checkin I was told that the hotel over booked the ocean front rooms so they put me in a room looking at the street. I was so disappointed because it was my wife and I anniversary and we always get an ocean front view when we stay at a oceanfront hotel. The hotel did give me a credit of $300. However I would have paid $300 more in order to get what I was expecting. Next time I will take the time to call ahead before traveling out there to make sure the correct room is reserved for us.

Overall, the stay was very good. My only complaint was the view from my room/balcony which looked out to the multiple HVAC units. When I expressed my concern to the front desk I was told that this was a general complaint and there was nothing that could be done. For the cost of the night, the hotel should be ashamed of themselves for charging the rate it did. When I sent a formal complaint, the front desk manager’s response was “Unfortunately, due to the reservation being booked through a 3rd party, these rooms will be on the low floors. The room is a partial ocean view and no compensation is to be given as it is the correct room you have booked.” Um, what? My advice is to book directly with the hotel if you want an unobstructed view, otherwise, book through Expedia and collect your points at least. I didn’t find there was much difference in price between the 2 options so I can’t even say that you get what you pay for. Just be sure to take their “partial ocean view” very literal.

I enjoyed my stay, but it was overshadowed by the fact that I was charged twice for my hotel room and still have not been reimbursed. I originally had a hotel room booked at the historic Cavalier hotel. The day before my stay, I received 2 voice mail messages and 2 e-mails from Expedia explaining that I needed to call them to book a room at another hotel. The Cavalier was having A/C issues in some rooms. The only communication from the actual hotel itself concerning this was an e-mail stating that my reservation had been cancelled. I called Expedia and spent an hour and 40 minutes on the phone trying to book a room elsewhere. I got the room, showed up to check in, and realized later on that I had been billed twice. Unbeknownst to me, the Cavalier had booked a room for me already at Embassy Suites. When I rebooked the room through Expedia, I ended up getting charged twice. The first 45 minutes of my hotel stay were spent on the phone with Expedia dealing with this. It has been 4 days, and Expedia is still getting no information from the Cavalier and the hotel is saying that they refuse to reimburse me at this time. This has all been so upsetting, especially as I need the money that was taken from my account. The lack of communication from the Cavalier is disappointing, along with the lack of accountability concerning this issue.

The service is amazing!!!!! The staff, from all areas of the hotel, were truly wonderful and helpfull at all times. However the linens and towels are scratchy. I dont have expensive linens and towels at home so my expectations are not that high.

Property was beautiful, it’s winter so we didn’t come for the beach. I was attending a Holiday party that my company hosted. Pulled up to valet to park my car and the guy got in another and took off. I stood there 15+ minutes and finally just said, “I’ll park it myself” the. He showed when I was driving into the garage and took it. Same thing the following morning at checkout, took forever to get my car. They apologized claiming several events were happening and the hotel was near capacity, to that I say bring more staff in if know this ahead of time. Regardless staff was friendly, just need better planning.

Last year we stayed on the 4th floor this year we stayed on 11th both oceanfront but for some reason the water pressure was very low this year. The valet parking was much better last year. This year we waited at times an hour plus for them to bring our vehicle. The last day we wanted to get an earlier start home and we waited an hour for them to bring our vehicle. The lady at the front desk was nice enough to walk and get security to bring it. Overall we had a great time.

Over crowded and understaffed. Paid extra for late check out. $100 for 2 hours. They deactivated our cards in the middle of it. Had to stand in line for 10 minutes to reactivate. Bet we spent 2 hours total waiting for “valet” to bring our car around

Very nice property. Perfect for out of season although it is not on boardwalk but it is right on beach. Staff was fantastic and very friendly. I had dinner at the Cavalier hotel, part of property, and that was very special place. Downside was many places were not open in the off season and they charge extra for parking!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites. The staff were extremely friendly and willing to assist whenever needed. The breakfast offerings were top notch. However, I would suggest offering meat alternatives, such as, turkey or chicken sausage for those of us that do not eat pork.

Incredible room with amazing views. Lots of space to relax. So clean and comfortable. Wish the restaurant had more options, pretty limited. Parking is shared with the Marriott and you have to walk across the property to get to the garage.

Our family liked that there was a great variety of choices for breakfast such as scrambled eggs, potatoes, pancakes, French toast, cereals, yogurt, oatmeal, muffins, sliced bread. It was always busy at the made-to-order omelette station which is understandable. However, there was this one particular morning where the chef (they have different staff at the omelette station each morning) made very delicious omelette. All my family members agree that theirs were also tasty and he was also cheerful and very organized. What we didn't like is that the dispenser for the waffle mix keeps breaking down and the half-and-half creamer seems always empty.

Embassy Suites was amazing. Really good breakfast with made to order omelettes and anything else you could want. Evening reception was from 4:30-6 daily and included two free alcoholic beverages per adult (we had a hard time getting a non alcoholic drink for our son though) - wines well drinks and beer. Snacks were crackers cheese cubes tortilla chips salsa and veggies and dip. Pool area lovely and beach included two chairs. We had no issues a getting a third for our son. Umbrellas were $29 for day - crazy price glad we brought our own. We ate at Arbuckle's twice and at Hunt Room at Cavalier - that was amazing. Great ambiance and our waiter Declan was great! Also ate twice at Tacos and Tequila and our waiter William was gracious friendly and efficient - food was great. Been to Virginia Beach many times - kind of family tradition since 2017 and have stayed many places - will def come back here. We had a king bed quite two rooms and really liked it. Also did the lawn party at Cavalier - really nice.

Stayed here on 1/6-1/7. Beautiful hotel. Very clean! Staff was very nice and accommodating. Two complementary drinks daily per guest. Breakfast is good. Arbuncle’s has amazing food. We really enjoyed ourselves. Pool was clean and relaxing. Worth every penny.
