We booked this hotel so our family could swim in the pool. The indoor “heated” pool was freezing and we could not swim. I gave my kids a warm shower and hot bath. The bathroom door was so heavy it shut on my son’s fingers leaving a welt across his ring finger. The juice and hot chocolate machines were not working at breakfast and we had to go back to the room to grab water bottles .

Everyone was so friendly, the front desk staff from the moment we checked in until we checked out were so helpful and courteous. I ran into problems printing something in the Business Center and even though it was very late at night, I was still helped by the staff. The bathroom was a little dated with some repaired wall damage, but other than that, this was a great value for the money. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a wedding to attend and stayed bc it was move-in week for the area colleges. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was limited but sufficient. The bed was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the facility was not the cleanest. The pool was dirty, and the room had a musty smell. The lobby was hot and humid. The curtains were broken. The AC in the room worked well, but made loud noises that sounded like it was going to break. It did not and remained a working unit throughout the reservation (3 days/2 nights). Overall, not worth the cost per night. Cortland is a depressed area overall with little to do, but if you are in the area, check out the 1890 house.

would totally stay here again. Very nice employees, clean, comfy. Only downside was equipment in gym was broken and pull out couch mattress was awful-so my son slept on the couch as a couch, not a pull out.

Don’t stay here. The rooms were outdated, and several outlets didn’t work. The workout room had a broken TV and machine leaving only a treadmill and a bike to work with. I was out there for business and originally booked a week. I had to cancel my stay after one night and the manager was no where to be seen. Expedia was unable to contact him until late the next day which only allowed a refund of 1 of the 4 nights.

great stay. I just needed one night close to SUNY for the Empire games. After competition I relaxed in the very cold pool, which was nice. Pretty lobby, nice staff. Would recommend.

Nice stay near the Greek Peak ski area and Shipwrecks waterpark. We arrived to our room to find it approximately 197°F. We immediately cracked the window, turned off the heat, and engaged the air conditioning device until a more comfortable living temperature was achieved. Staff were friendly. The refrigerator made a bunch of noise. WiFi didn't work that great. The hotel is conveniently located within a short distance of Cortland and Homer which both have quality dining options. The vending machines were apparently recently removed which is peculiar. The front desk has bottled water available for purchase. Didn't make it into the pool, but it was a nice area and I'm sure would be refreshing. It was a nice stay despite the few minor issues.

The room was clean. The public areas were not. There was a lot of junk behind the reception desk. The rugs and upholstery in the halls and lobby area were soiled. There were piles of dirty linens in the hallway at 7:30 at night and in the next morning.

I usually don't write bad reviews, but this time, but what we experienced horrible. Room was smelly, the hotel was very dirty. They told us that breakfast starts 8am, but we went 8:30 and there was nothing left. For 1 night for 1 room we paid $377.

The property seems new but unfortunately its not well maintained. Continental breakfast was not good but that was the least of our problems. Visible dust in the stairs and handles. Rooms with stained carpet and mattresses. Bathrooms with brown/black mold in some corners, the presumably white towels were a weird/scary tone of gray. We had to be moved to another room at midnight because, unfortunately for us, there were bed bugs in the first room. The second room had a huge brown stain in one of the mattresses. The bedroom door needed to be pushed extra hard in order to get it open, seems like the floor is uneven and it even cracks when you walk. I cant believe none of the mattresses had a cover for protection. Disgusting and dirty, very expensive for a mediocre service and poor maintenance. Would NEVER visit again.

Convenient to SUNY Cortland. Helpful staff. Good breakfast options. Comfortable beds. My only concern about this property is in the general upkeep and maintenance. I was given a room with a window that didn’t close completely, making the road noise very loud inside the room. The staff member graciously moved me to a different room and said he would make note of the maintenance issue. However, when I spoke with my husband later, he told me that he had also been placed in that room on his last trip and asked to move. That was well over a year ago. It seems like that would be enough time to fix a window. Other than that, the hotel was sufficient for my needs, though if I had a choice of staying there again or down the road, I would probably choose down the road.

This was a perfect place to stay close to the baseball fields (like less than 1 min close). Breakfast was your standard continental breakfast. I do have 2 suggestions for breakfast, 1. with games starting at 8am and being so close to the fields, starting at 7am is a bit late. 6 or even 6:30am would be much better. 2. The individual servings of cream cheese need to be refrigerated at all times placing them in with the breads that are not refrigerated isn’t good. This was the case on both Sat and Sun mornings. The rooms were clean, most stuff seems to be updated fairly recently and the bed was comfortable. The only area that didn’t looked to be touched was the stairwells but honestly it’s not a big deal to me. I will say the noise from the road can be a bit loud sometimes but it’s manageable.

The staff took 25 minutes to check us in, gave us a handicapped room whose drain did not work so taking a shower flooded the bathroom floor and I had to mop it up to even walk in there, and the carpet had dirty looking spots.

We stayed for two nights at Best Western Plus Finger Lakes. The location is convenient - close to shopping, restaurants, and right next to a mini golf course. Parking was easy and plentiful, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Customer service at the front desk was poor, and they weren’t flexible about a late checkout. Breakfast options were limited, there was no hairdryer in our bathroom, and no room service during our stay. If you need extra towels, you’re required to bring your used ones down to the front desk to exchange them, which felt unnecessarily inconvenient. We also had the bad luck of being placed next to few rooms booked by families attending a youth baseball tournament. The teenage boys were loud and unsupervised in the hallways both nights, keeping us up until midnight when we had early mornings planned. It made for a frustrating and restless stay. Don’t stay here. The rooms were outdated, and several outlets didn’t work. The workout room had a broken TV and machine leaving only a treadmill and a bike to work with. I was out there for business and originally booked a week. I had to cancel my stay after one night and the manager was no where to be seen. Expedia was unable to contact him until late the next day which only allowed a refund of 1 of the 4 nights.

Owner n staff were amazingly cordial and accommodating , lent me phone charger, cork screw and toothpaste as I forgot those items at home. Owner took the time to chat and even searched for a channel on lobby TV for us. Rooms were clean, nice and spacious .

Staff did not notify of morning construction noise, and water shutoff at 11 the day before. Had overnight work and slept late, but morning had construction before 9am, an intrusive shrilling 10am call with a demand to shower now. A demand to checkout. I was the only guest. Asked for extra hour and they called and threatened to charge second day. Just rude, evasive, prevaricated, and lied by omission. Lobby has a foul odor. Wasted money for a tortuous and obtrusive stay without apology or consideration.

This was a perfect place to stay close to the baseball fields (like less than 1 min close). Breakfast was your standard continental breakfast. I do have 2 suggestions for breakfast, 1. with games starting at 8am and being so close to the fields, starting at 7am is a bit late. 6 or even 6:30am would be much better. 2. The individual servings of cream cheese need to be refrigerated at all times placing them in with the breads that are not refrigerated isn’t good. This was the case on both Sat and Sun mornings. The rooms were clean, most stuff seems to be updated fairly recently and the bed was comfortable. The only area that didn’t looked to be touched was the stairwells but honestly it’s not a big deal to me. I will say the noise from the road can be a bit loud sometimes but it’s manageable.

Nice stay near the Greek Peak ski area and Shipwrecks waterpark. We arrived to our room to find it approximately 197°F. We immediately cracked the window, turned off the heat, and engaged the air conditioning device until a more comfortable living temperature was achieved. Staff were friendly. The refrigerator made a bunch of noise. WiFi didn't work that great. The hotel is conveniently located within a short distance of Cortland and Homer which both have quality dining options. The vending machines were apparently recently removed which is peculiar. The front desk has bottled water available for purchase. Didn't make it into the pool, but it was a nice area and I'm sure would be refreshing. It was a nice stay despite the few minor issues.

We booked this hotel so our family could swim in the pool. The indoor “heated” pool was freezing and we could not swim. I gave my kids a warm shower and hot bath. The bathroom door was so heavy it shut on my son’s fingers leaving a welt across his ring finger. The juice and hot chocolate machines were not working at breakfast and we had to go back to the room to grab water bottles .

It was ok. If you’re going to a PBR tournament in Cortland, it’s location is perfect. I don’t have anything bad to say - it was on the shabbier side - but it was a clean comfortable place to sleep. nothing special. FYI, the “hot breakfast” promised was powdered eggs & make your own waffle. Otherwise it was a fridge with yogurts & some prepackaged muffins.

Poor cleanliness. Poor breakfast and not enough for all the guests. Very short time of breakfast serving. Very slippery entrance and driveway. I had to ask the attendant to spread salt and even then, he was hesitant and told me to just be careful… Very poor heating system (bad sensors), always hot and very dry air. Beds were comfortable.

Nope!!! Cleanliness is the main issue. Breakfast nopes, hygiene gone for a toss (shower wasn't clean, mold, hair, stain) The front desk senior person is humble and the only good thing about this hotel.

I had to check out a day early and drive home because of biz plan cancellations that occurred while I was here. I was informed that I could not receive a price reduction because of the cancel less than 48 hrs prior. I paid for this hotel charge on my own, not from corporate money. The Hotel keeping my 1 day charge because of cancellation is not ethical despite what the corporate policy is, its wrong. I will not book with this hotel again.

Just stayed here for a quick overnight. Location was ok—there is a mini golf place next door and major shopping within a 5 minute drive. Room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was VERY basic—mandarins, yogurt, cereal, bread/toast, bagels, muffins, eggs, sausages, and waffle maker.
