Hotell Fjället

Stod ingenting om att hotellet bara är öppet under vissa perioder. Eller att både restaurang, bastu osv var stängda. Eller att receptionen stängde redan kl 21:00. Vi fick en väldigt trist och utnött stuga i en stugby, som sett sina bättre dagar för väldigt sedan. Dock var killen på jourtelefonen väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam! Men i övrigt en riktigt tråkig upplevelse. I synenhet för det priset.

This place is MAGNIFICENT! 1. The staff here were great -special shout out to pretty Vanja & Vandala, if you want to see Amanda Seyfried in her prime, travel there now-. And also, El, I wasn't able to have a ski lesson from her -hopefully someday- but her spirit is dazzling. 2. Food was awesome-breakfast buffet/a la carte/lounge menu. Vanja can make you superb cocktails too (wink wink) depending on the appropriate time of the day. She made me a warm Hot Cocoa KIss one evening then a refreshing lingon vodka drink by check-out. 3. They have wide variety of souvenir items & a 24hr convenient store for everything you need. Ms. Annie (I hope I got that right) at reception was kind to warm my soup for me but there's no need to buy things like that before travelling cause they already have those available. 4. My room was ofcourse exquisite, all the things a 5 star hotel offers but more like fresh water out of the tap and exceptional fragrant of soap and shampoo but most of all... I could even watch the Northern Lights from my window. 5. Even more sublime and to add 5 more stars to this exceptional establishment is the location of the ski resort. It is near the peak of the mountain which means you could literally be on top of the world and experience the divine Northern lights. I will come back Hotell Fjället... Mahal kita!

Hela familjen är jättenöjda efter att ha firat jul på Hotell Fjället. Hotellet är mysigt och rogivande och ligger otroligt fint till. Frukosten har allt man kan önska och utöver det finns tillgång till lunch, middag samt en fast meny i lobbyn. Rummen har några år på nacken, men sängarna var supersköna och det var rent. Perfekta backen precis utanför hotellet för att ta sig en bit bort från ljuset för att spana efter norrsken. Smidigt att åka tåg till Abisko under dagen, om tågen inte är inställda dvs. Uthyrning av skidutrustning, snöskor mm. Dessutom dök självaste tomten upp på julafton! Vad mer kan man önska?

Koselig frokostsal, helt greie rom med medium standard. Håndsåpa funket ikke så måtte helle fra flaska, ikke kjøleskap og små hodeputer.. ellers god og varierte utvalg til frokost, god mat fra restauranten, men vi måtte vente en time da appen vi bestilte maten i ikke fungerte fra hotellets side. Lite erfaring hos enkelte bartendere også dessverre…

Hytten var en deluxe hytte med sauna og udsigt. Udsigten var absolut fantastisk. Hytten var slidt med mærkværdige elledninger liggende på gulvet. Der var fint varmt. Der var glat på hele området og vi oplevede det som utrygt, at de ikke gjorde mere for at gøre vejene mere farbare og sikre. Der er store stigninger, så det er nødvendigt at kunne stå fast. Vi oplevede prisforskel på mad når vi tjekkede den infofolder de har og deres app. De bruger en app til bestilling i lobbyen, så der er ingen reel kontakt med personalet og det virker ærlig talt ret utiltalende. De virkede ret ufleksible og forvirrede. Vi skulle også selv opdage, og tage krydderier til maden. Pomfritterne var hårde og min fisk var sej. Heldigvis var udsigten smuk og det var derfor vi var der. Men prisen er for høj til niveauet. Eller niveauet for lavt til prisen.

Very well located hotel, ideal position to watch the aurora without going far. Room was ok. There are several shared facilities like sauna, table football, bar which make the stay pleasant even far from all main facilities. The whole hotel was a bit cold to stay in. Staff on location was nice, but it was difficult to communicate with them before the stay to get info - they urged to book a table at the restaurant if we wanted to dine there, but never explained that there was a fixed menu for new year's eve (which I had asked through expedia never getting any reply), until we were sitting at the table

The hotel itself was pretty cozy. The staff were friendly, for the most part. They have a sauna, gym, restaurant, lobby bar, game room, and a bar downstairs. The views were incredible. There were a lot of activities to keep busy. The only downside is the cost to get to the hotel from the airport in Kiruna. There were no trains or buses available after our flight arrived or before we departed, so we had to pay for a taxi both trips. It cost us $268 for the drive to the hotel, and $238 back to the airport. The cab drivers will up charge you for everything, so be prepared.

Gute Größe, mit moderner Einrichtung. Schuhheizung vorhanden und einen Trockner für nasse Sachen. Geräumiger Flur im Eingang Bequeme Betten. Es gab keinen Ofen. Es gab kein WLAN. Kein Bettzeug und Handtücher inklusive. Die elektrische Sauna wurde NICHT RICHTIG HEISS (höchstens 55-60 Grad)!!!!

Tolles Frühstück mit Panoramablick. Zimmer leider sehr hellhörig. Gereinigt wird nur bei Ein-/Auszug.

We stayed one night in summer. The cabin was clean and cosy, and staff were helpful. Arriving late was no issue thanks to the 24/7 reception. Booked via Hotels.com, unfortunately there was no info that bed linen and cleaning weren’t included, so double-check in advance. Nice peaceful spot, with a waterfall and beach about 2 km away. Overall, a pleasant stay!

Hotellet har ju några år på nacken men känns väl inarbetat och tryggt! Rummen är välstädade och fräscha trots ett något äldre ytskickt. Personalen är trevlig, tillmötesgående och kunnig! Det finns bl.a bastu att tillgå. Restaurangen har mycket gott både till frukost och middag! Jag kan varmt rekommendera Björkliden fjällhotell!

Me gustó que estuviera en una estación de ski. No me gustó que te cobren las sabanas y toallas. Tienes que limpiar toda la cabaña sino pueden sancionarte con 2 mil Coronas Suecas. No incluye desayuno. No tiene opción de transporte, un taxi a 10km cuesta 55eur. La cabaña era antigua y no contaba por ejemplo con una cafetera, de algun tipo. El acceso desde recepción, con tanta nieve y tan empinado no tienes ayuda salvo que vayas a eskiar. Sin duda de los peores sitios donde me he alojado.

Inte särskilt serviceorienterad personal, stod hellre och pratade med varandra bakom disken än att hjälpa oss som ville checka in. Inte ett leende i onödan fick man känslan av. Slitna rum och fick ingen städning även fast jag skulle ha det. Fin utsikt och bra frukost, men inte prisvärt med tanke på priset för det skicket och tråkiga servicen.

Por el precio que hay que pagar por el alojamiento, no deberían cobrar las sábanas y toallas (220 SEK) Tienes que hacer la limpieza con instrucciones, si no te penalizan con 2000 SEK

Als je andere opties hebt, dan moet je voor die gaan. Ondanks dat een deel van het personeel van Hotell Fjället erg vriendelijk is, begrijpt het management van het hotel niet hoe je een hotel professioneel moet runnen. De kamers zijn erg klein, outdated. De locatie is echter wel heel erg mooi. Met goed management zou het geweldig zijn. Het is onderdeel van een keten die werkelijk alleen maar uit zijn om veel geld te verdienen. Je moet één dag van te voren aangeven of je kamer schoongemaakt moet worden. Dit zou je direct bij inchecken moeten aangeven. Je wordt er echter niet op gewezen.

Cons: Parking Spaces are too far from the room, specially on extremely cold temperatures, the rooms are very old, very small and very noisy. Also cleaning is big issue, we never saw a vacuum working which makes a very dusty carpet.

The two bedroom cabin we stayed in was really big and had an amazing view of the lake. We stayed with our six year old and had a really amazing time. The oven and microwave are useful for cooking and there's lots of space for relaxing. I found the hotel was really quick on emailing me back when I had questions. The hotel itself has a small shop (microwave pasta, a few tins, snacks, milk, coffee etc) that can see you through the first night, as well as small childrens' sleds that you can rent for about 50 crowns a day. The buffet lunches in the hotel restaurant are really good value. Very few gotchas. We brought our own sleeping bags, pillow cases and towels to avoid a relatively steep charge for bedding and towels, and you're also asked to vacuum and mop the cabins before you check out, again to avoid a very steep cleaning fee. In our cabin the oven was on its own electrical circuit which needed to be turned on individually from an unlabelled timer switch in the porch – we needed reception's help to figure this out! Would definitely stay again; incredible location.

En utmaning att vistas två personer i ett minimalt rum. Bodde på hotellet förra veckan också i ett större rum men för samma pris. Märkligt!

The chalets were very comfortable, 2 separate rooms and decent sized single beds (some very tiny ones down in Abisko!). Sauna was wonderful! Views in the morning were stunning (we were second row from the front). Kitchen had what we needed and the food in Hotel Fjallet itself was delicious. On the down side, the numbers of the chalets were not marked particularly well and Reception couldn't book us a table for dinner, we had to go onto the website which was faffy but all good in the end.

Trevligt hotell (vi bodde på pensionatet) med rymliga dubbelrum. Skicket är äldre men helt och rent. Dock är det väldigt lyhört så är man lättväckt så gör man rätt i att ha med sig öronproppar. Priset är väldigt lågt, även under högsäsong, vilket gör detta till ett otroligt prisvärt alternativ. Frukosten var generös och välsmakande. I mysiga Mellanfjärden finns restaurang, bistro, butik, café och camping. Väl värt ett besök!

We had (and are still having!) a horrible experience with their customer service. They are purposefully unreachable, both by us and by Expedia (!). The "English" phone number will eventually just play an error message (in Swedish, of course), via email they only answered several weeks after we first tried contacting them and only to push the ball forward without actually giving any answer. We thought we might have been better luck in person but... when we were informed that the manager got sick coincidentally just the night before meeting us things veered into ridiculousness. I can understand receiving a "no" to our adjustment request, but honestly this type of behavior is completely unprofessional. We were left with weeks without even knowing if the hotel would be open...

Flott sted. God utsikt og fine rom. Dessverre kjip frokostopplevelse. Sure damer som jobba der og skinkene var bedervet. De som jobba i frokosten var sure. Det manglet kaffe, egg, reint bestikk, melk og mye annet. De som jobba der spiste i stedet for å jobbe. Sa i fra i resepsjonen. De sa bare: Mottatt. Ingen beklagelser.

There were extreme weather conditions that cancelled all means of reaching the location. The hotel refused to cancel and even move my booking for another time. I felt this was an abusive way of holding to the booking terms and conditions under events of force major.

The cabin was nice, warm and cosy. Kitchen is great as well as bed rooms and living room area. Shower could be a bit updated. Staff was really great and friendly and gave good tips and recommendations. Would come back again for sure.

Totally Amazing location! The hotel is on top of a mountain with excellent views of the surrounding landscape and lake. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff are kind and professional. The restaurant in the hotel serves a great breakfast and we had a delicious dinner for New Years Eve. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fjallet! Thank you!

amazing setting, gorgeous views, unforgettable walks in the nearby paths. the hotel is also decent, but the real attraction here is the overwhelming beauty of nature.

It’s 15 minutes drive to Abisko, and from the room we can see a really nice view of the lake! Great value and convenient if you rent a car. Their restaurant does not offer a lot of food options though. The toilet looks quite old but is very clean.

Vilket fantastiskt ställe!! Så mysigt boende med jättetrevlig personal och perfekt läge för alla aktiviteter man kan tänka sig. Egen restaurang gjorde det smidigt med frukost, lunch och middag bara några steg från rummet. Tack! Vi kommer tillbaka! ☺️

Fantastiskt mysigt hotell. Lobbyn hade eldstad, fåtöljer och soffor där vi spenderade en hel dag med att bara återhämta oss och njuta av utsikten och lugnet. Hade önskat att frukosten hade fler lokala inslag, den vara ganska basic och tråkig. Sedan var dörrarna till rummen väldigt tunna och dåligt tätade. Man hörde minsta lilla ljud i korridoren som om att dörren hade varit öppen. Kändes inte jätteprivat och det störde sömnen en del. Men sammanfattningsvis hade vi en fantastisk vistelse.

The hiking trails were incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed the quiet of visiting in the shoulder season. The food was amazing for dinner and the breakfast buffet. I was very grateful for how careful the staff was in regard to my celiac disease, all the gluten free food was wonderful and it was nice feeling safe to eat there.
