Whilst knowing the hotel was on Khaosan road and it was going to be busier/louder we were not aware from other reviews that the hotel was on top of 3 drum and bass clubs open until 4am each night. The window slides do nothing to quieten the noise and we were at the back of the hotel where it was quieter and even then you could still feel the floor shaking from the music. The swim up pool bar advertised is closed permanently and the jacuzzi is just an extension of the pool with jets. The entire hotel is very run down and out of date, I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re planning on being out all night and not sleeping

Meget udemærket hotel, dog var det mere lydt end forventet. Derudover var deres laundry service uforholdsmæssig dyr, og der blev ikke gjort rent på værelset i løbet af opholdet. Poolen var ved at blive renoveret, men man kunne bruge poolen på søsterhotellet overfor, og den var meget fin.

Nice for when your young and in to partying. Loud music till 4 every night. Kettle and tv weren’t working in the room and the swimming pool (that’s why we booked this) was under construction

The hotel felt safe and the entrance was slightly set back from the Main Street with security at the entrance, I didn’t use the pool but it looked fine. There was a lot of noise but you are right on Khao San a very busy street- bring ear plugs! The room was clean and had all I needed.

The staff were incredible always with every interaction. I came with 3 kids- which was probably my bad on Khaosan Road, but our room was so loud (like sooooo loud- we can handle inconveniences, this was like being next to a speaker in a night club). So we moved on the second night at 2am. We had to split into two rooms, and they were MUCH quieter, but still not quiet. This property is best suited for a backpacker type traveller who is up for 5pm to 5am parties. The roof top pool was nice, but dated.

Coquerelle dans les chambres, nous avons demander d'être rembourser et de quitter sur le champ et toute demande nous a été refuser sauf un changement de chambre. La propreté laisse terriblement à désirer. Soyez patient avec la douche, sois on s'ébouillante ou on prend la douche à l'eau froide. Plus jamais!!!

La propiedad sobre un mercado callejero, por lo que siempre hay mucha gente sobre la calle, fiesta y ruido, pero no como para no poder dormir, es una experiencia muy thailandesa con cama al piso, el baño tiene muy poca privacidad así que es mejor hospedarse con gente de confianza, la limpieza es cada 3 días así que no esperen mucho, la verdad por el precio no está mal.

Checkin staff were good but on checkout they neglected to return the cash deposit and apon realising I needed to return and get it back. The place was dirty, as in not ever cleaned properly dirty. Ok the place is old as the name says, Dang Derm translates to Old Place, and it’s in need of a refurbishment but grime on the floor from not being mopped is unacceptable. Then there’s the water in the shower, hot then cold, hot, cold, extremely hot then cold. Not recommended.

Bra poolområde, städningen katastrof, ljudnivå (om man inte festar) rätt så förfärligt (rummet skakar). Välj inte rum mot gatan om ni inte ska festa även om ni får öronproppar. Nergånget hotell som endast lever på att de har pool på taket. Receptionpersonalen var ok och försökte lösa saker. Dyrt för att vara så dåligt

Le lit est un simple matelas couché au sol, les oreillers sont affreux, la salle de bain est dépouillée au possible, seulement un lavabo et un pommeau de douche sur le mur sans meme un bac a douche. Le petit balcon aurait pu etre sumpa si la vue ne donnait pas sur un mur et les ordures partout au som.

To be honest it can be loud at night, a lot of clubs and music on that street, but I stayed on back side of hotel and barely heard a thing. Also as one local explained this Hotel is Thai Style..so if you don't like your mattress on floor and toilet and shower in same spot than this is not your place..but if you like to live more local style great choice.. Nice pool on roof with swim up bar also just regular bar on roof that serves drinks and food. Also area as alot of shops and stands, bars, clubs, restaurants and even a 7/11 across the street. I would stay again.

We stayed for 28 nights. Everything was great. The room was large. The service was wonderful. The hotel for us was quiet. We aren't big partiers, but I couldn't hear the party. The pool area was very nice. The elevators worked fast so you weren't waiting around.

pros: right on khao san road cons: the very last sentence in the description hints at it: for any visitor to your room you will have to pay 500baht, which is a very unfitting policy at this location. multiple broken appliances: window frame was shattered, no hot water in the shower most of the times, faucet is not mounted to the socket and just wobbles around, jammed balcony door, flickering lights and many more. the bathroom door is not solid, so moisture,sound & smell travel completely unimpaired The older lady at reception is rude, unwilling to help with any of even the smaller problems ( like a missing glass), and will not even look at you while waving you off

Dang Derm is right in the middle of Khaosan Road so if you want to be slap bang in the thick of the thumping nightlife then it’s ideal. The blaring music is audible from your hotel room and goes on until 4am so be prepared for that. But if chaotic, fascinating, loud and relentless is your thing then it’s the place to stay. There’s a pool on the roof if you want to take a break from it all and cool off from the sun and humidity. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly, helpful and spoke good English

Because of the location, the street of the hotel is party town at night, different kinds of loud music with humongous speakers coming from all the different restaurants around the area. My friends were unable to sleep well at night. But lots of shops and restaurant at your doorsteps.

This is in the center of nightlife. If you don't want to struggle with traffic and taxi$ at the end of the night, just stay here. Good price, large rooms, AC, a pool with a bar on the roof. It's a very friendly, safe place.

This is the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel. Generally we have an excellent time, this time though we had a little trouble with the room being smaller, even though we had booked the same room as every other time. I see people complain about outside noise, and that noise wasnt bad at all. The noise from the neighbors was sometimes overwhelming. But nothing I can really do about that. Pool cafe attendants were amazing and very friendly.

The pool bar didnt have supplies for smoothies, they didnt clean the room even if you left the clean riom sign on door. I asked frint desk to have my room and it was ignored, until I asked to refunded and Id stay at a different hotel. Refund was ignored and 2 hours later the room finally got poorly done. Our dated rooms, matress on floor...its just a poor service and liw quality stay for the price. Id highly recommend avoidjng this hotel.

La piscina no estaba abierta y no había restaurante. I have been to more than 70 countries and it has never happened to me in any hotel. The girl at the reception told me that she had to check out until five and we left our bags inside and when we left they made us pay for something we didn't need. The pool was not open and there was no restaurant.
