Ok so it’s a budget hotel, can accept that but some things to point out. The rooms downstairs are small and have no view, it’s basically a cell Renovations in place leaving exposed 240v wiring at foot level on skirting board in common area The shared kitchen was just simply gross Fire alarm went off 6.30 pm, no idea of warden control or checking that everyone was out into designated areas, just a clusterfuck to watch !!

Room not aired, no teaspoon to stir coffee, television only had a few channels, not even the local channels, very very basic room, community type kitchen filthy.

This property should be condemned. I felt unsafe walking on the patio because the boards bent and threatened to break as I stepped on them. The patio railing was held in place by a shelf bracket and the boards had broken as someone stepped on them. The power board to the rusty fridge and kettle just lay on the floor. What I saw on the web page was nowhere near what we were given. The room was exceptionally small and pokey. The shower had rust and mildew in it. The building itself was horrible with old mattresses lent on walls for who knows what. There was about 12 parks for the 50 odd residents and the drive so narrow it took a long time to maneuver to get out. We will NEVER go back and nor should anyone else. It should be condemned because it is unhealthy and unsafe. They should refund our money

The staff was lovely but it was dirty, bed where uncomfortable, you could hear people walking down the hallway/ closing doors and anyone could have walked in off the street as entrances was open as well as the room door need better locks.

This is more a hostel than a hotel, not clean, cigarette burns on the blanket and sheets, bathroom dirty, cockroaches in the rooms, not good waking up to one on your face, no parking within 6 blocks as limited spots on site. Was cheap and convenient for our needs as close to the hospital but would we stay again? NO definitely not

Obviously this news very cheap. But cheap isn’t a reason do be completely run down and dirty. Stains all over the walls. Broken floors, sinks and tiles. Water stains all over the roof.

Poor security - main doors to building do not lock and anyone can access the buildings from the street. Had a random knock on the door at 4 in the morning. Facilities condition is poor with cockroaches and grime on surfaces.

Never will I stay there again. Very limited parking filthy kitchen. Musty selling room has long term tenants and is not secure back of my ute broken into. Lucky nothing was taken

The photos provided on the web site/s do not accurately reflect the property. I understand that this was budget accommodation & therefore wasn't expecting the world however the overall state of the property is run down. Sheets were clean but, bed covers were dirty. The main entry to each accomodation block is an open doorway accessible to anyone 24/7. Locks on individual room doors are very basic.

The Cliff House was truely terrible. Health services should take a proper look at this place, it was disgustingly covered in mould, bugs, dirt, and other unhygienic conditions. Wasn’t even worth a cheaper price, within hours of getting there I asked for a refund and to move somewhere else. The lobby was dirty, each door had dirt all over them and the hallways and stairs looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in years. As I stepped into my room, the first thing I noticed was gross walls and mould covering the bathroom, it looked like it hadn’t been even wiped over from last guest or vacuumed. Second thing I noticed, was a TOE NAIL on my bedside table, unwashed marks on bedsheets, tobacco crumbs in drawers, and unwashed utensils. I stayed one night, it seemed unsafe and doors were wide open for anyone on the street to walk in. The neighbours were loud but I did hear someone else asking for a refund, definitely was a drug house. There were scratches on the floors(?) and just bugs everywhere. I’m a 19 year old solo traveler trying to find places for cheap, but would absolutely NOT recommend even if you’re looking for backpacking accommodation. Saw the “cleaners” as I was leaving, just one guy with his pants down to his ass. Just go to an AirBnb instead.

Room dirty, mouldy and run down … will never book this “hotel” again.

Filthy dirty,roaches everywhere, even blood splatter up the walls in the bathroom from junkies shooting up. Didn't sleep for fear I might swallow cockroaches in my sleep. Blood on sheets, black mould and when I complained and checked out early he was rude and stated that I would only get back the money paid for the 2 nights I didn't stay even though I'd tried to speak with someone on arrival after seeing the putrid state of the accommodation and there was no one around. Goes to show how lovely a place is when they won't even stick around...YUCK,PUTRID, UNHYGIENIC, GRUBBY. I'D GIVE NO STARS

Filthy. My towel was dirty and had blood stains on it. The fridge is growing mound just like the shower. I would not have a shower due to the dirty conditions. This goes for the 4 rooms we rented. One had cockroaches on the floor. I expect a refund. If you want photos I can send.

Absolutely filthy! The bedsheets didn’t look like had been cleaned, the towels were damp, the room STANK of mouldy porridge, there was cockroaches everywhere, mould in the bathroom, the shower looks like it had never been cleaned, the whole place smelt, the mattress felt like we were laying on the floor. Horrible experience could not pay me to stay there again! It looks like a covid breading ground.

The property is dirty and run down, with roaches and ants in the room and black mould all over the bathroom.

The room was absolutely filthy. Cockroaches run everywhere, including cups and plates. Shower is broken and stay up secured by tape. Bathroom door lock is broken.

You could not pay me to stay here, I left within 15 minutes of arriving and slept in my car instead. The room was absolutely filthy, the shower had white mould and build up, there was mouldy food in the fridge, graffiti on the walls, cockroaches, leaking roof. I was absolutely appalled that a place like this has not been shut down. I will definitely be seeking a refund. Do not risk staying here.

Beyond disappointed.Nothing like the photos, it was filthy. Roaches coming out of the switches,black mould,I was furious and due to the time we got there I couldn't go anywhere else because I spent what I had on that dump. No signage for where to park and when I complained the next morning he was rude and would only refund the 2 nights I wouldn't be staying knowing that I had no choice the night before. I didn't sleep a minute while there,scared I'd swallow a cockroach, it was FILTHY!! The tv wasn't even on the wall, it was on the bench and if I could I'd attach photos...I'M SO ANGRY!!!

The Cliff House was in a great locaton for us, walking distance to where we needed to go, however the facilities were a bit poor, airconditioner leaked, shared facilities were filthy.

The room was not clean, there were insects roaming on the walls on the first day, and there were loud arguments between other tenets in the halls all night. Other than that it was a place to crash for the night.

We stayed one night 14th Dec 2023 (checked in 4pm, visit the city from 4.30pm to 11.30pm, then checked out 6am next day), King Bed Room 102. This is our experience during that time. You cant phone the property, no one answer the phone nor return the call. So you dont know and cant get any info until you go there. Once we went there The Owner/Manager (Chinese Nationality?) was very helpful even though he found it difficult to speak in English. He tried his best. In a very packed condition, the room had one king bed, cloths cabinet, small fridge, water heater Jug, Hair dryer, toilet/showers, tea/coffee/sugar, cups/soccer/plates, shampoo/conditioner/soap, and towels. Quality was average, but ok for the price $100, cleanliness was average (closer to the poor), we saw cockroaches, Bath room/toilet was not that bad, It took a while to get hot water to the showers, Air Con was noisy/vibrating. Window blind to the toilet/bathroom was broken so was not possible to close properly (other side blind wall?) Noisy when people walk in the adjacent corridor, open/close doors, feel bit insecure as the gates/doors are open always to the outside road. No one to look after you during after hours, you are all alone. Doors/locks/windows are not that great, that you can depend for your security. Only support will be 000 if you survive until they come. But, honestly, we didn't have any idea about the safety in that area. We didn't notice anything suspicious. Outdoor Microwave was handy.

Well as soon as i got there .bugs in the fridge and on the walls. Not nice place. Could here everyone's conversation thought the thin walls got woken up bye someone yelling. Not nice place. Never ever going back there

This very budget accomodation was perfectly located for our needs. A bus stop is directly in front. Lovely cafe on Kangaroo Point Cliffs is a 200m walk as is the historic Pineapple Hotel. The room provided good air conditioning and adequate bed and bathroom. Only able to access ABC on TV. Recommend taking own pillow. The room is old, not well maintained or cleaned. Only recommend if you need a cheap bed - don't expect more.

The room was too small..the bathroom basin was damaged. Overall it was just acceptable but that particular room needs to be remodelled, repainted, and repaired.

Check in was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful but the photos in the listing are very out of date, the condition is a lot more run down than shown. The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired (there were still loose beard trimmings on the hand basin showing it hadn't even been wiped). I guess you get what you pay for, but I still would have expected a cleaner room for that price. Also, the free wifi didn't reach my room, although youtube on the tv worked fine.

Not bad for cheap accommodation, close to the cbd and shops. The attendant was very helpful and the cleaners are nice and helpful. However I feel bad for them as some of the guests were terribly noisy late at night.

The lovely kiwi lady at the front desk was absolutely a gem 5 stars for her the rest of the property was disgraceful falling apart looks dirty needs alot of work done to it definitely not worth the money

Did not even get the same room that i booked. Room was so filthy. Rubbish was left by previous guests. Someone's toe nails was left on the sheets. Spoke to the manager about it, he was so rude and abusive. Did not wanna do anything about it and was blaming the expedia website and said we can leave the room and can get half refund. Are you freaking kidding me, how the hell we are gonna find a room in last minute. Seriously, mate if you don't like your job get the hell outta there. If it was me i would've fired you on your first day. I stay in hotels quite often never had to deal with anything like this. This was the worse experience ever. Will never go back there. Go anywhere else but don't book you stay there.

If I could give zero stars I would. Booked so I had somewhere relatively close to the airport for an early flight. Got there and the room smelt weird, opened the bathroom door and the smell of mould was so bad I became physically sick. There was also no smoke alarm in the room, there were bugs and the walls were dirty. Rang reception and they agreed to provide a refund, did then charged me again. Had to fight to get a refund again! Don’t stay there!!!!!!!

Staff were rude, didn’t even acknowledge us when we arrived. We had been in a cruise and disembarked early do i thought we would go early to drop off our luggage then find something else to do while waiting for our check in time. Then discovered our room was at the bottom of dangerously steep stairs. May not be a problem usually but we had excessive and heavy luggage. Then the beds were uncomfortable, the pillows flat and offer no support, thin blanket on the bed (in winter!) walls were dirty and there were cockroaches. I’m adding a photo of the one on the fridge, but there were more. My sister found 6 when she moved the kettle. I wouldn’t stay here again. Also, there’s not much in the area in terms of food and shopping.

park and accommodation suited what i needed. Easy access to a cafe, the Pineapple Pub and the Gabba to watch my Blueboys Carlton.

Cheap and flosecto southbank and the city with parking.

Great location. I was attending the cricket match at the Gabba and it was within 15 min walk but then I saw bus stop outside and I used it and it took me 4 minutes only to reach the stadium.

Great value for money & quality options overlooking the city. Short stop over stay and so close to the Gabba

It was very convenient and close to where I needed to be in Brisbane for my series of meetings. It is a little in need of some maintenance (flaking paint in some spots) but not overly so. I would recommend it to others in the future.

I really love that it is small and convenient. Also it’s closer to Kangaroo point.

It was very cheap. Love the location as it s close to CBD and Soutbank Parklands
