The hotel was perfect for a two nights stay. Good parking and convenient to get into the building. The room was a good size with two queen size beds. Beds were very firm, but they did have plenty of pillows and the bedding was perfect. We were on the third floor so the water pressure wasn’t great in the shower but they had plenty of towels. we travel with two dogs and there was an area to walk them and a large lot right next to the hotel so they really enjoyed it. we would definitely stay again.

Inside the building it was clean, quiet and nice. In the back parking lot, it was very dirty. The grounds surrounding the lot was littered with trash and debris. One person looked to be sleeping in his car. I did appreciate the very bright lighting in that lot. A small clean up of the back lot would make a big difference in first impressions!!

The hotel bed was comfortable but the tv service was losing signal often. The website also shows photos of a pool as an amenity and it was the reason we decided to book this hotel for our stay however the pool is actually out of order so please keep this in mind if you have kids who are looking forward to get into a pool during their stay. The ice machine also didn’t work.

After a slight glitch with my reservation which was EXPERTLY RESOLVED BY the front desk professional Tracie Patrick, my stay was excellent. The room was clean, large, well appointed. The bed was comfortable. The temperature control was very efficient. The room had mini refrigerator, coffee service and microwave. The water in the sink and the shower became comfortably hot. Plenty of free parking. They offer free breakfast, but I did not partake. I think the room was a bit pricey, but it was Labor Day weekend so I suppose that explains it. I would readily stay here again.

It was pretty tiresome because swimming pool wasn’t working. The back door to the parking lot wasn’t working and the elevator wasn’t working. The coffee pot in my room wasn’t working either. There was a Millipede in my bathroom crawling across the floor. Ugh.

Check in was great and room was clean, the issue was that they were short staffed and no one ever came to clean our room. No effort was made to at least remove trash. We were there from Friday night through Tuesday morning. We used a Do Not Disturb sign once on Saturday around 5pm. So no excuse not have had the rooms cleaned. I was able to speak to a cleaning person and they had no time aside from leaving soaps, clean towels and toilet paper after requesting them. That was on Sunday. Walls are thin you can hear the guests in the other rooms. Very basic motel vibe.

The bar soap was unwrapped and used There was water around the sink Mysterious stain on floor I called ahead and said I was allergic to feather in pillows and blankets, they said it wasn’t a problem, but the number was a hotline or something— their pillows and blankets only had feather—- I had to use towels as pillows and now have to go to the doctor bc I pulled my neck after two nights without a pillow.

Front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. We had a suite so I am guessing it was a bit larger than a regular room but it was really wonderful to have the extra space. The room was clean and the breakfast was decent (the coffee was good for hotel coffee). Would certainly stay here again when I am in the area.

The room was fine and spacious. The walls were paper thin and I could hear the neighbors and was probably getting a contact high from their endless weed smoking. I always travel with room spray and a noise maker, so I drown out their smell and sounds. I also sprayed some room spray under their door for them ;)

Room was clean. Carpet seemed fairly new. Tub/shower could us an upgrade. Toilet only flushed by holding down the handle until completely empty. Could not adjust the AC unit. Overall it was a great place and felt safe.

We came here for a birthday weekend away with our family of 6. From the minute we got there we were greeted by this very sweet girl, Amber. She was very friendly and got us everything we needed without even being asked including the extra sheets for the pull out and getting a big cart for us. The room was very clean and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back.

I had to cancel my visit several days prior to our planned trip. I requested a refund from Expedia. They said it was up to the hotel. I spoke to the hotel, they said they had to comply with Expedia policy. Both Expedia and Comfort Inn pointed fingers at each other as an excuse to not refund our reservation. In the end they both took their cut and we got nothing refunded. Don't ever use this service.

After getting a room that was not yet cleaned and a room that smelled, we got in our room and after 30 minutes another guest got our Keys and came into our room. Then our key didn’t work when I tried to talk to staff and renter our room. The staff was incompetent and the management refused to offer a refund to us and to Expedia, would return emails or calls or take any responsibility for the potentially dangerous error. For safety reasons, please do not book this hotel.

Check in Person seemed to have an issue with giving us a second key to our room. He said to come back in a little while because he didn’t have any other ones. When I went back to get the key I stood there for about 10mins and had to yell. I could hear him and others in the back laughing and talking. The morning of check out we said to the lady about only having one room key. She told us they had many boxes of them and there was no reason we should have only been able to get one key

We have stayed with this Comfort Inn, Chestertown, MD location in the past. Breakfast is handy, nearby grocery store and eateries are convenient. Farmers Market on Saturday and trendy Mom & Pop shops are close by. The staff are efficient and ice machines are abundant along with a washer/dryer (coins required) are an appreciated touch not to mention plenty of hot water for the shower. Best of all the pool has been scrubbed sparkling clean up and running beautifully...that was a real happy surprise.
