Hotel was generally clean including the room. Breakfast was acceptable with a decent variety. Pool and gym were small but in good condition as well. My only complaint is the Air Conditioner in the room that didn’t cool down the room. The outside temp was about 83F and on first floor, I can imagine during full FL summer time how hot that room can get with that weak A/C.

This was a perfect choice for a long weekend beach trip. You can walk to the beach easily; you're just one block away, and can also walk across the street to the Track for arcades games and mini golf or to the Back Porch for dinner or ice cream. The patio and pool were well maintained and the staff was really friendly and let us have a late checkout since our flight was later. Great hotel!

Hotel was clean and appearance was good. Pool was close two days of our stay. The breakfast could use some work with keeping up with items that are out like milk, cereal and juice. The omelets that were served a few days were oasty and didnt taste good. Furiture and mattresses ould be uodated and replaced as they are qorn down.

Hallway carpets are filthy. Cleaning staff did not visit our room once while we were there to freshen it up or leave clean towels or make the bed, etc. Our trash cans were not emptied. Most hotels for the same price have a custodial staff on the floors at all hours during the workday.

Our room was dirty. There was long hairs on the floor in the bathroom and in the bed sheets. There was some black mold under the soap containers in the shower. This kind of grossed me out. I had to spray everything down with Lysol disinfecting spray.

The room carpets were soiled and the bathroom floor was sticky. The pillows had a sour smell. The hallway carpeting aw dirty and had an odor. I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and got a different hotel thru Expedia. I am seeking a refund from Expedia as the hotel would not address the refund.

This is probably the worst Hampton Inn that have stayed in in regards to condition. The property needsa major paint job inside. All the doors are scratched and looked disheveled. The carpet, seriously? Don't you guys clean the carpets ever? They're disgusting. Spend some money and get your carpets cleaned especially in offseason.

The front desk staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. The view from our room was very good. The facility needs a good cleaning. The carpets in the hallways and common areas are stained and dirty as are the chairs in the breakfast area. The evening of our second full day, we had to request housekeeping as we were out of towels and the trash cans were full. On day 2, breakfast foods (including cereal, muffins, etc.) were out except waffles and sausage approximately 40 minutes before breakfast time was over.

Staff when I checked in very friendly she was very polite. Check out at 3:30am was a male not so friendly. Room was ok bathroom was not so clean there was someone hair in the shower and the tub was not clean.

Front desk was super nice, unfortunately upon entering the hotel room we noticed what looked like poop on the wall and ceiling. In the bathroom looked to be a piece of a fake nail. We checked out right after that and found a different hotel. With 3 kids, 1 crawling I didn’t feel it was sanitary to have kids there.

Walls are too thin, you can hear everything all night long. No hot tub which would have been nice considering the pool is not heated and was freezing. Also could have used lounge chairs by the pool instead of only table chairs.

Hotel is in a great location. Right across the street from the beach, walking distance to lots of stores and restaurants. The hotel itself is a bit dated and needs some updating. The hallway carpets were heavily stained. The room I had was aging, but large and comfortable. There is also a nice pool. Staff was friendly as well. Overall it was just OK

Relatively fine BUT my AC in room 146 was very loud. Off and on all night, loud pops of noise from it. It was hard to sleep. Front desk staff are pretty dismal, didnt seem like they cared or liked their jobs much.

Chose this hotel due to location near the beach and reasonable price/night. The room was on 2nd floor with a partial view of the Gulf of Mexico. The beds were comfortable and hot breakfast was a plus. Would have loved the pool, but it was too cold outside to use it.

Location is the only reason to stay here. Right in the middle of Destin it’s so easy to get around. The Back Porch restaurant and public beach access within a 2-minute walk. The downside is that it’s very outdated. Carpets in room and hall are old and it shows. Doors and walls beat up. Hot water takes forever. Electric outlets are slow to charge devices. Staff not overly friendly but efficient.

Property/room was very good. Staff wasn't that friendly, but OK. If you stay more than one night, staff only cleans the room every other day. Trash cans in room are small so trash ends up in the floor by the small trash can. This seems lazy to me and a lower level of service than I expected. Also, we couldn't check in even 15 min. early (at 3:00 PM). No concern for our convenance. None.

Upon our arrival, our Fire alarm was going off and when we contacted the front desk, the receptionist told us it was not a big deal and to “deal with it, there’s nothing I can do.” I am a career firefighter and I told her that I would not go back into the room until the alarm had been reset and cleared by the fire department as safe to enter, and she said “then find somewhere else to go.” Our sink was clogged and had stagnant water in it, our lights would not turn on and the room was extremely dirty with stains on the bedsheets and debris all over the carpet. When these issues were also brought to the other receptionists attention, she said that there was nothing we could do about it and to contact Expedia for a refund. I am highly disappointed in the service that they provided, and the poor attitude from the receptionists did not help either. We only stayed for one night and left, and still had to pay the remaining bill for nights we were not there. I am extremely disappointed and will not be using Hampton Inn or Expedia again unless this is resolved.

The property is older and it is not on the beach, but the staff makes up for any physical faults. The staff was better than some luxury hotels I have stayed. Karen at the front desk was so kind and helpful. She should get a promotion for her empathy, kindness, and professionalism.

I liked the atmosphere and the convenient location of it near stores, parks, and the beach. The cleanliness was below average, and the service was terrible. I paid 3600 for 4 nights, and me and my fmaily got there exhausted at midnight, yet they had us sitting in the lobby for two hours trying to get us a room because "the system was down." I still paid 3600 so why they have us waiting for two hours? That's unacceptable for the price. Also, the hotel was very overpriced at 267 a night per room even though the rooms weren't worth that much.

I called the Sunday before I was to be arriving and ask the forms of payment accepted. She told me à1that all Hampton Inn accept cash , credit card or debit card. Well when I arrived they said they didn't take cash. The bank was closed already. It was a nightmare trying to get checked in .

This is our 5th time staying at this hotel and by far the worst. The front staff was rude (mainly one lady with the long braids think her name was Devan) she acted like we were bothering her when asking about our room then proceeded to slam papers down in front of me and poorly explained the details of our stay. The room was hot, refrigerator didn’t work, couldn’t get the tv to work the entire week and maintenance was a joke. The location of this hotel is great and is why we always book here but the rooms could use some updating.

This beachside hotel has no beach access. This is absolutely unreal to me. It should be a legal requirement to state - in all caps - "YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WALK TO THE BEACH IF YOU STAY HERE. NO BEACH ACCESS." in the listing if your guests are going to have to get in their car and drive over to Fort Walton Beach in order to find decent public access to a beach because. What is point really of booking a hotel that is quite literally in the parking lot of the beach, you can see the beach from the hotel, and yet you have no beach access. The attendants will tell you there is a public beach at the end of the street near The Porch, but that is a joke. This is a clear bait and switch and an obvious rip off.

The hotel is right across the street from the beach. We were able to walk down to the beach. There was even a restaurant on the way to the beach. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. I even like that Hilton offers an app for your whole experience. You can check in/ check out, unlock all doors and even operate the TV all in the app. It was pretty cool. Will stay there again.

One thing that I was disappointed in was the breakfast. The orange juice was very bitter. There was no milk, chocolate milk, regular milk that you could take out of the fridge in a carton. The container of milk on the counter for cereal was empty the sausage patty which I’m assuming that’s what it was Did not even resemble sausage and a taste was not very good at all. Stayed at many Hamptons before this one was definitely not my favorite.

This was the perfect spot. The beach is right across the street and down the road for public access. Rooms were clean staff was friendly. If I were to say anything a little less positive, it would be the wonderful breakfast that they provided for us to make even on the hot sternal, the eggs sausage and potatoes where on the cold side, so we had to ask for them to microwave and they did happily. And that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there

Great location. The first and second floor ice machines were out of order. Had to go to the 3rd floor for ice. The breakfast was ok. Just wished they would use real eggs instead of powder ones. Otherwise a good stay.
