Spa and Resort Hotel Solage Oita Hiji Beppuwan

Beautiful onsen hotel. The only problem was their name says they are in Oijo but the are actually 50 kilometers away and the taxi ride wa 10,000 yen. You need to take a local train to Hiji and a taxi from there for 2000 yen.

Room had a fabulous view out to sea. Booked the hotel for the kids to use the waterslide but it was not open (despite it being September and still very hot) - that was disappointing. The kids did have fun nonetheless in the arcade and squash court. Property was tired and run down, outdoor areas overgrown and not maintained. It was very clean though. Perhaps it is better maintained at peak periods? Staff friendly and helpful.

So sad that the water park not available during my visit day. It opens since 13/7. I’m about one week ahead. And misleading by website when book. But the sea view is great and give you a relax holiday feel. The staffs are helpful.

静かに海を眺めながらの朝食にゆったりとした時間を過ごす事ができました。温泉も良く、のんびり過ごす事ができました。

ホテルのアンケートにも書いたが 卓球とラケットボールの部屋にエアコンがなく 暑すぎてできなかったのが残念！ バイキングは種類も多く良かったがステーキやオムレツを焼きながら提供してたら最高だった。 カラオケの料金が高すぎでびっくりした。 総合的には良かったです。
